EA last purchase for me. They've completely killed the team play, cooperation and epic battles for which the battlefield series are known, and put great graphics for all the COD kids to be happy with. No commander? No general orders? No voice in-game? Cya EA.

Sure, most games don't recognize the card, but they still run very well when I adjust the settings to what the card can do. The last time a game lagged like this it was because of dust getting on the card. You could have a card+processor that can run Total War: Shogun 2, but if it's Intel, you will have 3 FPS on low settings. While looking at the ground. Expand

He mentioned nothing about the customers who don't receive any support, but they do receive an unpolished product. Haven't the gamers had enough already? This is how gamers lost the "right" for a properly released game, long time ago. Now, we're gonna lose the right even for after-sale support. They just release games with hundreds of bugs and glitches, and nothing is going on! I won't even mention about the horrible Single Player part of the game. Generally unacceptable and hence the negative rating. I'm trying to objective and wish the best for us, the gamers. I didn't pay for "premium" cause I thought, that way I'd support their model. For the amount of money you spend on the game, one would expect it to work. I have spent more time figuring out bugs rather than playing it. They should advertise it as an online multiplayer game because it certainly isn't a singleplayer game. My experience with BF3 leaves me only to say, this game sucks.

Though we can't really say that the console versions were great, the game still had a reason to be played, even if preceding titles were superior in aspect.
Graphics: Stunning visuals are nice, but it is to mask some of the graphical glitches that you will eventually encounter, but it can be negligible if you want gameplay experience. Gameplay: Not better than Bad Company 2, but still worth a try. The principles of Battlefield is still incorporated for the most part with long range gun engagements, vehicle and aircraft based fighting for a realistic combat environment. Though not entirely realistic, it provides something different from Call of Duty where everything is blatantly arcade. Players require effort for certain fighting distances and or methods and must take some tactical strategy in to mind. You can't just run in and expect to kill 7 enemies all in one go if they all know you're there, (unless you were in a tank, plane or if the players were entirely oblivious to the attacker)
Replayability: It provides a good amount of replayability, as long as you can enjoy the game modes. Single Player Campaign was far too linear but it's still worth saying that Multiplayer is decent. At least you can call Battlefield more hardcore than Call of Duty, which perceives itself as hardcore when in utter reality it is not.
Other opinions: Just play the game. If you don't like it, then that's your opinions and views and we have no obligation to change that by our own behalf, though it's always great to consider that this game can be more worth playing than certain other games that can be considered mediocre. Casual gaming is overtaking the market hence why many game companies take action to appeal to them, which is a disappointing truth that many of us may have to accept one day, but sometimes is just good to appreciate what they have given rather than complain about what they don't provide from the older games. Battlefield 3 in its own right deserves a decent score for being an attempt to compete with other contemporary shooters and still provide some sort of competition.

Furthermore, the comments about how great the multiplayer is are a fantasy cooked up in the minds of those craving another battlefield title. Battlefield 1942 was amazing and innovative on release, Battlefield 3 is another same old, same old with the added ability to fly planes and drive tanks. While entertaining at times, I'd hardly call it 'original'. Personally, I don't believe that the best people are those, who say they are best. BF got raped massively, and the result is unbelievably expensive game, which no one of my first-person shooter friends actually plays. It's not on steam. So sure about themselves. Damn EA.

It was just the dummiest most stupid kind of mass marketing I've ever seen. And behind it a game full of bugs, half-finished at the release, for astounding 50 euros... C'mon, you can't be serious.

If this game was called Bad Company 3 I would give is an ok rating.. Unfortunately as it is meant to be a sequel to Battlefield 2, it got everything wrong.. I cannot think of anything in this game that I truly like, so much so I stopped playing it after about 60hrs of forcing myself to like it.. This from someone who racked up thousands of hours on BF2 over the years.. Bad Job EA..

The single player is just plain rubbish. Just boring and uninspired. The co-op is just as bad, but the multiplayer is one of the most fun one can have online in a game. Unlike many other online shooters, this makes you play as a team, and rewards team players.

