    Honestly, this game doesn’t resemble the way it was advertised. The graphics are good and so is the music. Aside from that it’s just a poor man’s GTA set in the future. It’s super buggy, super repetitive, and just nowhere near what CDPR advertised or claimed it to be. It’s a worse bamboozle than No Man’s Sky. Video game devs need to stop pulling this shady BS.     Future of gaming industry MY ASS!! All lies!! Broken empty garbage of the game. This company should be held accountable for false advertisement, especially after claiming to care about consumers and quality of their products. Not to mention all the crunch times poor developers had to suffer in order to release this PoS... What a F shame!

    From me, the game is great. It was really an experience that transported me to the world of the future in which I spent and lived dozens hours. The game is really immersive from a first person point of view, especially the atmosphere and the design of how everything looks, feels and sounds incredible. The characters in the game are great, they are from different backgrounds, with their own past and problems. They are also greatly dubbed and memorable, I really developed a relationship with some of them. Same the music, it can evoke an action mega blast, tension and emotions. As for how the game is played, it is probably nothing special but it is comfortable to control and it is very diverse in what you can use as means of transport, weapons and hacking skills. I'm more for the atmosphere and immersion in the world and the story. If you like that stuff also, I can only recommend the game. It's a damn cool experience choomba! What's going on around the game is another matter. I enjoyed the game a lot but some people don't enjoy it the way they should. Mainly the owners of the "old gen" console. Even the PC version has problems and sometimes it can spoil the experience a bit in some situations. But that can be found in all games. For those who are not in rush, I might advise you to wait a while, because it really seems that some things in the game are unfinished. The developers plan to continue working on and improving the game, so it may be worth to wait some time and having the first experience in the best possible way. I will personally return to the game in a year to play it again and I am really curious how it will change in that time.… Expand

    So i played on gtx 1060, graphics were fine but not amazing (low settings), no lags. The best game i played in a long time. What i liked: story, fight mechanics and dynamic, leveling system, music, map/city design. Game doesnt have good ai, cop mechanics, traffic isnt great, but i was enjoying driving - arcade and easy, so you have time to look around .     Many bloggers have criticized cyberpunk for bugs and other issues. But for me this game has become my favorite and has bypassed such games as the Witcher, Halflife, all Elder Scroll series, and many others.     Really enjoyed this game. I thought the story was fun and very interesting. Definetely a memorable story. The gameplay was good for the most part. I wish they included more weapons that do different things and different types of quickhacks. At times, it just felt like I was going mission to mission guns blazing without really much of any variety. The music is fantastic for this game. BugsReally enjoyed this game.     I loved your unfinished game, I bought it, I waited patiently for patches. I ignored undelivered and defended broken. But now I had enough. Have some galvanising up your corporate throat and cough on it.
    PS I feel sorry for actual developers who was blamed for cynical corporate desision to rush and publish unfinished game.

    Для всех русскоязычных поясню за мнение - игра дерьмо, как релизнулась дикими багованным дерьмом в прошлом году, так до сих пор пытаются "это" пофиксить. Цена этой поделки ну максимум 1000 рублей, но это не уровень ААА проекта, cdpr скурвились.

    Пшеки есть пшеки. Как были гнилой нацией, так ей и остаются - на протяжении всей истории, 10-20 века мы, Русские воюем с этим гниловатым народцем. Сейчас, во времена тотальной толирастии и пидерастии на западе, мозги у пшеков совсем раскисли от сидра и нереализованных яблок.     Driving - Atrocious!!! The CDPR Engine can't provide. The physics are terrible as the handling.
    Night City - Vast but lifeless. Tons of random NPCs with bad AI. Reaching a destination is a no fun chore.
    Combat - Just cut everyone to pieces with the katana on normal. You can cut trough most with just melee weapons. Graphics - Dunno about max - played on mid settings and it was ok, but by    Driving - Atrocious!!! The CDPR Engine can't provide. The physics are terrible as the handling.

