The reason I refrain from giving this game a higher rating is due to the terrible launch it had. Sadly, this is expected for blockbuster titles these days and I find it unacceptable. Performance on launch was horrendous and the lack of dedicated servers is a joke. Poor optimization at time of launch and a missing server browser held this game back from being amazing.

Thanks to the Steam sale, I was able to give AW a go without hesitation, I admit that I was intrigued when I saw the trailer. Bought it at a lower price to set my expectations and never looked back.

Honestly, this is coming from a Battlefield 4 player. Advanced Warfare looked absolutely breathtaking with all the fancy DirectX 11 features like Bokeh DOF, Spacial Bloom, Tessellation, NVIDIA exclusive HBAO+ AO, TXAA Anti-Aliasing and Volumetric Rays.
Supersampling is also an option which I've enjoyed using without much impact on performance.
Overall, despite the awful plot and tedious linear gameplay on top of its apathetic expositions. Almost forgot to mention the ancient peer to peer multiplayer hosting. AW is a must buy for most seasoned veterans of both franchises.

And I am also happy with how optimized it is for PC (compared to Ghosts). The SP is also a lot of fun for what it is. I mean, so far it is a linear FPS with a fairly predictable plot. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm enjoying it every bit as much as any other COD game I've ever played. Also, for anyone trying to do the Steam Box / HTPC thing, this game has full controller support with Aim assist and everything. Take this review with a grain of salt if you want. I am one of the few people who actually really liked Ghosts as a game, but I refused to write a positive review for it because I felt like PC gamers really got the shaft on that release. But with AW, I get the impression that they really put some effort into the PC version. Expand

Why I'm giving only 9, because Advanced Warfare single player doesn't have the ability to chose your loadout at the beginning of the mission, and there's a little weapon to chose. But the futuristic world, weapon, tech, and Exoskeleton make the game fun and make player can embrace new tactic at multiplayer.

In cod there have always been options to play different styles and with different equipment, like claymores and bouncing Betty's, that let you hold off an area and watch your back, or you can run and gun. With advanced warfare, no options, just run and gun makes for a very narrow playing experience. Multiplayer menus are slow on line, armory graphics look cheap and the selection of guns is rubbish. After owning it for 2 weeks I'm bored to tears with it and just can't find a gun that's "fun" to play with. However, I must say that this is the worst purchase I have made this year, and am kicking myself for not trusting my gut. The single player is exactly the same thing as every other CoD, and has now become so boring to play. The hand-holding mechanics are now at an unprecedented level in my opinion, and seems even worse than previous incarnations. The only improvement to campaign this time around is Kevin Spacey, whose fantastic performance does lend some quality to the campaign. Unfortunately, the storyline fundamentally is not up-to-scratch, and it's all a bit too predictable. As far as single player goes, I will not buy another CoD game if there is even a hint of "follow me" mechanics in there, not when there are so many other great single player experiences on the market today.

The multiplayer has been universally praised as "fresh" and "exciting" by critics. I must be playing a different game. The "innovative" movement mechanics are basically just variations of "double jump" in different directions and apart from that it's exactly the same as previous games. These new mechanics have also clearly just been designed for console controller look/turn speed, and as such the gameplay on PC is just stupid, with every one jumping about and swiveling at breakneck speed, it's just a gigantic cluster f**k with no tactical elements whatsoever. It doesn't feel like a military shooter at all. They have abandoned the idea of dedicated servers, instead opting for the "one player is host system" which makes the lag the worst of any multi-player PC game I have ever played.

The audio is terrible, there are no sounds of your enemies moving to create immersion in the environment or any tactical audio elements and everything is really "soft" and "nice" sounding (not in a good way - it doesn't feel like a battle ground in the slightest). Explosions sound like fireworks.

The port is what I would call just about passable. There is strange mouse acceleration on certain configurations, and limited options (you can't even fine tune the sensitivity of the mouse, it's either too fats or too slow). There is no FOV slider for single player, which means I had to play it with a wireless controller and sit 6 feet from monitor to avoid headaches.

There are many other issues with the game, the menus lag (Yes, a AAA game in 2014 has laggy menus!!!) and the player count on PC is now getting ridiculously low already (you better want to play team Deathmatch, because all the other modes are empty and/or unplayably laggy as the game seemingly gives host to Pablo from Brazil playing on 128kbit dial-up)

Suffice to say, the game is uninstalled.

