So i had high hopes for this game. At first i have to say i did not like the whole origin system, but the ability to keep on surfing the net till the moment i join the game is nice. Though i can't say the origin software does the game any favours.

The game looks incredible no matter what the settings. Now please keep in mind i bought this game purely for multiplayer at which time i have clocked about 20 hours.
The scale of combat is nothing short of amazing. I enjoy playing mainly the 64 player maps, both with and without vehicles.

Almost all the maps are thoroughly enjoyable. And with multiple play styles per map with different progression with the rush format. The sound effects of everything in the game is amazingly vivid and when the bullets and rockets go whizzing by you when you huddled in a corner with your vision blurred due to surpression fire, i don't think there is another game quite like it.

Can't say i have encountered many major bugs that ruined my experience. Occasionally there may be a piece of wall just floating in mid air because the rest of it got blown up. And there are the occasional play models who still look like their alive and standing up but they're actually dead.

My biggest gripe is i purchased 2x HD6950's for this game and found that no matter what i do (format/different drivers/no software install etc) the game seems to be incompatible with this game and will only allow me to play anywhere between 2 hr -5 mins before it crashes my whole system (usually the 5 mins occurs) i have given these cards to a friend to try out and am currently using a GTX580 and have no issues running it on ultra settings @ 1080.

What the game contains in multiplayer is solid and works great but as mentioned by a few other reviews , they have skipped some of the best features of the BF series (especially from bf2/2142) such as team commander and more specific orders for squad leaders. That would have to be my biggest disappointment with the actual gameplay.

Ive bought both BF3 for PC and MW3 for Xbox. MW3 wins to team death-match as BF3 is just too slow, however Rush and Conquest are brilliant. Its great to really work as a team instead of every man for themselves like in COD. Hours of fun. I can run everything in ultra on my GTX580 SOC no problems. There are a few bugs that can stop you from joining games or boot you from the session. And IIve bought both BF3 for PC and MW3 for Xbox. Love it, put nearly 200 hours into this game now, its not perfect, and I really wish DICE had put commander mode in again, but its still a great fun game to play with friends.

PT BR: Single player muito curto. Deveriam vender separadamente ambos os modos. Comprei um single player de 6 horas por 59 dólares??

The game looks astonishing however and the engine is by far and away the best looking game ever released it's just such a same that Dice never considered that people need to actually play a game while drooling at how pretty and shiny the world looks.
The key tactic to winning is to stay as far south as you can because anyone who isn't using night vision glasses (yes they block the sun out for some reason) won't be able to see anything as in this game everyone has cameras for eyes and despite being able to field millions of dollars of hardware apparently neither army can provide sun glasses... yes, the new feature in the engine is lens flare and dazzling so dice are determined to make you suffer as much as they possibly can.
Bringing us to the flash lights, quickly dubbed **** by the community, these were purely included for griefing reasons. They somehow manage to provide less light to the operators then the dim flashlights in left for dead yet anyone looking at them will have light blinding them with such intensity that they will feel like someone is trying to drill into their eyes to install their own personal supernova, you can inadvertently blind your own team if you forget to turn it off and might not even notice in anything but a pitch black room because the user sees 5 candle light yet observers see 2000000 candle power.
The game is very harsh and anyone new to the battlefield games is going to have a lot of deaths and frustrations but once again the game is fun and compelling proving the strength of the core ideas here.

Netcode is a little less buggy then previous games but still a long way from perfect.

The multiplayer is as near perfect as it gets. I personally can't figure out what i would add or take away from it.
The campaign on the other hand really needs some work. Bad Company 2's campaign wasn't that great either but the great graphics don't make up for the terrible mechanics. Fights get repetitive as enemy's seem to always have the same plan: SHOOT! HIDE! WAIT! SHOOT! DIE! A lot

Singleplayer: So singleplayer has never really been DICES strong point but they still manage to provide an enjoyable experience. Even though you can't topple as many buildings on your foes as you might like to driving a tank and reigning death in a fighter jet sure makes up for it. Overall singleplayer is an enjoyable that experience that for once has the Russians being on the good side!

Multiplayer: Lets face it this is why you bought Battlefield 3 and to be perfectly honest it's worth every single cent! Whether your a grunt leading the charge to assault the enemy with your M16 or the tank providing valuable heavy weapons support and toppling those pesky buildings with the MCOM stations inside. Battlefield 3's multiplayer has something for everyone. Unlike most other multiplayer focused games *cough* MW3 *cough* Battlefield relies on teamwork, whether its reviving your teammates to keep the ticket counter high or storming capture point B in Operation Metro teamwork is essential for success, no one man armies to be found here.

