    Its CS:Source with not as clean graphics. There's almost zero reason to get this over 1.6 or source (because both are better games than GO) GO tries to merge the two communities and earn a buck in the process but this game is to cluttered to make it to the big stage imo. A lot of stuff has been reused, like sounds, certain objects is directly takes from cs source which makes the game feelIts CS:Source with not as clean graphics.     The graphics are cool, gameplay is nice, but the services are terrible. The game crashes for me, and doesn't matters how many fixes I look for on the internet, the crashes never stop. This has been a known problem for a long while, and Valve never cared to look at it. Yeah, the system can't see a difference if you were disconnected due an external influence, or if was your decision to click on the Exit Game button). The game has a lot of potential, but I am frustrated enough that I could ask Valve for a refund, if I could.… Expand

    The only thing good about CSGO are the slightly improved graphics and easy game find function, but that is all. CS1.6 was amazing when it came out. Then CSS was weird at first but eventually was just awesome. Finally CSGO comes out and I don't get it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed some parts of this game but overall the gameplay feels like a broken CSS.

    Good game, but there are always wallhackers who ruins the game in Matchmaking and all servers. You can spectate and see the players who have bs k/d keep looking at the wall and pretend to play like honest persons. You can report the players but how long before they get permanent ban?

    Everyone should be aware that due to the distance and the possibly poor internet connection, Laggs will occur anyway. And in games like CS: GO, Laggs = Cheats because depending on how strong an opponent is, they can not be hit and have clear advantages.

    But only money counts here, as long as players spend money on CS: GO Valve doesn't really care.

    For these reasons I can not recommend the game to anyone who does not like to play with cheaters and camps.

    Although this is counter strike, its not a good counter strike. This game is full of a bunch of call of duty players now, and the gun play is pretty bad. I miss the classic counter strike: source style. Sneak around, and have a good team strategy, now it's just run and gun, and have people threaten to ddos you for being good.     In my opinion an overrated fps that doesn't bring anything new to the genre and is not particularly better than other similar games. The gameplay in general can be fun, but maybe not enough to make true lovers of the fps genre stay for more than 30 hours (cult fans coming from CS:Source might play for the rest of their lives though), the UI is simple and sufficient, the maps are goodIn my opinion an overrated fps that doesn't bring anything new to the genre and is not particularly better than other similar games.     Overall a lot of fun- BUT so many bugs! Mouse disappearing, crosshair disappearing, crashing of the game, etc. It is a bit ridiculous. I expected a game with such high ratings to be more stable than this............

    I would rate higher but unless you are playing with a group of friends, you run the risk of being abused by other players--Don't get me wrong, my experience is predominantly positive BUT when you are unlucky-enough to be stuck with that type of people i just want to turn my computer off.

    Counter Strike Global Offensive gives the player the typical two options for teams. Terrorists, and counter terrorists. Upon obtaining a kill, or respawn, the player is given newer weapons to hasten an objective. Both team obtain their own different variant of weapons to deal with the opposing force during the many maps they include during gameplay.

    I am not gonna lie this game is pretty fun and has a unique feel unlike any other fps shooter I have played. The problem is the people that play the game and the community. I have had friends and teammates cuss me out and yell at me for the simplest things. Very rarely will you find a team that will not yell at you. Decent game if it wasn't for the community.

    I really wanted to love this game, but I simply can't. The community is terrible, the game is filled with bugs and glitches, some of these bugs even make the game unplayable. Most of these bugs and glitches have been around for months and still haven't been fixed. Game is full of cheaters and smurfers, and for some reason they thought it was a good idea to put a **** of rng into the game.I really wanted to love this game, but I simply can't.     I don't know what they did to this game, but since I played it at launch, I don't know why they changed it. They had a really good arena shooter that was far more superior than call of duty, battlefield, or anything at the time. The gun accuracy was changed to not even conform to the crosshair's positioning.     What can I say to CS:GO that not almost everybody knows...well, it now pushes one to purchase nonsense ingame weapons, which were for free at prior versions (as mods). But mainly CS:GO has a bad problem with cheaters, they are everywhere and it seems, that valve does not react as they could.

