    Valve did it again!

    Counter Strike: Global Offensive is supposed to improve from it's older brothers Counter Strike(1.6), and Counter Strike: Source. CS:GO has been my favorite game ever since I got it. I've flawlessly played matches with minor issues(Which have been fixed by Valve, Who are also doing a great job with all the updates!) At first I was worried that CS:GO would be a    Valve did it again!

    CS:GO has been my favorite game ever since I got it. I've flawlessly played matches with minor issues(Which have been fixed by Valve, Who are also doing a great job with all the updates!) At first I was worried that CS:GO would be a major disappointment, but after going into the game, I noticed that Valve stayed with the same formula as the rest of the CS series!! With updates being released almost Daily, at an amazing cost of $15, CS:GO in my opinion was a major success. CS:GO has released skins for your guns(Which in no way effects how effective they are) All the weapons are balanced, new guns! (Tec-9, Cz 75, mag 7, Sawed off, Negev) Valve personally has been doing a great job in my opinion keeping up with what the players want.(Valve re added the M4A1 and USP after both were replaced with M4A4, and P2000, which now you are allowed to switch between!) In all CS:GO at the price of $15 is a steal, and I suggest this to ANY FPS gamer!    … Expand

    This game does counter strike well. I wasn't around for the era of 1.6 so this is a good introduction to the series for me. I have fun playing this game.

    Although the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is so ambitious, it cannot reach its succeed like the Counter-Strike.however, we can see Valve had put a lot of effort to make this game to be perfect.In addition, it is a good game.

    I am a old 1.6 cs gamer. and i can honestly say, that i really like this take on it. still the best competetive FPS ever made in my opinion. And the scene is just getting bigger and bigger. One think to mention is the "new" Skin system, which in first i thought was a bit lame. but now i find myself sitting with crossed fingers, when opening skin cases (which you can get after matches,I am a old 1.6 cs gamer. and i can honestly say, that i really like this take on it. still the best competetive FPS ever made in my opinion. And the scene is just getting bigger and bigger.     Just perfect a real Counter Strike game like 1.6 or CSS. Come back to real FPS in esport. Moreover this game is realy not expansive. He is the most epic FPS make by Valve and for esport: 250 000$ for dreamhack, 250 000$ for IEM... Just epic

    Good game that is updated regularly with new weapon skins and new maps, there has been a major upgrade a while ago that introduces lots of map that are new to CS:GO. It's also famous for competition and watching tournaments.

    Added game modes are fun, add a bit of spice to the game, but Classic CS is what I came for, and that's where the game shines. I feel like the ranked system should have a smaller map pool that changes every week, as it is if I select every map before queuing I keep getting thrown into Dust 2, because that was and still is the most favored CS map by the community. Would be nice if they did something to force people out of their comfort zones in competitive mode, to me that's the whole point.

    Aside from that, still has dedicated servers for free, better hit detection and far fewer latency issues than modern titles that cost $60 and charge you for every map pack they release. The only reason I ever stop playing Valve games is because like everything else, I get eventually get bored and feel the need to try something new, but I always come back to Valve titles. They just do it so much better and give so much more value than everyone else in the industry, and this was even the case before they started earning that Steam money. If they ever flip the switch like Blizzard did, PC gaming will truly be dead.    … Expand

    When it came out it was full of bugs and simple.
    Everyday I'd get here with an update to download, and each update the game would go better.
    Awesome gameplay, servers, badges, etc.

    Recommended for sure! Addiction guaranteed! (mostly on competitive matches!)

    10/10 ruined my life, but there is some wall hackers and aimbotting. but the overwatch system takes most of them out.

Sure, there are games like Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, and more, but CS:GO is by far a long-lasting shooter in its genre. The release date was almost 3 years ago, and in the time span between 2012 and now, there had been, I believe, 2 Battlefields, almost 3 Calls to Duty, and almost 2 angel ringsThis game is, by far, the BEST shooter I have ever played in my whole gaming life. Sure, there are games like Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, and more, but CS:GO is by far a long-lasting shooter in its genre. The release date was almost 3 years ago, and in the time span between 2012 and now, there had been, I believe, 2 Battlefields, almost 3 Calls to Duty, and almost 2 angel rings (Halo). Look at the game now. It had 6 major updates, dozens of eSports teams (like the notorious fnatic or NiP), and 4 major tournaments, all acknowledged by Valve. In fact, a 5th tournament is in August, when the game turns 5 years old. After 3 years you would think a game would die, right? WRONG. In fact, CS:GO will save you a lot of money, because it's still being played. A COD game costs $60 USD (38.10 GBP), with yearly installments. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is 1/4 of that, with only one purchase (excluding weapon skins). That is a long-term savings right there.

