    Best game I played so far, and I've played a lot of FPS related games including Unreal Tournament type games, Quake... I am a game fanatic... but out of all the games I know of so far, Counter Strike source to me is the best.

    I have played CS since the first version came out with Half Life. It still kicks any Team based games out there. For some reason I keep coming back for more.

    Games of this quality usually are pay to play. I hope they continue to make top of the line software and keep just the way it is. They constantly come out with upgrades and additions to their games, making somthing already awesome, even better!

Brilliant graphics and will run well on a large range of PC's, good gameplay that is not overly complex, does not require large amounts of teamwork which allows for a good pub session but competatively is well balanced and a very exciting game. I believe Counter Strike: Source for this reason represents the basics of the fps genre without to many 'fancy' bits. For those veteran gamers Counter Strike: Source offers the equal, if not, a greater gaming experience. Counter Strike 1.6 has for a long time been a very competitive centered game, with tournaments and ladders and recently CSS has managed to begin to equal the 1.6 leagues. Wars and scrims in counter strike source could not be more intense and exciting. Overall give this game a 10/10, truly one of the greatest games for online multiplayer… Expand

    Don't listen to the people who gave it 0s and 3s. This game has alot more amazing things than cs 1.6 or any other cs game. Levels are ALOT more detailed than the other version and less boxier. You can tell Valve spent a great deal on this. Hackers and cheaters/botters are rarely on because of admins and hosts. Headshots can be only made by a true marksman, hacker/botter, or by justDon't listen to the people who gave it 0s and 3s. This game has alot more amazing things than cs 1.6 or any other cs game.     I believe that by far Counter strike Source is one of the most amazing and excellently interactive games on the market and i believe it to be a great way to not only play but to meet people make friends and build awesome teams for competition css is by far not only a great game with staying power but a great game in the all around sense of the word great.

    You can never grow tired of this game. If played with a group of friends/ a useful team/ a clan, there truely is no more rewarding online gaming experience. The graphics are good, (with great implamentation of HDR lighting in some maps) and the gameplay is fantastic. It's just a shame you have to meet some true morons on Public servers but this should not blemish a really great game -You can never grow tired of this game.     This game is a classic. I can see myself playing it for many years to come. Unlike other online games you don't have to play it 24/7 to be a contender or pay an arm and a leg to play the game.

    Well honestly my pc isn't that slow but sometimes it is really really REALLY slow. Unluckily for me right when i got CS:S my pc was in that very bad slow motion mode. so it took me about 1hour 30minutes to upgrade or upload or whatever to start playing. But I played it in my cousins house zombie mod Warcraft 3 mod etc.... and it really is a fun game once you get used to it.     I remember when I first got my laptop it never lagged in any game, I could actually enjoy it. Then, after awhile, it started slowing up. So when I first got CS:S I thought i was in for some major lag and I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. But, after like 15 games with no lag, where as my CS:CZ would lag after a half a game, I'm pretty impressed. I love this game!

    By far one of the best games I have ever played! I can always enjoy jumping on for a while and blastin away. Source has improved the graphics and physics so much. This game will never get old. I look forward to the newer updates and versions to come!

    In my opinion, Counter-Strike:Source is a really well designed continuation of the famous Counter-Strike 1.6 fps game. The Source engine really amused the CS followers and fans.

    The graphic is much better as the graphic from counter-strike 1.6 or counter-strike: condition zero. the maps are realer than before. i mean erverything is better than before :) they did a good job.

    I love this game. It is an amazing first person shooter that NEVER gets old. I have loved playing it since the first day i got it! it was DEFENETLY worth the money!

    What can I say? The best game of all time. I gave up all my other gaming habits for Counter Strike Source, as I found the gameplay not only the most realistic but the most fun!

    A true performance of a game. Surf maps and game mod maps and all sorts .. u just cant beat it when it comes to most addictive games. 10/10 of me outstanding game !! =)

    I own an Xbox 360, and all the hype re: Halo 3 makes me despair, although the 360 is unparelled for sports, driving and even arcade style 'Live' games.. there is no competition between the PC and the 360 in terms of FPS quality. Halo 3 is reminiscent of a cut down, impoverished Unreal Tournement 2003.     I Love This Game, It Got Awsome Graphics , Grate Gameplay, lots of differint game type from surf to gungame to zombie. i have played this game since 12/26/06 since today over 850+ hours.

