    The idea is good, but the game is very limited. I only playied in the beta, but the atmosphere is insane, the fear is crazy. But they need to add new contents and good ways to play with friends, and in this way not to screw up the game with pay to win things.

    Graphics look great.
    Game play is easy to pick up.

To escape, the survivors need to repair five of seven randomly placed generators to open two big exit gates all the while making decisions about saving their teammates who get in trouble with the killer or using that time to repair a generator.

    It's mad fun, the graphics are gorgeous and smooth, and no two games will ever be exactly the same. You just never know what might happen in any given game and some of the games have extremely intense and exciting endings where living and dying all comes down to one vital decision and or move.

    Easy 9 out of 10, but one of the best and most fun games I've ever played in my life and I grew up as a gamer in the 1980s, playing thousands of games in my life! ..Well worth the money, don't miss this one people! It's got a steep learning curve, but once you get into it, it's soooo much crazy fun!    … Expand

    Dead by Daylight is not a horrible game, but the glitches at launch were terrible. Teleporting into walls, aimlessly floating around in a strange position when caught in traps, and bad texture pop-in. However, the rest of the game is not horrible, it is playable, and mostly enjoyable. And most of the glitches got patched by the developers.

    Dead by Daylight presents its uncommon multiplayer survival genre with a touch of thrill and horror. A lot of potential in this game and they are making use of some of that, but honestly, I feel like the game still falls short of great having a below expectation amount of content and surprisingly unimpressive visuals, despite Unreal Engine 4.

    This is the most adictive multiplayer game i've ever played. I can't just have a match pr two, every time i start playing i find myself spending 3-4 hours, switching between killer and survivor. Five years after it's release, the game it still fresh and fun to play.

    I believe the game overall is ok for killing some time, but i also think the game needs more features. Besides escaping from the serial killer maybe there could be another mechanic in the game that players can work together to achieve a different kind of victory by killing the serial killer in different ways on different levels.     Hope they add more stuff to the game, to make it better
    just they really need to fix a lot of the bugs in the game and add a lot game modes like survival mode or 24 humans vs 4 killers (I mean working with each other and trying to kill the humans would a good mode and if they do add more killers than they should add more humans and more killers) and remove some the perks    Great game!

    Anyway hope they make a huge update soon that can make this game even better.

    This game is fun really fun even when you play with random people. But it can get boring after a while and some of the monsters are op as hell. Overall i think this game is pretty good better than Friday the 13.

    Что сказать про dbd. Это выживалка главной целью которой надо убежать от маньяка, а за маньяка надо всех убить. Чтобы сбежать надо чинить генераторы, всего их 5. Процесс очень долгий поэтому можно в 4 чинить, но вам будет мешать еще маньяк и вам придеться как то убегать от него. Маньяк быстрее вас поэтому надо умудриться от него убежать, это очень трудно.     I really like the thrilling/horror atmosphere of the game and I often get adrenaline rushes. That's why I love the game. It's easy to meet new people to play with. Playing this game with friends is super fun.

    Un gran juego, adictivo, que te hace quemar mucha adrenalina tanto siendo el asesino como huyendo. Apenas tiene ya fallos, el soporte técnico cuando hay un fallo procura corregirlo lo antes posible. tengo jugadas día 8/9/17 550 horas. Así que sé de lo que hablo.

