Its just the same thing from MW1. Full of 12 year old **** and it gets boring in a day. There is very little destructible environment compared to BF4. And single player story is a load of **** Its where the USA falls to its knees. WTF Activision. Who ever made this game should DIE Expand

First of all I have played the old COD 1 en 2 on the pc. Those two are the best COD's and they are from the times that infinity ward and activision gave a damn about their consumers. So after such a long time I decided to get the newest installment because they hired a good writer to write this game. (I have not played black ops or any of the other cod's)

The sad thing is that Activision hired Stephen Gaghan to do the writing but there isn't much dialogue in this game. You basically have an idea of what the story is about but you are shooting most of the time, there is no connections with the characters and the campaign is too short. The missions are varied but we have seen them in the previous COD's. All COD's have climbing down from a window and then shoot the guys inside the room, the snow missions are getting repetitive, the underwater mission is nice but we also had that. Also the 40gb install and 6gb of ram are just lazy coding or maybe all the DLC's are already installed and need a 15$ code to unlock it.

The multiplayer is just a recycle of previous modern warfare's it seems: Same animation kill, reloading animation, same guns and knifing feels like you poke someone. The kill streaks are stupid because you can see the enemy on the radar and the dog attack is just overpowered.

LOOKING FORWARD TO BLACK OPS 3 NEXT Year, SAME TIME, SAME PLACE :s

The multiplayer component would be a rock-solid title if it were not for the incredibly aggressive anti-lag tech being applied to the game. In the COD4/World at War generation, this was easily resolved by dedicated servers which had min and max ping settings and the ability to turn anti-lag OFF.
The anti-lag tech produces effects where your actions can be up to 2 seconds behind an opponent, giving you little hope to win in a face to face gun battle. It also impacts general hit registration. Hilariously, some guns are exempt from this. That being said, I can't in good conscience recommend a game that still has this problem after several iterations.

I'm a hardcore CoD gamer that loves to compete to be the best, but with all these new "innovations" it has become impossible to get more than one kill without dying. I was also very disappointed with the "customize your soldier", I was expecting something along the lines of rainbow six ,but it was more like GTA 4's customization options; barely anything to choose from.
My major complaint though is the removal of Search and Destroy from pub games, I used to love playing Search and Destroy with my team, now its been replaced by this stupid search and kill confirm game type.
The series sure went down hill after they fired West and Zampella. MW2 was a masterpiece, after that, it was the same call of duty trash. The series has officially died for me. Time to move on. Looking forward to Titan fall, which IMO is the true successor to MW2.

BO2 was my first attempt in the COD series, and I loved every minute of it. Fast forward a year later, and I'm dying to play Ghosts. Due to money and time issues, I chose Ghosts over BF4 and GTA. What a huge mistake. Really disappointing. Mouse sensitivity issues, game crashes, in-game sounds not balanced etc. Last COD i will ever play.

We were promised dedicated servers, instead we got peer to peer this seems nothing more than MW3 with a pretty wrapper over it. And by the 4th day, the same hackers who were around in MW3 are back, standing in the middle of the map getting head-shot after head-shot, with scores like 38 for 0 and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Hackers and lag. This game is intrinsically broken.

This game does not run properly, even on a high end system. It crashes frequently, freezing up the pc completely. Also there is micro-stutter all the time. The FPS keeps dropping extremely low. The graphics looks dated and the textures are very, very bad. The fov is extremely small and likely to induce motion sickness, which actually happened to a friend of mine.

The gameplay also has huge problems. The flinch is extremely strong and the weapons are overpowered. This means that the first person to hit the target will win every duel, and you will die without a chance to react, over and over again. Because there are no dedicated servers and huge ping differences, combining with the op weapons, playing is extremely frustrating.

The character customization is ridiculously complicated. To unlock challenges you have to have "operations" active, which means that you will take years unlocking challenges you would have otherwise completed many times. What kind of imbecile came up with that idea? And of course there is widespread hacking. Here in Europe there are now hackers, not just wallhackers, but aimbotters in almost every other game and nothing is being done about it. I bought every COD, but this is the last one. I hope this review can change someones mind about buying this game. If they lose most of their PC customers Activision would care enough to start fixing the issues, but I doubt it. Uninstalling.

Now I am not a great COD player but on Blops 2 I'll rarely go neg but Ghosts was just fishy I was getting killed so much.

I do still stand on my point that it is not next gen but it is an improvement ie we have prettier maps albeit not up to par of what other games have and are doing. Super fast reactions as well as a good knowledge of maps seem to be extremely important in doing well. Staying together as a team also seems to work well.

I from my experience have had more then just a handful of games/deaths where I'm almost certain aimbots and other hacks are being used. This is not a small problem but quite common compared to Black Ops where I didnt have consistent problems.

I feel this game actively promotes camping with way too many little corners which allow people to hide with nothing but one point to aim at. Now I know there is always a corner in COD maps which can be abused but were talking not one two or three but multiples on every map.

