Nov 10, 2011Modern Warfare 3 is pure perfection in gameplay and graphics, and it's only going to get better as more DLC arrives and the game is refined and balanced as the designers analyze real-time data from all the matches being played. There is no fan base more loyal than Call of Duty, and this game is guaranteed to delight all who play now and in the years to come.

Nov 11, 2011While the first two Modern Warfares proved to be the extraordinary work of a single, incredibly talented team, the third instalment in the series stands as a manifesto to what three great teams, working together as one passionate unit, can achieve. It's an improvement over its predecessor in pretty much every aspect and a return to former strength after the stagnation that was MW 2. Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward deliver a natural conclusion to an astounding trilogy - and the best Call of duty since the first Modern Warfare.
-
Nov 14, 2011This is a great game and one that fans of the series will really love. If your style of online play is "small unit combat, up close and personal" then this is easily the best available option. Despite stiff competition, the team at Infinity Ward have delivered yet again.
-
Nov 9, 2011Despite its flaws, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 takes the fantastic series we've come to love over the years and iterates on it with great success. The multiplayer is hands-down the best it has ever been, with more features, more modes and a ton of new levels. The singleplayer campaign and Spec Ops mode add value to the overall package, creating something that may not be perfect, but is too damn addicting to pass up.
-
Nov 11, 2011The game does have its setbacks. But it's far from a disappointment. Modern Warfare 3 has stood up to its predecessors and definitely does enough trash talking for itself.
-
Nov 11, 2011Played on PC, Modern Warfare 3 is as entertaining as it should be, but it lacks in technical evolution, especially on a platform where graphics have been pushed far beyond in the last year. On the other hand, dedicated servers finally do the trick, making it a good choice for every COD fan out there.
-
Nov 11, 2011CoD:MW3 hits shelves without even the slightest surprise up its sleeve. It packs the exactly same pros and cons as all its predecessors, which officially makes the CoD-Series the FPS-genres FIFA. So: you can always be exactly sure of what to expect, when buying the latest installment: A short Singleplayer-Campaign, that offers some absolutely stunning moments, a great multiplayer, in which little kids at the age of 4 (according to their voices) will probably destroy your self-confidence within minutes and a pretty much non-existent AI. One could like that - or be bored about it. We'd understand both.
-
Nov 9, 2011This is some of the best online shooter action around, and with the daunting challenges of Spec Ops and the exciting, globe-trotting campaign, Modern Warfare 3 stands tall as another great descendant of the game that changed a generation.
-
Nov 29, 2011The experience is starting to get a little tiring, but there are still moments in the single player campaign that are pretty fun. The multiplayer can be loads of fun when you aren't getting frustrated from being owned a lot. Graphics haven't changed too much.
-
Nov 28, 2011Despite a short – albeit intense – campaign and the outdated graphics, thanks to the great Spec Ops mode and the extensive multiplayer options, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is one of the best shooters this year.
-
Apr 10, 2012Thus, I can't recommend buying this unless you (still) like the fast pace, the customizable weaponry and the short matches, of about 10 minutes each. With the very important mention that, essentially, nothing has changed.
-
Dec 13, 2011In MW3 you know what you're getting and, yes, that's exactly what you get.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 20, 2012Stunning campaign with epic moments makes this third installment of Modern Warfare a great show with the best approach to players. No need to mention an excellent multiplayer. [Dec 2011]
-
Nov 18, 2011Another CoD is a sure thing and a guarantee of high quality fun. The campaign in Modern Warfare 3 is extremely spectacular, unfortunately multiplayer took a step back from last year's Black Ops - small maps and matchmaking issues are very serious problems. You can't overlook the game's old technology as well. Even though it doesn't hinder breaking sales records, which is a strong enough message for Activision, that revolution is the last thing Call of Duty needs.
-
Nov 16, 2011If you are a fan of the series, you will be happy with a relatively short, limited freedom of the (not quite) 'shooter on rails' story mode that plays like an interactive Hollywood blockbuster coupled with a strong online co-op and multiplayer experience with new features.
-
Nov 13, 2011There is no doubt Modern Warfare 3 is a great FPS on top of its particular and extremely succesful formula. But when it comes to the PC version, it becomes painfully obvious that this engine has gone as far as it could go in the technical and visual department, especially against the new competition.
-
Nov 9, 2011It would have been nice to have seen Call of Duty evolve with more determination over the last four years. Perhaps a newer engine, a longer campaign, or a change of location outside of those already featured. But it's hard to deny that Call of Duty – the Modern Warfare brand in particular – is a product of its own success, and a product of its consumer appeal. It exists in the way it does because it sells, and it sells because it's predictable.
-
Nov 10, 2011Modern Warfare 3 is linear, badly written and one note. It's still, from a certain angle, regressive. It's also fun.
-
Nov 18, 2011A solid military shooter with an enjoyable and fitting (if brief) campaign, but with co-op being little more than a time-wasting ring battle and multiplayer still overly punishing to CoD neophytes, it's hard to recommend this game to anyone other than the Modern Warfare hardcore.
-
Dec 5, 2011MW3 lives up to the already cemented reputation of the Call of Duty series; however, it appears to be almost like an expensive DLC for Black Ops.
-
Nov 14, 2011Modern Warfare 3 does not crown one dramatic story with pride. A campaign is more or less a relict of an old engine and design flaws mainly that are successfully selling as a trademark. Its ranking is saved once again by its multiplayer that brings just a single style of gameplay. However, it does its job and entertains those gamers, who are fine with it.
-
Nov 10, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Nov 9, 2011I can understand why Modern Warfare 3 has changed so little in the last four years, given that so much money is resting upon its shoulders, but that doesn't make this developmental stasis any more forgivable.
-
Nov 15, 2011Call of Duty is not just an annual assembly-line product; it's now a digital opposite of imagination, originality and reason.
-
Nov 10, 2011Modern Warfare 3 is ultimately a zero sum game when compared to its predecessors, and the only deciding factor is the disappointing amount of time it's taken to change precisely nothing...Or, in other words: M'eh.

PC PowerPlayJan 9, 2012If you own any previous COD, there's little reason to buy MW3. [Jan 2012, p.50]