    You see, in 2015 Valve added a ''feature'' that makes it so that you must be level 3 to play competitive. not too bad, right? well to get to level three you must play casual. a 10v10 MADNESS of people not working together, Screaming in their mics calling eachother names, or hackers. it took me TWO WEEKS to get to level three because most of the time I refused to play casual and when I did, it was the most cancerous lobbies i've ever experienced. but, hey! once you escape the hell that is casual, it's smooth sailing. right? WRONG! In 2016 Valve added another ''feature'' called "Prime Mathmakīng". you simply add your phone number to your account and then you can only play against other prime members. prime was made to eliminate people's second accounts used for hacking and smurfing. (smurfing is when you purposefully de rank your account so you can play against people worse than you, scumbag thing to do in my opinion but all to their own.) The only problem is you have to be level 21 to use prime. so, since everyone else has prime it takes FOREVER to find a match and when you do... YOU HAVE TO GO AGAINST THE HACKERS AND SMURFS THEY'RE TRYING TO GET RID OF. Valve treats new players like how they treat cheaters.

    The only thing i would recomend this game for is the COMMUNITY MADE GAMES. In my opinion THE ONLY THING GOOD ABOUT THIS GAME IS THE COMMUNITY MADE GAMES    … Expand

    Don't go for the hype is a very bad game that looks good because of esports and youtube videos. In fact this game is the worst multiplayer shooter besides Call of Duty. And you can't make money if you don't invest at least a couple hundres of dollars first. And the casino sites are rigged this game is just a massive waste of time and money for 95% of the players!

За победы ты получаешь звания. Дальше золотого калаша будет много читеров, поэтому будет трудно. Физика стрельбы ущербная. Чтобы убить с калаша в голову надо противнику в ного стрелять.     If you're a fan of Source games that involve repeating the same round over and over again, buy this game ASAP. But if you're like me and aren't a fan of this series, don't go out and buy this. Also, what's with the crouch jumping in source games? I don't know. Anyway, I do have one good thing to say about CS:GO. It's a playable game for about an hour or two. And then you hear 7 kids speaking at one time, and your ears melt.

Valve instead of focusing on performance and bug fixing adds useless paid content like graffitis. Also, weapons balance is always broken and whenever they fix it players have to learn how to use certain guns again.
    Because of The Game's popularity, it's full of cheaters, scammers and    I have mixed feelings on Counter Strike Global Offensive mostly because of its updates and community. Valve instead of focusing on performance and bug fixing adds useless paid content like graffitis. Also, weapons balance is always broken and whenever they fix it players have to learn how to use certain guns again.
    Because of The Game's popularity, it's full of cheaters, scammers and rude people, mostly because of skins. The ranking system is unfair too, which makes the people judge you based on skins and rank instead of your ability to play.
    But I have to admit that the game is really competitive and someone may don't mind its mistakes because of its competitive scene and feel.
    Besides, there are plenty of community servers with different game modes that can be really enjoyable to anybody with friends.
    I can only recommend to people who love competing and/or have friends who they can play with.    … Expand

I know that being unforgiving is a very appealing trait for a lot of people, but I think it's just not what I seek in my games. I like having brutal mechanics in single-player games more, as in that scenario the blame can not be put on your teammates, but on the game. The brutal unforgiving nature of CS:GO unfortunately just makes the entire community a toxic crater of cancer, which makes it only really fun to play with a 5-man.

    Playing MM as a solo is nearly impossible. Always one stupid become your teammate. Also, the CS:2 update is going to be late. If Valorant didn't show up, our beloved Source 2 update would never come out.

    At least while playing with 4 friends, this game is still fun. Not fun as CS:S, but anyways.

    I used to really enjoy this game, however the game has always had major flaws that have never been fixed. Their ability to ban cheaters is very lackadaisical, and their ability to keep growing making new maps, or keeping players interested has been a struggle. The only reason why I give this game a 5 is because of the gun play. It's very skill based, not as much tactical based.     Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is basically the same old CS, but with improved graphics and there are new modes in the game, such as Battle Royale, Partners and many others. Cons of the game - donation, community, shooting, expensive weapon skins.
    Do I recommend playing it? Well, I don’t know, decide for yourself to be honest, I am neutral towards CS GO, but I do not like CS GO because    Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is basically the same old CS, but with improved graphics and there are new modes in the game, such as Battle Royale, Partners and many others.     Some cheaters, bad Valv anti-cheat, nothing new. A patrol that can ban an ordinary player, such cases have occurred. With the release of the free version, there are much more cheaters, even at prime. New players will leave, because some cheaters, like old players who have played in CS since 2012, even since 2011.     The goose that lays the Golden eggs. One of the few games that allow you to earn not only developers, but also simple users.
    I don't like this game, but I still admire its brilliant marketing. Even if you don't care about skins, this game will teach you to love them.

    This game is okay, if you like competitive games. CS:GO is really only a better looking update to the older Counter-Strikes. I personally prefer games like Rainbow Six Siege, but this game isn't bad either. It's just average.

