    I spent hundreds of hours playing this game in College. If I got bored of the regular game mode I always went over to a zombie server or a gungame server. The game had a large variety of maps made by the community, it's hard to get bored of the game.

    Although the Counter-Strike: Source is so ambitious, it cannot reach its succeed like the Counter-Strike.however, we can see Valve had put a lot of effort to make this game to be perfect.In addition, it is a good game.

    THE BEST MULTIPLAYER SHOOTER EVER!
    Really never had so much fun in an online FPS this is how Multiplayer Shooters should be! Better than CSGO in my opinion

    The pros of this game is that this game is always fun and different, and I have played for 100+ hours and recommend for anyone who likes valve games or fps's. For those who care about graphics and animations might not be too happy with it, but I promise, it is super fun!

    Very good game! Very great graphics for the year of 2004! Valve did go very far with this game, just play it man, if you loved the CS 1.0~1.6 just grab this, its an graphic upgraded cs 1.6 br0, i dind't even play it that much ... ( 1300.00 hours in steam )

    Overall, 420/69 would smoke again.

    All time best shooter and most fun PC game ever. What make the game rock is the realism, the dynamism of the matches, the tactics and the graphics. Impact of this game no other PC game has ever caused since then. Remain intact the physics of the original game while adding much better graphics.

    Counter Strike Source is the best CS Game. Awesome graphics for 2005, in CS GO isnt better, good community, in CS GO community is terrible, many different cool things and weapons, in CS GO isnt more, CS Source much better than CS GO, CS GO isnt cool and not deserve has got popular, CS Source is better, but in CS Source there are one minus, this is cheaters.

    Counter-Strike: Source is considered to be one of my favorite first-person shooter's in general. In this game, you can play as either the Counter-Terrorists (CTs), or Terrorists (Ts). Some maps will be based on a certain objective: Defuse a bomb (or plant it), or rescue hostages. Like every other Counter-Strike game, you have a "Buy" menu in which you can use virtual cash to buy weapons,Counter-Strike: Source is considered to be one of my favorite first-person shooter's in general. Поменяли скины для Террористов и Спецназовец. Онлайн на высшем уровне! Вы можете найти сервер, где есть игроки. Есть одиночная игра с ботами.Это обычный Counter strike, только на движке соурс.     This has been a defining game during my teenage years. With over 1.500 hours played, I think this is the game I've played most of all. The fierce clan matches, the relaxed mod servers, this game had it all.

    Great game, competitive, looks still good kinda. Custom maps and mods! No smoothing with raw input on. Runs great on high fps! Memes and good memories playing zombie escape maps and having fun on custom servers! This game was so fun and great. It is pity cs go, replaced it. I wish they never made it!

    Amazing for 2004. The "Source" game engine has been used to the fullest. Especially, the game physics and dynamics are very strong. The weapon handling is realistic and the animations are great. Graphics and effects have jumped compared to previous games. The interface is not very useful. But for a 2004 game, it excels in everything. This game is definitely a legend.

    Juego épico de disparos aunque ya bastante anticuado, aún así no te cansa jugarlo.Le doy 10 puntos por los buenos y menos buenos ratos que me hace pasar pues al ser muy competitivo te llegas a frustrar cuando no le vuelas el cráneo al enemigo... xd

    This game is 1 of the best online games now can play more people in serves 64 than in cs 1.6 are 32 oll mine favorites guns and but i am yearning shield on CT side.

    This game is great. It's fun with some arcade-esque mod servers, but also has a good amount of realism. A lot of people play it, so finding a server isnt very hard. /if your computer can run it, I'd highly reccomend Counter Strike Source. If I had a complaint, its would be that you have to wait for a round to end to respawn, and rounds can tend to be excesively long, but the This game is great.     Its really a great game, good graphics and great game play, the effects are awesome and the scenery is great, i love how you can actually shoot through the boxes and doors, but there are some hackers which brings the game play down.

    Really good game. I nice upgrade Counter Strike 1.6 offering improved graphics and gameplay, though still including the old classic maps such as de_dust2 and de_aztec. For the £10 it costs now, well worth picking up, for both CS 1.6 veterans and gamers that wish to start.

