    Die Statistiken am Ende werden nicht mehr von vorne gezeigt, wenn sie schon fast durchgelaufen sind, nur weil der Host die Lobby verlässt, genial!

    It's not a bad game, but that does not mean it is not bad game. I won't be the first or last to admit that this game broke me. It's unbalanced most times and there is definitely a concurrent problem with those who camp and or tunnel. You also have to work extremely hard or pay your way to any killers and or survivors you want to play as, and even then survivors are pretty much glorifiedIt's not a bad game, but that does not mean it is not bad game.     its a solid game. the game used to be riddled with infinites that completely ruined the game.

    However as of the latest patch the game is still heavily survivors favored. Survivors can abuse and ignore killer's perk Hex Ruined which slow down gens. all they have to do is spam M1 and completely made the perk useless. There are also loops in places where u can loop the killer for around    its a solid game. the game used to be riddled with infinites that completely ruined the game.

    they completely made trapper useless by not giving traps under hook, Hag is the worst killer in game. Nurse remains the best simply because she is the only killer that can deal with infinite loops. Unbalanced addons, some killers gets completely useless addons like the hag.

    Survivors flashlight are also insanely strong, combined with 4 SWF. BNP changes is nice but u dont need it when u have gen tapping vs Ruined. and double pellets in the same places are just plain bad. there should only be 1 pellet, which is way enough to buy time to waste the killers time. survivors are not scared in this game. u are encouraged to taunt/ bold actions which grants u more points

    the devs will never understand why the game is like this until they reach Rank 1 survivor and killer.

    There is a wealth of problems that Behaviour Interactive does not even bother to hide in Dead by Daylight, but the pure thrills of its gameplay can mostly compensate for all the troubles.

    I actually have about 4k hours in this game but god knows why. this is litterally the most imbalanced pvp in existence, it is so survivor sided you can litterally win by holding down one button on survivor.

    And don't even get me stared on the fact that SWF is in the games and you are allowed comms when the game is already stupid easy as a solo survivor.
    Honestly I would advise against this game as a killer player, but if you want to squad up be on comms and bully another person then grief the killer player when they don't follow your made up rules then this game is for you.    … Expand

    Dead by Daylight what can i say the game has potential but there needs to be some ironing out on some stuff before it can be considered anything higher than a 6.

    I've spent 52 hours in this game, and i must say, although i am not a rank 1 or a level 50, that this game needs improvement. I mean, MAJOR improvement. The game is still buggy at some point and you can't figure out which one has the most laggy connection (you may figure out killer's ping through an unconventional way). For the graphics, it needs a little bit more friendly with low-specI've spent 52 hours in this game, and i must say, although i am not a rank 1 or a level 50, that this game needs improvement.     I have played this game for over 500 hours now during a 3-year period. I like this game. It is fun to play with friends however there are some vital parts of the game that doesn't work properly.
    The loading lobby is annoying, you have to make a new party for every game.
    Sometimes the match does not load properly and you have to restart the game. People have a tendancy to disconnect if    I have played this game for over 500 hours now during a 3-year period.     A game with a fanatical fan base consisting of people playing nothing, but this game even though they absolute hate it. Balance has been improved over the years and was close to perfection before they added the boon mechanic.     I love and hate this game at the same time, it's alot of fun and other times, it's just broken and then throw in the toxic part of the community along with incompetent developers that ban the wrong people, I ran into a very toxic twitch streamer and he got me banned just because not liking me and he used his followers to do it. The game isn't bad, at all, it's actually really addicting and fun. So why not something like an 8-9? Well, there are a few reasons, the first one I wish to speak about is the community. A lot of the Survivor community is very toxic. There are toxic killers out there too, don't get me wrong, but the majority of toxic players are survivor mains, or at least act the most toxic when playing as survivor. To running the most toxic perks (DS, Dead Hard, Object of Obsession), to tea-bagging and flashlight click spam, or even straight-up disconnecting, they'll do their best to get under your skin and ruin the game for you. Why do they do this? Well, it's simple, the developers don't read the reports on them, and they don't give players an abandonment penalty for leaving a match, even though the matches are a part of a "ranked" system. Now granted, as of late I've had a lot of pleasant experiences with players, but a lot of toxic players are still out there, and until more aggressive action is taken about them, I must maintain my stance that the DbD Community is overall very toxic.

    Next let's speak about the developers, they could be a lot better at their job. This is the nice way of putting it. The developers actively DON'T focus on what the community needs most, goes out of their way to ignore suggestions and dance around questions and concerns. This is especially apparent from their recent Developer Stream on Twitch (6/18/2020). There were a lot of legitimate concerns about Pyramid Head's perks, and they completely danced around them and said "Oh we buffed them during the Test Server so we shouldn't need to buff them again" even though they are STILL terrible. They also released an atrocious map and have said nothing about fixing or making adjustments to it. The developers from what I've seen ever since the beginning of this game, only really care about selling their DLC and cosmetics, and not about the future and health of their game and community.