It is amazing how many critics they paid off to give them good reviews. For a game that's called "Advanced Warfare", the system is ridiculously outdated. For a game that's called "Advanced Warfare", the system is ridiculously outdated. No dedicated servers on a competitive PC game? Seriously?! That should be an automatic zero in my book. But for those who are willing to be a little more lenient in their judgment of this game, let me outline some more atrocities about this game:

    * Shader preload is an option that theoretically loads the map before you join the game, thus eliminating FPS drops. It's a really cool idea, and guess what? It doesn't work for half of the maps. As a matter of fact, it does nothing more than kick you out after waiting for several minutes. BOOOO.

    * Lag compensation. Their way of dealing with the hosts having the best connection is to introduce artificial lag that all players in the match have to deal with, just to even out the game. So if someone on another continent joins your game, then everyone gets to play with lag! Sounds fair, right?

    * Horrendous optimization. Those with powerful GPUs are still going to run into FPS drops when playing AW on the lowest settings. -sigh-

    * Instead of innovating the map design to encourage players to "parkour" everywhere, there's just a ton of boundaries everywhere. If you try to jump onto a ledge that you think you can grab, instead you'll find yourself falling off with an annoying "Out of Bounds" message. The new movement system is great, but these maps do not support it. These maps could have been thrown in any other CoD and would've done just as well there. TItanfall's map design and movement system is far more satisfying.

    * It's missing a lot of fun game types like Gun Game and Demolition. Momentum and Uplink are okay, but they don't come close to filling the void.

Titanfall, a game that came out over half a year ago and can be bought for a fraction of AW's price, is a much better game. That's really saying something. And the worst part is, I bet AW2 is already in development. -_-

If you are returning to COD after a few of their previous titles failed to impress on the PC - don't bother picking this one up - it is a complete mess and cheaters, lag issues on the peer to peer system and awful performance issues and crashes are all that you can bet on greeting you.

At what point does your opinion balance out? or are you just trolling?... At least Sledgehammer is smart and knows a LOT of people are going to buy this game and be able to run it on modest hardware. This game is simply horrible. Sledgehammer claims the engine is all-new, but the RPG trails are still the same as they were in CoD4, so this is pretty clearly just IW7. The story is nauseatingly bad.

    Pros*
    - Newly designed maps and new movement system

    - Great leveling up system for weapons + supply drops
    - Perfect spawns and balanced weapon damage
    - Good PC port for players and offers a new perspective of futuristic warfare
    - Brand new Exo system and weapon upgrades
    - Theres a lot more ... buy the game and see for yourself
    - GHOST NEVER GOT FACEPALMED SO BAD
    Cons*
    - Lacks Multiplayer weapons ( like even ghost had more weapons )
    - Hosted servers and promised dedicated servers ? Like ( shot first die first )
    - Double kill tags for attachment unlocks seriously its hard enough to kill one person , and espeically
on open field maps with laggy severs.
    - Peer to Peer Connection really ruin the game and created lag issues ( disadvantage
eg ( Spam a whole mag at someone and still not dead)
    - Need more multiplayer maps as i feel like im playing the same map over and over
    - Are there any more ? Give us our dedicated servers
Well this is recommended to FPS shooters as promised play cod as you never before cause this is true but after when they give us out dedicated servers otherwise newbies to COD will face a disadvantage over veteran players

Overall i give it a 7 / 10 for having the worst multiplayer connection severs until they add in dedicated servers i can truly rate it a 8.5 / 10 .

    Bad. Boring. Call of Duty.

This is now the guiding principle of CoD. You get a few boring innovations, such as the Movement and all children are happy and think it is the innovation of the century.

Also, have seen a couple hackers trolling and admitting to it. Nothing you or i can do about it. They cant be kicked in p2p.

I was really looking forward to this game. I had hopes that it would be as good as CODMW but no. Single player story is good but game it glitched and sound does not sync up in the cinematic events. Which one could over look. Then they tried to fix it and there is no sound now in the cinematic events so you have no idea whats doing on in the story. Single player graphics look good. THEY DO NOT carry over to the multilayer. Maps are glitched. I constantly got my player stuck in the map literally between a rock and a hard place. Bodies float in the air after they are dead. Just laying there on some invisible platform. Just play on, we should be use to half built games by now right. all these years of pos mgnt shoving a game out before its ready.

Multiplayer. Texture and the relative good graphics of the single player do not come over into the multiplier. You can seriously tell you had two teams making this game. team 1 did the single player and team 2 made the MP. Team 2 i think were interns actually cause its horrible. The environment textures and map layout are pretty bad. Most of this could have been over looked if the game ran. But the multilayer is on p2p networking so it runs like junk. Lag movement, lag shots, lag hits. lag. If you finally get paired into a game after 45 min and it runs well DONT LEAVE you will not find another one all day. save your money. i wish i did. I so wanted this game to be good.