Other: Being a game as big as this means that glitches and problems are often found, you can still find the odd leg coming out of the wall, or the person half embedded in the rock, however the real downfall for this game is the crashing problems. This for me personally was only found in the multiplayer section but every 20 - 30mins the game would crash losing all my hard earned exp. however giving time and effort several fixes can be found.

Overall: A very enjoyable experience, singleplayer could be better but lets face it multiplayer more then makes up for it. The only downside to this game are the numerous crashing problems and people unfamiliar with how battlefield 3 is to be played e.g. People flying helicopters with no gunners or passengers. Singleplayer: 6/10, Enjoyable but could have been done better.
Multiplayer: 9/10, What makes a Battlefield game so damn good. Enjoyable through out can easily put hundreds of hours into this gane.

The game looks and plays great. There are some issues, but there seems to be with any of the releases these day. They'll get addressed after a patch cycle or two. The game feels like a return to the days of 1942 and BF2. I've not had any desire to play the single player so I'll not even reference. Battlefield started out as a multi-player franchise, they should just let it stand at that.

I am loving this game! With the obvious exception of the single player campaign. There are a few things that have made me give it an 8/10. These are: Can't seem to get the graphics the same as the adverts! Everything is on highest with a DX11 card, yet it still doesn't look as good as supposed in game footage (from the alpha albeit)

Quite a few bugs, such as people sinking into the ground

My biggest grievance is the random disconnections! I have scoured many a forum looking for the answer to this, but every fix doesn't seem to work for me. I don't think its a problem with ISP so going to just hang back for a patch.

But this game is very demanding, i mean you need to have a very good PC to be able to play it at it's best, which kills some fun of it but no matter it is still fun to run with an RPG and shoot a hole into a building. Multiplayer is where this game shines the most. Apart from some server being laggy, or the dreaded 64-man Metro Conquest, there is only fun to be had. With a myriad of different weapon and gadget unlocks, there is quite a bit of ways you could play each class. I only wish they would've added in-game squad chat for those times where you are stuck with someone you don't know. Dice never ceases to amaze me with their battlefield products and this is no exception. I've been playing battlefield games since 1942 was released and have always enjoyed that the development team actually DEVELOPS their game instead of using the same engine over and over with prettier lighting or slightly tweaking guns to reproduce ones used in previous games (HINT: Call of Duty). EvenDice never ceases to amaze me with their battlefield products and this is no exception. I've been playing battlefield games since 1942 was released and have always enjoyed that the development team actually DEVELOPS their game instead of using the same engine over and over with prettier lighting or slightly tweaking guns to reproduce ones used in previous games (HINT: Call of Duty). Even though it has the Frostbite 2 engine, many of the buildings on urban based maps are static and inaccessible in anyway, but the ones that are, you can completely strip away the benefits of planting your four man squad in it and force your enemy to fight in the open instead of camping in a limited access area. I was still a little disappointed in the static environments though versus Bad Company 2 where you can make a completely new path by blowing out a hole in a building, running through it, and making another hole with your trusty grenade launcher in order to bypass tanks or dug in troops. There are still plenty of destructible buildings that you can drop on top of a not so bright enemy's head and many of the walls you use for cover and be chipped away with concentrated fire or a good ol' RPG. The infantry only maps are a lot more team based and bring back that tactical feeling from Battlefield 2 that Bad Company 2 left out with narrow choke points or large areas littered with lots of cover spots that a sneaky squad can navigate and snag a capture point right under the enemy's nose if you don't have a group watching over it. The vehicle combat is more or less the same as in Bad Company 2, but choppers are a helluva lot more powerful (even though they're still missile magnets) and the jets have more of a knife fighting, gun slinging, cut throat battlefield 1942 feeling instead of the "I got on your tail so you're automatically dead" combat from Battlefield 2. The open maps still give that sense of random happenings that you get from Battlefield games that just make it so much more enjoyable to play over the "run in and control this area to win" combat you see with most shooters today. I think Dice could've done better with the single player development though. There were parts that got your attention or made you feel like you were in that situation yourself, but the musical score is rather pathetic in variety and you can pretty much predict which tune will play at what time and in what situation after the first couple of levels. I'm not saying the solo campaign wasn't exciting, but they could've done much better on it. Overall, Battlefield 3 is worth every penny you spend on it even though the weapon unlocks is a little repetitive and the first release version is a little buggy with battlelog and it not liking running with certain programs (for me it's xfire, Battlefield 3 wont even start while I'm running it). But as far as multiplayer (which in my humble opinion is where the replay value is), Call of Duty will never hold a candle to the Battlefield series. As with all major Battlefield releases (1942, 2, & 3), these multiplayer maps are massive and deep in complexity. Between the primary weapons, utilities, tanks, vehicles, and aircraft you could literally spend months unlocking and upgrading even if you played everyday! There is so much to do here, it's one of the few games that I can justify the $60 price tag on, because I know not only will reaching my goals take time but I'll enjoy doing it along the way. One thing to remember when playing any Battlefield game is that this is not a Call of Duty style multiplayer game. The maps are 10x as large, the Objectives are more important than Kill #'s, running and gunning will most likely get you killed, and team work is rewarded. You'll need to adjust your weapons from map to map, and think about what you're doing instead of running into battle gung-ho. Over time, you will become a better player and adjust by learning the maps and tactics used by other players. It's an extremely rewarding experience for anyone looking for a multiplayer first person shooter that will be fun for more than a month. There are downfalls of course, the single-player experience while better than anything prior still falls way short of our expectations (especially after watching the trailers). Also the web style menu interface is horrendous and should have never been adopted in the first place. Disconnects are rare, but connecting to a server can sometimes be a challenging and getting server lists with proper ping read-outs can require restarts occasionally. While the former is permanent, the later should be fixed with future updates and is not of particular concern in most circumstances. If you're looking for a game you can jump into and start annihilating your foes immediately, Modern Warfare 3 is probably for you. If however, you're looking for a game with a more rewarding long term experience, team work oriented game play, and meaningful tactics and objectives. Skip Modern Warfare 3 and go right for Battlefield 3! Expand