    This game is by far one of my favorites but needs a lot of work. All the goals the game is intended to hit are missed by a long shot. A lot of times the game feels way to unbalanced, and too inconsistent. Glitches and bugs happen ever so often. But the least to say, the game gives a great experience. If the Dev's were to work on this game a little more and fix ranking and playing system,This game is by far one of my favorites but needs a lot of work.     Dead By Daylight offers a scary theme is really creepy and suspenseful even with a friendly killer (killer who roleplays the match), in fact 2 of the games I had with a friendly killer were better than the random queues. Making it challenging however playing out a story, where only 2 of us survived after 53 compelling minutes of running, hiding, planning our next move and repairing the 2 remaining generators in order to achieve our freedom. The game itself is amazing though the development team could do a little more to enhance the experience for everyone. I really love the development team for sticking true to its roots and not implementing a loot crate system opting for a more traditional in-game currency and item buy menu, this allows for a completely fair and equal playing field when in game. The team even shows its love for other games and classic movies by adding cosmetic changes for characters if you own certain games or buy the DLC (Not Mandatory). Even the addition of Freddy Krueger was a nice nod to the original classic "A Nightmare on Elm Street" as well as the Leatherface skin available as a DLC. Dead By Daylight has a lot of unique and original killers as well which are very appealing and fun to play as, I personally would love to see movies or even shorts based on these characters maybe someday in the future. Sadly this game is far from perfect and though I enjoy this game so much it does lack variety... There are only 9 different areas known as Realms in the game which offer 22 map layouts across the Realms which tend to be slightly repetitive if you pay close attention. Also some killers do seem to have an advantage with their abilities and varying movement speed. Also with no voice chat it does make it difficult to coordinate with teamates though I am glad I don't have members of the toxic community screaming in my ear.

    Additions I would love to see implemented to the game is lobbies where you can join friends where you can set up custom game settings and create your ideal scary movie senerio, as well as have a friend or yourself lobby as the killer. Roleplaying has a huge community and I feel the game could benefit so much more if they did add such a feature.

    I recommend this game to anyone who meets the System Requirements, the development team really did make a gem and should keep up the outstanding work.

    It's amazing game! I like game idea, graphics look cool, movements etc. Community isn't that toxic, but not perfect eather. I recommend that game, it's the best game for fun with friends!

    I have read most of the bad reviews of this game and cant understand why this game got so low user score.

    Man people complain abort bugs and bad connections, that seems to be the biggest issue. This issue must have been fixed by the developer by the time I got it (januari 2018). In most of my games I only have to wait 1 sek to get a game, very rarely I wait mor than 30 sek. The only bugs I can think of is when I experience invisible walls, but you have to play 10 h to even bump in to one.

    Also another thing that people complain about is The balancing issue. Yes, there are some content in the game that make it unbalanced, but from my perspektivet It only makes the game more challenging.

    What I Also like is that there is NO way use chat och you mic to communicate whit other players unless you use teamspeek (like TWICH) whit you friends. This way you never have to listen to any angry and hysterical 13 year old.    … Expand

    Yes, this game is great but I recently got a MAC and I bought Dead By Daylight when I had my windows. But, I can't download it on my MAC because its for windows only. I would love if it could be for MAC as well please? If not that is fine.

    Es un juego con una gran idea que resulta ser divertido cuando empiezas a jugar. Pero una vez subes de nivel se siente desbalanceado. Las partidas se demoran mucho en empezar y esperar 5 minutos para empezar a jugar una partida de 10 minutos es desgastante y aburrido.

The game was very, VERY unbalanced at the time but, it was a lot more fun to play. Why you ask? Because at that time a shop with cosmetics didn't exist and devs weren't making this game competitive. Yes, you heard me right, BHVR is making DBD which started as a scary party game into a e-sports competitive show. Also they're prioritizing cosmetics over bug fixes and patches. Did you know that in DBD they're bugs and errors that didn't get fixed since launch? You kinda get the picture how the devs are treating this game.

    Another big problem with this game is the community. In every game you will find a player that will be bashing the opposite role in the post-game chat. It doesn't matter if they did good or played fair, salty killers/survivors will send you awful comments in almost every game.

    Now, let's talk about killers that where released lately. The most efficient way of escaping is a strategy called "looping". As the name suggests you're running around a certain tile that is randomly generated on the map in a certain way that makes it so you stay as far away from the killer as possible. So, know that we know what looping is lets go back to the new killers. Since 2020 almost every killer that was released was punishing you when you where trying to loop, so the only strategy to them is to stop mind-gaming and trying to loop, but to only run forward and drop every pallet early. This play style is very boring and un-fun for both sides. There is no mind-gaming and trying to trick the opponent, it's just holding "W". This is very unhealthy for the game as it removes the fun element of the game which was outsmarting the opponent. There is also no skill cap on the killers that have this play style which means that anybody can pick them up and in few games can start destroying teams in a matter of seconds. Oh, you have over 1,000 hrs as survivor? Don't care you get downed in 10-30 seconds. Oh, almost forgot about survivors. When you play against this type of killer the best strategy on the survivor side is to do generators as fast as possible since chases last around 10-30 seconds, maybe over a minute if you're really good or the killer is pretty bad. That play style is surprise, surprise extremely BORING. To repair a generator alone you need about 80 seconds (I think), imagine doing it 2 or 3 times. There is no skill involved which is a real spit in the face to the people that where putting hours and hours on survivor trying to get good.