This finally represents the rebalancing of the Call of Duty franchise. The playing field is now much more level. With all the tools and gadgets a hell of a lot more variety and randomness as well as unpredictability has been introduced into the game making it competitive for all.

That's what veterans who've dominated the game don't like. They don't like someone else coming along and whipping their butt because they are more creative. The rules should always make a competitive game not a club of elites who firever dominate. Take snipers. They've dominated for so long. What do they do that's skillful? They just camp and wait with a scope. Where's the skill in that? And if he misses he should be penalised and the advantage go to the opponent. Now the opponent can hunt him down before he gets away so that's more than fair.

Seeing through walls. This is advanced warfare. We have heat seeking missiles as well as technology which can detect a heat signature so why not use it? This game was very well thought out. Yes it's linear but so are all COD games. It's not Far Cry.

Another thing is what rig you play it on. This game has awesome graphics, sound and effects but what you get depends on how good your PC is. On my PC and GPU and with surround headphones I get an experience and immersion that makes me feel I'm right there myself. But others with weaker hardware may get a very ordinary experience.

I'm just loving this and so far it's the best COD I've played. This is definitely a change for the better. New tools, new problems and a whole new game. For the campers and snipers and veterans of previous versions if you're good enough you'll make your mark here to but now you're made to earn it knowing one missed snipe will have a mob of eco suited enemies on your doorstep. You're no longer a protected species and can be hunted and got to as fast as you can flee so the onus on you now is not to miss. Now your skill is really being tested. Anyone can camp and snipe endlessly where nobody can get to them but now you can be gotten to in a flash and thus we hear your moaning and groaning. If you're really good now you're being asked to prove it.

    - Campaign is really short (about 5-6 hours and the the campaign is **** too).
    - The spawns are the worst ever in a call of duty game. Sometimes you spawn 5 meters next to 3 other enemies, sometimes you see yourself spawning in the kill cam.
    - less weapons (about 30 weapons).
    - too much accuracy when firing from the hip -> a lot of spraying kiddys.
    - maps are **** only a few are good.
    - a lot of features are stolen from other games (titanfall, crysis, battlefield).
    - kill streaks are mostly completely useless (overheating guns, slow rockets).
    - long loading times (on ssd and hdd)
+ graphics are good but their is better.
+ you can try weapons directly before entering a game.
+ you can adjust your look and your exo.
+ fast updates for bugfixes (still a lot bugs).

I think this game is quiet annoying. You join a game and you are already dead before the game is completely finished loading. Half of the time you get shoot in the back because of bad spawns and **** maps. Everyone is spraying around with lasers and mps, camping with snipers or hiding in corners.
You spawn and two second later there is already someone behind you, shooing at your back.
The new features like the jetpack and sliding is so annoying you sometimes waist a full magazine on someone, who is moving two times around you and back and killing you by spraying with his laser (seriously I have never seen someone using the sight when having the laser).
Their is so much jumping-sliding-running-spraying, I cant believe I played this game more than 2 games in row.
The campaign isnt totally bad, but the campaign of modern warfare 1-3 was a lot better and its the shortest I have ever played. A few years ago you just needed to destroy a few targets while completing a parkour. This time you get a tutorial about every thing you carry with you, your grenades, weapons, exo, movement; they seem to believe your are a complete retard that has no idea how to use autoaim grenade ( you waist 1 hour of the 5-6 hour campaign for tutorials). From year to year the same: you and a few others fight against hundreds of stupid npc´s in ugly designed levels for the glory of America, attacked by terrorists finding that one bad guy (what did I expected ?), with a lot of watching: military forces walking around, scientist developing new weapons, hostages and bad guys talking, good guys talking to bad guys, hostages talking to good guys, cutscenes, quick time events, its much more a film then every other campaign.
All in all I don't think its even worth the 50 euros for the pc version and the game still needs a lot of balancing to make it playable.

You can only climb walls at certain points, you can only use shields at certain points, and the only relatively free reign is the powered jump.

Missions are short, story is weak, and characters are forgettable. I almost feel sorry for Kevin Spacey being involve in this, and most of time he is the only driving force in the story. But perhaps that's just me... as I have played every game in this series and there is nothing new to offer. Or perhaps that it's time for Activision to either get really creative or drop it.