First, the singleplayer. This was a great display of visuals, no matter your graphic settings for your PC. Storyline, wasn't quite what I'd consider great, maybe decent, tops. This was mostly due to you playing an on rail shooter. But the visuals, they are great, but singleplayer feels like it was only meant to show off the Frostbite 2 engine, which they did very well on, but the storyline obviously suffered due to the focus on that. Overall, it's pretty, but for the same looks, and much more interactive, go online. Second, the Co-Op. The Co-Op was fun, but very short-lived. With only 6 short missions, there wasn't much meat to it. If anything, I wanted to know more about these individual missions, and the complete storyline behind the characters, especially at the end mission. This left me wanting more, and I really do hope there is, because it was fun, though short. The only challenge is really on Hard mode, Normal should be the Easy mode, Hard switched with Normal, and then Hard the ungodly difficult mission mode. It was fun, though, to try and get through all of them without dying. The biggest challenge with that is the glitch[?] where an enemy will knife you like he has the commando perk from CoD. And without warning, either. Third, the multiplayer. This is what you should be buying this game for. If not, you're wasting your money. The multiplayer can feel cheap at times with enemy mortar or vehicles, or simply a bad team. But it's gorgeous to watch and be a part of. To see a complete different scene on every map, on every side, on every game mode, is amazing. They included conquest, conquest large [2 extra objectives, or at least 1 extra from conquest], rush [demolition, plant bombs, you move through the map], and then team deathmatch, along with one squad of four only versions of rush and team deathmatch.
Overall, I gave this game an eight because of the co-op shortlived, bad singleplayer, and amazing multiplayer. Don't buy if you're playing alone, but online, it is quite something.

This game looks and sounds absolutely amazing! The level of detail can be frustrating sometimes when you are trying too shoot a sniper and the sun gets in your eyes,
I really wish though that there was a close quarters "commando" mode to give a similar experience to COD (not that I don't enjoy the squad based action).
Single player was rather dull though, I still haven't finished it

Single player was rather dull though, I still haven't finished it (mostly because it keeps deleting my saved game files!) but so far it just feels like a MW clone. They really could have done a lot with the story, and make one that stands out from the crowd but went with copying.

