    Every year the same crap with the same crappy graphics, it´s 2011 for gods sake. And the multiplayer, just lol, this wouldn´t be even 15 dollars worth if it was a DLC. Defenetly the last CoD game I bought. Sad but true

    Modern Warfare 3? A new videogame? I was thinking that was a DLC of 70$. You will feel like you've stepped back in time 6-7 years. The graphics are brown and grey and decay-esque, the gun sounds are horrible.

I wasn't troubled too much with the fact that this game was almost a carbon copy of MW2, but it was the little changes that annoyed me the most when they are all piled together. The gun swaying while running is laughable, you actually move a lot slower then compared to MW2 - removing the fluidity of this game while doing so. The music score for the game is garbage compared to MW and MW2, and the campaign is horribly written, stale, and predictable. The only positive thing I have seen is a reduction of grenade launching game play. The graphics are basically the same but personally that doesn't bother me too much. This game was not worth it at all, and Activision / IW made a killing off of this game. You can tell that when they sat down to discuss how they were going to make MW3, they went with the business model of: try to keep everything the same to cut production costs. All in all, I'd recommend staying away from this game. Ignore what the editors for news articles say. This is NOT worth it.… Expand

    Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V. This games deserves a 0. It's a copy and paste, no originality, bull crap singleplayer, same multiplayer. $60 price tage, with multiple $15 rehashed map packs. Game gets a 0.

    Game is utter garbage. Chokepoints, linear progression and predictable AI make the single player doable in the deepest of sleep, and the multiplayer isn't much better. Plays like the ones that came before it, and didn't make any notable improvements. In fact, it got worse. I miss the days of BF2.

    This is not MW3, just MW 2 1/2.

    Is obvious that the reviews in some PC sites are paid.

The campaign(countryside) complétement invalid(useless).     I borrowed this from a friend for about a good 30 minutes before realizing that I may as well have been playing MW2. Nothing. Has. Changed.The fact that they can get away with this is appalling, but it pisses me off. I played the multiplayer and about 5 minutes of the survival and you know what? It sucks. Don't get it.

The multiplayer was even worse, with blatantly imbalanced maps and overpowered weapons in the hands of everyone who played the game before you did. Graphically, it looks like MW2.     This is just another CoD. Nothing new, nothing exciting. Singleplayer is boring as hell (but decently executed, but there are a million shooters out there who do a decent job at singleplayer campaigns) and the multiplayer is just MW 2.5. The baffling thing is that everybody just keeps on buying these updated shooters. Nothing new, so nothing worth spending your hard earned cash on.

When you recycle code from hard working people enough times, fire those hard working people, and still just copy their game: THIS happens. Let's hope MW4 never happens, and maybe, just maybe, Activision can scrape what little decency they have left together, and produce a new Infinity Ward IPAll I have to say is that; this is a long time coming now.     Charging 60 Euros for this is a disgrace: the graphics are outdated, the mechanics are the same with no notable addition, you are still forced to play P2P multiplayer, the maps are tiny and any extra ones will cost as well, while the singleplayer is short and, again, the SAME bloody thing we've seen over and over and over again.     Mi high end PC almost regurgited MW3 disc afeter I booted it. Can´t believe how updated Infinity Ward´s engine is. Now I really understand why everybody is so dissapointed at this expansion pack, it is because they are selling a 5 years old product as if it were something new.

    I just registered to say this. I have been a hardcore COD fan for a long time. This is the last COD I will ever buy unless things change. Graphically this game is a piece of **** worse than black ops by far. No FOV, the aspect ratio seems messed up, a complete disgrace. Please do not waste 60 bucks on this crap, you will regret it like me.

    Awful campaign. They literally took the same game and milked it's money again. Multiplayer is nothing new, and the maps are boring. If you want the same game, stick to MW2 and just buy the damn DLC.

    Terrible game, this is a slap in the face to pc players, giving them a garbage port with a terrible engine from the days of quake 3.. This was obviously make only consoles with a pc version as afterbirth and it shows.. Do not waste a dollar on this trash.

    It's just the same **** as before with a new name and they attempt us to be happy? Well, i think it's better to burn your money than buy this, at least you can enjoy the beautifull smoke comming out from the bill !

