-in no way, shape or form worth a 7 year wait from it's predecessor.

-The dialogue in this game is some of the cheesiest woke nonsense i've heard. None of the jokes are funny, The accents pierce ears and none of the new characters are interesting.

-The villains are boring. Of all the things they could have gone with they thought a pair of cult influencers poking fun of real life influencers was the best option.

-By the endgame, legendries are anything but legendary as they drop constantly.

It was a jankey, buggy mess upon release, but that isn't what the real problem is. Nope, what really craps all over this game is the writing. Instead of just doing what they've done for multiple games and just try and be witty and clever, they tried to pander to the lowest common denominator with political correctness dripping from every orifice. Be careful guys, 3 whole people might get offended that there are too many penises and not enough vaginas in this game. Gotta make the whole thing a YouTube vlog so the kiddies will totally relate. Gotta **** on every established character and elevate anyone new with a vagina to godhood. Lilith doesn't count, cause we actually like Lilith. Honestly, who thought it was a good idea to hire fresh out of collage writers who don't care about consistancy or respect for established lore and only care about making sure no one is offended? Because they should be fired... out of a cannon, into the sun. I respected Gearbox for telling an engaging story that made sense, with a villian that can be considered one of the best in all of gaming. To go from that to the entitled, insufferable, ****ty Hot Topic employee wannabe brats is actually impressive in its incompetence. Oh, but how can we forget the equally entitled, unworthy, insufferable, disrespectful, undignified little **** that pops up half way through the game and gets everyone she cares about killed. Only to be rewarded with God-like power and undue respect from broken, striped down, disrespected characters we have grown with and loved? I'm utterly impressed with the absolute heel turn Borderlands 3 is from Borderlands 2. I didn't know it was possible to screw things up that badly. My only hope is that the people in charge of these absolute braindead decisions at Gearbox reads every one of these 0 to 1 star reviews so they can feel a fraction of the disappointment they have bequeathed to their fandom with what can only be adequately described as Satan's **** of a game. Fire whoever was responsible for this waste of space in my gaming library and go back to respecting your story and your fans. Or you can sit in a circle with J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson with your fingers in your ears so you can't hear how you took a media Titan and crumbled it into what is akin to a steaming pile of dog vomit. Expand

There were a few changes to the way skills work and to the UI, most for the better. I like the addition of player rooms but they don't feel customizable enough. The mini-map still kind of sucks as per tradition but the full-size map was improved some. The playable classes are decent. Plenty of guns and variations, as usual. Visuals were pretty great.

I had maybe 2 crashes in 40+ hours of playing so I can't speak to the issues others are complaining about. Running an i5-9600k, 16gb RAM, and RTX 2070 8gb with DX12. My frame rate and temps were pretty normal. Nothing unusual there for me.

The boss battles seemed like they were improved. It was good to see some new enemies introduced. The story was alright but I wasn't really invested to be honest. The humor didn't seem to grab me like the first two games but it's possibly just because I'm older now and I'm not as involved in "Internet culture." Kind of cringe at times. Borderlands has always been a bit over the top though so I suppose it fits.

I did notice a few glitches with the inventory and enemies at times. Not too surprising and I imagine they get cleaned up soon. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're a fan of the series. After they push out all the DLC, I'd really like to see them move on to a new IP or expand in other ways. I feel like it's on the verge of getting stale.