It's a lot of button smashing/ button sequences.. *yawn.* This was clearly an attempt to become more like other games *cough* COD *cough.* but don't let that keep you from buying this game. The multiplayer on this game is AWESOME. No crappy matchmaking like COD, dedicated servers, vehicles, huge maps, servers up to 64 players, vehicles etc. There are a few drawbacks for me. As a long time COD player, I am use to very fluid motions in game, very fast reloads, fast stance changing etc. The body mechanics in this game are SO stiff and rigid. One thing I have never understood about games is when the mechanics are different in single player than multiplayer. In single player you can go from prone to crouch, crouch to standing, or any variation without ever breaking your aim (aim down sight) and go from prone to sprint very quickly but in the multiplayer if you're prone you break your aim and slowly prop yourself up then have to re-aim again. Reloading (especially anti-air and anti-tank missiles feels like it takes hours). Though these aren't vital to games success it is hard to get use to. With all of my criticisms out of the way this game is FANTASTIC. If you have friends who play this game you can all squad up, and coordinate attacks, objectives etc. and it actually brings teamwork to multiplayer (something COD REALLLY lacks). I started off not liking the stiffness of this game but as I've played longer and longer it is CLEARLY the choice over Modern Warfare 3. This game was designed with the PC player in mind. I've played on the xbox 360 and PC and the graphics on PC make xbox graphics look like a 5 year old's hand drawing. It's refreshing to see a game that had hard work, dedication, and passion involved in it's development and not some recycled garbage from past years. I have found this game difficult to enjoy without a team that's willing to work together but I have 3+ friends who always squad with me so it is THE multiplayer game of the year BAR NONE in my opinion. The maps are huge which fantastic for scale, but sometimes you will find yourself roaming around looking for people to shoot. You can pick up a helicopter or jet if you're lucky but good luck trying to control those things from ending up embedded in the terrain, and on fire. Work as a group, squad or team is lots of fun and there can be some genuinely intense fire-fights and tense situations. Sometimes though it's just too much and some of the maps have bottlenecks where everyone convenes upon. Would like to see some AI Bots as an option, so that some of us can get some multi-player practice and get to learn the maps, and a death-cam where you can actually see who shot or killed you would be nice. Would have been interesting if they added a health system similar to Red Orchestra 2. And the series hasn't really evolved lately, it looks and plays better then ever before, but it is basically the same sort of content that was back in 1942, 64 player conquest maps (altough TDM & SQM is also fun). There is so much room for creativity, but no, BF3 is just BF2 streamlined and made prettier. Expand

The Coop is a nice addition if you have a good friend you can play with. However, its the multiplayer thats unleashes the true Battlefield feeling like you never experienced before. The atmosphere on a 64 player multiplayer map like Caspian Border (my favorite) or Gulf of Oman (one of the maps in the B2K addon) is just indescribable and a experience you shouldnt miss when bullets fizz over your head, tanks causing mayhem and epic jet dogfights in the air. What I personally miss are the shouts from the soldiers that you had in Bad Company 2. The motivation to keep playing is very high, there is a bunch of weapons, attachments, class specific equipment and perks to unlock. Weapons can be modified in every way and depending on the situation you can build your AK rifle to an deadly close range weapon with an reflex sight and silencer or to an sniper rifle with an 8x scope and an muzzle break. But be careful when you attach a laser pointer or the taclight as they compromise your position from a very far distance making you to dog food for every sniper. The classes are well balanced except the sniper which has a curious bug with the MAV drone as he can use it as an elevator to reach higher positions ;-)
The assault class has become the medic but seems to perish on large and widely open conquest maps again the engineer is the most powerful class on this maps as he can take on easily enemy tanks and jets/ helicopters. There are still some major bugs and it very annoying when you drive with a tank over small stones it gets very bumby making it impossible to shoot precisely. Also there are situations where enemies can spawn right behind you. But the real thread comes from hackers, cheaters that push unnoticeable their stats and also, can hack your account. Yes, last week there has been an hacker attack on Punkbuster where hundreds of players were banned, including me. The case was solved 3 days later when a new Punkbuster update was released. Origin is nothing more than EA trying to keep up with the big successor of digital distributed games, Steam. But the biggest fail goes to Battlelog. Battlefield 3 has no title screen. If you launch the game you get to the Battlelog site in your webbroser. You could say its the Facebook of Battlefield. Friends can comment on your stats, unlocks and whatever. There are way to many stats that are useless and it has also a forum that tends to close threads to quickly and make everyone muzzle who says something against EA/ DICE. Also the staff and users tend to be very arrogant if you're not a pro.

So why no 10 for Battlefield 3? One of the biggest problems in this game is that the actual Battlefield is absolutely not clear, that said, there are no clear frontlines, everyone is just everywhere and it reminds more of a chaotic battle from WW2 than a modern warfare battle. It keeps just happening that you think the coast is clear and suddenly someone will shoot you from behind, by the way if you play infantry 90% of your deaths will be from people that shot you in the back ;-)

But if you play with good teammates that are watching your back, it can be an unique experience!