    Now the devs are either releasing a really strong killer that has little to no counter play, or a really weak killer that nobody wants to play and is a laugh stock in the entire community.

    If you are thinking about maining this game I don't really recommend it. There are over 20 characters on the survivor and killer side, everybody has unique 3 perks. If you want to have all perks you will need to grind and grind and grind, through a very, VERY tedious and outdated leveling system. When you purchase the game you only get 7 survivor and 5 killers the rest is DLC :) You will have to spend a lot of money if you want to experience DBD fully. Also, don't buy it on the PS4, XBOX1 or Nintendo Switch, the game runs awful on last gens consoles and looks really AWFUL on the Nintendo Switch.    … Expand

    Dead by daylight is a really fun game to play and it never gets old. I've been playing the game almost right when it came out and I've been glued to it because of how fun and fresh it feels every time i come back to it because of a new chapter that came out. I've put in around 650 hours into the game which is nothing compared to some other big fans of the game.

The killer's goal is to eliminate all four survivors before they complete all the generators and escape, by hooking the survivors. The survivor's goal, is, well, I already stated it, lol.
    Games are always different, making it unpredictable due to the large variety of killers we have this year. We have a bunch of licenses, from Halloween to Silent Hill, and this year, we got Resident Evil in the game.
    I recommend you to give it a shot. Don't let the 234 negative reviews fool you, they're just people that had 1 bad game and are in desperate need to vent.    … Expand

    I have played this game for over 500 hours now during a 3-year period. I like this game. It is fun to play with friends however there are some vital parts of the game that doesn't work properly.
    The loading lobby is annoying, you have to make a new party for every game.

After coming from PS4 (around 250-300 hours), I eventually switched to pc to get better frames and make the game easier with keyboard and mouse. The game itself isn't all rainbows and sunshine, no, because of balancing issues and bad hit boxes, you usually sit there and rage your brains off. But the game is so goddamn addictive. In the game, you can play both killer and survivor, survivors has to do 5 generators, open exit gate and escape whilst avoiding killer. However, with the current fan base, many people will "run" the killer around, "looping" them and "teabagging" them, until they eventually rage quit or give up the chase. Killers has to prevent this, by catching up to survivors, making sure generators stay deactivated, and don't let the survivors escape. But right now, survivor seems to be the way to go if you want to have fun. The game has some pretty good lore, like really good, but isn't really told in game. The wiki has it all written down (recommend it), but the events of the game are told through Benedict Baker, who willingly went to the MacMillan Estate, got into the Entitys realm , and documents everything and everyone. When you die, you come back (hence the "Death is not an escape" slogan) and when a survivor gives up, they are sent into another realm called something I can't recall, we're they're left to float in "space". Controls feels natural, nothing new, nothing complicated, nothing special, it all feels like second nature to anyone who's been gaming for a while. The optimization is better than that of PAYDAY 2, two very connected games (sharing game exclusives, like buying "Deluxe" edition gives you 2 PAYDAY 2 masks). I currently have a Radeon R7 360 and a Athlon X4 860K, and 16 GB Ram, and I can run the game 30 fps no prob on Normal, and almost 50 on low. And finally, the horror aspect of the game. First 5-10 games for survivors will actually be pretty scary, but eventually, the horror aspect isn't there anymore, because your used to it all. So if your looking for a spooky game, that can actually scare you, skip, but if your looking for a game with a strong fan base with pretty frequent updates, go for it, it's only 20€ on steam currenty.     A very fun game worth playing. i really enjoy dead by daylight because when you play it with friends you get to experience an amazing time with them because it's all so fun. Even if you play it on your own you'll have a lot of fun as well. Once you start to understand how the game really works, you'll get addicted to it.