    So why the 6? After all of that, surely this game isn't worth your money. Well, it is and it isn't. I do not recommend DbD at full price, or any of its DLC at full price. Get it on sale on Steam, or play it with the Xbox Game Pass, or buy it from a key seller website. DbD has a lot of flaws, bugs, and those things I mentioned above, but the game is FUN. It's fun and addicting, and unfortunately, there aren't a lot of games like it on the market. Playing as a killer and vsing your friends, or just playing by yourself is a lot of fun, and surviving with friends is just as fun if not more. The game is solid for what it is, and it's really addicting and easy to spend a lot of time with it. It has it's problems, sure, but getting it on sale makes you feel a whole lot better about playing it. My only hope is the developers get their **** together and actually fix the issues plaguing their community.    … Expand

    I've spent almost a thousend hours on this game, and I still can't recommend it. The gameplay is fun and addictive. The graphics are good, with great music and sound design. However, the sheer amount of bugs, glitches and micro-transactions ruins it for me. At best, I'll recommend it on sale.

    Dead by Daylight on its own is a pretty fun game. I prefer playing as a killer, and there is a lot to it. A lot of different perks, add-ons to make your character fit your gameplay (the game goes obviously for survivors but I didn't feel it quite as well). I feel like the game is balanced pretty well, a killer is not some super strong entity that can just go around mindlessly killingDead by Daylight on its own is a pretty fun game. I prefer playing as a killer, and there is a lot to it. A lot of different perks, add-ons to make your character fit your gameplay (the game goes obviously for survivors but I didn't feel it quite as well). I feel like the game is balanced pretty well, a killer is not some super strong entity that can just go around mindlessly killing survivors, after each hit killer slows down giving a chance to escape, abilities have their drawbacks, some are hard to hit, some will leave killer in fatigue state, etc. Playing as a survivor tho feels like a hold button-down simulator. All activities (fixing generators, opening gates, healing) are just contests of holding down a button, for a very long time. There are skill checks to it, but you just have to press space at right time. But many things are wrong with this game. For starters, progression is very, very slow. To unlock a single character you would have to play for about 50 hours it feels like. In addition to that, there are playable characters that you can't unlock by in-game earned currency. You have to buy them, for real money. In a game that you already paid for. Skins are fine, because if you don't like them just don't buy them, but not to be able to play all characters? There is also a premium battle pass, which I found equally as dumb. The game encourages you to buy something from the store on almost every step. Another big issue is bugs/glitches. Once playing as a killer I just got disconnected for no reason, when my internet was working fine. The other time game glitched and I couldn't use the killer's ability or pick up survivors to hang them. This is a game-breaking bug. And just before I wrote this review I couldn't join the game, counted as me going AFK. This shouldn't be happening in a game that's 5 years old.… Expand

    It has an amazing atmosphere and concept, but the online ruins this game. I recommend you just play customs with your friends. The fact this game is 30$ but you only get 10% of the character roster also makes it not worth the money.

    Not really a horror game. However, the gameplay elements are interesting enough to keep me playing the game. The game is not balanced because of the variety of perks and powers that each side can have which may make for some seemingly unfair gameplay.

    The idea is good, but the game is very limited. I only playied in the beta, but the atmosphere is insane, the fear is crazy. But they need to add new contents and good ways to play with friends, and in this way not to screw up the game with pay to win things.

    This game isn't really good. It has a lot of strong things that make it enjoyable.
    However the lobby and matchmaking are really like a struggle, the real survival part is when you try to enter into a game.
    It has some bugs and some things that has to be fixed to let it achieve a sufficient score, i would say.
    The audio is amazing, the graphic is okay.

    I gave this one a try on a free weekend. I was not expecting much, but it failed to meet even the little expectations I have for it. You start the game as the killer or one of the survivors. As the killer, your goal is to hang survivors on the hooks and kill them. As the survivor, you try to fix some machines and escape. Gameplay loop gets repetitive pretty fast and even the iconic killers which are sold as DLC such as Leatherface, Freddy Krueger or Michael Myers cannot save it. It also doesn’t help much that the community is pretty toxic. There are much better multiplayer horror titles out there.

    Survivors complain killers are OP because they have insta-down power, can teleport/charge across the map, can camp, can know exactly where you are, have ruin/undying/tinkerer/pop (some of the bests perks of the game).

    Killer complains survivors are OP because they loop perfectly, makes you loop the same big building like 3 times in a row before you can even hit them once, makes you eat pallet in the face every 10 steps, and finally hook a survivor after 3-4 gens are done already. All 4 of the survivors have decisive strike which allow them to get off the killer's grasp, or borrowed time which allows them to be hit without being injured X seconds after being saved from a hook, so essentially just stalling for even more times just so you have to chase those survivors even more, wasting you so much time in one single chase while all 5 gens pops.

    I'm amazingly noob at this game, but I learned the meta by watching A LOT of killer/survivor streamers. I think the huge problem of this games are the perks. There is just too much now. A perk is essentially a passive, a power, you can equip. The thing is, this game allows the perk of one survivor/killer to be learned by other survivor/killers. Imagine how dumb it would be if in a moba, every single hero/champion/whatever could learn and use every single skill in the game? What would happen?

    Of course, EVERYBODY would uses the same 4-8 most powerful skill regardless of character (best stun, damage, healing, CC skills and who cares about the rest. It's really what's happening with DBD. Survivor and killer running almost always the same powerful perks because 3/4 of all the perks are completely useless or obsolete. It's really hilarious. A new killer/survivor appears with their own new perks, and then the same old perks are used on them anyway. It's really dumb. I also think it causes hell for behaviour to balance the game.