It has terrible optimization, poor hitbox, low tick rate on competitive servers and forced smoothing - if you are using raw input and high input lag built into the game, even it is competitive. Also they made terrible decision to go f2p, it was already cheap. It is completely infested with hackers and ruined! Because of skins! Which don't belong intoI was supreme class in this.     This game is perfect for salt mining, as a person who don't like it, it's hard to stay calm. And yeah the 2016 youtube invasion with "Hey guys let me show you my hvh settings". I was supreme until they showed up.

    The definition of an "average fps shooter". Nothing more, nothing less. I like the against bots mode for offline but that is it. It's meh overall.

    My first entry to the CS games. I did not really enjoy it because IMO there was only one enjoyable map to play on. Also, I am not really a fan of online FPS games; therefore, I did not have so much fun playing.

    The competitive nature of the game was a thorn in my side. This thorn is personal, but it does affect my feelings about this game. See, winning is very important to all that play this game. Many people are playing, so the competitive nature is given a spotlight. I just could not match against anyone in this game. It was not that I did not play long enough, I mean 165 hours is a long time to me. Raised on 007 Nintendo shooters in late 1990's, I know I am a competent FPS gamer. I have come to terms with a tremendous ping rate, since I live on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean: Hawaii. Hawaii has the highest ping of any US state (2022 data) because of its physical distance from the Main Land. I do not see this changing anytime soon, because you cannot bring the islands closer to the Main Land. This CS:GO game is all about accuracy; you have to align a target with a player by using the mouse. However, if you live in a state with high ping, you will not beat the other guy with 20 ms. It will not happen, I feel, regardless of my skill level. I was about 80 ms and it just was too slow to enjoy this highly precise game. I played the game with a shotgun, something where precision was not needed. However, even then, one has to react when turning corners. A Hawaii ping will not work with this game at all, leaving me with a bad feeling. If I lived somewhere with a 10 - 20 ms ping, I am sure this game would be a green eight or nine. Personally, I have to review it as a 5 - because the game relies far too much on ping to be successful. Yes, I am sure if I played the game for 2000 or even 1000 hours I would be good enough to hold my own... but I just didn't see the benefit to that as I was pretty crushed. If you generally have a high ping when playing video games, do yourself a favor and do not play this game. Everything will rely on that low ping, so do not waste your time.    … Expand

    Onto gameplay, very bad. Hit detection is bad, gun balance is not there, hitboxes seem to not work often enough. The radial buy menu is horrid for quick navigation and a total time waster. I played on low-ping servers but have to say this game took the lessons learned from Counterstrike Source then threw them away and done enough things different for only the sake of change. The maps are proof of this, they are either the same but with bloom added to hurt your eyes or they are worse with little changes meant to spice things up but actually tone things down.

    Many people who never played CS 1.6 or CS:S before will probably find this game alright at $15, I find it a waste of $15. Put the money to something better, catch BF3 on sale at $30 and you will get much much more. This game is shaping up to be a failure and echoes of the beta show a team that only patches the game for sake of keeping up appearances.    … Expand

Good gosh, I found I got more headshots by aiming at a person's CHEST than actually aiming at their HEAD. THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

    There is a serious lack of new content. It's basically a modded CS:S. There is only a handful of new weapons and maps.

    And now, the graphics. The graphics are simply terrible. The game looks 10 years old. The animations look stupid, the textures are low-res, and the lighting, oh the terrible lighting; all the maps look completely dull because of it. Almost all shadows have the same boring shade of grey. It's as if someone forgot to add proper lighting to most areas. Maps like cs_militia arguably look worse than they did in CS:S, back in 2004.

    The sound design is odd. For some reason, they've mixed the low quality weapon sounds from the previous games with new, high quality sounds. The result does not sound realistic, or appealing.

    The 'having your knife out makes you run faster' thing is really stupid.

    Oh, and one last thing: Why is there an in-game marketplace where you can spend REAL MONEY on weapon skins? Are you telling me they spent time on making cosmetic items so that they could charge cash for them, instead of, oh I don't know, making a decent game? There are items that cost hundreds of dollars, They don't even do anything to affect gameplay, they're just for looks. This is not a F2P game. It costs $15, and they seriously charge extra money for lame weapon skins.

    Despite the above, the game can (sometimes) still be fun. It's just an overall mediocre game. It really isn't worth $15, so wait for a sale if you buy it at all.    … Expand

    Same as CS:S but with new graphics. There might be more changes under the hood but they aren't noticeable to me after hours of playing it. If you haven't played any Counter-Strike before then pick this up. Otherwise stick with what you have already because this is just consolified CS:S.