    My MW3 experience: Installed, started multiplayer, played for 30 minutes, quit, went back to playing Minecraft. that should sum up everything you need to know about MW3. The best way to describe it is a map pack for MW2 with some bugs thrown in.
    Campaign: continuation of MW2, same style, script twists, endings. gets pretty boring

    Do yourself a favor and start MW2 and you won't know the difference.No dedicated servers makes it hard for us Aussies to get decent connection.I just wonder why the professional reviewers score this MW 2 map pack that highly. Afraid they won't get the junket next year?

    this game just got old. nothing new just a expansion new weapons. Bf3 is way better. I broke my **** of doody disk. This game is not even that fun, its the same as black ops and mw2, i expected new engine and new weapons. but it only had new weapons but not as many, A lot of the weapons were recycled from Cod4, MW2, and Black ops. So don't get this game its terrible

I bought MW3 because they said it will support dedicated servers (which they semi lied to me). You can play on dedicated servers but they are non-ranked.     Bigger and better maps, guns actually have recoil, vehicles like tanks and jets, really good graphics, and you can see they put a big effort into BF3. CoD looks like it has no effort put into it, all they did was take MW2, change the name to MW£ (oops, i meant 3), change the title screen background, add a few maps which they think they can sell after for 4 maps for £15 (whereas on games like counter strike theres thousands of maps created by users FOR FREE, and DICE gives some map packs for free)...    … Expand

    The graphic's have had a bit of a improvement over Modern Warfare 2 but, nothing special that I could notice.

    The weapon sound's have not changed other than adding a shed load of bass to them in my oppinion. The multiplayer map's and player count are just to small to actually be able to have any sort of a good gaming experience, because whenever you run round a corner 90% of the time you will run in to the enemy player who has just killed you on the other side of the map within 15 second's of spawning.

    There is just something missing from this game and I cannot give it a better rating than 0 simply because there is nothing new at all in this game, compared to previous versions and it just feel's that it was rushed together by people who did not know what the Call Of Duty gamers wanted from the game.

    If it was not for it being linked to my Steam account and therefore unable to be taken back and traded or sold I would, have done it within the 1st 4 hour's of playing this game.

    I have played all the Call Of Duty games on the PC and I have played them all on the Xbox 360 as well, and I have to say other than the better draw distances on the PC version of the game's I have to say they are all the same game graphically and suffer with the same fault's etc.

    This is the last Call Of Duty game I will ever buy because I will not accept a copy and paste of last year's game with a new name anymore, especially when they don't try to hide it as well.

    For those who have played it and those who wish to play it, this will be abit of a spoiler.

    On a certain level in the campaign game there is a section where you enter a building, and if you look around you will see that it is the same building as the one on Pipeline on Call Of Duty 4, where you could climb a ladder to get on the roof of the warehouse., and that just show's how much of a copy and paste this game actually is.

    To really show how bad thing's are for the PC gamer's they were left till around 2 week's before the release date before being informed that the Dedicated Server's that were being issued with this game would be unranked and therefore to Rank up you have to use the IWNet system of Peer to Peer hosting, on gamers home internet connection's and whilst it seem's the searching for the host has improved it is still suffering from the exact same problem's that it suffered in Modern Warfare 2.

    This game has also been ruined by the amount of cheater's, as well in this game already because the game utilises the Valve Anti Cheat system which just does not seem capable of catching people using the cheat's, and if on the off chance it does it can take anything up to 3 month's to ban them.

    The game engine is tired and need's to be replaced, as does the developers because in my oppinion they have lost the spark that made this game great when it was first unleashed on to the world.

    Maybe in the future Infinity Ward, and Treyarch as well as the other various developer's involved in the production of Call Of Duty game, will actually redesign the whole game and bring back that spark that was so special to the fan's of the series with Call Of Duty 4, but until that day I can only see thing's getting worse for them considering other games are starting to improve and take fan's of the Call Of Duty series away from them.    … Expand

    My recommendation is to buy it when it's cheaper, if I had known prior, I wouldn't have bought it until it was at least half what it is now!    … Expand

    They just took Modern Warfare 2 and changed the maps. Modern Warfare 3 is essentially a map pack that costs $49.99. Now even the devs are begging people to rate it higher. Can you get more desperate than this, Infinity Ward? Modern Warfare was the last good Call of Duty game.