    I spent more than 1k hours on DBD and can surely say this game is worth the price, but it's still a lot of problems. Very often dev team instead of fixing existing issues going to create new. This disappoints almost every patch, but it seems like from the last of them, game gain almost the top performance from the birthday.

    6.6/10 of user reviews is not fair. The game is not perfect, but it is far from being an almost 6/10. I am giving a 9/10 'cause i have a lot of fun playing, even facing bugs or glitches (most of them very funny). The size of possibilites inside the game, both for survivors and killer, is huge, with many strategies to use, many perks and many mindgames for each map.

    So I have played this game for a few hours now and I must say... wow... Just wow. I've never seen a game be so fun but also be such trash at the same time.

    There are a multitude of issues with this game from balance issue on both survivor and killer side, such as crutch mechanics, broken killer abilities and addons. Same with perks on both sides.     There are a multitude of issues with this game from balance issue on both survivor and killer side, such as crutch mechanics, broken killer abilities and addons. Same with perks on both sides. Some are not expressly broken but are completely unfun to deal with.

    This game also has massive issues with hitboxes and server connections. The combination of the two will have you getting hit from china by the killer when you play survivor and missing grabs and hits as killer when playing against survivors.

    The community... The community for the most part is toxic af and myself am guilty of this. A lot of the toxicity in this game stems from the broken/unbalanced/straight up unfun aspects of this game.

    Other issues with this game include, poor optimization and ui design. The game does not run very well for a game that is not that graphically intense and from 2016 using the Unreal engine. Menus can be clunky and sometimes broken leading you to be kicked from your lobby just because you activate a challenge within the game. As I post this it's Dec. 15, 2019 and until about two months ago I could not run this game without massive stuttering issues unless I used a Nvidia driver that was almost a year old. I spent a lot of time looking into the issue and the best I could find from a rep from Behavior was that "it's windows 10's fault" But then about two months ago they updated their engine and now my issues is resolved... I still have an issues with crashes if I use the most recent drivers and try to play this game. My gpu is a 970, so if you have a 900 series card be cautious.
    Oh, bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. Every month and a half and two months the have a mid chapter update and a chapter update, and I can not recall an update where they did not break some aspect of the game. Some of the greatest hits include being hit through solid objects, broken sound, falling through the map, being put in a certain part of the map and losing control of your character, getting a black of grey screen, randomly losing the ability use your keyboard in game (could still use it in google and other applications and in the game only after the match had ended), and others I can not recall.

    Another thing I have a personal issues with is, the devs seem more interested in releasing cosmetics in their ingame shop than actually fixing the game. (If you like cosmetics, this game's got em in spades)

    The game 'can' be great fun if played with friends. Though played solo it can also be fun but I would not hedge you bets on that.

    At the end of the day, it's your money. If you want to try it out, go for it.    … Expand

    1000+ hours somehow i got, its a fun game 4 survivors evading / hiding while killer hunts them down, they recently added a battlepass to give u more objectives and extra cosmetics. best i can recommend is watch a gameplay video and decide for yourself

    This game wasn't all that great to begin with, but the latest changes to this game has made survivor completely unplayable. There is also so many cheaters playing, it's pathetic... The developers don't do a damn thing about the massive amount of cheaters either; they don't care. It's pretty much a cash grab.

    It encapsulates the vibe from 80's horror movies perfectly. The ambient is spooky with very dark tones and splatters of blood everywhere, the audio effects add to this and get your heart racing when you're trying to get away from the killer or hear a scream from across the map.

    Fun and unique gameplay. Can get your adrenaline pumping at times. Only reason it isn't a 10 is because of balance issues between survivors and killers.

    Addictive aysmetrical game that finally scratched that left 4 dead itch. Very fun playing both sides. Game can be quite grindy when you are new and game is quite buggy at times but very fun cat and mouse gameplay

    I love dbd. It’s boring in the beginning but once you get good it will be really fun. The problems are keys being completely broken and some bugs but all games have bugs so other than that I love it.