    Sound - Amazing! Voice lines and sounds are top quality. Voiceovers are Mass Effect 2 level.
    Bugs - you name it - floating boxes, unlootable itmes, glitching enemies, glitching environment, you car summon is bugged as hell. You can actually kill npc on the other side of a building with your car driving into them and exploding. Once I was carrying too much weight and was walking to my car, wehn i was about to reach it - it fell into the ground and exploded - thought they are making fun of me.
    Vulgar language and profanity every couple of meters wont be enogh for the game to be special.
    The game is not better than:
    I will most certainly not recommend anynone the game, not before a 70% price cut.
    CDPR should stick to predefiined IPs as Th Witcher.    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I created a metacritic account just to be able to rate cyberpunk 2077....wow, this alone should be enough for a rating, if you look at the score i give them.
    And it is shamefully bad, I've got 2 big gamebreaking bugs so far and numerous small ones, from graphical to sound and so on. And I'm only 4-5hhours in the game, completing just a few main quests.
    Once you are eventually immersed in the game, it throws you outta there with it's bugs. Flowing Food etc., not to be able to pick things up, citicens are crouching in fear even hours after there was a reason for it....and so on
    E. g., I parked my car in front of the homebase and overrun someone, police came, I excaped and ran back. Got to the appartement, slept a night, walked down and everybody was still crouching and wobbeling in fear.
    Another sample, the mission with your first big braindance in the apartement. Always when I got out of the braindance (the tutorial braindance and the apartement braindance), I see my car parked on the street in front of the club from above, with walking citicens and driving cars, but Judy, V and Eve are talking and the game goes on, as if I am seeing everything from the eys of V (as it should be). Even when the braindance is completely over and I am allowed to walk again...I can see V move on the radar and I am able to talk to Judy, but I still am only able to see my car on the street from above (instead of a first person view from V).
    After 8 years? WOW, this is really , really bad.

    And what everybody else is writting, is true too, the citicens are only zombies, they talk some **** yes, but thats it. No interaction, whatsoever.
    And of course no interaction with the world, absolutely nothing, except vending machines...vending machines, they are all over the place and absolutely useless (I mean the ones for buying drinks etc.).

    Another one? Sure, the driving is so, so bad, compared with the little details from the minimap, you always drive past a turn or crossing, when you are a little bit faster, because when you see, you have to take a left on the minimap, you are already over it...

    It feels as if there was little to no testing and absolutely no time for removing so small and minor bugs, which everybody must have encountered, who played the game for testing.

    I played Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2, for them I would give the witcher 3 a 9/10 and Red Dead Redemption 2 a 10/10, but this one here...

    It's Witcher 4 with some future mods installed. That's it guys. I m really sorry about this. Really.. But, its really bad. Not good at all. Maybe you can play it like 4-5 hours..     Mixed feelings: great story and interesting heroes, mad optimization at the same time. Of course some work is required. Will be waiting for patches. Thanks to CDPR for that rpg with good storytelling without any in game transactions.

    It sure is very buggy, but the game itself is just amazing! This is a very unique experience, every fan of cyberpunk or RPG or FPS should try this game! Quests are absolutely grate, both main and sub-quests!

    The game is awesome overall, so much details in textures and all, the cinematics are awesome and the way you can customize your player is fun. No issues found at all. The only time it crashed was because I had an VRAM overclock way to high by mistake. All three clases has their own different story and that makes the game have more ways to enjoy.     Open world feels empty and pointless, npc's are literally pathetic in this game, story is meh, it's just weak in every aspect. Not to mention that it barely runs on high end videocards.

    I had blinding white light in my face from the opening scene and then saw trees from kilometers away floating in my hud. Thought my guy was tripping. I spent three hours trying to make my dude asian to no avail this was the biggest hype train. How sad

This game was hyped up not by consumers but by marketing team and it is underwhelming at best. False promises, terrible optimization and bug infestation just makes this game unplayable in current state.

    NPCs    Cyberpunk 2077 is missing multiple massive fundamental features. Graphics is great, city is great but when it comes to overall quality of the game, it is pretty much terrible. This game was hyped up not by consumers but by marketing team and it is underwhelming at best. False promises, terrible optimization and bug infestation just makes this game unplayable in current state.