    The game has become unfun and repetitive. Get looped the same way every game, loop the killer the same way every game, use the same perks every game, cleanse the ruin/undying totem every game. I think behaviour needs to add new STUFF to do in the map beside throwing pallet on the killer and balance the game around it. It's never gonna happen. The game is 4 years old and too much people playing it still. Too much of a risk. Anyway, game's a real bore for me. I even got bored to hell watching the streamers.    … Expand

    If you think Modern Warfare 2 was child's play when it comes to toxicity, then MAYBE you'll like this. It. Is. BAD. The only thing saving it from a flat-out bad review is the constant giving away of game currency and that its crossplay, so when it becomes free in some platform (because it somehow always is), then you can just play with friends. The toxic community can be ignored if you just dont read the chat. But even then, looking at it at an objective point of view, this can make it hard to enjoy for normal people, and this rating reflects it.

    One last thing to touch out on is the developers are hit and miss. Sometimes they can too be condescending pricks, or just be flat out incapable in putting out an update (more often times than not in this case). Overall: Game is fun as long as you have friends to play with you. Community is trash, developers are sometimes trash, and updates can break stuff that takes the devs a few weeks to fix or not at all, depends on how the developers are feeling that day.     This game also has massive issues with hitboxes and server connections. The combination of the two will have you getting hit from china by the killer when you play survivor and missing grabs and hits as killer when playing against survivors.

    The community... The community for the most part is toxic af and myself am guilty of this. A lot of the toxicity in this game stems from the broken/unbalanced/straight up unfun aspects of this game.

    Other issues with this game include, poor optimization and ui design. The game does not run very well for a game that is not that graphically intense and from 2016 using the Unreal engine. Menus can be clunky and sometimes broken leading you to be kicked from your lobby just because you activate a challenge within the game. As I post this it's Dec. 15, 2019 and until about two months ago I could not run this game without massive stuttering issues unless I used a Nvidia driver that was almost a year old. I spent a lot of time looking into the issue and the best I could find from a rep from Behavior was that "it's windows 10's fault" But then about two months ago they updated their engine and now my issues is resolved... I still have an issues with crashes if I use the most recent drivers and try to play this game. My gpu is a 970, so if you have a 900 series card be cautious.
    Oh, bugs. Lots and lots of bugs. Every month and a half and two months the have a mid chapter update and a chapter update, and I can not recall an update where they did not break some aspect of the game. Some of the greatest hits include being hit through solid objects, broken sound, falling through the map, being put in a certain part of the map and losing control of your character, getting a black of grey screen, randomly losing the ability use your keyboard in game (could still use it in google and other applications and in the game only after the match had ended), and others I can not recall.

    Another thing I have a personal issues with is, the devs seem more interested in releasing cosmetics in their ingame shop than actually fixing the game. (If you like cosmetics, this game's got em in spades)

    The game 'can' be great fun if played with friends. Though played solo it can also be fun but I would not hedge you bets on that.

    If you don't act too stupid as a survivor, the killer has 0% chance against 4 good survivors. As soon as you become a killer, the survivors become very exhausting and very provocative. Provoke the killer all game long but don't get along if they lose and spit on you with poison and bile in the endgame chat.
    I no longer remember how many offensive comments I had to delete from my profile.
    In other games you get banned for such nasty behavior, but the devs look away every time, the main thing is that the DLCs and the micro transactions sell well!

    Pros:
    - good addiction factor
    - acceptable co-op game
    - good soundscape
    - Varied killers (i.e., against every killer, you have to do it differently)
    - Killer designs are awesome! (Survivors too, of course)
    - The game is always filled with fresh content (i.e. new killers, maps, survivors etc ...)
    that's it from the good side ...

    Contrasts:
    - Terrible map design
    - From a certain rank, the game is very frustrating for the killer (with me from rank 5)
    - Uninteresting gameplay for survivors (read, the survivors have only one goal and that would be to repair generators)
    - Lap lengths (I had laps that only ran 5 minutes because the repair speed from the generators is just too high.
    - The community (rarely seen such a toxic community)!
    - Matchmaking (after Rankreset you don't dare to play as a killer for 2 weeks, because then smurfs will run around everywhere.)
    - bugs, graphic errors, crashes etc ... etc ... etc ...
    - Perks too strong for survivors! (Of course there are also very strong perks for the killer but one shouldn't forget that it is 1v4!
    - badly balanced (once the survivors have a disadvantage and once the killers sometimes have a disadvantage, but in the end the killer has the most disadvantages, even though he is the power role)!

    DBD is not a bad game, but it is also not a good game. It is more in the middle area. There is no lack of creativity, but competent developers.
    Whoever wants to play the game should do it. You will have fun but for how long?
    Although I gave a thumbs down, I will still recommend the game, the DBD is not a bad game. If the Devs listened to a few experienced players who were playing the game from both sides, DBD would change for the better. But until then, DBD will only be a mediocre product on the market for in between!

    This game is sometimes so fun, but other times it can be so frustrating. If the survivors are really good playing as a killer is extremely annoying. On the other hand if one of your teammates is bad he can screw everyone else over. This game is awesome if everyone is similar skill levels. If not it can just be annoying.

