Combat Monsters does have some good ideas and mixes genres well, but the move from mobiles to the PC should have brought some updates and changes that have not been implemented, and the experience is poorer because of that.

The reviewer from softpedia got it all wrong an if you listen to him you'll be missing out on on of the best card collecting game since MTGThe reviewer from softpedia got it all wrong an if you listen to him you'll be missing out on on of the best card collecting game since MTG itself.

If ever there was a spiritual successor to MTG THIS is it. It's got everything I always wanted in a MTG setting. In fact it's basically Etherlords and MTG combined all in an arena type of play instead of that silly adventure map.

It takes you down to business bright an early. Fun fun fun and challenging as hel is about the most I can say about this game. I even shelled out $9.99 for the tripler (a must have if you're serious about collecting cards).

Here's what you do. Buy the 3x at the first chance you get. Then don't spend any of your winnings on chests early. Just play until you have collected 15000 credits and buy your first good character the Devil or Demon if you want to call it that. It's pretty clear sailing with it until you get to the hard campaigns. You'll have collected a chit load of FREE credits by then and can start spending them on the ACTUAL cards as they give you sort of an album of cards you have or can buy with your in-game money. Find out which cards are the best for PVP and buy them with your credits. You'll be able to afford a lot of Legendary's and have most of your common an uncommons from the free chests they give you anyways. There's a LOT of FREE chests throughout the campaign.

Now, what I'm sure you most want to know, Is it pay to win? Well, in a word YES. BUT, it's not that expansive like so many others. For a mere $9.99 you can get 450 cards with 70 of them being Legendary. That's a lot of Legendary's. bunch of rares and commons an un-commons of course.
I mean afterall the devs have to make some money off this game and what they charge is a pittance say compared to a lot of other copy cat games of MTG.

If you get that tripler though you'll save yourself a lot of cash because you get more in game currency to buy cards with. Most cards are pretty cheap but of course the Legendary's are expensive. You don't need every Legendary to win. Just a few certain ones that you'll be able to afford if you didn't get them along the way while playing the campaign.

Let me put it this way. If you like Infinity Wars, you're gonna love this game. So much better than Infinty Wars in so many ways.

I HIGHLY recommend this game and if you know me at all you know that I HATE most games.

Don't forget to buy the tripler!!