Black Ops had way more options in the settings for actually setting the game up properly, so you don't get motion sick as fast, a better unlock system and proper dedicated servers, and that was considered one of the worst CoD's in a while.

    Instead I got a version I can't play because I get physically ill after playing it because of the PoV, where I can not play ranked on the dedicated servers they bragged about before release, and which in most ways is exactly the same game as MW2. Visuals haven't improved, textures and models are extremely unappealing, balance is still off-key and we're back to stacking kill-streaks again. How fun that was as a semi-casual player, right? To summarize, the campaign is still linear, the story is terrible, and the multiplayer experience hasn't been altered in any positive way since MW2. If you like that, get it on consoles. The PC version is broken, possibly beyond repair.

    All in all, I'm extremely disappointed with this game, and I most likely will not play it again. Basically wasted a bunch of money I could have spent on a better game, had the game reviewers done their jobs and actually been honest instead of thinking about continued profits from game publishers.

    The campaign was short. Its story was so generic that even a retarded child can make it. The graphics is worse than CoD4. The sounds are just recycled junk from old CoD all guns sounds like a toy gun. Its streak system become from worst to worstser(i know there's no such word). To make it simple. This game is a joke. Its a CoD4 DLC.. And Cod4 is much better. Save your money and buy other games.

If you are going to get that game prepare for disappointment. Activision managed to sink all the way to the bottom of the sea one of the best FPS series in history of video games - Well done! From the king to the street beggar. I think it's time for CoD to retire for couple of years and come up with something new. Single player - stopping WW3 sounds great, you have the same characters (that didn't die) from previous version of MW. Map design is simple - get from point A to point B. Don't worry you won't get lost on the way. Guess why... CoD1 offered several different paths to reach objective and that's what should be restored! I don't care about fancy explosions!

    Multiplayer - its just map pack for MW2.

    If you guys want a good, quality game, check out The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. There's a game that the developers actually put time into making, about 3 years. Not like each COD game taking less than a year to make, no wonder their quality is so terrible. It's sad that such a piece of junk like MW1.5 can sell millions and even more than games that outclass it like Skyrim. There are just too many mindless, stupid fanboys who enjoy shooting each other with new maps paying a $60 fee every year to do so.

    This is another copy and paste game, i was extremely disappointed with this game. The campaign was terrible, as RazielDe described it quite accurately. The Multiplayer is exactly like the previous game (MW2) with a few tid bits added it to make it seem different than MW2, but they are not fooling anyone. The Maps are Horribly designed , resulting in almost all of the game being indoors.

Without Infinity Wards full development of the game, it feels that the new sledgehammer partner involved with activision has taken a more treyarch feel to the game, especially involving the design and over-all feel of the guns. I think that activision should strongly consider a major patch for the game, involving a stopping power perk, and/or a slight boost to the damage of all the guns, as well an attempt to fix the horrendous Hit-Detection in the game, and the release of some bigger, less cluttered maps. I am very disappointed in this game over-all, as it feels like an absolute half ass attempt to add better graphics (essentially just by adding garbage and crap all over the maps, and making them as cluttered as possible), and just over all poor map structure and game-play, I'm left with no choice but to return it as I am simply just not enjoying it at all. Keep in mind I have 46 days clocked on MW2, and am 10th prestige in MW1, this will be the first Modern Warfare I do not play because it is simply poorly designed. There is nothing new and absolutely zero reason for this to be a $60 "new game" as apposed to a $20 downloadable map pack. Hopefully the next iteration will include a new engine or at least a decent amount of tinkering so that it can be worthy of being called a new game.

    Call of Duty is the reason why FPS games have gone down hill. I guess good for Activision as they still make a killing for releasing the same game over and over again.

    This is the same game as MW2 basically, nothing great about this game at all. Graphics still look horrible and game play is same as any other COD. no big changes at all made to this game. Id rather play World at War

    The job they did for the PC is pitiful. No console to change anything. No way to change the FOV, a 90fps cap and no dedicated servers for ranked games. It's just disgraceful.

    Tried this game in a store on a console and was COMPLETELY convinced I was playing MW2 the entire time. this game is an insult to the gaming community, it's a digital Bigmac; it smells and looks pretty tasty but after you've had a taste you just want to puke.

If you want a high quality modern fps game you should try out ArmA 2 or wait for ArmA 3, these games have been made by people who actually care about their product and will not attempt to use the brand name to recycle the same product and sell it to you for full price each year.

