1 Because the game is VERY good, problem is you can't actually PLAY because every time it just crashes to desktop! Every 20/30 min it just crashes with no reason and it's going on since the RELEASE! It's been WEEKS! I hope in a better future agencies like Antitrust will do something about EA and such because this is SELLING AN UNFINISHED, CRASHING PRODUCT! Totally disgusted!

The spawns are horrid even in a game mode like rush where you would think it would take no effort to spawn you away from your enimies, if you think that then youre WRONG.

And as for the maps, these maps are the worst pile of dog splooge ive ever come across, this one map wich i already forgot the name of is so bad i had to give it a -5/10, you spawn as attackers in a big open field, and as for the defender they get some of the best clipping spots in shooter game history, as you just as an attacker are destined to die over and over untill you run out of tickets.

So all in all this is probably one of the worst shooters ive played within the last 3 years MW 3 being the other one

Don't release a game that's heavily dependent on it's online aspects when it's clearly not ready.

It still has much work to be done on it so I don't think i'll advise anyone into actually buying it any time soon either.

I've gotten maybe 5 minutes of actual, satisfying gameplay out of it without crashing. I am very confused with these straight 10 votes on here as this game is incomplete. It was clearly rushed Do not purchase this game. Wait for it to be fixed and the price to come down. The fact that I paid 60 Euros for a Beta Test environment is outrageous. Its basically a map pack. EA doing what it does best milk your loyalty for cash.

Not only is the game full of bugs, not only does it crash CONSTANTLY, it just isn't interesting anymore! Take graphics out of the equation, by far the best in this series has been Battlefield 2. Where to start... I'll start with the good features of battlefield: 64 player multi-player, good weapon customization, and platoon based clans / large player grouped communities.

Here is what they got wrong: They pushed the game out in an unfinished state back in October of 2013; ever since then it's just been one giant beta test (funny story, they already did a beta test before releasing the game) to try to get the game in somewhat decent condition. It's been a full year now since the release of the game, and they managed to fix "some" of the bugs and glitches. (For some reason, they also had their Battlepack micro transactions perfectly intact during launch, but the game was broken). The single player campaign is a joke, as it's only purpose is showing off the features of the game's features and capabilities, rather than gameplay. A great example of this is with the 3rd mission "South China Sea", you enter the remains of an aircraft carrier to find a data stick. during the mission, you have to go under water to get to another area of the mission. This segment had no effect on the gameplay or story, but only served to show off the underwater physics and effects. As of October 8th, 2014, they have release nearly all of their dlc; so I might as well review those pieces of content as well.

China Rising: This dlc is OK, as it provided maps that appealed to all the classes in the game. However, the "Levelutions" are missing from these maps; they either rushed this expansion out as well, or decided that levelution was just to much for the engine of the game (or to much of a gimmick for anyone to care about).

Second Assault: This is basically a couple of maps from Battlefield 3 that they implemented into Battlefield 4. This map pack is actually pretty good as it added weather "levelutions" to some of the maps and improved on the already well known maps.

Navel Strike: oh my god; what didn't they mess up on this map pack (this is where I started to really have problems with their game). First of all, the weapons in this expansion are either over powered (AWS, AR160), ore are the weakest, most worthless guns in the game (SR338, SW40). Textures would start rendering as i played (on all their maps including vanilla maps), and for some stupid reason, my FPS was throttled down during gameplay (unless i restarted my PC every time I wanted to play BF4). These aren't the only issues I had with this expansion pack; the map designs sound cool (with island warfare and attack boats ), but fails in gameplay. Traversing the maps are a chore if you don't have a boat or an air craft. objectives are easy to hold once you clear the island of enemy players (cause boats and choppers are sky-lined in the big empty water). Also this expansion had the BIG reveal of the mystic Megaladon; honestly, they put more work into a prehistoric shark, than they did fixing their own game.... let that sink in...

Dragon's Teeth: Same as China Rising, but with levelutions.. so it's an OK expansion.

Conclusion: Do I want to play a game that requires me to restart my computer in order to get maximum performance?

Do I want to play a game where the developers put more effort into Easter Eggs and forum events than fixing the game?

Do I want to play a game that's still in beta testing (yes it's still in beta testing, it's called Battlefield CTE. CTE = Community, TEST, Environment)?

