    There is no content in this game. Bad UI. 2 days to finish campaign and the story is garbage.

    F1 for inventory? Your storage UI, wtf is that? Have they not looked at how other role playing games do their storage UI? You put the storage inventory and player inventory side by side, not make people press F1 to open and close your character sheet.     Issues:
    Can't see clan members... Really?
    Only 3 people can be in a strike or do anything in the public together? - Is this an MMO or what?
    Can't see members of your group on the map. -Really?
    Small game world, each planet is tiny.
    Short campaign with not enough endgame content. -2 Days to finish campaign then stuck grinding the same crap over and over.
    One RAID after 2 months being out on consoles and PC.
    Three "strikes" after 2 months being out.
    No gear variety, everyone looks the same and gets the same small pool of legendary and exotic gear. Legendary and Exotic gear are not really legendary or exotic because everyone get them same gear...
    Me and my friends are bored already and it's only been 2 weeks.

    Expansion after 2 months that you have to pay $20 for. NO content in expansion.

    Bungie, please go play Borderlands first before you release more garbage.    … Expand

    Despite far exceeding recommended specs, my experience with Destiny 2 on PC is filled with random freezing then crashes with no error codes. This is the only PC game that I have experienced this on, and Bungie provide no support when seeking assistance.

    I strongly advise potential buyers stay away, until the game is patched and playable.

    i guess if you keep the game with the console peasants it can work (altough barely because even they wised up.) but you bring this to PC? i mean... come on. we have warframe for a lot more entertaining grind, we got csgo/siege/even overwatch for a great fps pvp... i mean this game is like a very very boring, dry, and empty version of borderlands.

    Graphics good, everything else bleh.

    I am a sucker, a game junkie, but boy Destiny 2 became boring so fast. It doesn't make me want to OCD grind, maybe I should thank them for that.

    Oh well.

    Maybe the later content will make it better but as it stands at the moment, it is not worth the price at all.

    Ah yes...you cannot communicate in the game with others, even if they are standing right next to you because there is no GLOBAL CHAT!!!!!

    Probably they will add "INVITE A FRIEND IN YOUR FIRETEAM IN-GAME" as a DLC in some future update....    … Expand

    destiny 2 did everything bad they did destiny 1 and called this piece of **** sequal. Well they are not lying... It's as bad as its predecessor. Don't buy this game or believe those "real" reviewer, they are paid to speak good about this game.

    Boring game which surprisingly is a step down from its predecessor. I put Destiny 1 down after around ~1000 hrs of playtime while this game was dead for me after ~40 hrs. Would recommend to stay away.

    It's like No Man's Sky again. Horrible grindfest. Do not buy this game. Forgettable story, boring planets, same enemies over and over again. The only good thing about this game is the graphics, but again, it reminds me of No Man's Sky on the day it was released.

    now well go to the negative points

    -1 month after release they are going to release a DLC. such a thing should be illegal and is plain cash grab nothing more. Couldn't they wait 1 month with the release and add more content to the game?

    -the content of which we speak, where is it? there is very little to do in destiny 2. After youve beaten the campagin you can level up your lightlevel, but wheres the point in that? You don't get stronger by doing that. in fact you even get weaker. I felt much stronger at lightlevel 200 than on lightlevel 300.
    in the first 5 days ive leveld 3 characters to max level and reached lightlevel 300 with them. Thats 1 week of content. there's nothing more to do for me except wait for bungie to add paid DLC into the game

    -PvP theres 2 modes in Destiny 2. Its 4vs4 or 4vs4. Thats right its 2 modes where you play the same thing. Hey maybe the DLC will ad a 4vs4 mode, i think thats missing. Wheres the deathmatch? wheres the big battles with vehicles from destiny 1? it is the most boring pvp game i've ever played

    -Story. If you're into a story that a 12 year old wrote than this game is for you, timetraveling robots, darkness, good vs evil everythings there

    theres alot of small things that make this game unbelievably bad, i wont even list them all but things that show laziness and money grabing
    -aim assist perks on weapons when theres no aim assist
    -exotic gear that does nothing like the darci sniper and lucky pants
    -no world chat, no chat at all. you cant talk in this online game to strangers. only to people you're in group with
    -there are chests in the game scattered around the world but if you loot them to fast then they'll stop giving you loot.
    -shaders arent reusable

    overall i cant recommend this game in this state nor the state after they release dlcs worth 200$

    Never played destiny 1. Excited for this game. Played game, wtf is this lol? It's not open-world its all small and instanced. Grouping with other people is downright painful, why not just make a matchmaking option for missions like wtf is this 2009? Thought this was supposed to be a MMO FPS/RPG but what the hell is this? This should be free 2 play at BEST. just UGH.