I really enjoy the challenge of the game. It is not crazy difficult for no reason. Almost every death felt earned and a learning lesson. The weapons feel much more balanced this time. I could nit pick some things such as a few side characters that were annoying and cringe inducing (there is a teen girl apprentice I wanted to throw out the ships airlock), but overall, I really enjoyed this game and did think it was the best in the series yet.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just finished this game after buying it with a group of friends months ago. We couldn't make it to 7th chapter due to a mind-numbing story.
    Story
The story is S**T The people that made this game lacked love for the Borderlands series, and it shows through their portrayal of the characters in the series that we had grown to love. ELLIE and TANNIS take center stage in this game for no discernible reason other than the fact the developers could not develop the original crew further or make fun, new personalities. DID YOU KNOW THAT ELLIE IS FAT, SOUTHERN AND IS SEXUALLY ATTRACTED TO EVERYONE? No? Well here is a **** innuendo tied to her every breath. Did you know Ava is annoying brat that no one in the world could ever care about due to her Unlikable personality and COMPLETE lack of depth? No? Well here she is in every cut scene ever made. Even Lilith was reduced to a bland quest vendor. The incredible writing for the Tales from the Borderlands characters left everyone excited for their presence in Bl3. Rhys and Vaughn were reduced to their most basic, and displayed none of the charisma or charm they were born with. But hey, at least Scooter isn't alive to see it.
The Calypso Twins started to become likeable after Tyrene gifts you a gun for killing yourself, and the twins talk to each other like real people on the ECHO comms. However, by that time, Troy was about to die, and Tyrene would no longer have the chance to develop herself.
They did well in some regards, including BALEX and his girlfriend. A shame they didn't have a lot of screens time, but with what they had they displayed chemistry and great humour. That skillful writing did not translate anywhere else in the game. General Traunt was also a breath of fresh air, a character that didn't take himself too seriously.
    Gun play
The BL team did really well with the gun play. The step from BL2 to BL3 is ginormous and is worthy of praise. Certain elements of guns made them a delight to use.
If I had to critique the gun play, it would be that the guns weight felt the same, whether it be recoil or sway it never went beyond the usual parameters. In order to give the weapons unique personalities, they should have explored more avenues, such as more detailed gun smoke, engravings, sound changes, weight and different variations of reloading. Particle effects needed to turned way down, bout to have a seizure.
    Loot
Looting in this game was very rewarding. Too rewarding. A legendary item for farting it seems. They are called legendarily for a reason, so why is the game handing them out so freely? Legendarily in this game spawn more frequently than purples in BL2. This takes away the thrill of getting lucky with an orange. By the way you can buy legendarily from vendor machines for 3000 bucks at level 30? Its like they didn't even play their own game.
    Enemies
Complete. **** Let's give Troy some giant orbs or something idk. Merge Tyrene with a generic OOD from Doctor Who IDGAF. So boring to fight and even more depressing is that the whole game leads up to these so called 'peaks'. Enemies you fight are generic, the psychos are less psychotic and few remember able sentences. And they all talk so damn much you've heard it all by chapter 10.
    Levelling
I was always 4 levels or so behind the enemies and they were decimated. No challenge, no need to level up and come back, no need to find stronger guns they just melt in your presence. Their guns are too weak and you are too strong. The times I felt a challenge were few and far between. To draw a comparison to BL2, when I was even one level behind I felt the struggle. Which then forced me to either adapt my current play style or do side missions to level up and get better loot. In this game, you run and gun like an unstoppable jugg, which made for a mindless sprint through the battles.
    Cut scenes
AK THU. Disgusting. Revolting. After deleting all life within a 10-mile radius of the objective, the Twins still manage to get their way. Not the sneaky tactic Handsome Jack used to kill Roland, no they walk up and do their business. And where are you? You turn into a ghost that was wiped from everyones memory. Lilith loses her powers in the most pathetic of ways. Maya dies in the most pathetic way imaginable. Tannis is kidnapped in the most lazy way possible. And you, the player, are powerless to stop them. You don't matter in this story line, until it comes time for the Twins to die. Having no bearing on the game until the end is so mind-numbingly boring and making playing it a complete slog fest.
    Ava
**** Ava, all the homieshateAva. Annoying ass bish I'm would have preferred her going REEE on the comms, instead of hearing her whine all game. F**k Ava. And her ****ty off-screen arc. Where she turned from a brat to B**CH I really don't know why the devs thought anyone would care about her, ak THU.
    Future
Lilith left Ava in charge for some reason, so I have low hopes. Unless Randy leaves and takes Ava with him.