Помимо починки генераторов, спасание сокомандников c крюков, лечении себя и их на реакцию все и заканчивается. Последнее, это подбор матча который долгий, около 2-3 минут, для игры с онлайном 80 тысяч+. Насчет комьюнити ничего не буду говорить, так как оно наверно везде токсично. Поэтому оценка 4,5(поскольку здесь выбрать можно только целые ставлю 5). Вообще ожидал более худшего зрелища чем оказалось, и если вы хотели найти альтернативу "Пятнице 13", моё мнение, обходите стороной эту игру.… Expand

Onde as condições estão 100% a favor do killer ou do sobreviventes, não existindo mais um meio termo.

    Comunidade:
    O jogo em um critério artístico, o jogo tem centenas de pessoas produzindo fanarts incríveis sobre o jogo, mas tirando os artistas dificilmente você vai encontrar alguém amigável neste jogo. Com uma comunidade que se torna cada vez mais competitiva e principalmente tóxica! Onde se você joga de killer e não consegue eliminar os 4 sobrevivente você tem sua DM invadida por pessoas te chamando de "noob" e "lixo" e quando você ganha você é chamado de trapaceiro. E isso é algo que desanima os main killer , não estou dizendo que não existe killers tóxicos, mas com certeza a maior parte da comunidade tóxica do jogo se encontra nos main survival.

    Dead by Daylight foi lançado em 2016 e desde então ele segue o mesmo estilo de jogo, onde até mesmo seus eventos mais atuais nada mais eram do que você já faz no jogo só que com um visual diferente e que a cada ano o jogo se torna mais mercenário. Eu lembro que nos primeiros eventos de ano novo chinês você podia juntar uma moeda específica durante as partidas e caso você elimina-se todos os sobreviventes ou fugi-se como sobrevivente, você mantinha esse ponto que futuramente podia ser usado para trocar por um cosmético do evento de sua escolha ,sem gastar um centavo se quer!    … Expand

    then activate the gates and escape…
    All the meanwhile trying not get caught and healing teammates that do get injured as you’re able to wiggle your way from the killer, and you’re able to help your teammates off of the hooks…
    Being a survivor is in no way fun at all though...
    You can hide in closets... push things in front of the killer as you try to run away...
    But for the most part youre just feeling your way around a dark map hoping you find something so you can leave…
    chases aren’t thrilling, theyre sluggish and cheap…
    And things are just as annoying for the killer…
    As the killer you run around the map trying to either zap or slash the players trying to survive..
    You can grab the hurt player, carry them to a hook and sacrifice them...
    Your goal is to sacrifice all 4 before they can escape…
    This really feels like a game of freeze tag…
    And players will constantly do the annoying playground tactics of run around a giant rock…
    or copping over a ledge over and over until you just get annoyed and crush it with your foot giving them time to run away...
    This definitely keeps the game feeling balanced…
    But it also keeps the game feeling annoying…
    especially the whole running around in circles but trying to get in a lucky swing…
    it is more satisfying to play as the killer though…
    Of catching someone who thinks they’re clever…
    And you’re given enhanced hearing so you can sense when a survivor is repairing a generator or just recently hid in a closet...
    These moments are enjoyable and almost make up for the overall dull experience that is dead by daylight…
    Almost...

    Example. You just started and you're rank 20 survivor, you're really going to like when the terrible matchmaking system puts your group up against a rank 10 or even a rank 1 killer...that is, after you've spent 5 minutes just trying to find a match.
    Now that you're in the game, you get to sneak around fixing generators and evading capture. But surprise! The match is HOSTED BY THE KILLER! Hope he has a good internet connection, because if he doesn't and you didn't type a bunch of stuff in chat to test his ping (that's the only way to do it so far, as a latency meter or even minimum requirements are not yet implemented to let you know that you can barely maintain a solid connection to the host who must be using some sort of Pre-Y2K internet provider.
    If you got in a game and the host has good ping, you are going to be in for a good time....unless you get stuck on one of the several terrain glitches which will make it impossible to move and out in the open to get helplessly murdered. If the killer is the Hillbilly, pray that he doesn't have his chain add-on which makes it impossible for others to heal you.
    Barring that, you just have to hope that you can stay alive long enough to either escape or be the last one left and get out through a hatch in the ground.
    You got out...good job, but you didn't do enough to get a pip to rank up and unfortunately escaping doesn't always equal a win. Better luck next time!

    Just to show that it's not all survivor based bugs, lets talk about being the killer. Not quite as bad a situation with the matchmaking. You start up a lobby and wait for people to join....what's this?! You're rank 20 and there's a rank 17 survivor (because Killers can see the survivors ranks and levels before starting a match), now your going to have to leave close the lobby and try to find a better group.
    Ok, all rank 20 survivors and nobody over level 10, this is going to be easy! Start game....things are going well so far, you've found some survivors fixing a generator and you've got one of them on the run. Looks like we're headed into some broken down silo...and he's through the window.

    Still chasing this guy around this broken down silo and everyone else has left the game and he just escaped through the hatch that always spawns right next to the silo. RAGE QUIT!
    Check out the discussion boards, because this can't be how the game is meant to be played....looks like this is an "infinite" and was even confirmed by the devs as an exploit.....but, if it's an exploit, why is it still in the game????

    There are a lot of problems with this game, but in all honestly, it is still a lot of fun to play. Before purchasing, check out the discussion forums on Steam to see for yourself the laundry list of things that are wrong. If you're not a patient person, you're not going to be happy with this purchase in its current state. If you have the patience and time to put into the game, eventually you will learn the maps and level up enough to start really enjoying the game for what it is....a good way to make people rage quit and an addictingly fun time!