    Been playing it for years. There are servers for every one, from surf to gungame. This game will be one of the best purchases that you will make, simply because of its vast size. Every level oozes with atmosphere, and the vast community ensures that there is always something new. If only there were more games like this.

    omfg! this is the BEST GAME EVER! its a simple "shoot-em up" that uses life like physics and realistic environments. Not only are the diffrent modes exiting (zombie mod, Gun game -zm, gg) users are always making and adding new, more fun maps to play on! And dont forget about all the secret spots you can find to dominate all those n00bs out there!

    Extremely good game and very addicting....gets updated every month or so and gameplay is extremely smooth and wayy better than the previous games. This is officially one of the best games valve has created.

    This game is to be loved and adored for all ages, friendly community and very fun mods keep a 4 year old game nice, fresh, and still amazingly fun. And you know a game is fun when even though you arent very good at it, you keep playing. Awaiting the next Counter-Srike!

    A great game! I'm not the greatest fan of online multiplayer games but Counterstrike is certainly making me one. My friend bought me it for christmas and every chance I get I'm on it.

    This is my favourite game, I never look one game superior. Este es mi juego favorito no e visto nunca un juego mejor. Al principio no me gustaba, pero en 2 semanas le coji el tranquillo y aqui sigo casi 3 años jugando al CSS y no me he cansado lo mas minimo. Un saludo a todos los Counteros.

    Cant see why this is a 8.8? i'ts still played more then most other games, nothing real wrong with it, its just great, it has neet physics good action and its nicely balanced, imo best shooter around atm, yes also above cs1.6 simply becaus its to old for me.     After thrashing the hell out of games like UT3, COD 4 and the like - I find myself installing this and enjoying it all over again. It's just so much fun and the fan base is amazing. Get on a decent server with decent active admin and your rocking :)

    a great game have enjoyed it since the day i bought it, definitely need some skill to play it or you just watch other people only down side is the little kids who never shut up other then that an awesome FSP cant wait for the next one.

    Its Just the best online shoot em up games i have ever played. The best bit for me about it is not the graphics and stunning maps but the voice. It means you can out of the blue just start a random chat with someone you have never met.

    Love the game and really hope Valve will do another installment

    I love Counter Strike Source! The graphics is so damn bloody real, the sounds are stunningly real too. I love the fact that it's online! not like most other shooting games. For those like Lewis W, who seem to have only played one server, you will be surprised. If you just want to improve on your reaction time and have a bit of fun, play a Deathmatch server! If you want to proceed your skills in all kinds of weapons, play a gun game server! If you It does not matter wether you are a pro, or just there for fun, there is a map, and a server, which suites you.     Counter-Strike: Source has to be one of the best online shooters ever. When you first start out you may be aggrivated or flat pissed off but give it some time to learn because once you do you get the joy to say " hahaha I pwned you noob!" Man I love this game!!! O and Lewis W., the only reason the game sux for you is because u just plain suck.

    The reason this game so much better than it's counterparts was that it wasnt dumbed down for all the console tards who need an inch diameter cross hair and a sticky aim. Beautifully done.

    Lewis W, looks like you were too lazy to learn te game, only went on one server, wich had many players on it, if the waiting doesn't fit you, you just join a server with less players, It's easy like that. When you fall in love with this game, you wont stop loving it :) Just give it a chance and learn the skills, And you will like it!

    It is an amazing game and I love it so much. There are a lot of mods like surf, rpg, death match, zombie mod, gun game, and paint ball/dodge ball.

    Hope that counterstrike may increase shotgun,pistols and submachine gun section. Rifles section add more snipers.

In my book this game scored big points on: hard to learn - big point, it won't get boring soon; never the same; real feel of guns; one life per game - remember the good old Quake 2? Running mindless because of no limit to lives in one round?     Counter Strike Source is an instant classic. Just like the original it brings teamplaying FPS to a new level. Just as good as the original but made for modern day gaming. It's a SHAME that the magazine cridicts didn't give it a 10 as well!

    Valve has done a sterling job of moving a flagship franchise over to a new engine. Whilst the gameplay guts come over correct and intact, (which may disappoint some), Counter-Strike: Source is an even more engrossing and captivating experience, capable of sapping hours of your time, and even the worst "1337 g33zers" abusing voice chat can't spoil the fun you'll have with it.

    Counter-Strike: Source is, once you've gained a knack for it, the most consistently rewarding and surprising team-based shoot-'em-up available on the PC today. It's been dressed up nicely for its relaunch in 2004, but it wasn't broken, and Valve hasn't fixed it.