    Great game, lots of fun, I've racked up about a week's play time since christmas. Three gripes, autosnipers are cheap, some people kill u in two shots w/out headshots (don't ask how), death often comes far too quickly. One wrong step and ur dead. Learning curve is very steep.

    Love the game. Very addicting I couldn't stop playing it for like 10 hours after i started liking it a lot. Somethings that are bad are the frequent crashes I get whenever anything happens and I end up restarting my comp and loading everything again.

    This game is awesome. Its physics are great and its cool how the grenades send em flying the blood is cool and how the dont go through the walls but sluch angainst them is great. If only Counter Strike Condition Zero had these graphics and physics it would be great! Keep up the great work Valve!

    Besides the usual quirky game mechanics that have been around since CS's first inception the game is amazing. With the source engine driving this game scoring kills just got 10 times more satisfying.

    It's a Good game whith nice grafik...fun too play, but its relly diffrent from all the other Cs games its moore like Half-life 2, with the new updates so u can look other then like 1 char all chars from cs has come. I recomend This game too all that like Half-life 2 Dm and wanna try something new in Cs revolotion.

    People that complain about crappy frames should get a better comp. When this game first came out I was averaging 60, which is decent. Now I average around 100 and I have never really experienced any lag other then crappy servers.

    Only thing that keeps it from a 10 in my book is it is pretty much just a port with nicer graphics. We need more new stuff. I still love it though.

Given that, I feel I have the best understanding of the progression of the game. I was adament against switching to source, but it is, in fact, better than 1.6.     The normal arenas of the game have kept players ecstatic for days on end. I personally go wild on the Surf maps, and can play 100 rounds w/o knowing what time it is.

    Easy to teach. But you needn't to be clever toplay very good. If you want to play in it very good you mast only play. You mast not to think. It is only counter-strike 1.6 . And it had not intresting new things. Bat cs1.6 is old game and it and it couldnot live a lot of time . When cs 1/6 will be died (not soon),css will be alive!

    When i bought this game 2 years ago, i was impressed; valve really succeeded in porting cs to famous source-engine. + HDR was the final addition, that got me. Overall, good game, but has nice amount of people playing, who can only play with cheat(s) in order to grow their virtual dick(s). I`ll recommend this game for all those, who like FPS-games.

The graphics are awesome,the flash effects are outstanding,the grenade effects are good also,and the character models are just fine.But the game gets kind of boring after awhile because its so repetitive,this is not a deathmatch game,its a more team work based game,if i wanna play a death match i could just buy a game like This game its one of the best online shooters I've ever play.     One of the best games I've played. With so many servers online, it's impossible not to find a server to your liking. Though I have found some glitches, but they hardly happen. This game is truly worth buying. Great multiplayer action.

    The game is very good if you're a good gamer ... But sometimes Steam can be very frustrating ! The graphics are OK but the gameplay is not perfect . You can't even jump on a crate of 1.5m ... So a tip for the buyers :
    buy it only if you have a perfect internet connection and if your fingers are very fast; if you wait a second in front of your enemy, you're dead....

    Hey head shots may seem random but what the guy on the other team can do i can too, just takes practice and adjustment to a new style of playing. I still prefer 1.6 but only noobs complain about source, either waste your $20 or learn to play it like all the others. Fun game =)

    Great game, leaves the 1.6 way behind. The physics engine is really one of the bes things about this game, as the bodies and the weapons drop like ragdolls should.The thing i don't like is Valve not releasing any new official maps and the ability to kind of shoot through corners of walls or boxes, copied from 1.6.

    One of the best multiplayer game returns in a new way better version... The graphichs and the animation are the best for this type of game and the gameplay it's a bit easier than in cs 1.6...but it's a wrong thing because for some people the old Counter Strike was TOO much difficult...

    This game is awesome and once you play it, you won't ever want to go back to the original. It's basically the same game though except with updated graphics and a few extra guns. They could have actually added more stuff to the game though such as more characters rather than just the same 4 considering the amount of people that can be in the same game.     A very solid shooter that has provided me endless hours of fun. Its not a game I've raved about then grown out-of, its a quality game that has always remained fun to play. Its easy to get the hang of but takes a lot of skill and practise to master, but doing so is definatly fun.

