    If you're already a fan of old adventure games, this is for you. Otherwise, pass.

    This game is a remarkably faithful update of the original, but the humor and gameplay doesn't hold up very well for a modern audience. If the game were very easy, it might be entertaining for tweens, but the outmoded stereotypes and obscure puzzles would not.

    Una buena remasterización para todo un clásico de la época dorada de LucasArts. Personajes carismáticos, gráficos dibujados a mano, voces simpáticas, y un sistema de inventario cómodo de utilizar.

    Pero su historia, quizá la parte más importante, no me ha conseguido enganchar. Si hubiera sido solo un poquito mejor, le habría dado una mejor puntuación. Eso sí, si te gustó el juego    Una buena remasterización para todo un clásico de la época dorada de LucasArts. Personajes carismáticos, gráficos dibujados a mano, voces simpáticas, y un sistema de inventario cómodo de utilizar.

    Day of the Tentacle is a graphic adventure game developed and published by LucasArts. The plot follows Bernard Bernoulli and his friends Hoagie and Laverne as they attempt to stop the evil Purple Tentacle—a sentient, disembodied tentacle—from taking over the world. The player takes control of the trio and solves puzzles while using time travel to explore different periods of history.

    If you fall in love at first glance with the art style or are American (story is about that), you may get more out of it. But it is still a solid adventure game, one of the classics

    Хотя эту игру ставят в один ряд с Grim Fandango и Full Throttle, по моему мнению, она и рядом с ними не стояла. Смешных шуток - 3 штуки за всю игру, запоминающихся персонажей и того меньше.     After 23 years Day of the Tentacle is still so much more than a curious archeological find. It’s an important chapter of genre’s constitution, still reminding us how point’n’clicks should be done. [06/2016, p.42]

    It must’ve been very tempting to fix some quirks of the original, to make a legendary game a bit better. And maybe add something that had been planned back then, but wasn’t finished in time, or perhaps brush up the dialogues. Luckily, team behind Special Edition avoided all these temptations and delivered a game that’s 99.99% faithful to the original (the only joke that got removed is “Fony” logo on a TV) [Issue#209, p.66]