When I first heard about bigger maps I thought great. That was until I played on them and found that the action would be miles away with no enemies in sights. Until next minutes when there everywhere and I get killed 3 times in a row.

Onto my last point as I could go on forever but the spawn system is not just bad, terrible but flawed from the very ground up. If you cannot implement a system where by you are not within line of sight and xx metres from a opposite teams player them you should not have released the game. I couldn't believe it when I saw them advertising a DLC map pack after how terrible this game currently and most likely always will be. We should get the DLC for free. Do you actually expect us to buy a DLC after the countless lies. No quick-scoping lie, we'll fix things LIE (you clearly carried on working on DLCs).

In the future all I can say is I should of listened to the warnings if you can only choose one game to buy my advice is do not buy this one. In all seriousness either buy Black Ops 2 or just wait until the best COD producer Treyarch does next Novembers release. I have faith they will give us what WE want not fish and dog ai that no one cares about.

I loved COD and IW you have got so big headed that it has blown right up in your face this time when if you had just listened to what your fans said you would of at least made an average game as creativity is not something you do well.

Revised from 1 to 2 only due to the MP having a few nice new bits and bobs but nothing worth more then a £12 DLC

After all the hype, all of the waiting, we finally got presented with possibly one of the worst games in the franchise. It's graphics are terrible and the PC port was downright awful. As always, no thought was put into the story line and all focus was put into the multiplayer. Also it seemed that Activison was observing Treyarch and decided to put their own version of Zombies into the game. This however turned out to be terrible to as it didn't contain a lot of content and became boring seeing the same enemy 50 times every wave. It seems Activision didn't put a lot of time into this and wanted it out before the fanboys got too hectic. Maybe further updates can resolve these problems but for now, I recommend you don't buy it. All of these were so big that they took the Modern Warfare ones and duplicated them enough to make 4 "sequels," with one new release every year. In the big move to Next-Gen consoles, what do we get? Nothing. I seriously took this game and checked in across from MW2, and to be honest, it looks like some really popular modder's "MW2 Advanced." It seriously doesn't even have enough changes to it to make it a great sequel. Speaking of which, has anyone heard of "CoD: Advanced Warfare?" It's already queued for release in November.

Aside from that, the port is awful. It's clunky, it's badly optimized, it takes 40 GB of space (enough to install 3 Total War games and Battlefront II), and it still has bad graphics. It's just a bad game in general.

Why does it not have a flat-out zero? It got one point because I really liked CoD 1-5, and even 6 a little bit. It also got one more point because they're not the only ones doing this. They're following suit with Battlefield, and even Assassin's Creed and Dead Space now. The fact that we find more from independent developers than we do AAA is just all around a horrible thing. No thank you, Infinity Ward.

On a positive note the singleplayer campaign is actually worth playing, which I dont think could be said about Modern Warfare 3.
Im sure this wreck of a multiplayer experience has scared off enough players from getting another CoD game for a while. Myself included!

The story is intriguing but ends on a terrible cliffhanger, the multiplayer is broken and how people can view this as better than Halo or Battlefield is beyond reason. The only reason Activision continues this series is that its an annual source of money.Dont buy it,consider other games like this.

Main Problem: Maps are not as fun; too big and no UAV's
Story was never as good as the black ops ones
No options for buying indavidual maps for extinction instead of all the other useless maps
Overpriced Weapon, Camos and character DLCs

Infinity Ward should be removed as the developer of the next CoD game. Because there WILL be a next CoD game. At this point, for this franchise, money matters more than quality. And Ghosts seems to have made a of it.

Too often the missions in the single player started with "shhhh... or something to that effect. The problem is that I did not purchase a stealth game. There are much better stealth franchises out there, if that is what I wanted to play. When we are inevitably discovered, it became a by-the-numbers run to the exit, or hatch, or helicopter, or tank... whichever.

And by the way: these have to be the loudest 'ghosts' ever.

Riley the gimmick (sorry, the dog) is an afterthought for the most part. As a matter of fact, there seem to be only two characters that you develop any kind of emotional response to and they are not Riley or the brothers.

In an era that is producing games like Grand Theft Auto 5, Bioshock Infinite and FarCry 3, just to name a few, it IS possible to produce quality and sales in sequels. Activision seems to have given up on quality for this franchise if the evidence is the last two games they have thrown out: Black Ops II and Ghosts. Both are a case of slapping some explosions together, throwing in some Multiplayer maps and putting 'Call of Duty in front of whatever is this game's name and out the door it goes. Then they sit by the register and wait for us, the stupid people, to dish out the money for it. We do it, even though sometimes we are questioning if this one is going to be any good.

The only reason I still play is because of the people I play with, but it may now be time to catch up on games I missed previously like Batman Origins or Splinter Cell Blacklist.

If you work hard for your money, save some of it and pass on this turkey. Or, at the very least, wait for the first price drop. At the rate people are leaving the Multiplayer, you will not have to wait long.