    Only things to keep in mind before buying this is the fact that the normal gameplay isn't quite newbie friendly, you have to commit a lot of time and skill in order to dominate your opponents. Surprisingly when you buy a mature game you expect mature players and telling you now this is not the case in many servers you play on counter-strike has always featured a wide array of mods throughout its history but because of games like "Surf" where a player rides a rail along a path in the sky the game can almost all but lose the aspect of a "First person Shooter" and will almost entirely become a benign kids game. In fact ive been to many a few game servers featuring mods such as "zombie mod", "Surf" (as mentioned earlier) and even copies of other games such as World of Warcraft, Even downhill skiing and musical chairs aren't out of the question (thats right MUSICAL CHAIRS) going to a zombie mod server Ive noticed that many of the players are at least under the age of 15. I cannot comment on the nature of the online players because it can vary between rude and downright vulgar to extremely helpful and generous... counter-strike source is what you make of it if you play with a good attitude you will find more people like yourself and you will find good communities online. because all if not most of the servers are all individually owned (almost franchised even) rules in servers may vary so if you find a server with a tight set of rules and watchful administrators you might as well let your 2 year old play the game. again... the game is what you make of it.… Expand

    Great game, has a variety of different types of servers although i agree thats some times the aim is off, but it is the server that is messed up if that happens. overall a great game with good graphics and good gameplay i would recommend it.

    Play for 5 minutes or 5 hours, you don't get bored. Great fun but lets have some more official maps please.

    VERY FUN GAME. But don't be caught in the illusion that it is a GOOD game, cause it is not. If you want hardcore CS, play 1.6 or CZ, but if you want the fun of your life, I highly recommend this game. Besides, a video game is for fun, right? :P

    It's stupid to have a gun in any game that is as powerful as the AWP. Any developer with inteligence would have not put that in the game. The rest is good, way to buy somebodies idea and not get the kinks out before you put it on your engine.

    Its the mother of FPS games, I dunno if there will ever be a gamelike CS:S again so im gonna take these moments and treasure them.

    I have played Counter Strike ever since I was young and I have to say this one was by far the best, well with increasing technology it's eneditable that it would be, allthough I do think for the technicle eara we are at the moment I think the graphics could be better, but that is my only complaint, but this game is truley amazing a total 9/10!

    I give it a 9 because it has great graphics and is great to play...though every now and then its got problems but the world isnt perfect, and for ppl that complaine about hacking....it has pretty good protection because I hacked once and they banned my cd key to Half-Life 2 so I had to buy a whole new one...and this has happend to my freinds too.

    The definitive online FPS. Just the right blend of skill and tactics, with great visuals. If you're new to it, the amount of amazingly-skilled players can be off-putting, but the maps are small enough to learn quickly, so stick with it and you'll be headshotting with the AWP in no time.

    This game is fantastic. Just like 1.6, but with better graphics. All the original 1.6 people that wine "waaa! the hitboxes are messed up", "omg! the recoil is bad" etc. Are not very clever, if you test the two on both games, you can find they have as bad hitboxes as each other and the recoil is the same almost. Also people that say it's full of idiots that complain about AWP and Auto This game is fantastic. Just like 1.6, but with better graphics. Once again total rubish, my computer is 800USD, it plays it like a gem, and i can run it on max settings with no trouble at all. Finally, i want to make it clear that it's graphics isn't ust wat makes it a better game, it's the entire thing, people that moan about pointless physics - what did it do to the game play.     The game is excellent, it has taken the classic Counter Strike to the next level. The grphics are stunning and the sound is awesome. only 2 things that need improvement. 1. Bring back the tactical sheild. 2. Hackers are everywhere and ruin the game

    Valve has done a sterling job of moving a flagship franchise over to a new engine. Whilst the gameplay guts come over correct and intact, (which may disappoint some), Counter-Strike: Source is an even more engrossing and captivating experience, capable of sapping hours of your time, and even the worst "1337 g33zers" abusing voice chat can't spoil the fun you'll have with it.

    Counter-Strike: Source is, once you've gained a knack for it, the most consistently rewarding and surprising team-based shoot-'em-up available on the PC today. It's been dressed up nicely for its relaunch in 2004, but it wasn't broken, and Valve hasn't fixed it.