I have little to praise about this game. The graphics, while not terrible, have some really overdone effects such as the glare filter being not only unrealistic but quite annoying. I don't think the people at Dice know what outside looks like. At the same time, every map seems to consist of just different shades of one color, because that's realistic looking apparently. I don't think the people at Dice know what outside looks like. At the same time, every map seems to consist of just different shades of one color, because that's realistic looking apparently. The destructible environments, while not terrible, are inconsistent and there are plenty of times where a chunk of a building will be indestructible yet it looks exactly like a piece that you can destroy. The weapons are made so the ranges on them are terrible even on regular assault rifles, forcing you to get up close and personal with your target. This is probably done to make it seem more intense, to cover up for some lazy gun programming on the developers part. For anti-aircraft launchers, their range is also extremely limited. I assume this is to balance game-play (Because war is known for being balanced), but it only forces you to get right next to the vehicle you are aiming at to hit your target with one of these. I'd like to point out that the missiles in this game, again in what seems to be an attempt to balance the game out, go incredibly slow, and most vehicles can actually outrun your shot even if it is locked onto them. What a genius idea. A vehicle outrunning a missile, because missiles are known for moving slow. Overall, coming from a battlefield fan, this probably wont please fans of the series as all it does is add a shiny coating and make the game look nice, instead of having good game-play. Even the features such as the graphics that people seem to praise a lot are honestly not that great, and while it's not necessarily awful, there are much better online FPS games that you could probably spend your money on. It doesn't do anything new, which wouldn't be bad if it did what it does well, but sadly it seems like an attempt to cash in on the series name. If you want a BF game, stick to one of the classics, and hope that the future ones will be better, though judging by the sales of this, things look grim. Expand

It's fun to play, fairly well balanced, and it is updated far more than any other battlefield was. Now the major part of the game, the multiplayer. The gameplay is great, but one thing that really kicked me in the ass is the Battlelog system. What it basically decides to do with stat-saving is not save your stats when you get extremely good stats, and when you play poorly and get bad stats, it saves that for you, and in the end your stats get screwed to oblivion because the system decided not to save the stats of half your games. It essentially destroys the experience by giving you nothing when you put effort into playing the game, and sucker-punches you when you don't, and instead of feeling fulfilled when a round is completed, you are left sitting there, crossing your fingers and hoping that it saves your stats from that round. Thanks a lot, Battlelog.

didn't. Electronic Art's Digital Illusions CE (EA-
DICE) has long led the sector in realism, drawing you into the war, evoking emotions previously reserved for games scripted almost as much as movies. In Battlefield 3's campaign mode, however, the gameplay is slow, predictable and doesn't make you feel as though you are making a difference. The multiplayer game is sculpted so carefully that it would be concievable to forget that it was pre-made at all.
The multiplayer game is incredibly chaotic, often trancending the constraints of a traditional video game, with small actions radically changing the simulated world and rendering some strategies and equipment useless, while simultaneously granting opportunities people using others. Many items in the maps are destructible, so a well placed RPG can destroy almost any sniper nest, an accutate pistol shot can destroy a helicopter, and a exellently piloted helicopter can take on a small army. Boats, Planes, Anti-Aircraft Guns, Helicopters, Tanks, JAVELIN missiles, and hundreds of guns are ready for use, a well put together social interface (BattleLog) allow for infinite combinations, and the scoring system favors teamwork over kamikaze raids.
Battlefield 3 brings with it many annoyances, and thousands of quirks. The beautiful graphics and chaotic multiplayer almost outweigh the lack of a decent campaign mode, but alas this game fits into the category filled with thousands of games made for quick and easy fun, lacking challenge, and full of cliched elements. Battlefield 3 was expected to be the next iteration of the interesting and innovative game-play of the previous Battlefield games, not the repetitive and annoying habits of cheap action books, movies and games. The wow factor of the graphics can almost overcome the problems, but DICE has grown weary of the fight, and has decided that one botched campaign cannot possibly cause them to lose their grip on the gaming battlefield.