Gameplay is interrupted by the inclusion of button tapping moments. While the idea is good the method has been over used. This means that game play feels choppy, as you have to drop everything and match key presses with on screen instructions. Then there are parts of the story it just glosses over and downright ignores. In my books it's the worst crime because it assumes that people are stupid and insults them greatly.

Gameplay there really isn't anything new here, and what parts that are new are so briefly used that it's instantly forgettable. You get to use stealth suits, climb walls, fall from great heights, grapple hooks ... but sadly all of it makes up less than 5% of single player game. Some great ideas but poorly executed just like the direction of Crysis. The game gives you superhuman abilities then forces you to use a gun, so expect for the most part to be frustrated and disappointed.

But what I can't understand is the Professional Critics, what game where they playing... I'd like to know? Current score is 77 by them and 4.6 by users, have they lost touch, or has silver crossed their palms?
The good things are grenades, some really clever features, but again they over complicate it with the keys you have to press to select them. I don't know who designed the key layout, but it has to be some contortionist that was born with six fingers. Everything feels wrong which means sadly you end up shooting everything in your way using little of the "added" features that AW boosts so proudly about.

Then there are level cut screens which would be a good time to load the mission in. Clever and has been used in games for decades, but for whatever reason it loads half, waits until the movie has finished then loads the second half. Why? Also you have to watch the movie, without being able to skip, this becomes an issue when you have finished a level. Where you have to watch the proceeding level clip before you are able to quit the game, this seem silly for whatever reason they decided to do this for? Then when you start the game, you have to watch the same clip again.

Can't comment on Multiplayer, which I haven't played, and Activation probably thanks me for.
I am giving this a score of 5; I think it more than fair perhaps a little generous at times. Though I can't say I really enjoyed it, there wasn't a big moment where I refused to play it. It was just average, maybe a little less, and that's the biggest shame of it all. It could have done so much better.

Advanced Warfare is the same cod game with a fresh paint over the MP. The SP campaign is a little new, but nothing we haven't experienced before in a FPS shooter campaign. MP is worse because of the fact your playing cod with mediocre players and bland elements. Run and gun MP with no strategy. Flow of spawn calls all the public MP games unless you get into competitive play. As an ex FPS competitive player and ex Counter-strike player from back in the day COD games have gotten worse over time since I played COD: MW and MW2. I do not hate the franchise, but when you keep pushing our COD games and have no new ideas, it will die and get bland over time. The only reason its still played in competitively is because the MLG and other hosts are either forced to run it in the circuit or paid to do so. A couple more years and COD will be wiped by the battlefield series or another new up and coming FPS. Counter-Strike was so popular and is still played to this day because it has so much replayability built into it, constant decision-making, strategy, and every competitive game is different from the last. COD gets boring after an hour or 2 of me constantly going 30-5, with hardly no perks and running around the map spawning all the other players. Once you figure out the spawn rotation it is like playing Goldeneye for the N64 all over again without the enjoyment of Goldeneye. MP maps are still small as hell and do not have any strategy in them whatsoever. Pointless and for the weak FPS gamers, mostly for the kids Expand

Perhaps their fan base is made up entirely of American survivalists. I don't know.

One thing that amuses me about these games is that you shoot, stab and kill everyone in the usual emotionless manner because it's ALL ABOUT REVENGE, YAAAAARRRR! But the second that a "good guy" dies, it gets all emotional and sentimental. It's all ridiculous and childish. By now I'm truly over this thumping 'Murican propaganda machine.

So I'm going to compare it based on its predecessors. This game is actually WORSE than every call of duty before it, with the exception of Ghosts. There are hardly any guns, less perks than any other game, you'll get bored with it in a matter of minutes. Worse still: the maps are ****ing horrible. Literally same layout on every single one, that is all close quarters, no chokes, nothing interesting.

So as you can imagine gameplay is the same run and gun **** as usual, in fact its a necessity if you want to perform well givin the small homogeneous selection of maps, and idiodic movement mechanics. All weapons from the already pitifully small pool are obselete except the SMG's.

Whoever was the brains coming up with the features in this game is literally a joke, and should be fired from any project lead ever. The missing features are just completely ridiculous. For instance there's no lobby chat, something that a second year programmer could implement. Like what the **** were they thinking?

Avoid this poison at all costs. Like I said any of the preceding COD's except Ghosts are more interesting than this not only repackaged but dumbed down horse ****. Please don't make the same mistake as I did.