The gambling extends beyond loot crate slot-machine-esque 'gameplay' in the PC version however, as a number of players have been getting instantly banned for opening up the game with discord or other overlays (such a recording software) open (and the plebs say discord is better than skype, psh).

    To summarise:

    I am going to give you an example. What did i get, not a f*cking thing.

    This is destiny 2 in a nutshell. The story is OK at best, short, predictable, lazy, after the story, the game i basically over. Even the grind to aquire better gear level is so boring i actually logged out of the game and went downstairs and asked my girlfriend how her day was, she looked at me and asked me if i was feeling well. No, i wasnt feeling well, i felt **** sad.

    This game has so much potential, how about one huge open world, with stories, events, quests for legendary gear, pvp, treasure hunting, constant progression, perks, so many different weapons you could have a loadout not everyone playing the same class as you had. a game that rewards exploring, crafting combining recources with shaders and mods to get armour pieces that were utterly unique, That would be amazing!

    instead i am left with an impression of being scammed, this game promised so much, had so much potential, the game looks gorgeous. Just imagine, if one of the zombies working at bungie had said; guys, lets make this game the mother**** best game open world rpg shooter the world has ever **** seen. Lets make the god damn World of Warcraft of shooters. No, instead they make a theme-park piece of crap that looks golden but has less content then my Instagram DM`s.

    Dont buy this game, its a cheap moneygrab and feels like a gold plated potato. i give this game a 2/10 because it looks nice.

    The gameplay is a boring grind with no challenge and has nothing new to offer, the story is full of holes and simply garbage, the characters have no character and are forgettable, the multiplayer aspect is simply not there and half of the game is locked behind a paywall.
    Destiny 2? No, its simply destiny 1.5. This whole series is a lie.

    The campaign is boring and linear, there aren't real new enemies and the biggest problem?
    Keeps crashing every 10 min and in 7 hours of gameplay i have only done 12 levels because of this problem. I really wish i could get my money back

You literally just find the same pieces of boring armor over and over again. I thought this might be redeemed by being able to eventually use exotics - nope, you can only equip one exotic armor and one exotic weapon, non exotic armor does literally nothing. The in-game fps counter is a lie, mine will continuously say 90+ yet feel like 10.

    Any points that I could have awarded this game for anything would be more than negated by the season pass/loot box combo. It's an empty shell to attempt to get more money out of you when they "fix" it.    … Expand

The result is a game focused on gear which has an uncertain relationship to actual gameplay and sometimes none at all.

    The world is small, load times are intrusive, interactions with other players are minimal, and the menus are unnecessarily unwieldy.

    On the plus side, many of the guns are well-designed and satisfying to use. Item stats can be customized with a remarkable degree of depth that stands prominently in contrast to the rest of the game's absence of subtlety.

    The PvP maps are fairly well designed. You won't find yourself being shot in the back or unable to find cover very often, particularly just as you spawn. The absence of large battles is sorely noted, however.

    The game is plagued by "ultimates," following the model of Overwatch/League of Legends/DotA. Periodically players receive an unreasonable increase to their power, which is supposed to be "fun" and to mix up the gameplay. Thankfully, the ultimates in this game are not quite as frequent nor as powerful as the ones found in Overwatch. Whereas in Overwatch you may find that an unpleasantly large proportion of your deaths are caused by someone's ultimate, and that you are generally powerless against someone using their ultimate, in Destiny 2 you will feel that you still have a fighting chance against most ultimates and consequently they will not amount to a majority of your deaths.

    As for the the game's story, it is an unmitigated disaster. The writing is inexcusable and frankly embarrassing. The villain is not in the least bit compelling, commanding absolutely no respect whatsoever. An attempt was made to make up for what he lacked in character with sheer bulk, with the end result being a sort of fat, alien Bane recycling lazy dialogue about how he is the bad guy.

    The protagonists suffer from a similar flatness of character. Their names are not memorable over the course of the entire campaign, even the "funny robot" who is meant to be the one guy you actually remember. The proliferation of "token minorities" among the cast stands as testament to their absence of value as narrative vehicles.

