    The game is excellent Graphics, gameplay, setting of World War 1.
    Score 9/10 sorry that there is no game mode with bots like in Battlefield 2 (2005)

    You start off the game directly in the frontlines and die in different ways with no hope of survival which prepares you for the rest of the game. The game is a collection of short stories told from different perspectives. Some stories are very dark and leave you with no hope and show the life of soldiers during WW1. The graphics are jaw-droppingly beautiful and very well optimized.     I love the way Battlefield portrays war. In BF1 it was done very very well. The opening sequence where the game puts you in a few different situations, and every time you die you get a full name and the birth and death year. I think the reason they do this is to show you that the people who died are all real, they had life and it ended in an instant. WW1 was a horror, there are many horrible ways you can die in the game, I think the campaign is very well done.

    Graphics and level design are unreal. Battlefield does big open battles the best. The map destruction and the way it changes as the battle progresses makes this the best FPS game for me. In this game in particular, the mud looks very real.

    I love this game About story the history of world war and history of the soldiers who fought for independence. I swear the gameplay of whole story is exciting. There is a history lesson in the very powerful war of that time in this game.

    battlefield 1 is one of the best battlefield games out there. and im gonna talk about how this game is in 2021.

    ok that is some of the good things about battlefield 1 that ive noticed/met.

    1- one wierd bug in the bombing plane where ur carracter are just shaking like a food mixer idk,
    2- running charge can be sometimes a little wierd and i whished is was possible to stop a charge
    when u are in a charge
    3- well yes there is hackers in this game. it is kinda common to meet hackers so yea that is kinda bad i guess.

    yeah theres a lot more things but i cant set word on it.
    ok how is it to play battlefield 1 in 2021 well it is acuteally verry good. battlefield 1 is obvious better than 2047 extriemly better.
    theres a lot of players still that plays this game. battlefield 1 is from 2016 so it aint too old either.
    it is still fun and good map design and yea that is everything i wanted to say.

    Best Modern Battlefield (no older generations of consoles, until 2013-14... 2,3,4,2142 yeah!!). Great multiplayer, which is unfortunately difficult to play now.

    I'm not a fan of first person shooters, for some reason I can never really buy into being a soldier in a game and I'm more interested in machines, specifically planes and tanks.

    I've done a lot of searching but I cannot find the answer - does battlefield 1 give you any decent amount of content for driving tanks in tank sim fashion and using terrain as strategy? Thanks.

    Honestly the best game I’ve personally ever played! Game has historical accuracy and amazing attention to detail. The game has so much heart and soul in it it feels like I bought a person instead of a game. Never will there be a game that I love as much as BF1.

    - Boring slow tanks gameplay with limited visibility (same for boats, planes, even horses are not as fun as motorcycles in BF4)

    - No custom server at launch, then useless custom servers since admins can't change much

    - Most expansive game ever (160$ CAD for Game + Premium)

    - Too many bad maps, especially since tanks are boring : Suez, Fao Fortress, Sinai Desert

    - No real great maps (while Amiens and St. Quentin's Scar are OK)

    - Feels more like Battlefront 2 than BF5

    edit : 6 months later, I've played it for the free 10 hours, players population has dropped but it's still OK, the DLCs have been slowly released but they made a few improvements to the game that makes it a little better

    edit : 12 months later, the player population continued to drop, now only 25k on PC compared to 15k for BF4 currently, I wanted to try the new game mode Incursions (beta), waited for 10 minutes to get in a game but not enough player so I left then I come back and get a warning for "abandoning matches" ... come on EA ...    … Expand

Nope. Why would they check for hackers at this point? I mean BFV is on it's way, why even give a flock for current IP? Suckers will pay, suckers always pay. Anyway, buy it for the Single Player.     Best Battlefield game since Battlefield 2 possibly the best in the entire series. Worth every penny, DICE can have my first born too. Will be pouring hundreds of hours into this game for sure.