    DbD is a amazing game. you can choose game, for example you can play as survivor(your mission is repair all 5 generators and save your teamate and open exit gate and....ESCAPE), or you can play as killer(your mission is hitting and down all 4 survivor and sacrifice it in a hook)

    This game is constantly improving and being balanced. That being said, it still suffers from a lot of toxic players and quite a few bugs. With more time, more killers, more survivors, more mechanics and more patches this game could be perfect.

    I actually have about 4k hours in this game but god knows why. this is litterally the most imbalanced pvp in existence, it is so survivor sided you can litterally win by holding down one button on survivor.

It's bad. Really REALLY bad. It rivals the likes of DOTA 2 and LoL. People will harass and send you death threats regardless what you do in this game, on top of the racism and bigotry. On top of the amounts of expensive DLC and updates that always introduce game breaking bugs (that take weeks to fix) I cannot say I recommend anything unless you got thick enough skin (a.k.a: survive MW2 lobbies) to deal with the massive degeneracy that the developers have hosted and flat out refused to deal with.

    If you think Modern Warfare 2 was child's play when it comes to toxicity, then MAYBE you'll like this. It. Is. BAD. The only thing saving it from a flat-out bad review is the constant giving away of game currency and that its crossplay, so when it becomes free in some platform (because it somehow always is), then you can just play with friends. The toxic community can be ignored if you just dont read the chat. But even then, looking at it at an objective point of view, this can make it hard to enjoy for normal people, and this rating reflects it.

    One last thing to touch out on is the developers are hit and miss. Sometimes they can too be condescending pricks, or just be flat out incapable in putting out an update (more often times than not in this case). Overall: Game is fun as long as you have friends to play with you. Community is trash, developers are sometimes trash, and updates can break stuff that takes the devs a few weeks to fix or not at all, depends on how the developers are feeling that day. Look through all of that, and you have a good game on your hands. Thank God I got this free on Epic.    … Expand

Конечно главным и самым весомым плюсом для меня - это отсутствие аналогов и уникальные сотрудничества с крупными кинокомпаниями, что дает возможность им добавлять культовых маньяков из популярных фильмов 70-80х. На этом плюсы для меня заканчиваются. Переставать играть я конечно не собираюсь, т.к. писал ранее - аналогов нет! Мое мнение было сформировано за 755 часов.… Expand

    The gameplay is equally as bad and boring
    how does the gameplay go? well if your survivor sit on a gen for 6 years get chased hooked get unhooked immediately downed and hooked again and not saved because of awful teammates

    how about killer?
    Search the whole map back and fourth for 10 minutes straight find a survivor hit them but they are immediately healed back to full because of overpowered item addons chase them for another 10 minutes down them hook them and then every gen is done and all survivors escape

    Not very fun
    your wallets not gonna have much fun after this too
    because of this games horrible ass monetisation system
    what's that? you spent 25 dollars on this already overpriced game?
    spend another 1000 dollars on awful useless cosmetics that you cant even look at to appreciate

    На мой субъективный взгляд, игра была бы гораздо круче, если бы разработчики внесли хоть какое-то нововведение в игру. Один и тот же процесс быстро надоедает.

    I really used to enjoy the game until every update came out with a new add on or perk for the killer. It’s not fun anymore because the perks for killers don’t make sense. How can the killer see me, even though this game is a bit like hide and seek? Why give up my exact location to the killer when they have the advantage in most cases? Why don’t the survivors get a perk like heal yourself and run at the same time? Why can the killers get all these perks and finish games in seconds? Pick it up y’all because me and my friends that used to enjoy the game will end up just not playing anymore, and that applies to the entire community because we’re not the only ones fed up with these useless/ unfair updates.     I've spent almost a thousend hours on this game, and I still can't recommend it. The gameplay is fun and addictive. The graphics are good, with great music and sound design. However, the sheer amount of bugs, glitches and micro-transactions ruins it for me. At best, I'll recommend it on sale.

