    The return of the Modern Warfare franchise finally came and what a comeback.

    Graphics: This game is deserving of the title of 2019's most beautiful title. With near photo-realistic characters and lighting as well as using Infinity Ward's next-gen engine, it's a 10/10 in this aspect. Sound: The audio fidelity in this game is like no other.     Graphics: This game is deserving of the title of 2019's most beautiful title. With near photo-realistic characters and lighting as well as using Infinity Ward's next-gen engine, it's a 10/10 in this aspect.

    Sound: The audio fidelity in this game is like no other. Fully customizable audio quality, music perfect for each level and perfect sound design for all weapons, they did an amazing job.

    Campaign: The black sheep of the user reviews, but I chose to believe this comes from people who didn't actually pay attention to the game, it surely is controversial, but saying that the whole point of the game is "Russia bad" is absolute nonsense, hell, the game itself says that in the ending, but I won't spoil. Containing stealth invasion missions at the beggining, turning to open field combat and ending on the highest possible note, it's the highest selling point of this game.

    Multiplayer: The charm I thought was lost long ago in Black Ops II finally returns. Full boots on the ground combat, fully customizable weapons and all classic gamemodes returned. Of course, it's not perfect, the noob-tube became the RPGs and C4's, but I guess it's part of the old MW2 charm.

    Warzone: When another Battle-Royale mode was announced, I thought of how big of a letdown Blackout was, but boy-oh-boy was this good. Custom class integration, the gulag fights, an amazing open map that joins all multiplayer maps, what's not to love?

    Co-op: It's a nice addition, but a far cry from what the MW3 spec-ops was, this is a mere imprint of the shadow of it's former self, probably the low point of the game and what I spent less time playing.

    Overall, if you crave that old nostalgia from the original MW franchise or the old Black Ops days, this game is an absolute must-play.    … Expand

    Originaly I ranked it 4/10 but after 60h+ in MP I just can't. This is not Call of Duty. Skill based matchmaking in quick matches(this sh*t belongs to ranked only for those e-sport wannabe sweats), loud footsteps, OP ghost perk, bad minimap combined with terrible chaotic maps in general    MP review only, could not care less about whole SP, COOP or evil Russians in fictional COD game...
    Originaly I ranked it 4/10 but after 60h+ in MP I just can't. This is not Call of Duty. There is high potential, but its being killed by incompetent and arrogant developers who don't listen and make their game for CoD haters instead of CoD fans. COD Ghosts multiplayer is masterpiece compared to this, honestly I never played worse CoD... ever... and I have every CoD from first MW to now. This is supposed to be noob friendly according to IW? It's absolute opposite, it's most sweaty, frustrating and casual/noob unfriendly game I've ever played. Fast paced arcade shooter?     Again bad Russians(i am from Russia), this is so terrible, why are you transferring US problems to Russia. But campaign is good, multiplayer - skip this sh*t, spec ops - 7/10(hard for me, 1 map in classic spec ops -_-)

The maps are unbalanced, and spawn trapping has never been more prominent. I’ve sunk thousands (yes, thousands) of hours into multiple COD’s, and this one is so bad, I created this account just to leave this review. I don’t know HOWThis is the worst call of duty, ever.     This game is not that good in its current state, there are a lot of problems that make the game not fun to play. If Infinity Ward fixes these issues its a good game, the problem is there is not much flow and the SBMM makes every game feel like my IRL life is on the line.

    The problems I have with the game are:

    - The maps, I get it they wanna do something different than a 3 lane map but these maps are way too big and promote camping.

    - The SBMM, strong SBMM is good but not for a casual gamemode. Atm the casual gamemode is ranked but without you being able to see the ranks and if you do bad for a few games you get put with the no so good players and if you do well again you get put in this campfest. It is really annoying because testing new weapons is just impossible for 5 games.

    - The sound, footsteps are way too loud. This also promotes camping because as a camper you dont make much noise when moving and you can just hear the enemy coming from 3 miles away.

    - The callouts, these just need to be fixed ASAP, what was Infinity Ward even thinking when making these. Everytime you sneak up on someone your character yells ''CONTACT'' or "ENEMY SPOTTED". This wouldnt be a problem if only your team can hear the callouts but unfortunately the enemys can hear them too and it blows your cover every single time.

    - The CO-OP mode is way to hard if you solo queue, why do the enemys have infinite respawns and why do they spawn so **** fast? I also dont understand why the juggernauts are so strong, I understand that they need to be stronger than your avg enemy but these guys just take a century to kill.

    The good things:

    - I really enjoy the campaign, the missions are actually fun and its not completely filled with bs missions and cutscenes.

    - The gunplay is really fun.

    - The graphics are good.

    If you are thinking of buying this game, go for it but dont expect a game with no problems because there are a lot of problems.

    The cutscenes glitch. I waited for a 8GB patch download + time to build shaders only to not have any singleplayer fixes. I need to be online and have the game updated to play singleplayer. The settings are glitchy and sometimes crash the game, or always crash the game unless I run it with admin privileges.