But STILL better than Call of Duty (yes, I have to mention it) and most games being released anymore. Gameplay is smooth with small innovation (the parkour), vehicles run excellent and have well-balanced combat, personalization is fun but not overdone, and balancing features are decent (scope reflection).
Honestly, it's worth the money to get the game vanilla, and only get the DLCs you see you'll like. DON'T GET PREMIUM. But if you're looking for a truly great place to spend your money, find a way to donate to the Black Mesa Team (legally impossible, since it's a mod). They could have eliminated it completely and knocked 20 bucks off the price. There are quick time events that add absolutely nothing interesting or valid to the game play, the story is weak, the characters are unlikeable...even the main character you play comes off as an ass you wish would just kill himself. Some gameplay elements make you want to ask "WTF was that there?" Also, other elements don't make sense. Using night vision on a tank in the middle of a bright clear day, not having night vision goggles when running around in the dark. The designers also insist you play the game on their terms leaving you no choice in equipment load-out basically being forced into whatever gear the character you "leap" into has. The levels are linear to a fault leaving no room to pick and choose strategies. You spend most of the time following someone else around and doing what they tell you to do. You almost feel like you're playing a rail shooter (and some instance you are) having no control over anything. side from all that the front end for the game is one of the worst. I didn't have to bother with the excuse that is Battlelog or Origin, because I was fortunate enough to use the console versions, which for one of the few times is an improvement from the PC. Initially, I really enjoyed the game, from the balanced guns to the awesome destruction physics and how Battlefield 3 really does incorporate team play. But after a while, the game has become almost as infuriating to me as playing Black Ops or MW2. The constant glitches with non-working glitches, the horrible hit detection from the net code, the horrible collision impact between proning halfway between walls and explosions not doing enough or too much damage, and most importantly, how the graphics completely betray your line of sight. I don't get why a "realistic shooter" thinks that "realism" is that every panel, wall and character needs to be sprayed with the colors Brown, Tan, Gray and BLUE! seriously, those are literally the only colors they have in that game! it is literally impossible for me to get my bearings on what I'm looking at, who my teammates are, who my enemies are, or what control points I'm on. The FPS on that game isn't too much of a bother to me as to others, but the blatantly poor SinglePlayer and the not worthwhile Co-Op really does hinder the value of this game. This game doesn't deserve a 0, due to some technical appeal that the game does have, but it doesn't deserve a 10 because it is FAR FROM PERFECT. They had to rush this in, without giving any thought to consumer criticism and only thought of trying to beat MW2 in the economic arms race of "realistic shooters". Battlefield 3 is such a disappointment because, once again, EA overhypes the game and believes in that "minimalist" value that they have been provoking lately. BF3 could've been a more impressive game, with all the chinks smoothened out, with a better promising Origin without your privacy ruined, and with DICE's promise of "all dlc's will be free!", I would rate this game at a 8 out of 10. My last suggestion to you is, DONT BUY BF4. please. Expand

DICE built Battlefield 3, using the new Frostbite 2 engine from the ground up, DICE has never been the one for story script, and Single Player has a weird cliche with Black Ops. Single Player has a minimal 3 hour campaign, the only upside to the Campaign is the Cinematics. They look almost realistic and it shows the real power of the Frostbite 2 engine. Now, Battlefield 3 is the first game on the Frostbite 2 Engine, so you will expect frequent bugs, but very rarely game-breaking. DICE is constantly doing maintence, and frequent updates to tweak and improve gameplay. Most people will hate it, and just give up on it because "they dont get any time on it". If you buy the game currently, expect a whooping 5GB of download. Of course some people won't care, but people on a fixed internet bandwith watch out, but besides that, you're running off the Web Browser with the PC Version, after a while you get used to it and actually enjoy it. It's got a lot of features to enhance your experience. I've actually measured it and concluded that 1 hour on Battlefield 3 is approx. 50MB, so after patches, it gets good.