    THE GOOD:
    - This is probably the best installment in the series yet. It has an overall engaging story, fun characters, well-balanced fighting that stays fun throughout, and a good variety of enemies and weapons.
    - The story is pretty funny and ridiculous. It's a great parody of modern social media influencer culture. There is a decent plot twist at the end.
    - The mission featuring the real voices and likenesses of Penn & Teller, and lampooning the Burning Man festival, is particularly well done.
    - If you have a capable graphics card, Borderlands's signature cell-shading art style is still super gorgeous. The environments are prettier than ever.
    - Orange items, the best item type, which has some kind of unique special ability, are much more common, which is more fun to be honest.

    THE BAD:
    - The plot, while overall fun and funny, involves your opponents being omniscient and knowing everything you are doing and planning. It feels a bit frustrating at times to have the bad guys outplay you constantly with knowledge they couldn't possibly have.
    - The are several important cutscenes that involve the NPCs doing major things, but where your characters are apparently sitting around powerless with their thumbs occupied.
    - Make sure you have the subtitles on!  It can be hard to follow the plot sometimes when people are talking while bullets and explosions are flying everywhere!

    THE UGLY:
    - We did encounter some annoying bugs three or four times. Mission objectives would fail to complete, usually after fighting our way through a really long level. It wasn't a show-stopper, but we had to reload the game and start the mission from the beginning again.
    - A lot of the macguffins you search for through the entire game lead up to building a magic bridge across a chasm... a chasm that you could have easily crossed using routinely available vehicles depicted many times in the story... I'm not sure if this was tongue-in-cheek or an oversight?

The amount of "details" of characters is really off-putting and out of place for a borderlands game imho.

Movement and gunplay are worse than BL 1 and BL 2, with some kind of delay and ... its hard to describe: Feels so pointy but not meaty.

Exploration is less fun, since its more like walking through a shopping-centre and not a big and interesting world.

Characters are totally forgettable and uninteresting, jokes seemingly never land. Who wrote this?!

Story is boring as hell. Ask people who finished the game and tell you their most memorable things that happened and you'll see.

Also the size of the game (over 70 gb?) is painfully undeserved for what little it actually delivers.

Played Borderlands 3 with 2 friends and it was a decent experience.
Encountered very few bugs while playing.
    Unskippable cutscenes were horribile.
    Gameplay was good, not great.
The story could have been better.
    The audio was great.
Maybe a bit boring compared to the previous one.

However, voice acting is unimproved and arguable worse than ever, when this was always already a weak point of the series.

Additionally and critically, I agree with other condemnations that the quests (both main and side) are largely repetitive fetch quests.

The quests could have been loaded with incredible variance the likes of Fallout 3 and 4, where there are fun breaks of finding new long term allies, or exploring completely virtual and out of time-sync worlds. At the bare minimum, they could have explored the now trope of a chapter involving your accidental ingestion of psychotropics (Fallout 3....hospital bed with balloons, anyone?).

Borderlands 3 has none of this. It's a straight forward shooter from start to finish, with a change of scenery from time to time. I have no doubt that at some point the Powers recognized they had an addictive formula and decided they'd gone as far as necessary. "Great...just make more of the game but exactly with this formula" and called it a day.

Again, that's great if you want people to be addicted in the way they're addicted to an illicit drug. I.e. technically being addicted in that they feel they must play for dozens of hours, but factually finishing feeling like they'd gone through a woodchipper and wishing something else had pervaded their time.

If you want a game feeling like a complete fulfilling experience, like an epic movie or novel....or an epic game series like a Fallout or Skyrim....this is not it. If your barometer for a "good" game is how many hours you mentally feel compelled to play, then you've found a gem. If you understand that if playtime is only thing you get from the game but you leave feeling like you were working a job for minimum wage for 5 years because nobody else in the industry was offering any better, you might want to hold off.