    NPCs driving AI is just non-existent, they are simply just following predetermined routes without any algorithms like: avoid obstacles, honk at obstacles, have reactions when they hit you and sh*t like that. Even GTA 5 which is not the best at NPC interactions has some type of reaction on NPCs when they hit you and that adds a lot to immersion

    Police system. It is absolutely garbage right now. Police won't even chase you in cars, only thing they can do is spawn behind you indefinitely

    Character customization is laughable at best. You can't change Tattoo in a cyberpunk game... Really? Even when you create your character there are so low amount of tattoos to choose from. GTA 5 has so many tattoos for SEPARATE BODY PARTS and tattoos are not even essential/important to roleplay in GTA 5. Buying cloths is AC:Valhalla level **** you can't even preview how they look on you

    World interactions. Apart from side missions and main story there is literally nothing to do but kill random NPCs or gangs and drive your car. As soon as you run out of side missions and main story you are left in an open world city with 0 interactions and activities.    … Expand

    The bad:

    1. Enemies are bullet sponges, you need multiple headshots to kill them.

    2. AI is atrocious, to the point of being nonexistent:

    Cops literally spawn on top of you and execute you if you do something illegal, even in the desert. Also, cops cannot use vehicles at all. Yes, car chases are not on the menu, except for some scripted missions.
    NPC don't react to the context, they just move around on predetermined paths and don't do anything else. Same 1-2 lines, same movement. You can watch someone knock on a door for hours if that's your jam. That respective door will not open :)

    3. Customization is really bland:

    -weapons have 2 slots for mods and don't really do anything special. Only the shown DPS number matters. Clothing is the same with the added disadvantage that you can't decide how you look when you equip something with better stats.

    4. Character development:

    The character stats + perks are absolutely forgettable, Torchlight 1 or Diablo 2 had better skill stats/trees and those are 20 year old games. Why couldn't they just copy something from Fallout/ Deus Ex etc if they couldn't come up with something decent ? Warning: melee sucks, invest in guns. Also stealth is a joke/waste of time. You can't complete missions being stealthy. That may change after patch 2.31 though (we're at patch 1.04 now )

    5.The story itself is generic: the NPCs that give you jobs are just talking heads on a phone screen, there's zero connection to anyone.

    TL,DR: the game systems lack (any) depth, AI is nonexistent. Wait for patch 2.31 and buy it on a 50% sale at least. The game feels and plays like a F2P game, but has the gall to call itself AAA Title and wants 60$/€.    … Expand

    I requested a Refund for ths from GoG because this a VERY Much cutted down version of the Game we were promised and shown in 2018. CD Projekt Red had a massive turn-over in staff and the game was changed to include more Keanu and remove about 30+ hours of actual RPG gameplay.

    Don't buy if you are expecting an RPG and not a "Looter-Shooter" Beautiful Game World but disappointed with    I requested a Refund for ths from GoG because this a VERY Much cutted down version of the Game we were promised and shown in 2018. CD Projekt Red had a massive turn-over in staff and the game was changed to include more Keanu and remove about 30+ hours of actual RPG gameplay.

    fix your game!!!!!!!!! this is almost as worst as Fallout or any ubisoft title. seriously disgusted by the state of this game. I will return to it in 5month once its fixed and bug free.

Решил играть так, божеееее какой же мусор а не игра, этого мы ждали 7 лет? Никогда бы не поверил что эту игру делали те же люди что ведьмака, это не уровень даже убейсофт. Снес игру и вряд ли у меня когда нибудь ещеНа релизе запустил, прифигел от багов и от каличных механик работающих зерез одно место или вообще не работающих, решил подождать, подождал, захожу и ничего не изменилось. Still mad about the fps decision, i would have loved a third person rpg... except that nothing too bad... The people walking in the city are jut dead, that's the worst thing for me.

    Here in cyberpunk everything seems dead, you can't talk to anyone, just some **** one liners and that's it, you can't interact with them, fight them, push them, rob them, nothing... I know that by the end of the game after finishing all the quest, i'll have nothing to do, and that's a shame.    … Expand

    Hilariously awful!