Multiplayer is where it's all at. Single Player is very liner and scripted, Multiplayer is the exact opposite. Lots of varying weapons: 8-Primary, -Secondary (Sidearm),
-1st Gadget (Rocket Launcher, Medi-Kit, Ammo-Pack), -2nd Gadget (Repair Torch, Defibrillator, C4 Explosive) -then a perk (Ammo, Grenades, Sprint)

There's also four unique different classes:
Assault (Same as BFBC2, But now has Medi-Kit)
Support (BFBC2's Medic, Now has Ammo-Pack)
    Engineer (Same as BFBC2)
Recon (Same as BFBC2, but without explosives and added sensor gadgets)

Every gun has their own attachments, and the list goes on.

Vehicles are varied, and their are also a lot of perks coming with it. Tanks, IFV's, Jets, Heli's. PC is recommended since Console is pretty much handicapped, PC has a maximum of 64 Players while 24 for Console, controllers are considered a bit bugged and unreliable and the maps are reduced in size.

The only downside is that lag is common, you might find a few servers with little to no lag if you look properly. There is also very good players, so you will get trampled on your first few games, and there is also no VIOP, so consider getting Skype or something if you want to play with friends.

Co-Op is something to do with friends, its a bit boring, but it's something if you're sick of Multiplayer. Co-Op seems like something whipped up in the last second, but is very good on one mission to learn how to fly a heli. There is Matchmaking for Co-Op, but you cant talk to them directly and they leave most of the time.

Overall it's a very meaty game for war-crazed gamers. There is a lot of problems with DICE's Battlefield Premium asking for $50 for all the DLC's, while they cost $15 each. But that's for another time.

Overall it's 9/10, people love it, people hate it. The community can sometimes be jerks, but you will find some good guys.

    I suggest getting it.

I personally have trouble staying engaged in FPS games -- it just gets too repetitive. That said, I think EA really delivered for the FPS enthusiasts out there -- the graphics are outstanding, the *sound* is outstanding for knowing what's going on around you, and of all the FPS games I've played, this is definitely the best yet.

Battlefield is probably one of the most fun casual FPS games I've played. The campaign is uninteresting and doesn't really grip the player, however, the multiplayer is great to play online with friends. It supports teamwork, has enormous maps to run around on, vehicles to fight with, and none of the awful things that make up some of the more recent Call of Duty games.

This game is GREAT. The graphics, the sound, the music. This game is the best FPS i've played. The missions are full of action and its not run being shot. Is cover and shot with any kind of strategy. Really the best FPS of 2011.

Origin is a bit of nuisance but I've decided to rate the game and not the software. Anyway, my first impressions of BF3's multiplayer were good; the weapons feel much tighter than Bad Company 2 and the graphics are technically superb on ultra settings. I will also give credit to DICE for making a game which actually feels at home on the PC with optimised graphics and intuitive controls. Now to the negatives; despite the technical side of the graphics, they still carry that current-generation problem of being incredibly dull and colourless; I understand perhaps horror games might need it but games like Battlefield just don't benefit from it because everyone looks indistinguishable from one another against murky backgrounds. There's another thing, why are most of the environments either desert industrial or urban? Bad Company 2's lurid jungles were way more visually appealing than BF3's dull maps. Frostbite 2 might shine, but graphics will never be able to carry a game, I don't care how advanced your volumetric lighting is, the game should still be able to stand up without good graphics. All these problems would normally be quite small, but there is one massive problem I have with this game that just ended it for me; health amount. It may be acceptable in games like DayZ and ARMA that you die easily since they're both realistic simulations; but BF3 is not that sort of game. You can take about three hits before dying, making smaller fights not really a matter of who has the best aiming and skill as it is whoever spotted the other first. I'm sure BF3 will suit players who somehow like low HP and dull, samey maps, but for me Battlefield 3 was probably the most disappointing game of 2011. Expand

To be completely honest, I have never seen a mainstream game published with so many bugs and flaws. From little issues such as being able to shoot your gun straight ahead and you vault over a railing, to larger problems like broken weapon mechanics that take ages to be fixed.