This is just the same old game, same old maps, the weapons dont have anything new or different going for them - in fact - they seem less fun to use. Theres a few new modes but nothing ground breaking. Unfortunately I am not satisfied with Valve's recent move to make CSGO free to play, and to add Battle-royal game mode (Danger Zone) to the game. It would have been better to add a separate version of Counter-Strike: Danger Zone to the Steam Store and toCSGO is a great game that has been around for over 6 years now and is still being updated with new content, I am very grateful for that! Unfortunately I am not satisfied with Valve's recent move to make CSGO free to play, and to add Battle-royal game mode (Danger Zone) to the game.     Better graphics and that's it, every week they update-it, now it has been over one year and a half, and they still haven't finished with the updates. Same bugs as in Source, even new ones, but in the end it's not made by Valve, Valve only came with the engine, it's Hidden Path, the ones who screwed Counter-Strike: Source, in the first place.

    Meh. I played CS when it was in Beta and mod in the 90's and played it for years in to Source. This doesn't show any real improvements and appears to be just cashing in on the name. I admit I'm tired of the series but the maps are even still the same. This is one old horse.

    I am a long time CS fan and I'm very serious when I say that every new version of CS is less and less fun. From a fast paced CQB game to a "click the head" flash game with better graphics.

    - You could needed to focus on a small amount of things at the same time (equivalent to mental-average memory capacity of players).
    - No "levels" (BF/COD) is needed, hit play - and play!

    How does it relate to CS:GO, other competing games and also CS:1.6?
    - Other games' strengths aren't a head-2-head sport-game like CS. The maps are bigger, the multitasking is different, the amount of players are higher, no vehicles in CS (etc).

    You see, and agree about simplicity? CS is all about it! Not flying airplanes or driving a tank. Good that we've got it down. Then you also understand that with less features - each feature becomes really important.

    So when Valve's story writers decide to decrease the mag of the "CS:1.6 game community's" favourite weapon and at the same time "delete" your 9 years old gun control-skills from CS:1.6:

    1. Does it make people happy? No, not really.
    2. Does it make the game better for the average players? No! Not really.
    3. Will it make people buy a 4th failed game in the series (Failed: CS:CZ, CS:S. CS:GO)? Absolutely not.

    Then we all read online about this being the world's most played game currently, using that as a benchmark for that Valve actually took the right decisions. Think again, if you have ever played with data in Cognos, Qlik, Excel -whatever- you realize that there are always more dimensions to the data.
    - You are actually comparing the time of 1.6 when the world barey had internet or a dual-core CPU!!! What Valve SHOULD BE THINKING IS: "We realize that we lost (=revenue) to COD, BF, WOW, LOL, etc. Now we have X things to accomplish so we can GeT_RiGht! again."

    What is actually missing from creating history again with the series is:
    1. Exact damage as CS:1.6 (CS:GO is all about headshots).
    2. Exact same gun control as CS:1.6.
    3. Exact same hitboxes as CS:1.6 - CS:GO is weird and more random (harder to learn for skilled/frequent players).
    4. Choice of keeping simple UI-format (pre-game+in game menus+tab+CROSSHAIR!).
    5. T is red, CT is blue as CS:1.6.
    6. Players raw-posture's and coloring as CS:1.6.
    7. Give silenced colt (with 30-mag) a more raw sound.
    8. The standard-voice snippets - really? Did you never play Half-Life 1? Get real - sound like a boss. Get rid of the Supermario-feeling.
    9. Exact same reload/weapon switch timings.
    10. Cooler weapons movement for: Colt, AK and Knife.

    - Oh my lord, I can't think of how LOVELY this would be. AND HOW MUCH I WOULD PAY FOR IT!

    Keeping stickiness with the old+current player base:
    - CS:1.6 damage, gun control and hitboxes.

    Keeping simplicity:
    - Hiding all the bloat-UI guff, (keep the new features, just don't splash them in my face)

    Valve 1: Why not try with a beta? I mean 1,2,3, 7 & 9 (above) might only be configurations and NO NEW DEVELOPMENT. A couple of mandays of getting the feel for it. Google "SpawN" - he can help you.
    Valve 2: Why don't you ask some of the pro gamers instead of bribing them to play CS:GO?
    Valve 3: Google, Apple and Microsoft are all working to remove bloat from all platforms - Do you really think it's right to add it?
    Valve 4: One of usabilitie's core pillars is recognition. I.eg. the first time you used an iOS/Android-device, you knew where to click in order to open the phone menu. Think a little bit about the same thing here: Usability (recognition), stickiness (keeping skills from 9 years), product positioning (don't copy ugly things from COD/BF).

