i love BD 1 and BD 2, and waited this one!

i dont get all those negative Scores... maybe Because Epic Launcher?

This game is a same old BD2 whit better loot, and more Gore and nice new characters.
i got 100-160fps no lag or Fps drops and no bugs or other issues.

i like the game and i realy enjoy it.

This game is not a BL2 Expansion, it is a fully fledge game with a lot of work put into it. The game is fun and i will play a lot of it, however it does feel like it is missing something big. It just doesn't have the same heart that went into it that the first two BLs did. Tales from the Borderlands had that spark too. So it's not a bad game, it is just missing something.

Suffers from unplayable lag and disconnections because of the anti-piracy DRM.
Gameplay and story are mediocre and feel like a step down from BL2

AMD fx 8350 8 core 16gb ddr3 ram and AMD radeon R9 390x 8gb and windows 10 OS. 3 hours in and still trying to find a work around or fix to get past game crashing at opening cut scene. I have found the Epic support forums and player feed back very helpful in trying to fix the broken launch game issues.

So far the game is fun with plenty of playtime and plenty of weapons. Just like before each gun has its own feel to it. Story-wise it has new characters, old characters, and good dialogue that you would come to expect from a borderlands game. Though it does feel a bit more PG13 then previous titles.

and what knocked 3 points off my review. EPIC GAME STORE. I'm sorry, but I would rather use EA Origins. But I want to play this game so, F it. I will refrain from buying other games on the EGS. Yes, steam has a lot of control over the market, but when your storefront lacks even a Shopping cart, then maybe you should invest more on making it worth using before forcing people to buy games on it. but that is just me. Also a Fing road map for a storefront... And like Anthem, they abandoned that roadmap.

All in all, a fun game. If I hadn't just spent so much upgrading my PC, I would have gotten this for the Xbox or PS4. If you have that option then do it and do not feed the Epic Game Store as I did :(.

The dialogue is top notch and the story is captivating, I already hate the Calypso Twins and can’t wait to see how the story develops. I’m in it for the long haul and I hope this helps those who are on the edge about buying the game! Expand

This game has everything to be considered a good game. But man, i'm so tired of games launching in this state!

The game is buggy and has a lot of frame rate issues. And when i pay for something, i want it to work properly. Not tomorrow, not in a week, not in a month. I want it to work in release day. It's obvious that the game needed more time. But nope! They want my money now!

I know that for a lot of people a 0 is unfair to the developers, but what about us players?! It sucks to be hyped, spend hard earned money and have this at day one. I don't know who is to blame and i don't care! I just wanted a good borderlands game and i definitely didn't got it!

I haven't had any DRM or upstream issues and my frame rate is reasonable, hasn't dropped under 60.
Sadly, this feels much like the Rage 2 release, lots of potential, generally falls flat, game feels rushed even with 6 years of dev. hopefully patch to fix.

I will admit this score is in reference to expectations... The developers and team clearly put in effort and time to this game. The graphics and design are high quality. The game itself though isn't to me a better Borderlands!! It just isn't :-/ I can't think of playing this game more than once and I already bought the DLCs and secretly regret that :-(

Upon first impressions, I have to say that there is absolutely nothing to turn your nose up at here. The game is highly functional and fun to play. The voice cast and writing talents put the previous entries in the series to shame, and the game looks beautiful to boot.

The jokes are okay a little childish but hey that has always kind of been Borderland's stick anyway so I didn't mind them too much. This game is sadly middle of the road with not much wow factor and maybe it is just IP fatigue at this point. Co-op is fun when it works but most co-ops are so you won't win points for that from me. Graphics look good when the game isn't dropping FPS like crazy for no reason and no it isn't my system (i7 9700k, RTX 2080, 64 Gigs of RAM, and so on). I would have given this game a higher score if the Devs didn't release a buggy mess at launch, it seems that there was a reason early review copies were so hard to come by. Another thing that should be talked about is the insane DRM in this game which goes above and beyond to the point of making impossible for some to stream the game. All and all it is a 5/10 once it is patched and I have no doubt that Gearbox will make it right, but until that day comes the most I can see fit to give it is a 2/10. Expand

This review is mostly based on my first impressions of the game.