    Currently, the best way to enjoy this game is by watching AngryPug play it on twitch....it's a riot to watch (dewdewdew!)    … Expand

Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the game. The optimization is bad. At first, I didn't have a problem, but by the seventh, eighth, and ninth game it's clear the game is not properly optimized and I'm running two MSI RX-480 video cards. The game is unbalanced. If you are a low level, whether killer or survivor, good luck. Survivor was boring; I remember playing one match as a survivor and I waited around for others to do work and walked out the door not lifting a finger other than escaping. Playing as a killer is the worse. The only one I got a KILL AFTER FIVE RANDOM GAMES was the witch and it took me three tries to kill the person on the meat hook. The only saving grace is the cost because the game is cheap. Unless you plan on playing with friends, you will not like the grind aspect of the game and how they use the microtransactions in the game **** up the flow. AGAIN, if you not playing with friends, pass on this. I will keep the game whenever I can convince my friend's to play.… Expand

    I once really enjoyed this game, however the most recent updates to the game have done nothing but ruined it. The atmosphere is no longer creepy, everything feels unrewarding, the leveling and ranking system is broken, and the cosmetics system is a huge, disappointing money-grab.

    This game is kinda boring, With random survivors, you will likely fail to escape the "Monster".
    The gameplay is boring in its self, the only good thing with the gameplay might be the jump scares when you get caught by the "Monster". But overall a boring game, and i would not recommend it for something to play in 2020.
    The game isn't fun. It's not the kind of game people enjoy playing.    This game is kinda boring, With random survivors, you will likely fail to escape the "Monster".
    The gameplay is boring in its self, the only good thing with the gameplay might be the jump scares when you get caught by the "Monster". But overall a boring game, and i would not recommend it for something to play in 2020.
    The game isn't fun. It's not the kind of game people enjoy playing. There are no unique modes. There are no modding or custom maps for the game, and all you do is to repair generators and get out.
    It's only popular because of its fancy marketing and deep lore and just capitalized on that CS GO type crowd that blames each other when a game has even the most obvious problems.

    Might be better but my teammates keep farming me and the killers keep camping me. Of course its not every case that this reality will come to affect you, its not every game you loose , and its not every game you win, but even playing with teamates the game tends to still be very hard for some players, even if theyre pros. for a killer otherwise, each one of them have a very especific and different way of persuing the survivors, different weapons, different attacks, abilitys and etc. But it gets even worse when we come to talk about the add-ons for killers, some of them can and will be really even more game changing for the killer, and will give a very big advantage to kill all 4 survivors, competitively that is a very hard scenario to counter for the 4 survivors, and even tho thats not the only problem, we also have a very out of sync system when the killer is chasing you and hitting you, causing you die because of some bug or something that was not supposed to happen, plus all the other bugs and problems with the ping in game where for the killer can be really powerful since theres nothing a survivor can do other then run, but wait, did i also tell you that survivors don't run as fast as the killer run? Thats right. I think theres alot of reasons for everyone to hate this game, and that is obvious, the only good thing i can think about dbd is playing a custom match with friends and using all the fun perks where you do as much as possible to make the killer angry, because thats the only thing you can do to "counter" the killer or gain up time for your teamates to be able to escape, In general its not a bad game, but competitively, its totally unbalenced, unsyncronized , bad hitboxes, alot of bugs that can and will get you killed in the middle of a chase… Expand

Sometimes I cranked the hours up but between these times I stopped playing for months. Nowadays I turn it on every one to two months and stop playing after one trial. sometimes after a half.     Another big problem is the monetization. The base game is fairly priced but when it comes to skins things are getting ridiculous. But you don't have to buy them and the devs have to pay the servers. But given how bad the servers are and how unscary this so called "horrorgame" is, it´s not worth it.
    Here comes a recommendation for you if you still want to try this game: Don't buy to many DLC's at once. At first, when you don't know which of them is worth it, you can end up buying a pretty low quality killer. Also you should focus on learning one or two killers. I can imagine thath DBD with it's actual size can be quite overwhelming for new players. But a big advantage of being new to the game is that you won't recognize the most of the games flaws.
    In the case of Dead by Daylight I think it's quite important to consider how the community is treated by the developers. Because it is a constantly evolving live service game the dev's are supposed to listen to the community. The sad reallity is that they neither listen to their fans nor are they receptive to critsism.     Despite the fact that the reviews of this game in Steam are "Positive", I still do not recommend playing this game.
    DBD just isn't fun. Rather, it takes time and gives almost nothing in return.
    There is no place for beginners, simply because it makes no sense.
    The players themselves are killing this game with their toxic behavior.

However, this is not either of those. This is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title.

    When you enable players to begin playing "for points," all elements of immersion are tossed out the window. Survivors are encouraged to do blatantly stupid things such as encourage killers to chase them, not as distractions serving to buy their friends more time but simply to farm the points. When something doesn't go their way, killers and survivors alike quit to avoid losing precious, precious rank.

    There is no replayability here. Once survivors learn "the tactics," the juke spots, how to exploit animations, how to exploit mechanics, and most importantly, that nothing but the sweet points matter, there will be no game. There will be no engagement, no variation and no fun.

    The only attraction this game has is to frighten Youtubers and have a laughing good time with a small group of friends, and then discard it immediately.

    If that were not enough, this game is a buggy, unplayable mess.