The biggest improvement needs to come from the Singleplayer. I beat it in as little as 5 hours, running past NPCs on the hardest difficulty mode. The campaign is once again a whole "MURICA SAVES THE WORLD" explosion fest, which I'm personally starting to get sick of.

Activison doesnt want to pay for a new graphics engine ??

The multiplayer portion of the game is really crap, seriously it is just a tiny bit better than cod ghost.
there are allready hackers , and the gun damage is strangely random, huge lag spikes and the fastest leveling system in the world...

So i am left with a 50/50 experience , the single player is allright but too short and the multiplayer

If you did like I did and make a kill before you know the lobby is hacked.... your stats will be reset. This has happened to me twice now. The last time I was 'lucky' to get the "First Blood" kill... and was given 65000 points and about 15 levels. I immediately left the game.... but was still reset the next day.

(which i mentioned in my review for the ps4 port.) PC people should rejoice since the freemium on the PC version is only for skins and doesn't require 5 bucks. Better to spend 5 bucks on black light for ps4 or free on PC. (plus since black-light is free, no PS plus required.) The cost for COD AW: $60(actual game) $50-$60(PS plus) and more money for DLC.
Cost for Black light: $0(To play) $5(To unlock guns permanently, one time fee, free on PC.) $0 (For multiplayer fees).
I understand that this review is mentioning black-light a lot but that's what AW is essentially a $60 dollar Black light, Titanfall and Crysis with the crappy Call of Duty repetition. AW isn't as **** as people say it is. It's just not worth the price considering how the final product compares to the hype and their are superior alternatives that either cost the same or are cheaper. EX: Battlefield.

I also really don't get how even if the game is set 40 years later, they still use the same guns. And the same uniforms. And the same techs. WHY? Why do these games have to be so bland and boring? I don't give a s#!t that a new Call of Duty game is released every year. It could be released every month for all I care. The things that annoy me are the lack of new content, the stupid design choices and the bland story mode, which has become some sort of training stages for new players, rather than a story mode. The story is the most lazy and predictable thing ever. Basicly country X attacks 'Murica and 'Murica fights back with a team of idiot soldiers. Basicly you are freedom fighter A and, with the help of freedom fighter B you kill anyone who isn't american. However freedom fighter B is killed and you escape. Then you join company Y and fight......................................wait for it......................Terrorists! Then you realise something and blah blah blah....

In some ways, I felt that Ghosts was the correct approach for the Call of Duty campaign. There were some really cool parts, some neat guns, and some down right awesome levels like the space mission.

When I noticed that the game was going to focus around special abilities being used in combat, I again felt like the Call of Duty franchise was taking another large leap forward. However, I was so, so so so so wrong.

You have all these super OP abilities, and half the time in the campaign you can't even use them. I feel so chained by the will of the programmer in the game that it honestly stopped the intense action packed fun. There were again, like Ghosts, some supremely bada** moments in the game, but they only lasted for a very short period of time. It seemed that each time I was having fun, Sledgehammer would rip that fun right from my hands.

As far as graphics concerned, they were pretty allright. However, the graphics on characters and faces are absolutely astounding. This, in and of itself, is probably the only thing I like about the game.

However, especially the way that this game progressed through the "story" mode ( the writing was absolutely tired and predictable) , all in all it felt like I was watching a very droll action film with bad direction. It was a good looking film, but it still just f***ing sucked.

Well, this game has its amazing graphical moments, it has its new shield armory, jump around moments, a tiny skill system plus they lent from Batman the grappling hook, but unfortunately, no its not worth 60$ plus the massive amount of hardware invest, because the only reason for buying this game was the dedicated server feature and they messed it up by just using a peer-to-peer client network - what a big big mistake. I liked the single player albeit very short. If I rated it based on just single player, I'd give it a 9/10. But CoD is all about multiplayer, and currently I can't give it any points. The lag is crippling. I've tried giving it time playing for almost 20 hours. I have 100/30 internet speeds and it is useless. I will review again if they ever implement dedi servers but that probably isI liked the single player albeit very short. If I rated it based on just single player, I'd give it a 9/10. And i feel really bad i only paid about 13 euros for a Russian key. I think its a good thing Russians have to pay much less because those bad Russian's wouldn't pay as much as we do and would rather buy a cheap copy instead. I also really like getting discriminated by steam because i want to play with a Russian key. I should feel honored being forced to pay much more.
Best review is from IGN and GRYOnline.pl. They say its the best CoD of all time or since MW. They must be really well paid for promoting such nonsense.