The campaign is uninteresting and doesn't really grip the player, however, the multiplayer is great to play online with friends. Now the graphics are really nice, actually "too nice". And what I mean with this is the eye candy, it's simply looking too realistic. But yes, what should be bad about this? Well first, the sunlight. It's shinning in your eyes constantly, making it really difficult to adept into a conformable state. As well DICE (the developers) have included these extremely annoying flashlights, that, I suppose, should be used to look around in dark places. But no, they're used to rather blind everyone, even your teammates. As well we got the fact that everything is gliding into a state of completely similarity, where you're about to be unable to see what an enemy looks like. However don't misunderstand me, the graphics are really great, probably the best I've ever seen. Another great issue is the promoting of teamwork. Even in the small mapped BC2 (Battlefield Bad Company 2), it was nice to work with your squad. However, even through BF3 got a lot larger maps, teamwork is nonexistent. Not just because the majority of the players in the game are communicative vice almost retarded, but simply because it isn't promoted by the game. Everyone is just supposed to grab a plane or a chopper or what ever vehicle they can find, and go their own way. This makes up a game that looks like COD with vehicles, where everybody shoot at everybody, I actually wonder why there's no FFA (Free For All) game mode. The maps are not differentiated at all. They're all large maps, where you have to run a hell of a distance (300+ yards for every base), if you did not reach to get a vehicle in the start. The B2K (Back To Karkand) expansion pack's maps helps a bit here, but costs you 20 US dollars just a month after the release of the original game. Interface vice, the customization of your characters are simply horrible. In BC2 you could see the rates of the weapons, and define what you needed for your suits. However in BF3 that is simply a lot more difficult. Realistic again, that you get the specification of the bullets, but we're not all (ex)marines here, so please simplify it a bit, and just give us some specs of the weapons that we can understand. But overall not a bad game, but a big disappointing one from DICE, who else in my eyes have been the gods of game developing. They with this release made a lot of new things, also a lot of good things. But they just didn't test them through properly, and this means a disappointment for the many fans of the Battlefield series. Expand

Do not underestimate this game, it has potential.

This is a serious game, there are some of the plot holes is the game, why is Solomon detonating nukes? He is just one of those old James bond bad guys that want to blow up the world with him on it. The vehicle unlock system will always put newer drivers and pilots at a major disadvantage when it comes down to both skill and fancy gadgets. Dice also seems to also have an issue with weapon balancing, some have been completely obliterated to the point where there is no point in using them at all. Expand

Battlefield 3 is a great sequal to Battlefield 2. The graphics is breathtaking but if you don't have a nice graphics card this game is not for you. The main problem that I have with the game is that I expected more.
The destruction is a let down from BFBC2 and the campaign is a bit boring and origin is a pain.
But I would still recommend the game because the multiplayer is lots of fun.

Never played single player (as that's not the point of these games) so I can't comment on that, but the game is still amazing. Features beautiful graphics, fun, exciting gameplay, and a great sound system. Obviously there are some horrible weapon balances that have yet to be fixed, and a mediocre range of hackers, but it only occasionally detracts the game's replayability and overall, greatness.

The Singleplayer is well not **** but not mouthwatering its some sort of CoD makeover and i dont like that at all.

The Multiplayer is why i bought this game just like every freaking Battlefield before and i can tell you it is awesome. BUT the Game has drawbacks, like rather high Hardware Requirements and it has bugs like weapon bugs but they are getting fixed in quite moderate time.

Another thing that there is to say Battlefield is an Team based Game so if your Squad plays like Monkeys you wont have that much fun with it.

Baseraping and Camping and so on is an issue that nearly every Multiplayer Shooter has so i will leave it out.

I have played way over 200hrs of Bf3 and i am a Premium user and i regret nothing not once Cent of it.

I personally have trouble staying engaged in FPS games -- it just gets too repetitive. That said, I think EA really delivered for the FPS enthusiasts out there -- the graphics are outstanding, the *sound* is outstanding for knowing what's going on around you, and of all the FPS games I've played, this is definitely the best yet.