So, I used to be a member of the outrage mob against this game, but thinking about it rationally I came to the conclusion that the only thing I really care about is whether the game is good and whether the game doesn't rip me off. So, I used to be a member of the outrage mob against this game, but thinking about it rationally I came to the conclusion that the only thing I really care about is whether the game is good and whether the game doesn't rip me off. I can confirm that Borderlands 3 does both of these things at launch. So far after about 7 hours of play, I have encountered no bugs. The game runs solidly on my GTX 1060 6gb, although I can't crank the settings up to max. I get average framerates of around 70-90 with my rig. I haven't experienced the disastrous frame drops that people have been complaining about in the negative reviews. The existence of Denuvo DEFINITELY sucks though, I will not deny that whatsoever. DRM is never a good thing, and removing it would probably make this game run even better.

Claims regarding an in-game shop are complete bull, because there is no in-game shop. There are microtransactions in the form of cosmetic items, but these are not locked behind loot boxes, and you can buy exactly what you want, similar to games like Warframe. Furthermore, this is not a new development in Borderlands. BL2 had the same kinds of cosmetic microtransactions. I do think it is concerning that the golden chest in sanctuary can give you legendaries, as that could potentially lead to the ability to buy golden keys to try and get legendaries that way, but as it stands right now, you cannot do this. You can only get golden keys through shift codes; the old fashioned way.

In regards to gameplay, it feels a lot like Borderlands 2, but better in almost every way. Being able to teleport to any fast travel station or your car from anywhere on the map is a fantastic addition, every gun feels like it was hand-crafted despite the fact that it was randomly generated, gear lasts more than just a couple levels before becoming obsolete (a huge improvement over Borderlands 2), and moving around is slick and satisfying. If you aren't a fan of Borderlands, you won't like this game, but if you are, this is definitely the sequel you've been waiting for.

Read both sides of the aisle. It's understandable to be skeptical of the quality of triple A games these days with such disasters as Anthem and Fallout 76 or even 2K's other recent release, the horrifically manipulative gambling simulator that is NBA 2K20, but Borderlands 3 is thankfully not among those triple A flops. It's a fun game that doesn't rip you off. Hopefully it stays that way.

I wouldn't buy the season pass though. I'd rather wait for the DLC to come out to decide whether I want it or not.

Honest review by someone who has actually played it!
So far I have played 6hrs. Really enjoying it so far. Silly humour, not to everyone's tastes I guess. Good gunplay, crazy gun ideas that I haven't seen in previous borderlands games. People have said the 2 main villains are annoying because they are like twitch streamers etc but that is even better reason to hunt them down and kill them.

I have seen far more cringe characters in other games and I think they are actually taking the piss out of twitch streamers. Pros
Graphics are improved. Not sure why people are saying it's badly optimized, runs ok for me on 3700x, rx580, I have it on 2560x1440 resolution although most settings are set to low and getting 60fps. But still looks better than borderlands 2. I haven't tried to lower resolution yet and put higher settings. Story ok so far. Some new enemies since I last played borderlands 2. Especially the loot enemies, that explode with loot going everywhere. Small changes to gameplay that make it that little smoother to play, like climbing ledges, sliding. Possible pro, new worlds/area's from what we have been told in previews but I haven't gotten that far yet. Cons
I've had 2 crashes but I think that is because I had MSI afterburner running to view FPS. When I didn't have it running it didn't crash yet. I've had the game saying there is an update available when I go to esc to main menu, but it doesn't update, there is no option to update on title screen and when you exit to epic store it doesn't update. You have to use epic store. It's an exclusive for now
It's expensive. Possible con, apparently micro transactions in the game according to other review bombs here, I haven't seen any, they aren't forced on me yet. And if they are just don't buy them. Just enjoy the game for what it is, a very fun looter shooter that started it all.

Gearbox has a problem: the fantastic Borderlands 2 is too good to be beaten. But in the case of Borderlands 3, it is still more than a worthy successor. The filmmakers brought many pop-cultural references, maybe pushing too hard on how they want to be “modern”, but otherwise it's a great game again. [Issue#298]

Borderlands 3 offers a generous experience, with colourful characters, neat gameplay and a charming universe. Its formula, very close to that of the previous episodes does not revolutionize the show but its small new features bring a little freshness and the scenario makes us want to go to the end of the adventure. Its dynamism and nervousness make it a choice piece for adrenaline-ready FPS lovers and license fans.

The fun, humorous storyline, some great dialogue and theatrical accents of the diverse characters, beautifully varied locations and the same great gunplay that Borderlands is renowned for, means that Borderlands 3 becomes another must have title in the series.