    There are good ideas here. The overall theme of the game, that of an asymmetrical multiplayer horror title, is interesting. Some of the mechanics presented are unique, and on the surface, they work. However, if you go anywhere deeper into this game, more than just a game or two with friends, you will run into countless bugs including, but not limited to:

    *Perks that do not work. Some perks are simply nonfunctional. There has been a patch to address nonfunctioning perks, but it has not fixed all of them.

    *Latency issues causing warping/teleporting survivors - this appears to be because the killer is the host in all situations, regardless of who has the best internet connection. This also allows the killer to DC and take the game, and everyone's points, with them.

    *If survivors are knocked down near other things that require the interaction key to be pressed (default Spacebar), such as being knocked down next to a window that you can vault over, the survivor can become uninteractable, preventing the killer from picking them up to go sacrifice them, or friends from being able to help them back up.

    *Problems with hacking and exploiting are abundant. The game stores everything locally, and as a result it is possible for players to compromise the game using tricks or malicious tools or editing software that grants them anything from experience points (called blood points in-game) to invincibility, invisibility, super speed, infinite limited-use items, and worse.

    *There are a million, million clipping issues, places to get hung up on or stuck on terrain, animation errors, hit box errors, and issues such as "If someone disconnects while the killer is carrying them, the killer's game will freeze." You can also become stuck in the geometry with no way out.

    *Various problems with the ranked system. Currently the game is plagued by disconnects and ragequitters who will pull the plug because disconnecting does NOT cause you to lose ranks, only your accumulated points. Disconnecting is completely safe because you do not lose any rank rating AT ALL for disconnecting.

    *Balancing issues abound. Currently, survivors are able to "cheese" the killer by using window ledges or pallets that they can jump over indefinitely, while killers traverse much slower. Survivors are able to hop over windows infinitely, kiting killers with no recourse (such as the hillbilly and wraith, both of whom have no effective counterplay to window hopping).

    *An absolutely terrible progression system that rewards you with RANDOM upgrades that you purchase with points earned in every match, which encourages people to farm points. This sometimes leads to survivors purposefully baiting killers, or killiers repeatedly spamming abilities (such as the wraith's invisibility) just to earn points. If you don't get ENOUGH points in a match, regardless of whether you escape or everyone dies, you lost rank.

    *A terrible ranking system based on the points you earn, which can be impeded in a number of ways, as described above. If a survivor ragequits because a killer grabbed them early, the killer gets NO points and may even lose ranking!

    The gameplay is a fairly novel idea, which explains one of the points I gave the game. One player is the Killer, one of now-four, each with a unique special ability. The Killer must locate and kill the four Survivors they're made to host, with the advantages of superior footspeed and constant knowledge of the location of generators, the Survivors' objectives. Survivors must repair generators, open escape doors, and leave.

    Here's where the mess begins. Killers can only kill via the sacrificial hooks scattered around the level. In order to secure a kill, they must hit someone twice without them being healed in the interim, haul them over to an available hook, put them on it, and then either repeat the process two more times or prevent any other Survivor from coming near them for two minutes. Survivors can unhook each other, and apparently meat hooks through the intestines require no delicacy in removing, because doing so takes a fraction of a second and isn't interrupted if the hooked Survivor is struck instead of the unhooker by a misfortune of hitboxes. This is why some Killers take to their most reviled behaviour: Facecamping. Rather than attempt to play the game, some Killers will hover in front of their victims to ensure they generate the pitiful trickle of "BloodPoints" all life in the game revolves around. This is indescribably boring for both parties involved.

    Survivors can also destroy hooks, either with an item or with a unique slotted ability, which as one might predict, can lead to the Killer being completely impotent. Killers do have four indestructible hooks in their basements, but two problems arise there:
    -Maps are quasi-randomly generated, meaning the basement can easily be too far away from where anything is happening.
    -A Killer Perk which extends the time for which Survivors may be carried is near-mandatory, which also pisses off Survivors.

    Why can't a Killer -by name- actually kill people? Oh, they can. You just need to obtain and consume a single-use rare item which puts a stipulation on which person you may kill and is lost regardless of if it's used.

    While these and the generally shallow gameplay of Killer might be enough to make someone abandon the role alone, another fun factor is the terrible community. Toxic and entitled, countless players will go out of their way to antagonize Killers (since Survivors are better at this than Killers are), or even sabotage their teammates for more income. The miserible natures of these players are only supplmented by the developers' apparent inability to remove what are called "infinites;" areas where Survivors can make use of windows or terrain to be literally impossible for a Killer to catch, failing an error.

    Killers only need to be 20% of the population, and still Survivor queues are massive because the devs can't even make that many people enjoy the position.

    Perhaps the game would be less of a misery pit were it not constantly demanding the aformentioned BloodPoints (or BP). If you're a new player, collect a few hundred thousand (many hours fo gameplay, inflated further due to lack of game knowledge) before you can use a second Perk (up to 4) against all of your opponents, who likely have the complete meta build due to the complete absence of matchmaking. If you're a competitive player, enjoy agonizing over the meaningless presence of rankings in this asymmetrical, RNG-based game, and then feel the biases the arbitrary "pip" requirements of BP to earn in a match instill in the community. Thankfully, there is no reward for being a higher rank, or the community could find a way to be even more salty and miserible.