Though we can't really say that the console versions were great, the game still had a reason to be played, even if preceding titles were superior in aspect.
Graphics: Stunning visuals are nice, but it is to mask some of the graphical glitches that you will eventually encounter, but it can be negligible if you want gameplay experience. Gameplay: Not better than Bad Company 2, but still worth a try. The principles of Battlefield is still incorporated for the most part with long range gun engagements, vehicle and aircraft based fighting for a realistic combat environment. Though not entirely realistic, it provides something different from Call of Duty where everything is blatantly arcade. Players require effort for certain fighting distances and or methods and must take some tactical strategy in to mind. You can't just run in and expect to kill 7 enemies all in one go if they all know you're there, (unless you were in a tank, plane or if the players were entirely oblivious to the attacker)
Replayability: It provides a good amount of replayability, as long as you can enjoy the game modes. Single Player Campaign was far too linear but it's still worth saying that Multiplayer is decent. At least you can call Battlefield more hardcore than Call of Duty, which perceives itself as hardcore when in utter reality it is not.
Other opinions: Just play the game. If you don't like it, then that's your opinions and views and we have no obligation to change that by our own behalf, though it's always great to consider that this game can be more worth playing than certain other games that can be considered mediocre. Casual gaming is overtaking the market hence why many game companies take action to appeal to them, which is a disappointing truth that many of us may have to accept one day, but sometimes is just good to appreciate what they have given rather than complain about what they don't provide from the older games. Battlefield 3 in its own right deserves a decent score for being an attempt to compete with other contemporary shooters and still provide some sort of competition.

The goal of the CIA agents are to find out the possible whereabouts of a potential nuke, and you play most of the story in flashbacks. The story expands to feature multiple settings, including: Iran, Iraq, Paris, the Azerbaijani border, and New York City. I'll give credit to the unique settings, solid voice acting, and the small amount of tension that stems from the conflict in this story; but this story was BORING. Blackburn, despite talking in the cutscenes, is mute during gameplay, none of the characters are like-able and show little interesting personality, and the story is told out-of-order, making for some confusing moments in the story. In the end, no one plays Battlefield for the story, and for good reason. 4/10

Gameplay: Gunfights during the campaign are pretty solid due to how the guns feel when you use them. They have recoil and feel realistic. This makes firefights a little more interesting than what they could have been. I'm disappointed though by the lack of destruction in the campaign, plus you don't get to use some of the cool gadgets that much, besides in scripted sequences. The AI is pretty standard affair, but I HATE how if you get to close to them, they panic-knife and instantly kill you. In some of the CQB sections of the game, this can lead to frustration instantly. So all-in-all, the gameplay is nothing memorable. 5/10

Graphics: Where this game shines is in its graphics department. This game came out in 2011, and it still holds up against some of the recent game releases. The campaign cutscenes look nice, the lighting and textures are all fully-realized and look great, and the destruction effects are cool. My only complaints are that some of the character movements and models don't look impressive, the vehicle collisions could be better, and the blue tint detracts from the quality of the visuals. But outside of that, the visuals are great. 8/10

Sound: Another high for BF3 are its high-quality sound designs. Every aspect in this game, from gun sounds to vehicle sounds, have excellent sound design. Simply great. 9/10

Multiplayer: The main part of this review is definitely the MP, and it delivers. To start off, unlike BC2, you only get 4 infantry classes, each with their own exclusive set of weapons. They are: Assault--using assault rifles and healing and reviving teammates on the battlefield; Engineer--repairs friendly vehicles and attacks enemy ones while using carbines; Support--keeps the team going with ammunition while being aggressive to the enemy team with light-machine guns, C4s, and mortars (screw those things!); and Recon--provides tactical assistance to the team by spotting enemies and sniping them. The Assault class is the most popular due to being able to heal himself, but the rest have their own quirks still. There are also an abundance of land, air, and sea vehicles to use on some maps and during some modes, a lengthy ranking system that goes up 145 levels, 9 different maps which compliment the main modes, a solid netcode, and a couple dozen guns and gadgets to use. There're even 6 solid co-op missions with their own storyline and great teamplay mechanics which involve you and your partner controlling an attack chopper together, and several stealth sections where communication is key. Classic game modes like Conquest and Rush also return along with standard Team/Squad Deathmatches, and the great map design makes these modes more enjoyable. There are great things to say about this game, but there are also some bad things to say about it. When it comes to weapon balance, I can't help but get annoyed anytime someone kills me with a semi-auto shotgun. The Saiga 12K, DAO -12, and M1014 often kill pretty quickly, and because you can spam them, you can die pretty quickly from them with the killer not requiring much skill since these are easy-to-use. The Assault class also suffers from some balancing issues with guns like the M16A3, M416, and AEK-971 outperforming other guns in the category. The suppression feature in this game--where if you shoot close to an enemy, their screen gets blurry, allowing you or your teammates to finish that guy off--is WAY TOO STRONG to the point where you almost can't see anything once you're suppressed. The defibrillator, an Assault gadget where you revive teammates with it, is also annoying with medics spamming revives at you even though you keep getting killed as you get up. Combine that with a few other annoying gadgets, and you'll start getting sick of gadgets in general. One final big sin is the progression system where you'll need a few hundred kills to unlock all the attachments for a gun. Despite all these sins though, the MP can still be fun to play. 8/10

Verdict: At only $20, I'll say this game is definitely worth the price. Buy it.