It wasn't perfect; the AI sucked, the looting was hit-and-miss, and the endgame was like a bad Crysis fanfic. Then came Borderlands 2. It was mostly the same, the characters had somewhat been Flanderized, Claptrap wasn't quite as funny, but it was a snappier, faster experience. The new guns were cool, slag was clever, but the leveling curve had some issues. Badass enemies weren't usually the "fun" type of challenge.

    The Pre-sequel? What's a pre-sequel?

Seriously though, B3 is an improvement over the Pre-sequel, but I'm not sure it's that much of an improvement over B2. It looks better than previous games, but I don't think the visuals have really scaled up that well. Gameplay hasn't changed, AI still sucks, looting feels even worse this time. There's so much loot, every battle there are dozens of guns lying around. There's no point in picking up a white or green weapon, ever, because there are always at least 2 blue ones from any fight. I dunno, I'm not sure what the point is anymore. The download is about 100 gb, B2 was less than 8 gb, what am I spending my bandwidth on? The game's not 12.5x bigger and better, I just don't know what all the bloat is for. Isn't Elden Ring around 50 gb?

I do prefer the leveling curve compared to B2, so at least there's that, and enemies are way less spongy than in B2. The voice acting is still good, but the characters aren't quite as memorable. Presumably after the "failure" of Pre-sequel, management decided to bring back more of the original cast to pander to the fans, but I think it's a detriment to the story. The game tries to shoe in so many people that we don't really have time to stop and engage with them. As soon as a chapter's done, their 5 minutes of fame are over, and we get some new faces for the next chapter. Unless they're from the previous games, like Lilith, Hammerlock, and Tannis, those guys are around for the whole game. But I don't have to build relationships with them, those already exist. So I don't get a chance to build anything new and meaningful; it's either nostalgia or relationships too shallow to be interesting.

The game's also pretty buggy. I've had my mouse stop moving the camera and instead just act as a pointer on-screen during the game. The map is pretty buggy, sometimes I can't zoom or scroll or pan, and when I try to pan I end up fast-travelling by accident. I guess these are mouse-specific bugs, maybe it's not an issue with a controller. Alt-tabbing makes the game crash way more often than it should, and sometimes it even causes the game to switch screens in my multi-screen setup. Some bullets would occasionally be invisible. The game also crashes every now and then, citing memory location errors. Receiving a Teams call also closes the game outright, just don't tell my boss.

Anywho, if you can't get enough of Borderlands, then you should get Borderlands 3. If you feel like you want something new from Borderlands, don't get Borderlands 3. If you want to get into Borderlands, save your bandwidth and cash and get B2.

This trope will be repeated 'ad nauseam' throughout the story and DLCs. This kills any replayability; going through the story once is more than enough.

That’s a shame because the gunplay, level design and soundtrack are pretty good.
But even then, the game is buggy. The game crashed, the interface was sometimes unresponsive, and two quests got stuck, even though the community had flagged the bugs months prior.

Elemental damage can be so much BS which drains the health all the way to zero (which sucks when no enemy about to leech a second wind off). Activating Iron Bear with Moze just before negates the elemental BS attacks (and anything near death), I found Moze a good character for a solo run. Anything that vampires health is also very useful in solo runs. Only in co-op can a player be usually revived by another player. I think the robot character pet can do it though?

This game is all about loot and chasing the next gun, nade, shield, boost, etc. Sometimes it can be annoying swaping out a fave fun gun due to levelling up making it to weak against higher levels.

Borderlands series used to be intentional parody and satire. This time Borderlands 3 writing is looks like it was written by bunch of angry feminists and guys who have issues with the girlfriends boyfriends? So yeah it’s loads of fun to laugh at (not with). Hey are we supposed to like Ava? All she does is get people killed and shout at other people for it?

However my main gripe has to be the cringiness of the characters and boring story, therefore this lowers the score a bit for me personally.
However, as a pure looter shooter BDL3 is one of the best, and truth be told, i even think it exceeds the previous games.
The fact that they cut some parts out of the story and sold it separately (not referring to season pass) also doesn't help. I personally hate this cash grabbing scheme a whole lot!
So in all fairness i would rate this game between 7.5 and 8 but not above because it's overall lacking in several ways. However i can only speak for the PC version on Epic, so it might be a bit better on other programs and whatnot.
But for me, it's certainly not going to be as memorable as with the previous titles so yeah it is what it is. The game is great, yet not as epic as could be for me.