    The actual "shop" system is also RNG, and also an atrocity, but I'm running short on space. Suffice it to say that players must make many worthless purchases, even of items they outright don't want, can't share items between compatable characters, and are fundamentally locked into progressing a single character at a time as a result. Thankfully for Survivors, all this means is that it's more of a pain to get the Perks they want, because Survivors have nothing unique about them intrinsically.

    If you've even considered getting Dead by Daylight, get Friday the 13th, or Last Year, or nothing, or just wait. Just don't buy this.    … Expand

    hundreds of thousands people bought this game and dlc's but they won't afford a server, the matchmaking is screwed it disconnects often and if the player who hosts the game has a bad ping....its unplayable and you just lose....

    Why is the balancing bad? To put it simple, there are exploits for both survivors and killer that throttle any enjoyment one may get from playing this game. Survivors will use exploits like 'infinite looping' in levels mixed in with 'pallet looping' so the killer can never catch them. That and SWF, a feature that lets 4 friends play together, often destroy killer players because of how over powered it is. Players on mic can always tell each other where the killer is on the map and coordinate accordingly, ruining any surprise elements the game has to offer. This feature is gamebreaking, but the devs still allow it.

    On the killer side of things, killers use an exploit called 'hook camping.' With how broken the game is, there really isn't much incentive to actually play it correctly. Which is to chase survivors. What killers will do is hook someone and just stand in front of them, which is also known as 'face camping.' 7/10 games I play these days consist of these kinds of players. There's also another exploit where killers can put players in what's called a 'basement' then use a perk that allows them to camp even harder. Survivors will try to play the game normally, which is saving each other, only to get killed trying to save the person being hook camped. Making an easy win for the killer. Until this day the devs acknowledge this as a legitimate strategy and won't fix it. This feature is gamebreaking, but the devs still allow it.

    Killers camp and as a result players try to infinite loop the killers so they don't get caught. It's a vicious cycle that has gotten out of control lately. Most games just come out to who can be the most toxic/trolly towards each other. With survivors teabagging and killers taunting each other. The whole horror element is stripped and the fun is just not there anymore.

    When I first started playing Dead by Daylight, it was fun. As I grew in skill and rank "I'm both rank 1 for survivor and killer" the toxicity only got worse. These days it's hard to find enjoyment playing this game and again the glitches make the whole experience that much more painful. I really wanted this game to succeed at one point, but with the way things are it's not going to. Things have gotten too out of hand at this point and the devs won't do anything about it. Of course they have no problem releasing purchasable cosmetics through the in game store though. I think the devs pretty much know this game is a sinking ship at this point and are just trying to get cash out of it with as minimal effort to actually fixing it as possible.     Fredy: this is one of the most broken of all, it can be teleported directly to the engines, you do not have to run or do chases, it can also put fake palees and slow down and has the strongest hitbox in the game.
    Hitbox: (hit with more distance from the game).

    Besides that the assassins can camper and tunnel you or leave you on the ground without receiving any punishment, they can play in the most toxic way and nothing will happen to them, but the survivors punish them for everything.

Купив эту игру, играя на низких рангах, я играл за выживших, за мана, ничего не предвещало беды, как только я поднялся чуть выше, я не смог устоять от этой игры, как только ты идешь играть за мана на средних - высоких рангах, у тебя начинает гореть 5-я точка. Для начало ты заспавнишь, и стоявших перед тобой сурв немного попресидает, чтобы ты напрягся, не забывая при этом проходить пару кругов на одном месте вместе с тобой, наконец ты дал ему хит, при том что осталось 2 гена, наносишь ему последний удар, поднимаешься и..... Нет, ты не ведёшь его к крюку, либо твое лицо засветит фонарик его тиммейта, либо он заюзает перк "осколок" и убежит на край карты, пока ты будешь оглушен 5 секунд, при таком раскладе ты автоматом проигрываешь. Допустим мы игнорируем мансера и идём по генераторам, но все равно тот мансер даёт о себе знать, безнаказанно чиня генераторы за твоей спиной. При таких действиях очень сложно, но всё-таки возможно выйграть, но это только при условии того, что против тебя будут играть соло игроки. Если же ты играешь против целой команды, у тебя нет и шанса на победу, у КАЖДОГО из тимы есть 4 имба перка, которые позволяют безболезненно принимать на себя удар, бессмертие на какой то промежуток времени, тот самый осколок, который не даст повесить тебе сурва и рывок, с помощью которого ты ещё проходишь пару кругов. Но это ещё не всё, так как они играют в тиме, они будут знать о КАЖДОМ твоём шаге, и ты просто не сможешь ничего сделать, они хилят друг друга за мгновения, могут лечить себя мгновенно с помощью перка, светить тебе в лицо, чтобы ты был оглушен и окончательно пригорел. В конце конечно все сопровождается каплей токсичности. ВСЕ ЭТО НА СРЕДНИХ РАНГАХ, мне страшно представить, что будет дальше. Хах, ты только что узнал что маны бесполезны, да? ТАК купи парочку длс по 180 рублей, чтобы продвинуться чуть дальше и снова сгореть. Многие считают что маны имба, стоя перед крюком, но дело тут в рангах, пока маньяк будет сидеть 2 минуты, до тех пор пока сурва не заберёт сущность, другие игроки уже давно заведут все генераторы и выйграют катку. Игра совершенно несбалансированна, а разработчики положили на нее болт, добавляя скины для фанатов "побегушек", по другому это не назвать. Вместо пряток и интересной игры, образовалась игра "собачка" где собака - это Ман, а те кто кидают мяч - сурвы. Пойдет только для игр с друзьями, не более.… Expand

    Something instantly didnt feel right when playing this game: i think its the movement and the action speed. I still gave it a chance but i felt so overwhelmed with all the unlocks / perks the slugish unlock pace etc. Maybe there is a good game hidden beneath but its not for me.