The answer is no. I did have high hopes for this game, I really did. However, this game ultimately failed to deliver. DICE should be ashamed of themselves for: 1.) releasing the game in a broken state. 2.) failing to fix the game in a timely manner. For me, Battlefield 4 ruined the reputation of DICE as a development team. I'm sorry DICE, but i'll never play one of your games again, not after what I experienced with BF4.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. BF4 has been out three months and there has been some improvement although many serious issues remain after several patches from EA. The game doesn't crash nearly as often (but it still crashes). Lag and stuttering have been reduced too although not eliminated. The audio no longer suddenly disappears on certain maps. However many core problems remain, e.g. what you see and what your opponent sees not being in sync, leading to many outraged comments by players about being "shot around corners". Of course EA (and this game's developer, DICE) couldn't fix a sandwich without breaking the whole kitchen, and every patch has fixed some things while breaking others. There was a bug where players you had clearly shot still showed 100% health when they spun around and killed you. Now, they instead show 0% health, making it look as if you were just killed by a dead player (leading to much yelling and screaming in the game's text chat). There has been so much angry commentary from disappointed Battlefield players that it got the attention of the mainstream media leading to EA's stock price taking a hit. EA has also ordered DICE to suspend work on expansion packs for BF4 and get all their programmers working on fixing bugs, but there are so many bugs, and I wonder if some of them really cannot be fixed because the basic structure of the game contains hopeless flaws. EA has actually been issuing refunds to some purchasers of BF4 provided they hadn't played many hours (many of them could not play at all).

So, while BF4 has been partially repaired it is still a coin toss if you will find it an enjoyable game or an experience more irritating then entertaining. I know several people with new fire-breathing gaming computers who have just as much trouble running BF4 as those of us using less powerful machines. So be warned; while BF4 is terrific when it is working and shows huge potential, it is still a buggy and annoying product needing a lot of work. If you haven't bought it yet you are probably better off waiting awhile to see how far the repair work gets (and how much EA drops the price) because Battlefield 4 still has some serious problems.

EA DICE buys millions in adspace from IGN, so it's no surprise their review is entirely irrelevant and biased.

So, here's a completely unbiased review from an actual Battlefield fan - one who has owned every single iteration of the franchise to-date:

The is probably the worst launch of a AAA title I have ever seen. It is entirely unconscionable that the game was shipped in such a broken state. The bugs range from unusual to game-breaking, and you don't have to look very far at all to find them. While BF3 felt rushed with its short development schedule, huge list of features that were never fully realized - not to mention promises that were never delivered, it is nothing compared to the state of BF4.

Several developers have anonymously stated that although they knew the game had not passed QA (what we used to call bugtesting), they went ahead and shipped the game anyway.

Whatever happened to finishing a project before you sold it. EA / DICE has gone over the line with this game, they've sold half a product with a promise to fix the rest later. A promise only delivered after a huge backlash against their broken game. I have since abandoned it, and I would caution anyone who values their money to avoid this title. Premium is a joke, as the DLC maps are - unsurprisingly - unfinished. Jets that can't take off on the runways, areas of the maps where models do not clip properly, MAJOR netcode issues, major vehicle unbalances...the list goes on and on.

Also, as has been mentioned elsewhere, the developers have added in RUSH only as an afterthought. The maps are so poorly balanced as to make some of these maps unplayable. It's clear that whoever is in charge at EA/DICE is just directing the team to create as much content as possible, spend no time proofreading their code or testing it, and pushing these broken, half-products to market as quickly as possible.

Like I said, I have owned every other game in the series prior to this point, and I am MASSIVELY disappointed. So much so that I have abandoned my favourite series, fool me once, shame on you, I won't be around to see how much worse the next Battlefield is.

    PROS:

    Cons:
    -Dying behind corners constantly
-"Trading kills" 95% of the time I die.
-I've seen my sniper bullets literally go through my enemy's head, he wasn't even injured.
-Vehicle collisions are the worst. A dirtbike could slightly nudge your tank and you would go all over the place. Mario Karts on the N64 has better vehicle physics
    - The Attack Helicopter is still a flying coffin to this date
    - AA can destroy air vehicles at enemy spawn, even when the AA is at his own spawn on most maps.
    - AA is still overpowered
    - Developers have given up on the game and are going to announce a new one. Last patch was 2 months ago and this game has an endless list of bugs
-Childish, Hello Kitty and Spongebob vehicle camos. I didn't buy BF4 to watch other kids live out their anime dream in a military shooter.
    - Most people either crash, freeze, or have low FPS (not me anymore)
    - AC130. Why? Not only is it on like every map, it is almost unstoppable. There is still a glitch (that lasted 2+ patches) where you're AC10 rockets don't register on the enemy and where enemy jets/helis can't damage you even when direct shots are fired.