Borderlands 3 has by far the best gunplay in the whole series, which is the only thing that stops it from being scored a zero in my mind. HoweverBorderlands 3 has by far the best gunplay in the whole series, which is the only thing that stops it from being scored a zero in my mind. That being said I felt no challenge while playing this game on the hardest difficulty available. That isn't a brag either, I'm notoriously **** at videogames, and I have yet to feel as though the game has really presented me with a challenge. However since I snagged the game for free I feel obligated to complete the main campaign. This task is proving to be rather daunting as the painfully unfunny humor from 2 and the pre-sequel is back in full force. I concede there are characters that I do enjoy but they have fallen by the wayside and are only there for a short while to make room for shrill ear splitting voices and childish humor. At times where I catch a moment of calm, almost serious character moments such as a side quest where a woman takes the time to somberly recollect on the fact that her brother killed all their other siblings and would have done the same to her almost made me feel invested in the world. Only for moments later for a different side mission where a man is stuck in an outhouse and everything is screaming in my ear again. What's worse yet is the characters, in Borderlands they have always been weak but it feels the more times they bring them back the more times they feel less like people and more like walking dick joke dispensers. Tanis in the first one was a somber scientist that had to contend with the fact that she was the last survivor of her research crew. In Borderlands 2 & 3 she is a generic mad scientist trope. Vaughn and Rhys feel like the charm from Tales has been completely sucked out of them. Ellie, Claptrap and Tina are as annoying as ever and I long for death every time I hear their voices. Finally there is the games biggest problem character and I would say missed opportunity. Ava. I looked into the extended content and I was shocked to find two actually well written scenes with her. the Sharing of Maya's death and the funeral, scenes that were cut from the game. Scenes that would have made her go through growth and introspection. I encourage you to see them for yourselves because it is mind boggling how they could think it a good idea to cut such pivotal scenes for a characters development.

I can only assume it was so the cost of finishing those scenes didn't cut into Randy bottom line of cash he could pocket and shaft his employees bonuses on. Allegedly.

I wanted to like this game but I just couldn't get into it. i've played other borderlands games before and had a great time spraying bullets mindlessly. This game looks great and plays well but the story and progression felt bad to me. If you want the 'Borderlands' loot' n shoot then this is a definite upgrade from older games. If you want a good continuation from the previous games then I think this may disappoint. I'd definitely recommend this game if on sale.

    POSITIVES:
    - Graphics look great. It's the same art style but look a lot cleaner and leaner
    - Guns feel good to shoot. Bullets aren't slow and actually feel like they make an impact
    - Ton of custom gun options. Each gun can have different modifiers and will have you grinding loot to find your perfect gun
    - Still plenty of potty humor

    NEGATIVES:
    - Progression feels a little too quick and it feels like you outgrow guns very quickly. This leads to constantly switching to higher level weapons in order to deal decent damage (hard to get attached). Also the amount of rare/legendary weapons that you acquire take out the feeling of accomplishment.
    - Character that you can pick from are rather generic in terms of personality. They also all felt kind of out of date with their references (a little cringe)
    - The main villains weren't very compelling and got old quick. They kind of felt like a boomer's perspective on zoomers.
    - There were definitely points in the story that could have been completely avoided but somehow managed happen. Really killed the vibe of the game to me.