Public queues are a flaming pile of rotten horse manure. Frustration is the only thing you're guaranteed to experience if you play this with randoms.

    Custom Matches, on the other hand, are a breath of fresh air. The pressure to progress is lifted. Every perk and item is unlocked for everyone. The toxic community who taunt your every move and spam racial slurs in post-game chat on an hourly basis is locked out. The MTX suddenly seems a lot more reasonable now it's not associated with hundreds of hours of grinding per purchase. The action suddenly becomes fun! You and your friends will probably have a pretty good time if you spend a few hours together in voice chat, laughing and joking and just enjoying yourselves without the pressure to progress dogging your every move.

    Which just goes to underline how completely the developers have mismanaged the public queues and progression systems. Never pay full price for this, and make sure you know people who have it because you don't ever EVER want to hit that "Ready" button with strangers.    … Expand

On the killer's side, you are at the mercy of a poor matchmaking system and the restrictions of archaic game mechanics which haven't changed in your favor. You'll feel like a little kid who is told to play a game of hide & seek and is quickly abandoned.

    Up until now, I've unlocked every character, perk, and achievement in the game. I know the mechanics well enough to know that they're broken.

As a killer I feel like you have a good chance to “win”(I consider killing at least 2 people good) if you know your characters strengths. Also there are some very OP killers and it seems like the devs only try to make every killer more busted than the last. The ranking system is a joke for multiple reasons but the biggest is farming. Killers control the game so if they wanna farm then everyone is ranking up. The DC temporary ban has given the killer more control and some even take the game hostage by letting the same survivor wiggle off their shoulder and they will just keep downing them...This game used to be very fun but lately it’s a mess. Basically if you want to have fun don’t care about winning, just troll and you’ll have a great time. Also devs have **** on survivors items all the while killer add one have only gotten more busted. I play survivor more bc I like playing with friends. But nowadays we only play to give the killer a hard time not even care about winning. My message to devs is: BALANCE YOUR GAME! Но вернемся к перкам, например такой перк как " ВИДЕТЬ АУРУ ГЕНЕРАТОРА ЕСЛИ ЕГО РЕМОНТИРУЮТ ДВОЕ ВЫЖИВШИХ И БОЛЕЕ" - ГЕНИАЛЬНО НЕ ПРАВДА ЛИ И ХРЕН ТЫ УЗНАЕШЬ ОБ ЭТОМ ПЕРКЕ ПОКА НЕ ЗАКОНЧИТСЯ МАТЧ И ТЕМ БОЛЕЕ ЕСЛИ ТЫ ТОЛЬКО НАЧАЛ ИГРАТЬ И НЕ ПОЗНАЛ ВСЕГО ГОВНА КОТОРОГО ТУДА НАПИХАЛИ, А ЕГО ТАМ ДО ХЕРА.
    2. Касается того о чем написал человек ниже на мой предыдущий обзор по этой игре МЕХАНИКИ описание которых вы не найдете в игре, кроме не многочисленных основных подсказок во время загрузки, а лазить по гуглу и форумам, что бы понять как играть мне нахрен не уперлось.
    3.Описание перков в игре. НУ ЭТО ПРОСТО ПИ333ДЕЦ! Что вы понимаете под "ПОВЫШАЕТ УМЕРЕННО УДАЧУ" или "НЕМНОГО СГУЩАЕТ ТЕМНЫЙ ТУМАН" может у меня слишком хороший компьютер, но я не видел в игре ни кого тумана, при этом эта херь есть как у выжившего, так и у маньяка. а интрополяция количественной единицы "УМЕРЕННО" или "НЕМНОГО" вообще хер поймешь на сколько.
    4.Маньяки в максимальной прокачке просто имба и вы это не узнаете пока матч не закончится, а выжившие бичи, у которых в арсенале перки на чтение ауры различных вариаций и починка тех же генераторов.
    6.Ну и последнее, эту игру не обошел такой бич как читы и в сочетании с гемплеем, и перками хер когда ты поймешь, читер человек, или у него имбовые перки, так как риплеев нет, наблюдения за маньяком нет, защиты от читов нет.    … Expand

Survivors are very weak in the game, they have no qualifications and this disrupts the course of the game again.

    Cheating, cheating and more cheating. Oh, and exploiting and stupid mechanics. You're survivor but when you run you leave a bright fire trail lel. Don't waste your time and nerves on this POS.

    Game would probably be amazing if they had bothered to do any optimization at all. The graphics settings are preset, so literally the only thing you can do to optimize it yourself is choose 'Low, Med, High, Ultra', but even on the lowest settings a decent rig will struggle.     Dead by Daylight is a missed opportunity. Despite an intriguing concept, the final result is flawed by a lot of small problems. You could still enjoy it, but in order to do so you should get over a terrible netcode, a grind-based progression system, and all too random rewards.

    Disastrous scoring system encourages some players to cooperate with the killer instead of running from him and reduces promising gameplay to nonsense (e.g. when the killer picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up...).