There is currently no fps out there that even tries to make a shooter that feels more life-like than bf3. If you're looking for an arcade type shooter you should play CoD or Counter-strike

If you're looking for an arcade type shooter you should play CoD or Counter-strike (it's not a bad thing to want arcade games). However, BF3 will completely immerse you in a war-environment where cover and tactics matter.

Only gripe i have is with how suppression is right now since it makes bullets fly like they did with the AWP in CS 1.6. But it is definitely not a game breaker.

Reality is this is my worst battlefield expirience ever. First of all, it took me 3 days to actually get the game started. Since Origin is a worthless piece of junk, my account registeration failed 2 times in a row. I made an account, no error messages. I couldn't login so I tought they must have sent me a confirmation email of something and waited a day for that. Nothing happened so I made another account. Same thing. I decided to disable my firewall and try again. Magically a new screen appeared after registeration and it worked. How incompetant do you have to be to write a piece of software that doesnt work with a firewall and doesn't give an error message when it fails to connecto to EAs servers? Fine EA, I wont ever use Origin again. Steam FTW.

Now to the game. You would think that after months of patching the game would be pretty balanced and good. NOPE. Battlefield players always complain if their precious tank/helicopter can actually be destroyed. DICE has once again folded and made jets/helicopters impossible to hit with an RPG. Maybe the balance would be ok IF the pilots were newbies playing with a keyboard and mouse. Guess what DICE. After 9 months only hardcore players are left and pilots are using joysticks and know every trick in the book after playing the game for 100-300 hours. If you are like me and want to play battlefield as infantry, STAY AWAY from this game. To make matters worse, EA/DICE dont run official servers anymore so most servers are fan run servers with rules that make the balance even worse. Rounds that last for hours, faster vehicle spaws, ban if you use and RPG and so on.

But perhaps the worst offender in this game are the maps. They are so large that you cant do anything without vehicles. There are also so few maps that you cant arrord not liking a map. A map can be used with 3 different names for different modes, but the level is the same. Metro for example is just a camp fest, because of poor design. The game always stops in the same hallway, because there arent proper flanking possibilities. EA did the same as Activision did with COD. Start the series by shipping with tons of maps and only sell a few as DLC. Now both have started shipping the game with less and less maps and ripping you off by selling overprice map packs. I'm not going to buy back to karkand, close quarters or BF premium, because I hate the game. Give me more free maps and I might actually like the game if they are any good. Then I might buy DLC. I wont however support you ripping me off, EA.

Coming in as newbie is made even more frustrating by the awful unlock system. Not only am I playing an unbalanced game, I'm playing it against players with hundreds of hours of expirience and way better equipment. NO anti-air RPG is really nice when the enemy has air dominance. Need to play for hours to unlock even the most basic equipment. Reflex sight for example is a weapon specific unlock.

    Pros
    - Looks nice

    Cons
    - Origin...
    - Unbalanced (air vehicles are overpowered)
    - Frustrating, because of ridiculously slow unlocks
    - Not nearly enough maps and vanilla version maps are bad (be prepared to pay for back to karkand if you want any content)

So my advice is, buy all the content you can for Battlefield Bad Company 2 instead of buying this awful sequel. I put in over 100 hours into BC2 and loved every minute of it. BF3 at its best struggles to match BC2 at its worst. Bad Company is the proper refined version of the BF formula. BF3 goes back to a broken BF formula. Pretty graphics don't make up for a broken game.

