After a devastating loss, Jae would do anything to fix the past. Blast off on that quest with your newfound friends on a journey to the gates of Yimmelia, a fabled land on the moon that’s rumored to grant any wish.

This JRPG draws on ideas from genre classics, but with varied new gameplay twists. You’ll explore forests, cities, rock concerts and more, with traversal that is always fun and dynamic; there are no random encounters, while you can dash and charge into objects (and people!) for unique results. How you interact with people will influence game events and combat.

Combat incorporates timed hits, with special combinations as you team up with amazing party members. Build the meter, attack and defend, while unleashing awesome combos for better rewards!

On the whole, Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game is a treat, and the confidence with which it approaches its frequently gut-wrenching narrative and merges it effortlessly with completely off-the-wall shenanigans is commendable, putting plenty of bigger budget competition to shame. Cricket: Jae’s Really Peculiar Game tells a tale that feels personal, relatable, and, most importantly, accurate in the way it depicts the impact grief can have on a young mind that hasn’t developed enough to fully come to terms with tragedy.

Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game is a very personal story that touches on modern and nuanced social issues under the umbrella of loss, which we all struggle with. A deep sense of nostalgia fuels the experience through the colorful turn-based battles and imaginative boss encounters, providing older gamers with a familiar stage and giving newcomers a chance to enjoy an RPG from beginning to end, regardless of their skill level. While the overall experience could have been more focused, with less time spent on half-baked systems, it's an enjoyable and charming adventure that will easily find its audience.