The villains: They are so bad and cringe i cant even find the right words for them. I mean sure it is hard to make another good villain after Handsome Jack but come on they went from "One of the best" to "The worst" with one step.
The loot: Loot is worth nothing in this game. I had been flushed with epics and legendaries on my first normal run of this game. At the end i had like 50 legendaries in my stash and my gear was orange-purple.
They **** up looting in a loot shooter.
The sound design: I played as Moze, and idk what they where thinking but the sound design is so annoying and bad. If you sprint for aroun 10 seconts she starts panting permanently and loudly and no, you can't turn that off. Why even add that panting ? This game has no stamina system so its complete useless and just annoys the player for no reason.
The **** I mean Borderlands had strong female caracters from the first game on, but let the story 90% of the time get's carried by women just seems overdone.
There are exactly 3 male persons that are important for the story, and 2 of them are robots, it's just awnkard how hard they tried.
The story: It's not exactly bad, its just boring and you can predict most of the stuff happening. Also having one of the main (female) persons have a heroic sacrifice to safe the entire universe with a never seen or used power is just.... bad storytelling
The fanservice: Well most not-female persons from the previous games just have briefly apperances. Even in the final battle they are just not there and completely unimportant. Just sad to dump so many good caracters

Just couple things that are really annoying. First is MANDOTORY EXTRA LONG TUTORIAL multiplied by 4. So 4hours just to see whom you want to play as. And another issue is claptrap, he's too stupid to have any entertainment value.

Meh. It's not awful but it's nowhere near the quality of the other games in the series. It can scratch the Borderlands itch if you're a hardcore fan but even then I wouldn't pay full price.

why do people give such bad ratings for this game?
the gameplay is so smooth, weapons are great, you can play so many builds on all characters...

    9/10 for gameplay
    6/10 for story
2/10 for dlc's ridiculously high prices and cosmetic micro transactions

It's a Borderlands game. Not as good as the others in the series seems to have lost a bit of its soul. But mote hames are like that lately, is it because of Covid and the game companies have to work isolated and it turn the game suffers from none of the human interactions between devs as they make it?

I enjoyed Borderlands 3 with no major issues. After beating it I didn't really have any desire to play through again or to continue grinding, and I was happy with what it was for what it was.

About halfway through the game, and I can confirm the game itself is very fun. My only criticisms would be that the humor is a huge step down, and the performance issues and bugs are...bad. That said, even in this state, the game does not deserve a '0'. What a joke.

I personally did not experience any major issues with game. The only noticieable issue was lag in the inventory. However, the story was terrible and twins were so annoying. I was hyped and was disappointed by this. Gameplay was nice and there were more vehicles and more guns but twins gave me a heada

I made an account just to explain what this game makes me feel.

"HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW KIDS!!?"

Gameplay is fun. Writing ages me 20 years. Ava needs to go back into the pit where she belongs.

While the story and content is a little lacking in challenge, if you enjoy mindlessly shooting enemies and not really having to try hard, it works. The PC version runs 100% better than the ps4 version.

The game is passable at best, but more so hindered by poor support for anything more than a 16:9 & 16:10 aspect ratio. It's seriously not hard to code UI scaling into an engine, please grow up and learn to optimize accessibility for all users' gearbox.

This is the best borderlands as a shooter, but there is 2 real big problems:
    1. Main story - just terrible.
    2. Characters to play are not interesting itself.

But I like a lot how the weapon feels, the dynamics, the process of killing mobs .

Great game! Although I did puke in my mouth a little when I saw Randy Pitchford's name in the credits. Just a natural reaction when I see his name... oh.... just happened again. Not sure why all the 0's. Maybe because I waited to play it once all the hootenanny with the bugs was settled.