    This game has been hyped to kingdom come. After years of anticipation and several delays, gamers were optimistic to receive an optimized, bug-free game; after all, the developers took their time to straighten out all the kinks, right? Wrong. Upon installing the game and its very large day-one patch, I was surprised to see that the game many thought to become the    Hilariously awful!

    Upon installing the game and its very large day-one patch, I was surprised to see that the game many thought to become the game of the century was so badly optimized, that my PC system running a GTX1070 could not even handle the game on the lowest settings.
    Gameplay-wise the game has absolutely nothing to offer what other games hadn't done before. In fact, many aspects of the game feel out-dated and unnecessarily clunky. Stealth is a joke; you can only silently take out an enemy when you are behind them. While you can use hacking to temporarily disable their vision, you're still not able to grab them from in front.

    I have played the game for more than thirty hours at this point and Cyberpunk 2077 has been more than disappointing throughout. My main focus in the game so far has been the countless side-quests. In terms of the main story, I'm about 60% done. Many have said the story makes up for the performance issues, the bugs, the glitches, but I don't support that argument.
    Surely the story isn't a bad one, but in my opinion, it doesn't even come close to the likes of The Outer Worlds, Red Dead Redemption 2, or even Fallout.

    IN the same way, the city of Night City feels as dead as V when they were launched into the air after kicking a trashbag; while the Sci-Fi buildings, cars, and weapons might be somewhat pretty to look at, nothing in this world seems alive. NPCs don't react to the player at all. If you stand in the road, you'll be run over. If you're in the way of a pedestrian, they will walk right through you. The cars are simply there to be an obstacle for you in traffic or for you to jack should you be in dire need of a vehicle, which, on a side-note, the game tries really hard for you not to be since you will get a message every so often asking you to buy a car you will never afford.

    I have found that if I play anything other than the main story, my game crashes every five to ten minutes. It freezes, it outright crashes, and it even blue-screened my PC once. I do not understand how such a broken game passed CDPR's quality control if there ever was any.

    Summary:

    - Unnecessary bugs and glitches
    - Lackluster gameplay mechanics

    It's not an RPG, and its not a choice-driven game so if that's what you looking for it's not for you. Gun play is meh, the gun choice is ok but you'll just get a widow maker and stay with that the entire game. Clothing while a massive selection you'll want to go with armor, FYI armor is junk it literally makes very little difference. I enjoyed trying to sneak until it would bug out and I either got stuck in scan mode or it would just not let me grab. A billion shards that you will never read. you'll carry a million drink and food items you will almost never use. Upgrading items is costly and a joke. I did enjoy the random cars appearing and trash bags exploding into the air. Bugs aside there is just not a lot to this game.… Expand

    I love it. It is not my favorite game ever, but it's among them. Yeah, it has bugs, but I'm confident CDPR will resolve them and the game will be a polished diamond and not only a raw diamond.

    Shockingly terrible, like I said before this game has more crashes than the aviation industry over the past 10 years. THERE IS LITERALLY NO AI IN THIS GAME. The cars follow a scripted path and the police spawn right behind you when you commit a crime. GTA 3 HAD BETTER AI. This game deserves to be burned and thrown into a landfill.

    A lot has been cut out, yet the initial intentions were in fact gigantic and, I guess, the main reason I admire the game so much is that I've never believed they could achieve that in the first place, and they still delivered a lot. And I thought that all the chip-stuff would be too complicated and tedious and won't work, and yet, CDPR delivered, and it JUST WORKS (sort of. It's still somewhat complicated, but totally playable).
    And it is still a great game. Unpolished - yes (and yet for PC it was pretty much satisfactory from the day one - much better then TES and later Battlefield series on their release). But the game is great, and, what matters the most, it IS the "new Deus Ex" for the new generation of gamers. In general, gameplay outmatches or at least smoothly accommodates everything that has been done in this direction, and CDPR have actually delivered the true NEW GAME of immersive sim genre.
    The UI is still somewhat flawed tho. For example, they really had to dig more into GTA's map. But that's not something you cannot get used to. Except for turns. Damn turns. They really should zoom out the map or angle it.

