    Unbalanced, full of bugs! As a solo survivor you have no chance of getting higher rankings due to the many retarded players! 80% of killers are camper, which is fully accepted by the developers (congratulations, dear developers!) It doesn't matter that the other player hates the game from a lot of camper killers and therefore a    Not recommended! This is a game of a joke, a bad joke!

    And if you play a killer then you won't have much chance against swf because they are constantly communicating with each other so they can completely ruin the killer's gameing!

    But most importantly, new skins are coming, which of course you can buy for money! Instead of releasing new content or fixing that many bugs!

    Hitbox is very fantastic in this game!

    his game still feels like the beta, there are bugs, balance issues, matchmaking issues just issues all round really
    cheating and more cheating. Oh, and exploiting and stupid mechanics. You're survivor but when you run you leave a bright fire trail lel.

    This is a horrible grinding game where the developers expect you to play 500+ hours to unlock all the NECESSARY perks to finally enjoy playing without being at an unfair disadvantage against nolifers.

Not to mention, the new asylum map? It doesn't even look like an asylum, it's just the same map as always with one small two floored shack in the middle of it? Also don't even get me started with the two ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥tFun for one week. The one main source of getting away from the killers while being seen instead of hiding is putting down the wooden door shields, and the nurse can ♥♥♥♥ing go through them? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Seriously make some new maps, re do the killers and get your ♥♥♥♥ together with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t ready up issues. I mean, how hard is it to code an auto ready up script? It feels like I am playing ready up simulator. Get your ♥♥♥♥ together or seriously consider drinking bleach...

    Let me start by saying this game is a great idea and has lots of great potential. But the devs have their heads so far up their asses they won’t fix exploits or balance their game. They need to have a Kindred as a passive perk to discourage this behavior or give a dumbed down version of Borrowed Time. As a killer I feel like you have a good chance to “win”(I consider killing at least 2 people good) if you know your characters strengths. Also there are some very OP killers and it seems like the devs only try to make every killer more busted than the last. The ranking system is a joke for multiple reasons but the biggest is farming. Killers control the game so if they wanna farm then everyone is ranking up. The DC temporary ban has given the killer more control and some even take the game hostage by letting the same survivor wiggle off their shoulder and they will just keep downing them...This game used to be very fun but lately it’s a mess. Basically if you want to have fun don’t care about winning, just troll and you’ll have a great time. Also devs have **** on survivors items all the while killer add one have only gotten more busted. I play survivor more bc I like playing with friends. But nowadays we only play to give the killer a hard time not even care about winning. My message to devs is: BALANCE YOUR GAME!     The game is just filled to the brim with killers who either camp or tunnel. Both behaviours are just bad and take the whole fun out of the game. As long, as such behaviour does not get punished, the game is not worth to be played.

    the game was fun at first, but has become horribly obsolete in a hunters eyes...
    being a survivor it was like wow ez pee z...with one perk also...
    literally the game needs real balancing in game and level matchmaking...
    the competitive of the game lacks everything now...
    sorry to admit it but the roles has switched in this game..a horror for the hunter..also lacks content...repetitive stages...fog has increased to immensely foggy...no speed up death when hitting or chainsawing your victims is odd especially since they are just hanging there...they really should just add a smart ai since I feel it really is survivor based now since hunters always kept getting nerfed...and so long Dead by Daylight...forever...    … Expand

    hundreds of thousands people bought this game and dlc's but they won't afford a server, the matchmaking is screwed it disconnects often and if the player who hosts the game has a bad ping....its unplayable and you just lose....

    I agree with localhost. I have played this game for 10 hours and the game is not enjoyable. It is unplayable as a low level character and after 10 hours of play I was negligibly closer to not being a low level character. The game if FAR too biased toward the killer. So much so that I never found the "horror" game horrific or even scary. I was always killed so quickly that I never gotI agree with localhost. Its laggy, locations are boring, not enough characters, and matchmaking doesn't work at all.     Basically... there are cosmetic and animation differences between the DLC"s and that's basically it. The game does not change. It's the same game. Sure you go into different environments but you do not do anything different. Regardless of the DLC. The game seems fun at first but wears out fast. Other "problem" most 0 ratings have is camping/tunneling. This is not games fault, it is the player who decided to do so. The game is very different from others now popular multiplayer titles like League of Legends and you need to put the time in and learn the mechanics and only than review it and not saying after 10 hours killers are OP only because you didn't learn to play it PROPERLY. But yes DBD has some issues, mostly consisting of hit scan and unfair map design. In defense of developers past few months they are working to fix those problems with quite good results. Overall if you have group of friends to play with and you learn how the game works it's fun experience with high skill ceiling so it may hook you in for hundreds potentially thousands of hours.… Expand