    In conclusion, CS:GO is a cheap and great FPS game, and everyone should try it.    … Expand

    Brilliant old-school shooter has convinced us that Counter-Strike franchise is in no way to be retired or forgotten.

    Great game. It was a little rough around the edges when it came out a few years ago but not it's playing great. Competitive mode is where the fun. If that isn't for you there are other game modes. Also, there is a strong community base. There are thousands of custom maps and dozens of other game modes to play. For 15 dollars I've had way more fun playing CS Go than Battlefield 3 or 4.

    Game play is supreme, dynamic gun fights encounters galore!

    Great job development team in bringing the popular custom maps and integrating them into something easily consumable.

    I played since CS 1.6 and this Game is a Huge improvement.
    Better Graphics better Sound, Better Hostage System, better Weapon Balance and finally a good Hitbox.
    And some new Game modes that are Fun too

    e-Sports can't be rated. It's competitive so it shouldn't be compared to traditional games or what we expect from a video-game. Therefore it shouldn't be rated, you don't set a score for traditional sports like football or basketball too, so why would you rate e-Sports titles like this one? This game was never meant to be a single player game or beginner friendly. Unfortunely it is a teame-Sports can't be rated. It's competitive so it shouldn't be compared to traditional games or what we expect from a video-game.     5. Again the community: in competitive mode, you can play with **** that are annoying, but that cs, so...BUT, also play with great teammate, that have fun and coordinate with you so you can win.
    6. The amount of weapons, there are tones of them, and all are different, choose wisely

    In overall, don't listen to the rage dude that could not event fire a shot and got raped on their first round, Counter Strike is hard game, not easy to understand and to master. I am talking about strategical/mental skillZ. You can be super good at headshot or dragging, but if you can't strategize or work with your team you are screwed in this game.     First Counter Strike game I've ever played, and albeit it had been a frustrating start getting used to the immense learning curve of the game, a couple of Youtube videos later and a bit of practice and I was fine. If you complain about how difficult the game is this is absolutely not, NOT Call of Duty. Excellent game and at a very reasonable $15.

    Eine starke Verbesserung zu dem Vorgänger "Counter-Strike: Source" - nach über 100 Spielstunden noch immer eines meiner am liebsten gespielten Spiele, in meiner Gesamten Steam-Bibliothek, dass zum Teil auch wegen dieser großartig witzigen Community!

    This is how you make an online shooter. Counter-Strike has dominated genre forever. Activision and EA has a lot to learn from Valve. In my opition we don't even need another Counter-Strike. CS: GO is so perfect and there is microtransactions which Valve makes money from.

    i see a lot of people complain that they cant just run around and hold down the mouse button, to you i say gb2cod/bf/halo. csgo and cs in general requires knowledge of each weapon and how that weapon behaves in certain situations.

    if you're looking for a fps that rewards skill, knowledge and strategy then csgo/cs is for you.

    the only down side to this game is the cheating and smurfing in comp mode. if valve could implement a better cheat detection system this game would be an 11/10.    … Expand

I like the fact that you can't sprint. you have to take out your knife to run faster. Graphically it looks good, and it doesn't take a godly computer to play it. I do like the system for banning the Hackers, "Overwatch" because it gives the people who are moderately good and better a chance to help the community by submitting the forum that they are or are not hacking. I am also not the best player out there. In conclusion I would say that CS: GO is worth $15, but some thing can be improved… Expand

It's not that the developers are lazy or no longer posses the skills to be creative, it's the fact that this game is so loved, so already perfect, that anything other than aesthetic updates would be a crime against humanity.

    Other than that, what else is there to really say about 'Counterstrike' that hasn't already been said? It's the game that got millions of 90's kids to harass their parents for faster modems and better video cards. It's the game that kept myself and many of my friends up over countless nights all because the server '24/7 Militia' was a real thing that existed. It's the game that coined the term 'spray and pray'. It's the game that played perfectly fine on 56K modems way before cable internet even existed. You get the idea. Counterstrike is great and if you haven't played it yet, you probably should. I for one know that I'll never get the sound of 'Counter Terrorists' and 'Terrorists Win' out of my mind, and I'm totally okay with that.    … Expand

    This is the best Counter Strike TO DATE. They added two forms of gun game, excellent graphics, fun gameplay, a better buying menu + more guns! Defiantly worth the $15 (cheap!)