    A lot of people complain that the game is not optimized properly. Yet they forget that for HL2 PCs from 2000 were too old, for Oblivion PCs from 2002 were too old, and for Cyberpunk it's only 2013-2014. 7 years old PCs can run Cyberpunk smoothly (on low settings tho), instead of 2-4 years old, as it was for games that were coming out in early 00's. And Activision games? CoD Warzone makes my PC burn on low settings, while I play Cyberpunk smoothly on high settings, while it's Cyberpunk what is actually the nextgen.
    And, I guess, the problem is that there were no games since the start of 2017. No, really. RDR2, SW Jedy Fallen Order, FarCry 5 and New dawn,.. Control? That's all, except for factory-stamped CoD and Assassins. People just got loosen up by indie games and forgot that serious major new games require serious hardware. So, for short: STFU and upgrade your PC. You only need like 2015's hardware with 16GB RAM and a videocard that has 6+ GB VRAM to run Cyberpunk absolutely smoothly, and you can get it for roughly $500 (or $1k, if you'd like to buy all new parts, which is exactly the cost of a new PC in early 00's, heh).

    Yet, I must say, that absolutely stupid people mob AI makes the game quite... disbalanced. It's like you live in a braindead city. Or in a simulation. And I do hope that CDPR would change that with some of their patches.
    So, for me, with all the bugs and stupid AI and scripted scenes, it's solid 8/10. Probably it could've been 6, but I'm not just a regular pew-pew-gamer and I see the technical side of the game, thus I see the enormous effort. And considering all the flame on the internet, and here in reviews, I think that my duty is to balance the score with a ten.    … Expand

    The game is absolutelly fabulous. Still some bugs, but hey man - enter the night city and you will be amazed. It's such a complex creation that no wonder there might be some small issues. CD Project created the world that will last for years. Highly recommended - best Christmas gift in 2020.

The game has always been too ambitious and demanding for old hardware (you can tell from just looking at the early footage) and their attempt to get this working on old consoles is admirable but in the end has resulted in the majority of negative PR.

    So yes this review is for next gen and PC, and with that in mind, this game is fantastic. If you get over the initial hype and just play this for what it is, a game, you’ll realise it has a rich deep story with a seemingly endless amount of content.

    I feel people have to experience this as it was intended to truly appreciate it, and I feel the game has not been out long enough for all these negative reviews to be a true reflection of this next gen masterclass.    … Expand

Yes it has the odd bug here and there but I am yet to experience anything more than a minor inconvenience. The graphics are immense and the city feels alive and truly immersive.

    It's a phenomenal game with a great story and so much to do it's almost overwhelming...but in a good way.    … Expand

    I'm playing on GeForce NOW with Ray Tracing enabled and graphics is great. I'm currently at 14h and didn't saw any significant bugs.
    Story is great, you can decide what your pace is, you can explore city, take side missions, ride a car, a bike at night or day. Great atmosphere especially at night.

    It is not GTA. It is a game with amazing story. Very immersive.
    There are bugs, but it is not what CDPR cannot fix.
    Recommend to play on PC, not PS4.

    Una de las ambientaciones mejor logradas de todos los tiempos. Misiones principales excelentes, con una atmosfera de las mejores que he jugado. Muchas secundarias que me sorprendieron por lo bien logradas que estan. Dejando a un lado bugs y glitches, que supongo solucionaran mediante parches, el juego es una obra de arte contemporaneo.     Gunplay is fun, swords are fun, it is a bit empty in terms of possibolity to talk to people but not majorly noticable as theres alot of questing andexploring to do.

    I honestly I would like to give this game a 10 but I can not deny technical problems of the game. These days internet is full of complains about this game. Despite all the technical problems I enjoyed every minute of the game. Some people critize this game so hard for 1 of its aspect , I believe it's bit unfair. There is no denying the game is broken, but it is fun and colorfull. Story,I honestly I would like to give this game a 10 but I can not deny technical problems of the game. These days internet is full of complains about this game. Despite all the technical problems I enjoyed every minute of the game.     This Game is a **** masterpiece. Yes it may have some bugs and glitches, but the Story and the Feeling while playing it, i mean its a game thats ending made me cry. Its so unbelivable amazing

    Bugs? Sure, but none that makes game unplayable and cannot be repaired.
    Everything else - masterpiece! Someone said reviewers got paid for that positive reviews - hell no, it rather looks like the negative feedback from users is paid by competitors :)

    Quests: narrative, characters, writing story etc etc, again as subjective as artstyle, but it's definitely got it's highs so lets just grant them a point out of the kindness in our hearts. Personally I thought it was pretty bad, like it was written by a teenager and some major characters were poorly voiced and written. Like V. Nothing akin to TW3.