I rented this game for two days and the following is my impression of it after playing on my ps3.
there is no way this took three years to make.
Hard freezes at various moments mainly either in party lobby or in game lobby. 2 second game freezes while shooting and normal movement mic display placement gets in the way of viewing the battlefield because they put it on some 16bit

mic display placement gets in the way of viewing the battlefield because they put it on some 16bit resolution and just outside of center screen.
slow button response while in party or game lobby
    1. closing after action report
    2. Change load out
    3. While leaving game
    4. Opening supply caches

Matchmaking clearly is broken. worst lag in any COD game ever and im not using hyperbole.
game starts feel like you were thrown into it. no more countdown and start at same time.
no difference in amount of bullets it takes to die in HC and Core modes
takes almost 30 seconds for the find game button to display and allow searching
gun fx sounds are flat and no difference between them.
There is little to no recoil in the guns.
    lack of guns.
    some op guns.
perks are stupid. you will run a couple of them for all ten setups.
almost all exo perks are useless and do not power back up in the event you can survive insta-kills after using up all the energy it takes to use them.
new items and the gun pictures take forever to display
customization items with time limits are stupid
colors are flat and muted, no one can be seen even on the brightest maps.
maps are decent and small definitely more chaotic with people able to jump up behind you.
campers are far and few between.
re-spawn has a limbo mode where you’re not really spawned but in some spectator mode while playing CORE mode.
    QS is still around

i highly suggest renting first. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS GAME UPFRONT.
i would have given it a lower score but i think the jetpacks are good addition and provide a new dynamic to the game.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is (in my opinion) a frustrated idea of Titanfall. Respawn Entertainment launched Titanfall in March. When Activision announced Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare back in May, comparisons to Titanfall were immediately made, with claims flying that Advanced Warfare was an imitation of Titanfall.

Even with multiplayer being the primary focus of this game, like every other recent Call of Duty title, (because we all know no ***** are given about CoD campaign) the multiplayer game play is highly disappointing. People will never learn that the CoD series has become a re-release of the previous games with mediocre additions and a futuristic twist that gets more exaggerated each time. Don't be one of those people. Don't let these idiots steal your money from you and go spend your $60 on something useful/meaningful such as a gift for your girlfriend/wife/mother. Expand

Ghost was so bad i was thinking is not humanly possible to create and publish such a bad game again.
boy i was wrong. Is not just bad on PC and not because of the cheaters on day 1, is also bad on every console! ps3 and xbox 360 suffers more then xbox one and ps4. Even do i dont see why? Is old game, a decade old engine...GTA V looks amazing and works amazing on those consoles. High

Garbage. Play Battlefield 2142.. still leagues ahead of this game. This is garbage. Just a money sink. Activision just wants your money again.. it's that time of the year to harvest the cash from the dummies.. for something you'll just end up dropping in a couple weeks, once you discover there isn't really much else to the game... thank god for gamefly. not worth an investment. Look at IGN's review.. These guys can't be trusted anymore.. All of these big sites getting paid big bucks to pad their reviews.. They gave this game 9.1.. and if you think that's credible.. Look back to their review of ghosts.... which we all can admit was complete utter garbage... especially the squads mode. Ghosts got an 8.8? Serious? .3 difference between crap and a supposedly perfect game? i liked black ops 2 better.. and even it was not without fault.. just not as **** as ghosts. it's just hype to sucker you in because once you pay, you ain't gettin yer money back.. Time to do that thing people forgot how to do.. boycott.. The all-mighty dollar speaks volumes.. settle for crap and they'll keep u satisfied.. Time to say no.. Make a statement and they might actually listen. we need to make a law that allows returns for garbage.. 2 weeks is plenty.. if you can't enjoy a game for more than 2 weeks.. send that **** back for a full refund.. it would change the industry. fyi, not condoning battlefield.. their games are becoming garbage, too.. just a shame they didn't take 2142 further... enough of my rant.. do what u want.. but only you will have to regret it. I really liked single player campaign. My nephew said that this game is his favourite game of weekend. It taked some time to adjust my PC. Most problems were caused by antivirus that ruined hard drive perfomance. Then I removed it, formatted volume, set pagefiles and game began to work like charm. Campaign is great. This game is a lot of fun. There’s some Crysis in it, some Titanfall, some elements borrowed from Unreal Tournament and Battlefield. Underneath it’s still Call of Duty though, finally modernized in terms of visuals. [13/2014, p.50]

A new engine and new ideas breath new life into a series that was in serious danger of turning stale.