I've become a fan of the Borderlands series. It's true. The first one was great. I can say the same for number two. Even The Pre-Sequel made me happy. Even The Pre-Sequel made me happy. I finally got around to the third one, and I was... disappointed. Let's begin. So, what caught my eye right away was the graphics, which just didn't move much. Sure, it doesn't have much to do, but I also thought it was worse than the second one. But what struck me even more was the PC optimization, which was just absolutely awful. When playing the game I was using the graphics card 100% and all the time. At the beginning I played the game on maximum details, but after a while I dropped it to the lowest so I wouldn't have such a heavy load on the GPU. The game even looked better on low details than high in my opinion. The way the textures weren't so smoothed out and everything was suddenly so sharp it got more of that Borderlands feel, at least in my opinion. Personally, I recommend you try putting the game on lower details. This is purely my opinion, but for me it just looked more Borderlands that way. As for the story, it's not bad here, but on the one hand, it's not great either. The main female baddie is pretty cool, but the final fight with her just doesn't have the same feel as the ones from previous installments. On top of that, the ending was a bit too long for me. The developers added a new environment, but I still don't like the final one. I'm talking about the locations in the city. The ones in the countryside although not reaching the quality of the ones from the previous games were fine, but the city passages I didn't like much, because when I say Borderlands, I think of the desert or the winter locations from the second game. I understand that the developers wanted to give us something new, but personally I feel negative about this change and I just don't want the city in Borderlands. But now I want to get to those other locations, like the legendary Pandora, which just isn't the real Pandora here. I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that there isn't that delicious music playing in the background like in one, or maybe it's the fact that the game just has a little bit of a different graphical style from one and two, but it just doesn't feel right here. Just loading it up I was wondering what it was supposed to be. It doesn't look bad, but I liked it better before. Anyway, on to the inventory. I'm sorry, but for me, it's disgusting. I really couldn't get used to the inventory for the whole game, and although I started to get the hang of it after a while, I longed for the old one from 2. In my eyes, the inventory here was cluttered and quite ugly to boot. As I said the whole game looks a bit ugly to me and I'm not a fan of the way health bars, inventory, dropped items and the like look. Not to criticize the game, I can praise the fact that when you open an object and money flies out of it, your character takes it immediately and you don't have to deal with anything. Maybe it's not as satisfying as when you used to press the button to grab item, but every now and then it's a cool novelty, for example if you're in a hurry and want to loot something quickly in the middle of a fight, it's a bit easier here than it was before. Borderlands is of course all about loot and you can loot weapons here which are also awesome, on the one hand again I'm not that much of a fan. I'll explain. There are new guns that resemble proper Assault Rifles and they look gorgeous, yes, but they're more into Battlefield or Call of Duty and not quite into Borderlands. So I commend the developers for that, they added some of those new guns that on one hand spoil that Borderlands vibe a bit. To sum it all up. For me, this is an unnecessary sequel that further unnecessarily spoils the name of the series. It's not a bad game, I'm not saying that, but it's just far from the quality of the previous ones. I'd rather there had never been a third installment. I understand the developers and it's a fact that they were given a pretty tough task and to surpass the second part was kind of impossible, but unfortunately Borderlands 3 is not only not equal to Borderlands 2, but to any part of the series and is far below them in quality. Worse visuals with worse locations compounded by horrible optimization and just no, not this... As someone who turned on Borderlands 1 back then saying I'll give it a try when everyone is talking so much about what a blast it is and then was so absolutely enthralled with the game that he had to go straight to the second game and then the Pre-Sequel and was so hyped for the third installment, I ended up walking away disappointed. I'm sorry, but for me this is a mediocre sequel that I can't recommend. Expand

Даже с самого начала, на моменте объединения с друзьями в лобби, уже приходилось плясать и стучать в бубен, иногда даже друг другу.Эту хмм, игру, хоть немного спасало только то, что я играл с друзьями. Gearbox has a problem: the fantastic Borderlands 2 is too good to be beaten. But in the case of Borderlands 3, it is still more than a worthy successor. The filmmakers brought many pop-cultural references, maybe pushing too hard on how they want to be “modern”, but otherwise it's a great game again. [Issue#298]

Borderlands 3 offers a generous experience, with colourful characters, neat gameplay and a charming universe. Its formula, very close to that of the previous episodes does not revolutionize the show but its small new features bring a little freshness and the scenario makes us want to go to the end of the adventure. Its dynamism and nervousness make it a choice piece for adrenaline-ready FPS lovers and license fans.

The fun, humorous storyline, some great dialogue and theatrical accents of the diverse characters, beautifully varied locations and the same great gunplay that Borderlands is renowned for, means that Borderlands 3 becomes another must have title in the series.