    In order to not be a complete **** I'll list what I think was very good with CS:GO:
    1. Graphics.
    2. New weapons (some should be invoke less dmg tho). 3. Valve setting your "level" to match you with equally skilled gamers - nobody likes to wait for a camping noob when you've planted the bomb, and the noob is camping in spawn. 4. Without server mods - you see dmg made to killer (damage made overall is missing). 5. Colt and AK now has the same numbering when buying weapons. 6. Movement recreation is fair enough. 7. AWP is working as expected. 8. Money (reward) system. 9. New maps! Community created. 10. Without server mods - votes are working well. 11. The ingame map - love it. 12.     This game is laggy and gets boring after a while that is why I dont like it. My friends convince me to get it but I dont want to waste 15 bucks on it.

    Basically everything I dislike from a shooter. Very few movement (staying next to a box for 10 hours), a shop-based weapon system, and a terrible match-making, I understand it's a team-game but the balance in the teams is just terrible and the game is ultra-boring after a while, both because they never make maps rotations and because the game is just simply bad.

    60% of players don't take the game seriously then they don't do any kills. 40% of players hasn't a microphone or it sucks, then communication is impossible.
    There are not too many cheaters but is full of smurfs.
    All this even in GN rank.

    Back in 2015, (i think) i purchased CS:GO, the gameplay was great, but the community is just awful. i don't understand how people can survive with just a toxic community like CS:GO. it's full of racist, mean, and people who just want to make you angry. CS:S, on the other hand, has somewhat [of] a mix of "Nice & Mean" "fanbase".

    There a lot of cheaters in this game!This is good tactical fps game,but the weapon mechanic and map rotation is bad,lootboxes and prime status mechanic,valve just created a service game with a lot of micro transactions.I can recommed it to play with friends but if youre playing alone that game will be horrible.

    The developers just abandoned the game, servers are trash 64 tick rate, atleast one cheater that don't hide the wallhack well each 5 games and the hackers don't get banned even after so much time have passed(like 5 months after).

    CS:GO used to be great game, Im person who played 5000 hours and I enjoyed this game at start. My first rank was silver 3 and even though I was pretty bad I still enjoyed playing it. I made It to Legendary Eagle Master and then some updates messed this game up and I literally stopped playing it. After 5000 hours I just don't enjoy it. Все выше перечисленное может сделать ощущение того, что данная игра очень плоха, но в CS:GO есть много позитивного. Сообщество игроков этой игры довольно общительное, можно найти новых друзей и так далее. Я могу дальше перечислять плюсы этой довольно хорошей игры.
    Подведем итоги: 1) CS:GO не имеет надежного античита, и вследствие этого мы имеем огромный наплыв читеров. к тому же игра бесплатная и вследствие усугубляется ситуация с читерами. 2) Игра, несмотря на огромное количество токсиков, имеет довольно хорошее коммьюнити, и если в противположной команде есть читер, то команда пытается его исключить из соревновательной игры ( работает не всегда, есть люди, которые сознательно не кикают нечестного игрока).
    Весьма хорошо было бы, если бы Valve применяла блокировку по железу такую как hardware indentification BAN (HWID), т.к обойти многие читеры не смогли бы( если они не знают способы обхода данной блокировки)
    Я ставлю 4 балла из 10 данной игре.    … Expand

    На данный момент кска является лютейшим болотом, игра работает супер отвратно (даже quantum break выдавал на моем компьютере больше фпс)

    If it wasn't for the toxic playerbase, the need to win every match and gambling traps, it would get a higher score. The shooting is nice and feels cool to have weapons that aren't laser beams, but the fact that every match is a gamble to not be put with raging idiots leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Valve should get rid off the votekick and lootboxes and the game gets a higher score from me

Maps are tiny and exactly the same as previous games. Casual games are usually filled with 2 or 3 players who are insanely good and the rest are just canon fodder.     First the casual side. The game was suppose to come out with a zombie mode. They decided to early release the game and put in zombie mode later. The lack of flashlight.     The competitive side. The game sound is impossible to pinpoint exact player location. The lack of tagging and flinching. The money reward is messed up. $900 per p90/shotgun kill. Only receiving $50 for awp kills.

    Overall a lot of the community was ignored on the forum. They pushed a game out that wasn't complete. A huge disappointment for a 1.6 player. The game is still definitely an improvement over source.    … Expand