    The abundance of cutscenes during the campaign is painful, particularly when considering their high-budget nature and their simultaneous complete lack of meaningful narrative. If the campaign had had a handful of lazily-crafted cutscenes to go along with their lazy story it would have been easier to forgive the campaign as merely an unwelcome tutorial, but the barrage of high-budget cutscenes instead leaves one with an impression of the vast waste of resources that went into this uninspired portion of the game. Perhaps the game could have been $10-$20 cheaper if only this embarrassment of a campaign had not left the drawing board.    … Expand

Throughout the entirety of the campaign, I was left asking why any of what I was seeing was happening, and it seems like the game was just as confused.

    The port is technically solid, but everything else    It's a bog-standard shooter with a pretty aesthetic. The story is nearly non-existent, there's still no in-game encyclopedia, and this goes to further tear the world of Destiny apart. Throughout the entirety of the campaign, I was left asking why any of what I was seeing was happening, and it seems like the game was just as confused.

The game doesn't really take off until post game (level 20) at which point you can start doing strikes and getting Legendary Gear. The game plateaus at item level 260 at which point you basically need Legendary and Exotic Ingrams to get any better gear. And the grindy repetitive feel of the game as you progress and get these power soft locks (Until mostly grp activities are done) just feels like Bungie trying to draw out the game as long as possible. Such a shame, the game looks extremely well, its a master-peace on the eyes, sadly everything else is complete and utter dogshig.     the port was amazing with the same solid gunplay as in Destiny 1, but the publisher held this game back far from its full potential. They again should have waited a year before rushing out an unfinished game. The trick to getting your money's worth with Destiny games is to wait a year to buy the full game with all the extra content for $40. They burned their day 1 supporters twice in a row.

Game is not worth the money but its a fun game to play with friends when you want a coop shooter. All in all I think bungie's talent is extremely wasted on this game.     If you feel the need to punish yourself or think that a bad quality fast food burger is worth a top cuisine price tag, please buy that crap it will make you super happy. This is one uniquely kind of game, that is relatively good looking but has such a crappy aftertaste in almost any aspect (totally incoherent and blundered story, bugs, design faults, willful programmed obsolescence,If you feel the need to punish yourself or think that a bad quality fast food burger is worth a top cuisine price tag, please buy that crap it will make you super happy. This is one uniquely kind of game, that is relatively good looking but has such a crappy aftertaste in almost any aspect (totally incoherent and blundered story, bugs, design faults, willful programmed obsolescence, deceitful game mechanics etc etc etc), that you can not stop the urge rinsing your mouth with powerful disinfectant, as with every new bite and extension you want to vomit more out than you already ate. DO NOT BUY THAT CRAP.

    It would not be fair to give that game a 0, because it can be fun playing it initially, yet after a short while (yeah the so called story line is rather quickly done...) and when one has grinded long enough to get the character classes and sub-classes to max, one quickly gets the epiphany that that was it. One raid in the endgame with a prestige mode that does not really get you better stats loot, repetitive strikes and heroic strikes and nightfall activities that result in no big loot gains but having ridiculous features in it, so you only can play them more or less with pro players only because of some really bad modifier combos.

    My advice. Join the first clan you are invited into. If they suck, which they most likely will, leave and wait for the next one. Clans is the "minimized exposure" that Bungie has designed for the socially frail people that are online these days. Made to ensure you only ever meet at most 100 people at a time, if you dare to. Or in the very least, add every single player you see that waves at you as a friend, then later on kick them off if they are just listening to terrible music and have no idea they also have a microphone on their laptop.     Quite a boring game. The game mechanics were quite poor. Multiplayer loading took a very long time to join a game. Very grindy game--lots of repetitive mob killing. The story was not interesting to me. The voice acting was poor.

    I also asked for a refund, and got denied.

    Game is too expensive for what i offers. 50 pounds for base game and 30 for DLC? Just to get 20 hours of gameplay out of them? I don't have the time to get into clans and do the raid with them, and there is no matchmaking either so there is no endgame for me at this point. Regret making my purchase.