I didn't have a good time, because the game is not fun. Playing this game is a true test of patience. Each patch introduces worse and worse bugs, and killers get virtually zero love from the devs. There haven't been any interesting or useful perks for killers for the last three patches. There have been zero attempts to solve a very prominent (albeit complex) issue regarding survive with friends. The game is no balance. Survivors got a lot of fun perks in the new patch and killers got nothing. Because the devs know the player base is 80% survivor (actual stat btw). It doesn't seem like the dedicate any thought into how to make killer less grating because it's a statistically small portion of their player base even though there wouldn't even be a game without killer players. One of the most toxic communities I've ever seen.… Expand

They should just reset all ranks to 20 and have people play for it to balance out. Takes a long time to find a match up to 30 minutes at times depending on where you live. They use to have free events but removed it for a paid season pass. Game is turning to the bring players in and make them spend money before they get tired of it type of game.
    For game play, it's always fun playing survivor now. Once you get use to being chased by the killer you get use to the heart beats for when they get closer. You might get mad if the killer hits you because server lag made you lag backwards. But the game has new bugs with every patch update. But playing with friends is what makes it fun and unfair for the killer. For the killers game play can be stressful depending on everyone's connection. They tend to dodge your swings with ease and you have to out play 4 people to win the game. Graphics are very amazing, and you have to see Moo Moo the cow on a hospital bed.     The game isn't fun. It's not the kind of game people enjoy playing. There are no unique modes. There are no modding or custom maps for the game, and all you do is to repair generators and get out.
    It's only popular because of its fancy marketing and deep lore and just capitalized on that CS GO type crowd that blames each other when a game has even the most obvious problems.

    Devs don't understand how to balance and don't understand how to address bugs. Game is hardly playable at 4k. For years now the company refused to fix a DPI scaling issue. It makes it very difficult to target items/things in game.

Matchmaking is also very bad and you'll be waiting up to 30 minutes to get into a match. The only way you can kill people is hanging them on a hook so don't think you can hack and slash a person to death.     Very boring and is somewhat fun it's no element of surprise graphics are bad and it feels like a rushed version of something that could've been way more fun and I believe it tried to rush out from the Friday the 13th that's why the game has some bugs and just doesn't feel the best especially the graphics.

    You should be able to unlock characters. Through progression when you have more DLC characters than og characters that's a huge red flag.

The game was very, VERY unbalanced at the time but, it was a lot more fun to play. Why you ask? Because at that time a shop with cosmetics didn't exist and devs weren't making this game competitive. Yes, you heard me right, BHVR is making DBD which started as a scary party game into a e-sports competitive show. Also they're prioritizing cosmetics over bug fixes and patches. Did you know that in DBD they're bugs and errors that didn't get fixed since launch? You kinda get the picture how the devs are treating this game.

    Another big problem with this game is the community. In every game you will find a player that will be bashing the opposite role in the post-game chat. It doesn't matter if they did good or played fair, salty killers/survivors will send you awful comments in almost every game.

    Now, let's talk about killers that where released lately. The most efficient way of escaping is a strategy called "looping". As the name suggests you're running around a certain tile that is randomly generated on the map in a certain way that makes it so you stay as far away from the killer as possible. So, know that we know what looping is lets go back to the new killers. Since 2020 almost every killer that was released was punishing you when you where trying to loop, so the only strategy to them is to stop mind-gaming and trying to loop, but to only run forward and drop every pallet early. This play style is very boring and un-fun for both sides. There is no mind-gaming and trying to trick the opponent, it's just holding "W". This is very unhealthy for the game as it removes the fun element of the game which was outsmarting the opponent. There is also no skill cap on the killers that have this play style which means that anybody can pick them up and in few games can start destroying teams in a matter of seconds. Oh, you have over 1,000 hrs as survivor? Don't care you get downed in 10-30 seconds. Oh, almost forgot about survivors. When you play against this type of killer the best strategy on the survivor side is to do generators as fast as possible since chases last around 10-30 seconds, maybe over a minute if you're really good or the killer is pretty bad. That play style is surprise, surprise extremely BORING. To repair a generator alone you need about 80 seconds (I think), imagine doing it 2 or 3 times. There is no skill involved which is a real spit in the face to the people that where putting hours and hours on survivor trying to get good.

    Now the devs are either releasing a really strong killer that has little to no counter play, or a really weak killer that nobody wants to play and is a laugh stock in the entire community.

    If you are thinking about maining this game I don't really recommend it. There are over 20 characters on the survivor and killer side, everybody has unique 3 perks. If you want to have all perks you will need to grind and grind and grind, through a very, VERY tedious and outdated leveling system. When you purchase the game you only get 7 survivor and 5 killers the rest is DLC :) You will have to spend a lot of money if you want to experience DBD fully. Also, don't buy it on the PS4, XBOX1 or Nintendo Switch, the game runs awful on last gens consoles and looks really AWFUL on the Nintendo Switch.    … Expand

The developers don't do a damn thing about the massive amount of cheaters either; they don't care. It's pretty much a cash grab.

    how does the gameplay go? well if your survivor sit on a gen for 6 years get chased hooked get unhooked immediately downed and hooked again and not saved because of awful teammates

    how about killer?
    Search the whole map back and fourth for 10 minutes straight find a survivor hit them but they are immediately healed back to full because of overpowered item addons chase them for another 10 minutes down them hook them and then every gen is done and all survivors escape

    The disconnected from host is really retarded wtf every time i get disconnected i check my wifi speed and running at 47mbps and tried contacting support and did all the troubleshooting they recommended and none of it worked now im banned for 24 hours even though i'm not intentionally disconnecting and trying to ruin the game.