The plot-propaganda, where actions Americans, throw on Russians, for example-the road death plus where decided not write army Burkova, and simply to drag all, that proves the endgame . If you aren't using them, you're going to lose any gunfight since they're too overpowered. Netcode is buggy as hell and the maps are very poor quality.     The game was ok, but after the last patch on 11/9, i am starting to get ping over 120-150ms. I think they close Singapore server or not have enough server there. keep connecting me to Japan server.
    For an FPS game playing over 120 of latency is just a bad idea.

    The game itself is annoying.
    I can do 30 kills in Free For All with 3-4 Deaths.
    The campaign is **** violent and gore.

So if you play prepare to camp or spend all your time flushing full teams out of corners.. People are too scared to move. This makes every multiplayer game a meat grinder where you are trading your death for one or two kills trying to get a full team out of a room while your teammates camp across the map doing nothing.    … Expand

I've never been a huge, or life-long, fan of Call of Duty - and I've much preferred Battlefield up until it went to World War I and II settings - but this one has sparked an interest in the series again. Many people can't even reach the main menu, let alone start the campaign or a multiplayer match.     Wow, all the people claiming racism... almost nothing about the actual game. WELL, Here's some about this pile of dead rats that they call a game;

Trying to play the ground war maps is like attempting to swallow a whole coconut after you superglued it to a live crocodile. The spawn camping on ANY map is something that has been brought up to the support team on many occasions, but they have done absolutely noting to curb it.

    The gun play is completely disastrous. When an SMG is out sniping real sniper rifles and only one gun is OP so pretty much everyone uses it, it's unfathomably unacceptable. But they do nothing to change it.

    The spawn placement needs to be addressed in this stack of dehydrated cockroach wifties as well. You CONSTANTLY spawn in an enemy's retacle, often while they are shooting. There have been a rediculous number of times that I have been killed as a collateral due to spawning on a teammate that they claim is not in combat.

    The sun glare is cool if you like being instantly having a rod of almighty hammers rammed into your eyes the moment you look towards the side of the map the sun is on. Oh. And the side it's on never changes, which puts one team at a complete disadvantage 100% of the time.

    The sound design is abhorrent, what with some people somehow being able to hear footsteps through walls in the next building over while hiding in the fridge when others can't even hear a helicopter loaded with raid sirens and fog horns blasting Guns n' Roses off key rolling up behind them.

    The obvious lying about server latency is unacceptable as well. Telling me there's only 58 milliseconds of ping when it takes well over half a second for point blank rounds to register makes the number given an obvious farce.

    Then there's the issue with the CONSTANT crashing makes it clear that the developers didn't even bother to optimize the game for PC whatsoever. Ever-constant dev errors cause the game to freeze and you have to play a guessing game as to whether you've crashed or if it's going to come back to your eyes bleeding with your character praying for mercy as the other team skullbangs you in rapid succession because, of course, you cannot move when your game is frozen..

    The clear lack of quality assurance testing and the obvious lack of care from the devs make this game a waste of hard-earned money. Save your pennies for the next battlefield. At least they care about what the players say about the game.    … Expand

I get a crash every time I try to load in even though i have controlled that all game files are installed correct plus that all of my drivers are up to date. So at least on my pc there isn't a single player mode. You don't have access to survival because it's exclusive to ps4 for a YEAR. Then we have the multiplayer.     the game is unplayable. it is not a fabulously crafted graphical masterpiece, it is just so poorly optimised that its so horribly hard to run on even low graphic settings despite my pc being able to run better looking games just fine. not to mention the 200+ gb file size which is utterly abysmal.     The multiplayer is broken, worst maps ever on the saga that I don't know how but for the f* campers with their claymores work well. Not to mention the awful respawn in shipment. I don't enjoy whatsoever this game.

    Heartless Mapdesign, unfair deaths, bad hitpoints, to high time to kill, tons of hackers and campers, bad weapons, and the millions of little Fortnitekids milked by Activision for every cent.

    Bought this for the Ray Tracing GFX on my rig, amazing gfx audio is good as well, however to me that's a given in this day and age. The game its standard call of duty which means too many snipers, too many campers and a killcam that can't be turned off. Weapons are varied and good fun,.     Vehicles are pointless people just use them to run people over. Killstreak hardpoint the action is too fast-paced to call them in most of the time. It seems the devs are incapable of learning the failures of the past by not allowing a max number of snipers on each side, giving an option on vehicles.    … Expand

Multiplayer is painful thanks to skill based matchmaking and the devs constantly lying their product. They claimed there would be no skill based matchmaking in Warzone, however players on YouTube have shown with their data that there is no doubt SBMM is in everything. Regardless of your opinion on SBMM, nobody should tolerate being sold a false bill of goods. SBMM is inferior to connection based simply by not providing you with the best connection possible. No further analysis needed. Nobody wants to be playing competitively in 2020 with 60/70+ ms ping. Games from 10+ years ago provided a smoother online experience. The final nail in the coffin for this title is the PC cheaters in Warzone. There appears to literally be no anti cheat in the game. Console players are disabling crossplay, defeating the entire purpose of it existing, and nobody can blame them. This MW should have be been a title for the ages but we were met with straight up lies about the game and a sub par experience.

