    Blade Assault is kind of like its protagonists at the beginning of the game in that they’re both unwelcoming and it’s a bit of a chore to find the good stuff buried within. Those willing to put in the time and practice may find a rewarding experience, but there are plenty of other games out there that provide far more memorable action than this.

    One thing Blade Assault does right is that by the end players will feel sufficiently powerful with lightning and projectiles flying off of them at all sides. This alone would be redeeming, except powers are so limited that every run is going to end up nearly exactly the same. The general repetition in levels, power and challenge kill any long term enjoyment. It is fun for a quick romp, but hardly recommended in the growing field of roguelike games.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Киберпанковый 2D action rogue-lite platformer на 13 часов при одной вариации прохождения.

    Из минусов:
    - баланс умений и прокачки, одни скилы максимальный юзлес, другие овер имба разрывающие всё и вся.

    Из плюсов:
    - атмосферный сетинг киберпанка.
    - вариативность прохождения: в плане билдов, выбора оружий и персонажей, в игре при потном прохождении можно зависнуть на месяцы.
    - игра задает челедж не хуже соус лайков, обучайся и преодолевай себя, не можешь? Откисай с самого начала игры вновь и вновь, а когда ты всё же осилишь игру, она шлепнет тебя по лицу и скажет 'это только начало, впереди еще 15 уровней сложности чел камон!'.
    - сносный дизайн боссов и мобов.

    P.S. строгое прохождение на геймпаде - супер кайф (геймплей на клаве просто ужасен).