    Handlung:
    In Dead by Daylight spielt man entweder die Überlebenden oder den Jäger. Als Überlebender hat man die Aufgabe Generatoren zu reparieren um dem Jäger und seinen Fallen zu Entkommen.
    Spielt man den Jäger(viele bekannte Horrorcharaktere aus diversen Horrorfilme und Spiele) hat man die Aufgabe die Überlebenden zu finden und zu töten. Diverse Perks ändern das Spiel Runde für Runde.

    Gameplay(Maus und Tastatur):
    Das Gameplay läuft ohne Probleme und erklärt sich von selbst. Die Aufgaben sind immer die gleichen, jedoch gleichen die Vielfältigen Maps das wieder aus. Während man die Generatoren repariert bzw. Seine Mitspieler versucht zu heilen, muss man Skillchecks absolvieren. Vor jeder Runde kann man seine Perks an einem Skillbaum verbessern und diverse Items erhalten, die man sich mit in die Runde holen kann. Zum Beispiel ein Werkzeug- oder Erste-Hilfe-Kasten. Bugs sind mir noch keine aufgefallen, sodass man keine Probleme während des Spielens hat.

    Sound:
    Der Sound passt zum Spiel und vermittelt eine düstere und Horrorartige Stimmung. Die Geräusche der Generatoren, Items und Umgebungen passen sich sehr gut an.

    Grafik:
    Die Grafik passt zu einem Spiel von 2016. Die Umgebung, Animationen und Charaktere passen zusammen und stechen nicht einzeln heraus.

    Fazit:
    Ein schönes Multiplayer Horrorspiel für zwischendurch. Viele vielfältige Perks, Items und Charaktere machen jede Runde einzigartig. Soundtracks und die Düstere Grafik machen das Spiel noch besser. Updates und neue Charaktere tauchen regelmäßig auf. Wer genug Zeit mitbringt kann gerne einen 100% Run bestreiten.    … Expand

    Dead by Daylight on its own is a pretty fun game. I prefer playing as a killer, and there is a lot to it. A lot of different perks, add-ons to make your character fit your gameplay (the game goes obviously for survivors but I didn't feel it quite as well). I feel like the game is balanced pretty well, a killer is not some super strong entity that can just go around mindlessly killingDead by Daylight on its own is a pretty fun game. I prefer playing as a killer, and there is a lot to it. A lot of different perks, add-ons to make your character fit your gameplay (the game goes obviously for survivors but I didn't feel it quite as well). I feel like the game is balanced pretty well, a killer is not some super strong entity that can just go around mindlessly killing survivors, after each hit killer slows down giving a chance to escape, abilities have their drawbacks, some are hard to hit, some will leave killer in fatigue state, etc. Playing as a survivor tho feels like a hold button-down simulator. All activities (fixing generators, opening gates, healing) are just contests of holding down a button, for a very long time. There are skill checks to it, but you just have to press space at right time. But many things are wrong with this game. For starters, progression is very, very slow. To unlock a single character you would have to play for about 50 hours it feels like. In addition to that, there are playable characters that you can't unlock by in-game earned currency. You have to buy them, for real money. In a game that you already paid for. Skins are fine, because if you don't like them just don't buy them, but not to be able to play all characters? There is also a premium battle pass, which I found equally as dumb. The game encourages you to buy something from the store on almost every step. Another big issue is bugs/glitches. Once playing as a killer I just got disconnected for no reason, when my internet was working fine. The other time game glitched and I couldn't use the killer's ability or pick up survivors to hang them. This is a game-breaking bug. And just before I wrote this review I couldn't join the game, counted as me going AFK. This shouldn't be happening in a game that's 5 years old.… Expand

    The amount of bugs and awful mechanics make it a clunky somewhat enjoyable experience with friends but playing solo is a nightmare.

    Dead by Daylight is a missed opportunity. Despite an intriguing concept, the final result is flawed by a lot of small problems. You could still enjoy it, but in order to do so you should get over a terrible netcode, a grind-based progression system, and all too random rewards.

    Disastrous scoring system encourages some players to cooperate with the killer instead of running from him and reduces promising gameplay to nonsense (e.g. when the killer picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up...).