    One of the best counter-strike games(Or fps for that matter). It keeps it original simplicity with some additional new features.

    This is a simply amazing game for the competitive players and their casual counterparts with an item system like in any other recent Valve game (DOTA 2, Team Fortress 2) that adds a lot more to the game.

For example, you just played a competitive match, you lost, cause your silver 2, after the banter that happens at the score screen you come to main menu only to realize you are a silver 1 now.     I played a lot in Counter Strike 1.6 and it's rly similar to it, so when CS:GO was released i bought it instantly. I love that game, especially matchmaking mode its sth what is a point in that game :)

    This is a skill/teamwork based fps with a constantly growing community, a cheap game that offers you a hole deal, no dlc or things like that, the only think that you can pay for are weapon skins, which only affect the look of the weapon, nothing else, and apart of the oficial servers you have the comunity servers, where unofficial game-modes can be played, like surfing, bhop, mini-games, etc.

    games looks good even on its lowest aside from some shady textures here and there
    keep in mind you cant jump into the game blasting heads because the game is not easy to play
    good choice of weapons (and skins?)
    there are remastered maps and original maps also exist

    In my opinion, CS appeals to both the casual player and the competitive player, having multiple game modes and an infinite amount of maps to choose from (considering that the players can create their own maps and game modes on the Steam Workshop) without ever having to pay extra. The only thing you can pay for are skins. Re-textured versions of the guns you already own. You don't have to have skins to play the game at all. But you will eventually get one skin. Then two.     The only downside I have discovered is its cases that slowly drain away your money in hopes of getting a 'red' or a 'knife'.

    Putting all that aside I can't help but have fun with this game with its competitive but also casual nature. I give this a 10 not perfect but it sure comes close and definitely my second favorite 'FPS' next to Team Fortress 2!    … Expand

    The graphic of the viewmodels is very good. the maps arent so good because there are old, but they will be updated in the next time. So BUY it. Its AWESOME

    I've played Counter-Strike for almost 8 years and Counter-Strike Global Offensive surely is an amazing sequel for the franchise. Frequent updates, new game-modes and now with Skill Rank system, the Competitive mod is better than any game i ever played.

    This game is freaking Awesome! It capture all the real (almost) atmosphere of being in battle. The guns a and skins are really incredible. The competitive mode is a real competitive because you have to talk and coordinate with your teammates, and make it 5v5 is more easy to play and coordinate.

    The best First Person Shooter of all time. CS:GO's Matchmaking system is perfect. Guns are very well balanced. The active duty maps are really well balanced. The other modes in CS:GO such as Arms Race or Demolition I don't find particularly fun.

    If you like shooters this is the game for you. And it also surprisingly really cheap I would buy it even if it would cost 20 or 30 dollars. It’s in my taste one of the best games ever and is better then other games that cost more like Overwatch.

    It is a very amazing game. The in game matchmaking system is very consistent, and the new updates to the game significantly improved the performance and hit reg. Im my opinion it is a very good game, and the new maps look amazing. I have personally spent 1700h on it and i am mge. Всем советую не тратиться на скины, да это красиво, но куда ценее будет скин который вы не купили, а получили бесплатным способом) я накопил скинов так на 200грн (500руб), когда наскучила кс продал и купил другую игру, так я окупил кс в два раза, реально можно заработать деньги если у вас вЧто-бы там не говорили что в кс играют пид**сы, но все таки с друзьями играть ну очень весело.     What a great fps game. I've played this game so much that i find only Valorant has a similar aiming system, which is the best in my opinion. Despite some hackers in the game and some toxic people that you will find in any other game, CSGO is by far the best Shooter game of all, i'm speaking as a active player since CS 1.6

    Pros: 1) Nice graphical tweaks to old and tired maps give the game a fresh feel. 2) A nice jump in and play system which makes it easy to get a server without the hassle of having to find one. 3) 2 new game modes off the bat, "Arms Race" is a simple gun game type scenario where as you kill, you get a new weapon

    This game is probably the best fps around right now, pretty tactical. Toxic players and cheaters exist but just like in every fps. Sure, playing online can be very difficult at the beginning(I am not very good too), but you can still have fun in modes like Arms Race. Excellent game overall.