    FYI Activision has a patent for MTX based matchmaking, that is to say, players who spend money in the game store will be rewarded by being placed in matches with players far below their own skill level. Players who do not pay this literal bribe to have "fun" are punished and used as fodder for the players who do spend money.

    In summary the game has no anti cheat, possible MTX based matchmaking, definite SBMM, mediocre at best story, glitches aplenty, and still has the nerve to harass you with buying gimmicky junk from the store with glorified pop-ups from the 90s on a full price AAA title.

    If players tolerate this behavior, they will have no one to blame besides themselves for future titles. We need to stop submitting to this and start voicing our opinions with our wallets by refusing to pay for this junk.

    This game exists for the sole purpose of squeezing as much money out of gullible players who throw money at shiny cosmetics and swindling players with lies about the games mechanics.    … Expand

    Single-player is fun and engaging enough, but sadly like many previous Call of Duty titles the multiplayer continues to be very childish and twitchy.

I was really surprised that this one actually feels like if the old great ones were made today. Great singleplayer and multiplayer. I don't care too much for co-op and spec-ops. Warzone was also a great addition to this universe.     Playing cod since 2008.
    Played like 200 hours of this game.

    Graphics and animations are good.
    But the game itself isn't enjoyable.

    Campaign gives 0 feelings and multiplayer model is basically hello 2007 but worse.
    Feels like a cheap free2play shooter with modern shaders.

    First of all, I never played COD games before and just overall was not very into FPS. In august 2020 i jumped into warzone and really liked it even so as due to the lack of experience i was sucking a lot. In October 2021 i decided to get myself a base game (with a discount obviously) and almost instantly regretted... not buying it at launch even without discount. Despite of the fact thatFirst of all, I never played COD games before and just overall was not very into FPS. Despite of the fact that game lobbies are not that populated today especially after the release of Vanguard it still does not take a lot of time to find a match and just overall it is not a very big issue (at least yet). As for the campaign...well... i liked it (not going to leave my comment about the Russians thing as i have my own opinion on that matter that should not reflect here).
    Overall this is great game with stunning visuals, sounds and just amazing animations.

    Was definitely sure about my score for it being positive and considering that this one is definitely not perfect (which takes out 10), between 8 and 9 i am stopping on the second one    … Expand

    The game is generally good. Good multiplayer, good pumping of weapons, spectacular scenes in the story mode. But there is one minus that kills the entire story campaign. I am from Russia and I’m sorry that they show so Russian there. What is shown about Russians in the story campaign is not true. This game is VERY overdone with Russophobia. Tired of looking at bad Russians.

    Really bad Maps for Multiplayer, Spawns are bad, too much camping players and unbalanced weapons.

    Only positive things are graphics and the weapon handling.

    Never buy a call of duty again. This was the last one.

Every single one of my friends whom i ve played with, had issues with the game at some point (all of us with high end PCs). А также за кривой респаун в мультиплеере: когда появляешься перед врагом и он убивает тебя.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Easily the best modern call of duty and a strong successor to the good old days of cod 4 and MW2. The review bombing is silly in regards to it portraying Russians bad. If you fools would play through the campaign you'd know that barkov and his men are Roque and the Russian gov disavowed them, teaming up with the America /English team to take him down. The Russian aren't the bad guys, there are just a few Russians who happen to have gone Roque. No one was thinking anything political until someone said ' wow these guys are Russians as antagonists in the American game, how stereotypical'. And put the controller down. Not finishing the story. Grow up guys.… Expand

    One of the best CoD games this console generation, I have had a smooth experience on PC with this as well.

    Technical implementation of the game is very poor. I have pretty high end PC, capable of running every modern game on Ultra-High settings. This game is no exception (when it worked). However, from the beginning and after a few updated, cut-scenes kept breaking, so it was hardly possible to watch them. How such broken game could even be released? Well. Anyway. No error messages, no nothing, you just wait until campaign supposed to be loaded and see desktop again. Seriously, is EVERYTHING what blizzard touches instantly turn into complete technical trash?

    Besides technical issues (which took many months to fix), the game can only offer short single player campaign. Otherwise you supposed to play very dumb, meaningless and unappealing point and shoot multiplayer. This is really doesn't cost the money they ask for the game.    … Expand

    It’s hard to tell why there was so much ado about single-player campaign: controversial topics aside, it’s completely mediocre. On the other hand, the multiplayer mode is one of the best in latest instalments of Call of Duty series. [Issue#241, p.49]

    It’s undeniably well-made albeit controversial part of the series. One that tries to break the mold and open itself to another kind of player. It’s worth of praise, even if just for that. I recommend it especially to Battlefield players – you may be pleasantly surprised. [13/2019, p.50]