    - Sniper scope glint
    - The sun is like it's exploding or the soldiers cant afford sunglasses

    - Guided missiles on helis jets javelin useless becouse everyone is forced to take smoke on vehicles

    - Vehicle balance between sides Russian AA mobile so inferior compared to usa AA slow & bigger target T90 russian tank is skating on ice Havoc heli is big target and was alot clumsier than AHz.. Su 35 bigger turning circle than F18 .
    - Co op maps were too few and felt abit since only 1 map was with vehicles
    - Campaing was medicore tho BF is multiplayer so doesent bother me so much )
    - Premium changing your knife to a carpet knife
    - No good night maps No good snow maps only 1 map with rain in it .
    - Tanks feel like paper bags 2 engineers will easily blow up tank if you just stay behind some rock since tank has barely any Splash damage should be able to choose between Ap HE shells )
    - World roof height is far too low Jet physics suck hard compared to Bf2 flying for 250 km/h really ?)

Battlefield could have been a 10/10 for me but these negative things lower its score by 2 atleast maybe im being abit too generous but it's still the best fps there is atleast when comparing it to COD that is basicly rehash for 5 years straight.
Lets just hope that Dice gets the ball in Bf4 and adds some crucial things server side hit req Remove supression or modify it so it wont add random spread to bullets 2 seat jets bigger & better maps snow maps jungle maps more sides ,etc etc bigger squads.

It's all through cliche and leaves a bad taste to the single-player fans, such as me. But, when we hear the name "Battlefield", we all think for the epicness of it's multiplayer.
The multiplayer is heart-pounding, intense fun. Being skeptical for the multiplayer, but it actually achieving to be the level that Bad Company 2 was, is surprising. Huge battles, deep weapon customization, awesome visuals, realistic sound design and intense dog fights immediately make the game superbly enjoyable. The only complain I can give about the multiplayer is that there are a some balancing issues.
Battlefield 3 is a multiplayer masterpiece, and a single-player mess. But the single-player, while effecting the game score, it wont put down the game when it has intense multiplayer matches. (Final Score: 8.30)

P.S: I didn't play the co-op, because I'm focusing on other games recently)

Gameplay: 9, Graphics: 9. Story: 6. This game sucks over 100 hours from me. When i've first play it i was so impress by the amazing gun play and jaw dropping graphics. The gun play are so addicting because the the weapon were so fun to play with combine with the graphics and animations that blew me away despite being a 2011 game, but the story is... it just so bad

Decent Shooter with some flaws that hinders enjoyment but it is a good war simulator where you can fly jets to take out your opponents, or have a ground battle with other players. but what about the campaign? The Campaign is closely related to Call of Duty: Black Ops. you know, the protagonist being interrogated and telling stories. Overall. It's a must-get for those who want a great multiplayer experience. Expand

Battlefield 3 is the best battlefield on the current gen consoles but on PC not anymore. It's now BF4 but BF3 is still good. I can hold 64 players and reeks havoc everywhere it goes. This then leads to one thing or another then you realise you are level 100. It takes ages to get to level 10 and I suppose that's a good thing in a way but it's takes to long. DO NOT BUY. Although this is game has more than enjoyable multiplayer, the PC version is utterly broken and is a disaster on so many levels. The game always opens Battlelog when I open BF3 and the game always says "Origin is not installed" when I try to connect to a server.
Well, at least it was free... Sigh.....

This FPS is slightly better than most of the FPS games I have played. However, improvements are needed. Furthermore, something has to be added to BF3 to make it unique. The reason behind this is because BF3, just like most other FPS games like call of duty, are identical to each other.

Almost the best shooter nowadays, but ruins the experience the fact, that you feel like u paid for a F2P game, cuz u get only the 25%(or less) of the content if you dont buy DLCs or a Premium account.