Sometimes I cranked the hours up but between these times I stopped playing for months. Nowadays I turn it on every one to two months and stop playing after one trial. sometimes after a half. The game became an unfunny and buggy mess. All my friends who play this game are constantly permanently complaining. It's kinda annoying.
    Another big problem is the monetization. The base game is fairly priced but when it comes to skins things are getting ridiculous. But you don't have to buy them and the devs have to pay the servers. But given how bad the servers are and how unscary this so called "horrorgame" is, it´s not worth it.
    Here comes a recommendation for you if you still want to try this game: Don't buy to many DLC's at once. At first, when you don't know which of them is worth it, you can end up buying a pretty low quality killer. Also you should focus on learning one or two killers. I can imagine thath DBD with it's actual size can be quite overwhelming for new players. But a big advantage of being new to the game is that you won't recognize the most of the games flaws.
    In the case of Dead by Daylight I think it's quite important to consider how the community is treated by the developers. Because it is a constantly evolving live service game the dev's are supposed to listen to the community. The sad reallity is that they neither listen to their fans nor are they receptive to critsism. Behavior even throws content creators out of their partnerahip program if they complain about the game.    … Expand

    DBD just isn't fun. Rather, it takes time and gives almost nothing in return.
    There is no place for beginners, simply because it makes no sense.

    Camp killers, powerless survivors. Of the killers do not show initiative, you lose all kinds of games. How bad could you make a game?

    Pros

    - Private games with 4 close friends are probably the most fun you can have playing this game. - There are regular updates and events which keep the game on life support. Cons: - The ranking system is for low self esteem people who are weak-willed as you can't even be demoted. It's like spoon feeding babies. - There is STILL massive lag and discrepancy in hitboxes.     - Private games with 4 close friends are probably the most fun you can have playing this game.

    - The ranking system is for low self esteem people who are weak-willed as you can't even be demoted. It's like spoon feeding babies.

    - There is STILL massive lag and discrepancy in hitboxes. Jumping over a pallet or window from a killer and moving will sometimes still allow you to be hit from afar. Huntress STILL hits you from around corners.

    - Playing with randoms is one of the worst experiences imaginable in most circumstances. Survivors will camp unhooks instead of working gens, killers will face camp and tunnel out of the whazoo, if you 4 kill as killer god help you because you'll be getting passive aggressive messages calling you trash.

    - The more killers and survivors which are released, the more of an unbalanced mess the game becomes. Ever since the perk and prestige rework the game has dramatically gone downhill.    … Expand

    You take 9/10 this trash but gave only 6/10 to TCM because the game have drop hit fps and monotonous tasks. Just like your beastie game with 1 dumbest killer and 4 more dumb survivors. Good job IGM

    Unbalanced game with really overpriced dlcs, overpriced skins and overpriced price tag.

    Game's also p2w, has battle pass, and overall very much things which games f2p have even though this game isn't one of 'em.

    Playing with friends... MIGHT be fun, but if you really want to play with em, just go play move or die or any other party games.

    This game is extremely boring and repetitive. Sitting in one spot pressing m1 to do gens for 90 seconds+ is so much fun. Looping is also a lot of fun with the 5 pallets located in the map. The game fell off. After playing Texas Chainsaw Massacre for a week, I went back to dbd and it was unplayable due to how boring dbds gameplay is.

    If you play killer, you have to patrol and kick gens which is boring. Unless you buy and grind dlcs so that you can get gen defense perks.
    This game values gen rushing and gen patrolling more than fun gameplay. AS killer you are punished if you chase survivors without going to gens. But are rewarded for creating a 40 minute 3 gen that is impossible to beat, and as survivor you are rewarded for gen rushing... so boring
    These days, if you dont have gen regression build or have a team that is efficient on gens you will lose, since after the first chase most of the 5 pallets in the map will be gone, meaning you will have to simply shift + w to buy time.    … Expand

    Dead by Daylight is a missed opportunity. Despite an intriguing concept, the final result is flawed by a lot of small problems. You could still enjoy it, but in order to do so you should get over a terrible netcode, a grind-based progression system, and all too random rewards.

    Disastrous scoring system encourages some players to cooperate with the killer instead of running from him and reduces promising gameplay to nonsense (e.g. when the killer picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up, throws you into a trap, resets it, picks you up...).