    Disregard the reviews from gamespot and the like, they issue out numbers based on how much advertising a publisher buys on their website as well as the general hype behind the game. They might give MW3 and 85 for a score but I guarantee they had MW3 ads running along the sides of their webpages before their review was even out. It's just another example of shoddy journalism doing nothing to spur advances in gaming, judging by those reviews everyone should be happy with having the same thing year after year with no improvements. It's ridiculous. In closing: Don't buy this game, put your money towards a title that has the dignity not to sell you backwash every year.    … Expand

There's a new engine, but it's only noticeable in the single player, and let's be honest, if you're getting this game just for the single player, there are better single player games out there. If you played Call of Duty the last years, this episode won't give you any kicks, same old formula in the campaign, same old formula in the multiplayer, same old engine, and that's getting old. Battlefield 3 on the other hand, even through its flaws, seems much more refreshing and appealing. It doesn't bore me, because i haven't been playing Battlefield 3 for ages.     I'm sorry but i played this at my friends house and it was horrible, i seriously cannot begin to describe how mad i am at the developers for simply mixing previous call of duties up, throwing a couple of different things in there and selling it at full price while claiming it is a completely new product.

    I think there's a typo on the cover art -- that "3" should be a "2". It's a great game and all, I just wish it was something I hadn't played before. Too bad people will get suckered into buying the same game twice. I wonder what we can look forward to in Modern Warfare 4.

Had a good Singleplayer and the multiplayer was fun but slightly off balanced. Then came Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. Oh ok the game looks slightly better. It continues the decent story line form the first game. But changed absolutely nothing from the multiplayer. If you look past the Singleplayer it's essentially a 60 dollar patch and map pack for MW1. Then comes this game. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 3. Oh man there are a LOT of problems with this one. The engine. It's starting to show it's age. The graphics are tired and boring and look like the same shades of yellow and brown we got with MW2. The singleplayer is dreadfully short 3-6 hours depending on how skilled you are. The story felt rushed and was poorly written. The price. $60? For a PC game? Are you kidding? 60 dollars for somthing that's pretty much a map pack for MW2? (By the way, this game runs off the same .exe as MW2)

    The multiplayer that was once refreshing and fun is now just boring and stale they haven't added any new features that actually make the game feel new or fresh again. Just the same old run and shoot. Small maps, changed stats on guns etc.

    And you wanna know the worst part about this game? It doesn't even have anything to do with the game. One of the devs on this game a guy by the name of Glen Schofield is virtually pleading for users to come on this site, lie and inflate the user score of his game. This game deserves the user scores it's getting. Don't be mislead by the lies of their fanbase

    we play that game a lot at 2009 now you make it only servers then you call it new game for just more $$.you can make all the new things as DLC for 10$ not new game .I will not lost my money for second time.I hate black ops servers not server in my **** I did't enjoy the online .now i feal the game just copy and paste.even the Grenades saunds like COD2 till now !!

    Really this game is Moder Warfere "3"; I cant believe its another game. It feels too much like MW2 DLC. The gameplay is equal, the history is very "cliche" and predictable, and the multiplayer is the same of the last 4 games... really? I think this "Call of Duty" will die like "Guitar Hero". I will save in my memory CoD 2 and 4. The others are only DLCs with a full-game cost.

    Call of duty has turned into a sports game basically. They release the same game over and over again every year, still charging full price for last years game. What they are doing is an insult to their fans. The campaign is four hours long with Micheal Bay esq story telling, that is to say there is no story, just explosions and set pieces.

    This game is horrible, you cant even create ranked custom games so that you can farm xp with your friends then be 12 years old and camp in corners and just win all day. How dumb. Also guys have guns and shoot at you, I need a game where the other players can't shoot back because I'm pretty bad.

    Complete rehash of the previous squeals, defiantly feeling buyers remorse, waste of money and time, this game needs a entire new team of developers if this is going to change, complete failure on their behalf, also. One more thing, Glen Schofield asking your twitter followers to up the ratings is low, you should be ashamed as a developer.

    Thus, I can't recommend buying this unless you (still) like the fast pace, the customizable weaponry and the short matches, of about 10 minutes each. With the very important mention that, essentially, nothing has changed.