As many of you already know Battlefield is all about the multiplayer,so I will give very little attention to the short and linear 4 hour long campaign with zero memorable characters and a cliche find the nuke plot.
Even the co-op mode that is definitely better than the campaign lacks the mission variety and the replay value to even bother playing it. With all that said lets move the mutiplayer game that is the real reason why people buy this game. I should mention though as a side note that to all the people that claim that Battlefield 3 is a realistic shooter are deeply wrong. Battlefield is as much realistic as COD or any other block buster FPS game. Battlefield has a great variety of maps that you can play. From the huge open fields of the Armored Kill expansion to the tiny maps of the Close Quarters expansion. Battlefield is a game that heavily depends on the quality of the maps and that explains why the Battlefield franchise in general has one of the best maps in the gaming world. Although while Battlefield 3 has many good and fresh maps many are very poorly designed. I can say from personal experience that the last 2 expansions of Battlefield 3 brought to us one of the worst maps in the Battlefield history. From the clunky Aftermath expansion maps to the boring End Game expansion maps that have no spawn defense in capture the flag mode that can lead to many game breaking situations. For example I remember once that an enemy tanked drove behind our base to spawn kill everyone. The poor protection of the bases that the terrain offers made it impossible for us to dodge or even attempt to react to the tank threat. We ended up loosing heavily. Battlefield is a game that is heavily depended on team work. When you have a good team you will have a blast playing. The 4 classes in Battlefield 3 allow the team to support each other and play as a team. The medic heals and revives, the support gives ammo, the engineer fixes friendly and the recon can be the eyes of your team. Unfortunately in most games people play just for the sake of playing, ignoring the match objectives and just rushing towards the closest enemy. And that's why you end up a lot playing as a solo player. Battlefield's 3 most famous game mode is conquest that can perfectly suits the multiplayer maps. Battlefield 3 has also rush mode that is basically protect the objective type of game. The defender team protects 2 objective while the attack team tries to destroy, if they succeed you retreat to the next position. This continues until all positions are taken by the enemy and the enemy team wins or the time runs out and the defender team wins. In my opinion those are the best modes in Battlefield that provide the most fun. The other game modes feel like you are playing a normal FPS game that just is not as fun as the Rush and Conquest mode.
In conclusion battlefield 3 is a fun game with great maps and modes for the most part, but requires a good community to play it with. And unfortunately most of the time you end up being with a bad unfocused team that ignores the objectives.

This game has great graphics and the gameplay is awesome. I'm Colonel level 100 so I've been around the game awhile. In the beginning the game was amazing, and since BF4 has came out, the support for BF3 has gone to crap. I rarely play anymore because I ran into at least 2-3 cheaters a day while playing online.

The campaign is very short, so online is the only option to keep this game

The campaign is very short, so online is the only option to keep this game from being very boring. Also they're not as many servers as they once had, so your choices aren't limited per say, but not as wide as before.

With all that being said, I would highly recommend anybody who loves FPS to play this game as it's worth it. I would of given it a score of 10, but I docked 1 point for the lack of support the game has now since BF4, and I docked another point because one problem this series has always had is the developers never leave the game alone and I mean they're always tampering with it. So with all the updates comes issues right after another, they never let the game be.

The crack of a sniper rifle, the rattle of machine gun fire across the map, and the distinctive sound of a helicopter flying overhead, all of it is just great and immerses you in this war experience that Battlefield is trying to deliver. And while the multiplayer is pretty much perfect, the campaign is very bland. Dice really, sorely needs to get their act together in developing single player experiences, because they've always misfired when they attempt one. In all my time playing this game, if I could say one thing, it'd be this.

Let's say you're watching a hallway, a corridor, or a door. You've been watching it for a very long time, and NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING has happened, at all. No enemies ran past, no explosions, no "thrown" shots, etc. I cannot emphasize enough how much nothing is in this case. So, nothing has happened.

No enemies ran past, no explosions, no "thrown" shots, etc. I cannot emphasize enough how much nothing is in this case. So, nothing has happened. There are doors and hallways beside you, so you decide to check your corner. Left/right. You briefly, and I mean briefly, look to your left. Like a quarter to half a second. You glance left and then back towards the hallway you've been watching for a really long time. BOOM!!!!!!!!! There are as many as 1-32 enemies RIGHT THERE in that hallway.

The hallway you've been watching since the beginning of the time. Since the beginning of the big bag, whereas nothing has happened.

Moral of the story? If you look away for just a split second, someone will come around and catch you off guard. Well, not off guard, but just when you interrupt your million year stare for a half second out of necessity of carefulness.

This is my cumulative review of this game.

Aside from jets flying through mountains, snipers in close quarters, upside down helicopters still grounded, and enemies still hitting you even after you've broken line of sight with them, good game.

    Pew Pew forever fellow gamers!

It's all a matter of taste, after all. They each provide a certain type of entertainment – when talking about Battlefield 3, it involves a bigger game, more open in its possibilities and more spectacular. But on a longer timeline, less frantic and with fewer Bruce Willis scenes than the mass appeal beast it set itself to dethrone.