But after a while I started realizing they have made the franchise utter sh*t by simplifying the game they obviously attracted a new user base. and by that I mean a bunch of casual COD kiddies. This doesn't Make anything better. I DICE even still had some of it's PC fanbase after battlefield: Bad Company. they have certainly lost it now. Also with EA's glorious DLC plan they have certainly stept in COD's footsteps. $15 for a couple of maps. With BC2 vietnam DLC they actually gave us a whole new experience. But the (upcomming) DLC's from BF3 are just ridiculous... It could have been in the original game. But no the allmighty EA had decided otherwise. DICE has literally sold their soul to EA. Lastly the Premium. as if the franchise hadn't copied enough of COD allready, EA wanted their own "Elite" service. It contains all the DLC that's going to be available, Ok that's pretty nice. But then they also have queue jumping. premiums get priority in queues over non premiums. So many knives in our backs, I can't keep track of it. I've literally waited a half hour in a queue to get on my favorite server because I got pushed back the whole time by premiums. This is just so mean to everybody who bought the game. And wait there is more! double xp weeks!! (have I said casual allready?) . everything that Battlefield once was, is now lost. the franchise might have 2 more succesfull titles with their new fanbase. But then it's over. EA will throw DICE in the garbage bin, just like they did with Pandemic. Expand

Battlefield 3 is a great sequal to Battlefield 2. The graphics is breathtaking but if you don't have a nice graphics card this game is not for you. The main problem that I have with the game is that I expected more.
The destruction is a let down from BFBC2 and the campaign is a bit boring and origin is a pain.

This game is 10 times better then COD thats why im giving it a score 3. The biggest thing in this game that bothers me is too much bloom in multiplayer and graphics arent really that good if you look very closely. There are no numbers for mouse sensitivity so i have to guess. No battlerecorder, battlelog is pain in the a**. Also hit detection is broken in multiplayer.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In this review im going to talk about Battlefield 3 and the other 2 "expansions".
This game is suppose to be a competitor of CoD, although i havent played that game ( apart from world at war ) so i cant judge that.
Battlefield 3 however i can judge after spending more hours then most "professional" reviewers from websites like IGN or whatever they call them.

    Frostbite 2

Battlefield 3 introduces the new Frostbite 2 engine which is nothing more then a updated version of the frostbite version we seen in Bad Company 2.
This engine had serious hitbox issues in multiplayer making multiplayer not worth the effort for a esports community.

Frostbite 2 has fixed this issue as much as they can, however since its a update they will never fix this completely.
Frostbite 2 did help alot with updating the graphics while keeping the game run smooth, you can run this game on a average pc and still make it look pretty good while having a stable fps.
On consoles the fps might be a bit lower and the graphics a bit less, however consoles are pretty much outdated now.
So its not really a suprise the graphics are that far behind, this is just one of the big disadvantages console users have.

    Gameplay

This is where a multiplayer focused game like BF3 has to shine, since we all know one of the major rules in online gaming: Graphics last for a week, gameplay lasts forever.
It seems EA has never heard of this rule though, since the gameplay is where this game is absolute pathetic.
First of all they went with the failed concept in the new so called "FPS" games and that is putting vehicles in the game.
Something not a single professional esports game ever had, ( seen any vehicles in counterstrike ? )
Also the so called "normal" mode the game is just pathetic aswell, health points on players is way to large basicly making the game "he who sprays first sprays best" game.
Taking about 15 bullets to 1 clip for 1 kill on normal isnt really helping.

On hardcore however the game is pretty decent for this and the gameplay pretty much fixes this, making the normal mode more of a "newbie" setting and hardcore the "pro" setting.

The 1st "expansion" is nothing more then a DLC with a few maps and guns so no point in going into detail there.

The 2nd "expansion" is basicly the same, however this is where they want to directly compete with CoD by making a cqb focused game.
EA however have never heard of gameplay it seems, CQB expansion is the biggest load of **** and even worse then the orginal BF3 game.
A huge amount of "lucky spawn" happening in the game also not disabling certain weapons.

What you can see in the expansion in SC2 they learned one other lesson which is "less is more", they remove a unit because its overpowered combined with a other unit.

This is something EA should have done aswell with the latest expansion, by removing weapons like shotguns in the CQB mode/maps you would have created a bit more balanced game.

