This game to this day remains compelling with 6 degrees of freedom, a corporate mercenary, space-themed backdrop, and some of the catchiest music that could turn any gamer into a badass alien killer. Superb level design and the end of level self-destruct sequences with timed planet escapes delivers the pulse-pounding thrill of arcade gaming that you don't find in the modern-day FPS. Descent has not lost its unique place in the history of games and deserves a place in your game library.… Expand

    Descent was a brain-blower, and i loved it for that! It was the first game where i had to use more keys than just left, right, up, down, shift, cntr. Wow, this game made me work out - but, boy, was it worth it! Put on some raving techno trance, and fly through mazes shooting weird ships and robots without knowing where up and down are! Sseeeet!