    RPG elements: For an RPG there is literally nothing to do. The crafting system is poor and a last minute thought. The looting system straight out of borderlands is perversely out of place and had me switching guns every time I picked something up until I got legendary highest DPS I could find. Terrible. Upgrades and mods are also pathetic. UI for everything is the same pathetic menu with no interactivity, just "here's a small picture with words", totally different to what was advertised before. The skill tree is plentiful but ultimately just "OK" as most options are just small percentage boosts. No way to tell what level anyone is.

    Sandbox elements: The open world/sandbox elements are non existent, why they made an open world game and made it completely non-interactive is beyond me. Enemy variety is poor, not even any minigames like TW3 or KCD, merely 4 prostitutes. Every neutral activity is a shop with the same UI as previously mentioned. Extremely lacking.

    Technology: There is barely any code for AI, half the animations in the entire game are simply not there, 3rd person cutscenes are cut from most of the game from some reason, physics are bare bones and lazy. There aren't any systems in place, the wanted system is last minute "sort of " there, customization is basic and I can not see my character while playing. Photomode is pointless and a waste of time and resources when your game is missing most of its promised aspects. Where are the corrupted police officers I can bribe, factions of gangs I can actively participate in, car customization, in depth UI with animations.

    Performance: The game is barely held together by a thread, oscillating framerates and an infinite list of bugs that kept me spamming reload saves. I dread to think of what the ps4 version is like.

    Gameplay: janky and tolerable at best (shooting certain guns), totally poor at worst (driving, melee, controls). Balancing? Never heard of it. Does nothing innovative.

    Graphics: I played this on a Ryzen 5 3600xt CPU and an RTX 3070 GPU averaging around 80fps. At best with Raytracing on ultra the game is visually stunning, at worst NPCs look like they are made out of paste, smaller objects like bricks of lego and as previously mentioned, a LOT of geometry isn't finished.

    Content: Overall there is a good bit of content. It is extremely repetitive and about 1/3rd of Tw3s content, this game was advertised as a replayable, feature packed game, deeper and more mechanical than Tw3. They will not be getting a full point because of this, since it is a downgrade from Tw3.

    That being said. I was deeply disappointed with the product, CDPR lied through their teeth about a lot of features, and it is in an unfinished state as of the time of this review.

    The best metaphor for Cyberpunk 2077 is Johnny Silverhand himself. A messiah, a mix of Kurt Cobain and Che Guevara, a talented singer who loves to shape his own legend and has a charming personality but loses the struggle with his own demons. The same goes for the game. It tells a great story and forced me to ask myself difficult questions, but many of its gameplay mechanics do not evolve and its technical state upon release was abysmal. Cyberpunk’s true hero is not a person, but Night City – a vibrant, living creature of great diversity. The beauty of the metropolis is striking. [01/2021, p.22]

    Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most disturbing and mind-blowing RPGs in history, where every decision has a deep impact on our trail. CD Projekt RED tosses us to the center of a city filled with disgusting delights where every character deserves our attention in an immersive experience and overall, very rewarding. From the sarcastic and shadowy tone imposed by the countless scenes in the game, to the flexibility we have on the choices to face every situation that is presented, Night City is truly memorable. It’s a shame that the countless bugs spoil or diminish the impact of some resounding moments, but we are without a question, in the presence of one of the best games in 2020.

    Measured against the extreme expectations, Cyberpunk 2077 can't fulfill any of them. But all in all, despite the countless small weaknesses and inconsistences, with interesting characters, great story and dialogues or the freedom concerning gameplay, CD Projekt delivers a unique and great RPG that every fan of the genre needs to play.