The biggest problem in that expansion however though is the spawning in the maps, its simply pathetic that something like that passed the beta.
Clearly shows that EA has put 0% effort into testing that "expansion" with regards to gameplay, they basicly pulled of the same trick activision.
Which is release a new "expansion" with just a few maps and weapons and cash in.

    Community support

What makes or breaks a multiplayer focused game also depends on the community support the developer gives.
This however is a bit lacking in this game, they could have introduced a bit more support on their website for clans and tournaments.
At least something like a ranking system, which basicly every serious multiplayer game has.
A game that doesnt isnt a serious game for a esports community.

    Recap:

    Graphics : 8
    Sound : 7
    Gameplay : 4 Community support : 4

The average is obviously the single player, which, apart from its tank section, is a complete rip-off of previous Call of Duty games, from the linearity of progression and the setpieces, to even the type of flashback storytelling we saw in CoD Black Ops just last year. And while this would have been ok if the story or action were any good, the plot feels limp and emotionless and the action doesn't offer anything as exciting as its competitors or even its other game modes. The good mode is the co-op mode, which is a slightly more story based version of MW2 spec-ops. Its good because it puts 2 players in some cool situations, like where one player is flying a helicopter while the other player is the gunner, but unfortunately there are too few missions to truly make this a fleshed out mode, meaning that once you have unlocked the co-op exclusive weapons for multiplayer, you probably won't come back for more. The incredible mode is the multiplayer, which is quite possibly the biggest, most frantic and explosive multiplayer in modern gaming. Up to 64 players each doing their thing, forming squads, taking over flags, ruining the enemy teams day, is what Battlefield multiplayer is all about and it is way more exciting than any other game simply because of how free-form it all is. The combat situations a player can potentially get into offer far more excitement than any linear single player can ever hope to, and with tons of unlockables for the 4 classes and for all the vehicles, there's plenty to keep coming back to for months on end. Overall, it's like I said. The single player is just average, the co-op is good, not great, but the multiplayer is what makes this game a real must-buy for every shooter fan. Expand

Well. In short. We have official best game in history. singleplayer is like all other shooters around. Nothing special except too awesome graphics. Do not believe people comments that singleplayer is bad. It's just nothing special. I would not spend words about multiplayer because everybody know everything about that! Best gaming experience you may have! Period!

battlefield bad company..an awesome franchise..i was a little upset that battlefield 3 got rid of the the squad from the first two, but it is what it is. i was excited for the game.
I purposely got it on xbox so i would not have to deal with the horroshow that is origin..origin sucks..i do not care what you say, origin sucks..
so i purchased it for pc. i decided **** it, ill be open

so i installed it..come to find out? origin and battlefield seem to want to totally monopolize your PC.
the game is run in get this ready...get it..A ****ING WEB BROWSER, which constantly gives me script errors..i cant even play single player without loading stupid origin, and running off the web page..a web page for a game can you believe that ****
thats the biggest gripe for me honestly...the game play is good..the animations, the graphics, great..maybe the recoils a little rough on the weapons because my kill death ratio is garbage but thats neither here nor their..the single player feels kinda short..but it is what it is..can't do anything about it now..CAVEAT EMPTOUR-let the buyer beware..and i shoulda bewared it a little bit more..it would have gotten at least an 9..but the web browser killed it

Poor singleplayer made up for by great multiplayer is my choice of words for this game! Great decision to make it DX 10 only and in future 64bit only on other titles make them a developer who pushes the boundaries for thier games and it shows. The only gripe i have on this game is the very odd washed out/grey color or shader system and the bugs that still exist from beta.I still highlyPoor singleplayer made up for by great multiplayer is my choice of words for this game! It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.

No, Battlefield 3 is not the best game of today. But good looking – definitely. It also has an absolutely addictive multiplayer. Who needs more? [Dec 2011]

Both a triumphant leap forward and a return to form for the Battlefield series. This is the best multiplayer shooter on PC. [Christmas 2011, p.58]