Players camp all the time and know there is now UAV or SAT to spot them... so expect camper in every window and in every corner. Gunplay is idiotic, weapons have bigger side to side recoil then up/down. CoD even mw3 were quite fun to play cause there was a lot of run&gun jumping etc. Now its more static and i guess players are forced to camp. There are not many weapons to play with, there is no server browserm only dumb p2p matchmaking[ or dedicated matchmaking], CoD Cinema was completely removed so now you cant watch your replays or check if someone was a cheat or he jus had been a pro. For me it looks like a lazy work.
SinglePlayer- I had some fun but its not as fun as mw trilogy or blackopses and i bought this game for MP.
Extinction- There are plenty of COOP games for few bucks, this mode is compared to them. Its just boring and pointless.
In Conclusion- Dont buy this game. Maybe if people stop buying unfinished or just bad game then devs and their publishers will try harded to deliver a proper entartaining product. The premise was interesting enough, even though the story is as cliché as it comes, but it only requires a couple of levels to become bored to tears to the cheap shots at emotion that the games take with its stunning vistas of destruction and its laughably underdeveloped characters.

CoD will always have an audience, but my gaming generation (and the couple of ones that have already come after myself) has matured enough out of these games.

Ghosts on PC is a console port (and still terrible despite the patches). A single title can be released only once and there's no coming back. Compare this to other CODs since 2007. What changed so far? Is this what next-gen game looks like? Because I think it doesn't.

Nowadays, Call of Duty is like a widespread cancer. Everyone who became hardcore fan is sentenced for suffering from metastases known as CoD sequels. At least more people get the idea and try to avoid infection.

"Ain't broke, don't fix it"? - fine, let it be. But I won't be interested.

Call of Duty. Please change or die.

The game requires 6GB of RAM just to start up, which it definitely doesn't require as the graphics engine is nearly 8 years old now, and there seems to be absolutely no change from the graphics seen in Black Ops 2 or Modern Warfare 3. Gameplay wise it's your average Call of Duty game; set pieces, set pieces, set pieces. The story mode doesn't even need you to take part in some cases, as your AI companions simply clear out all the enemies as you move up, and the clear reskin of the ending to Modern Warfare 2 in the first sequence of the game is just hilariously lazy. Online the game has removed all the core gamemodes such as Search and Destroy and Domination, and gave us what? Cranked. Yep, this that about sums up online. The Extinction game mode is quite simply an attempt to gain players by reskinning the popular Zombies mode from Treyarch games, and it is probably the best part of the game, which is worrying. Activision is clearly only in it for the money now. Don't buy, just get Battlefield 4 Expand

Playing from Asia (Hong Kong) where I now stay is impossible even with the most badass internet connection the game is just to dam laggy and for $59 you know I'm pretty pissed.

I like to play the Campaign mode first before duke-ing it out with the boys online. Well this time the campaign is the shortest so far. The story made more sense this time and some of it was fun. But very short. REAL SHAME. Why is the trend in these FPS to ignore the campaign mode.

As for the game itself there is little to recommend buying it. Graphics are s***! for a 2013 title. I know its a straight port of the console. But I think the console version looks better on my TV then on a good quality 1080P monitor with top notch Nvidia graphics card.

I reviewed this game based on the campaign mode only. So it might pick up a few more points once I played it online for a bit. I always like COD online. Even if i get my ar$e handed to me on a constant basis.

If you only had the money to buy Ghosts or BF4 then its a no-brainer. Buy BF4.

I hope this is a flop so Activision wakes up and dosnt ruin this franchise even more.

Recommendation DONT BUY until its on 75% discount on Steam.

I'm a competitive player and cod ghosts is a horrible disaster.
the net code is broken: death is very quick compared to killcam,
    weapons' damage way too high,
    leveling up way too slow,
Maps way too big and does not follow traditional 3 lanes,

SLI results in attachment and environment flashes etc

I can run Battlefield 3 and 4 at max settings yet when I set this to the lowest settings it still doesn't manage to clock in at 60fps.

Is there at least a Field of View slider? Of course not! Four Delta One had PC gamer's backs with a FOV slider for Ghosts available on their website, but everyone's favorite publisher, Activision, took it down. Now PC gamers are stuck with 65 FOV and it is making my head hurt. I'm now going to request a refund from Steam. I've been scammed by Activision yet again.

I can't speak for console players but as a PC player since the early DOS games this is a shameful example of the utter contempt some game developers have for the platform that launched the Call of Duty franchise many years ago.

I could list all the faults but it's simply not fit for purpose. FPS artificially capped, FOV limited to a ridiculously tiny setting, poor performance on high end systems, sloppy map design, poor gameplay but they all pale into insignificance compared to the fact it's quite simply a really poor game. A game is something to be enjoyed, invoke excitement and something to leave you wanting more. This is anything but that.