The adventure missions are basically grinding missions, which can be fun as long as there is a nice goal for the grinding, which I have not found. The campaign did not take to my attention the missions itself were fun but they did not make me care about the story at all.     There is no reason for a legitimate company to behave in such a shady way as if trying to escape responsibility. Surely this wasn't meant to be some quick money grab scheme of a project.     - Campaign is very short, very linear. From the very beginning you know that you have to kill a token "bad guy" named Gary and once you do that - that's it. All you have left with is s-l-o-w-l-y grind your "power level" using repeatable    Worst game I have purchased this year and one of the worst I've ever played. Here are all the things you should be aware of before purchasing:

    - Campaign is very short, very linear. From the very beginning you know that you have to kill a token "bad guy" named Gary and once you do that - that's it. All you have left with is s-l-o-w-l-y grind your "power level" using repeatable "Adventures"/patrols/strikes/Public Events, ALL of which happen in same exact tiny areas you've visited throughout campaign where you do same exact thing, over and over and over. Oh, and yea, there's also a single "raid".
    - The "raid" thing: there's only one so far and it's easily exploitable for now, with several ways to significantly "shorten" it.
    - The PvP system: just a bad joke with only 4v4 mode.
    - Social features: another bad joke. No good text chat system (especially for things like guild/group), no good voice system (not even proximity voice chat), most of the communications with other players are done through very few available emotes (unless you'll somehow coax other person into installing a Discord or other third-party chat/VoIP client). The whole "clan" system is another joke - it barely works now, causing people performance issues (just by joining clan) or issues with not displaying any clan members in clan list. Oh, and fun fact: you can't see your clan members in any in-game location unless you actively group with them (because the in-game world is EXTREMELY instanced). And even the grouping system is a joke because it only allows 3 or 4 people per group (depending on the activity).
    - Game world feels "empty" most of the time - occasionally you might see someone joining in the Public Event... Or you might be stuck doing it all by yourself, with only a couple of other random people just doing their own thing on the same "planet" area. This is due to very anti-social and highly instanced "hybrid" client-server/p2p system Bungie is using even on PC platform.

    The only "positive" thing you might notice is that the game engine performs very well even on low-powered PC. But that's kind of expected considering that you won't see many players in any area anyway (especially for PvP mode). All in all, no way in hell it is worth its current retail price (unless you'll get your "review copy" for free so you can write a mandatory "10/10" review), and if you still want to try it out - wait for it to go on sale for $10-15 sometime next year then buy it, your in-game experience won't be different but at least you'll save a significant amount of money.    … Expand

    Game was unplayable for me, I had memory leaks and had to restart game every 15 minutes.
    And of course game isn't good by itself, It's like you play some mediocre shooter from 2003.

    Usually either can't connect to server or I can load a mission for a handful of seconds before getting booted back to the main Orbit screen. None of the other online games I'm currently playing seem to have this issue at all. Soooo this product becomes largely unplayable. Can't contact support. Have to post on the forums.

    On the occasions when it is playable it's pretty fun but then I'll randomly get booted to orbit in the middle of a strike and lose my progress and won't get a chance at the final boss or the loot at complete random.

    Oh and then when I do manage to finish a mission, apparently I can go and decrypt an engram, have the new item popup screen appear for its contents but then they don't appear in my inventory. Again, they dont have customer service so I have to post on the forums only to hear "Bungie doesnt restore lost or deleted items"

    Probably would've given it a solid 6. But if you buy this game there's a chance it'll be pretty fun but if you're like all the people with connectivity issues and I can't imagine what else, there's a good chance you wasted your money and again, there is no customer service to contact to help you fix whatever issue you encountered.

    The only real positive here is the graphics / art direction. Besides that there's a heavy dose of micro transactions, very little content and somehow it feels even more bland than the first Destiny. This is a game devoid of any passion for the medium, a cynical, uninspired cash grab that should be avoided at all costs.

Once i get there, I play for about 10 hours before my light level is completely maxed out, and i have the best weapons and stats. The end game is completely shallow, having you do completely tedious tasks for a meaningless number.     -Exotics are WAY TO RARE now, as a new player it will take years now to get them and you're not safe for dupliocates.

    -CAPS!!!! Glimmer cap only 100,000. seriously, increase it!!! shaders 50? postmaster already half full in a few weeks !!! like, what?! increase it!!! like all other caps I can't think of right now!

    -Rewards are god awful. Here have one of these, here more stuff to dismantle, here two of those, I feel like I'm dipping my little finger in a sea of rewards. constantly picking daily bounties on every planet that also mostly reward very little. Not to mention as somebody with a life, you're not getting much done and alot of the bounties will be left only halft done before reset! They also tell you how to play and not how you want to play!
    Imagine shifting all the bountie rewards to missions/strikes/raids/PvP activities....

    Multiplayer:
    -Cheaters not only wallhacking and aimbotting but also do DDOS other players during matches in all kinds of modes. I was attacked a few times. Tools/Tutorials are all over the Net!

    -Terrible Matchmaking, no Solo queue option for PvP, beginners are getting destroyd by OP builds and clans. I bet they are scared of the already low pvp player base and it really might take time to get a match for both sides, clan (stacks) and solo but at least more "balance if yu can call it"
    Right now it's a terrilbe experience!

    -Balance is garbage in this game. No skill based PvP at all, supers with semi god mode and kill everything like Call of Duty killstreaks. Out of hunderest of weapons, it feels like only 10 are being used. (snipers, shotguns, hand cannons and a very few rifles like Bygones are meta) everything else is super bad, beginners will need 20 shots and everyone else 1 or 2 shots with his exotic or legendary with god roll, masterworks and mods for it.

    -"Level Advandages disabled" in PvP is a lie, good gear being locked behind level 15-20 or a huge grind, you'll notice this easly on your second or third character if you want to jump on it early and test it. There is a indirect level advantage.

    -The game feels empty most of the time for being Multiplayer, alot of instances and solo instances in general, way to many emty public events, all you can do is juming back to orbit and going in again in hope the new instance has some players in it.
    The singleplayer camainge needs more random matchups like a few missions have already.
    Things like Blind Well need alternative matchmaking, same goes for Raids for people that have already completed the it solo and know what they are doing.
    Using third party software or websites for finding people is terrible and takes a lot of time for every activity you do, this should never be the case in any multiplayer game.
    Also this is not an MMO like some say, 12 player PvP and 9 co-op...? HA!

    Community:
    -Very anti-social community, almost no one uses voice or text chat.
    Almost no one is willing to help new players with raids or in any other activity!.

    -Community being split up with every new DLC/Expansion and the player base is decreasing because of all the past and present failures.    … Expand

After (for some stupid reason) putting 150+ hours into this game, I have not once played a single match of pvp without feeling the urge to pull all my hair out. The meta is so strongly defined by equipment that either comes extreme endgame or hoursI'm going to get right to the point. This game is broken. To put it simply, until you obtain these game-breaking items, there is no way you are ever going to have a good time in pvp. Out of hundreds of weapons and armor pieces to choose from, you are guarenteed to see maybe 3 different ones in play in pvp and even pve. It's unbelievable, and the developers sure take their sweet time between patches, leaving players with a mediocre experience for months at a time. It is a huge problem when players have been asking for changes and complete reworks to many of the games essential elements such as the ammo economy and supers. Supers are completely overpowered in both pve and pvp. They go from granting your entire fireteam invincibility for a long period of time or completely eliminating the need to reload. In pvp supers are going off constantly, and if you don't have a super to counter one on the enemy team, you are completely hopeless and will sometimes be killed more than once by the same guy in the same super. I can safely say avoid pvp at all costs. Unless you enjoy having a miserable grinding experience with terrible story progression for a price that this studio has some serious audacity asking for, I strongly advise avoiding this game and all its expansions until you find one hell of a discount.… Expand

The quests are so/so at best feeling like they were thrown in at the last minute to draw out the time to level. The level 20 grind is so horrible, It does nothing to show you whats next after the cap. Go do events or play PvP, that's all they really push you to.

    This feels completely unfinished. A fraction of a full priced game. How bad does a company have to fall to make an Ubisoft game make your game look like trash? Absolutely not worth anything over 20 bucks. If I could refund it I would in a heartbeat.

For instance the Main Quest, something you'd expect to be some sort of epic story, is "Complete activities… to acquire gear and raise your level." You'll find characters with guns and so many missions each that there'll be no focus to carry you forward, which was why I stopped playing for a while in the first place, but absence doesn't make the heart fonder, it just makes it worse.     While Destiny 2 has a solid foundation and a robust story campaign, its endgame content feels a little lacklustre. The sandbox doesn't have a whole lot of depth, and plumbing each of the hub worlds for secrets doesn't feel that rewarding. Grinding Public Events, Raids, and Strikes with friends is definitely a lot of fun, but there's a huge disconnect between content being cleared and your character strength increasing. There's still a lot of room for Destiny 2 to grow but, for now, it's still got a few kinks to work out.

    In a nutshell, Destiny 2 for PC is the same outstanding game we played on consoles, but even more enjoyable thanks to spectacular visuals, masterful optimization and much more suitable controls. [13/2017, p.75]

    Play this great shooter with your friends, it pays off. Then it will offer hours and hours of great fun without the stereotype. But be prepared the endgame will thoroughly test your patience and willingness to grind. [Issue#280]