    DICE is to be commended for taking the risk and returning back to historical wars as a setting for their Battlefield games and Battlefield 1, for all intents and purposes, is a solid FPS: it has beautiful graphics, a glorious orchestral score and multiple gameplay improvements. The single player campaign also reminds us why World War I was so important to the evolution of warfare yet alsoDICE is to be commended for taking the risk and returning back to historical wars as a setting for their Battlefield games and Battlefield 1, for all intents and purposes, is a solid FPS: it has beautiful graphics, a glorious orchestral score and multiple gameplay improvements. The single player campaign also reminds us why World War I was so important to the evolution of warfare yet also shows us personal tales of courage, loss and sacrifice. Unfortunately, the game does have minor issues (e.g. laggy cutscenes, dumb AI, poor level design, etc.) and it seems to be even less authentic or realistic than previous Battlefield games in terms of pacing, the battles and the weapons – so much so that it's the first Battlefield game I really didn't get into.… Expand

    Normal classes are balanced with many gadgets and I like that medics have acces to snipers .
    I know the guns had been buffed since launch so for me the ttk is perfect.
    I like the skin system in the game and some of the gold inlay skins are very nice.
    Great weapons variety and I like the fact that they use prototype weapons that didn`t see action in ww1 .
    The sniper damage model based on the sweet spot distance mechanic is very fair in my opinion it adds some skill to the game rewarding the precise headshots and not allowing you to get kill by one bullet in any situation when you deal with an enemy sniper.
    The game has lots of noob friendly weapons but there are a few iron sights skill cannon weapons you can challenge yourself to get kills so you don't get bored.
    Great MP and SP

    Cons:

    Planes are way to overpowered , normal guns don`t do any damage and even support guns are way to weak , and it`s very hard to kill the pilot without a sniper . The only way to take down the planes is for all team to focus on them and to use stationary AA guns wich are not many on the maps and only support can repair , or maybe you have luck and your team has good pilots to hunt the enemy planes down. . AT rocket gun does very little damage and it takes skill to land a shot on a moving plane , the AA rocket gun it`s good but it`s useless against ground targets. To balance this if the plane is lower then 70m the damage should be increased and also the repair system should allow repair to max 75% to make it fair and require some skill not just repair and raid spam , only bomber should be able to repair back to 100% and by the way WW1 planes were made out of wood. Update:Incendiary ammo is very effective against air so i decided to bump the score +1 :)
    For killing tanks you have way more options and it takes only 3 assault players to take down any tank.
    The main problem is edge of the map camping with artillery truck and tanks and spawn camp , for mods that are attacker vs defenders only the defender shoud be allow to camp behind the lines .
    There is no team balance in this game . No test range map so you get dumb players who take tanks or planes who don`t know how to even drive them .
    The bypod on AT roket gun is buggy , sometime it doesn`t deploy and on the fence the angle of deploy and post deploy is way to small.
    Sound scratch bug , only alt tab can recover the sound to normal .
    When you fire from an eleveted position the bullet drop is strange when the enemy is near cover.
    Horses are supernatural in this game , the only way to take them down fast is using AT gun but not the horse the rider :) but I get it they have to make the horse a viable option.
    Shotguns range for 1 bullet kill is way to big , it removes the skill when you can snipe with the shotgun , some support machine guns have unrealistic accuracy over large distances and after the first 5 bullets they also have no recoil or random spread.
    EA doesn`t care about cheaters they never ban them , the auto ban system doesn`t ban even if the cheater has 100 kd and 90-100% hs accuracy with a lmg from across the map.    … Expand

    A glitchy mess! 2019 and still so many glitches that probably will never be fixed. I have been trying to play the game in 4k with HDR but that seems too much to ask from the game, the screen blinks black every 10 seconds, simply unplayble. If you turn HDR off then you have to deal with the game auto trying to turn hdr back on every time you start the game, glitching your system to noA glitchy mess! 2019 and still so many glitches that probably will never be fixed.     over 500 hours for BF1. More than 1 year since the release. Yes, the game suffered a lot from its basic flaw on gameplay/gunplay design. Ridiculous balance issues are still real. PC user base was almost dead. However, since last two patches, BF1 is on its way to be another masterpiece to be played and remembered for many years as classics. New DLC maps are fortunately and unfortunately wayover 500 hours for BF1. More than 1 year since the release. Yes, the game suffered a lot from its basic flaw on gameplay/gunplay design. Ridiculous balance issues are still real. PC user base was almost dead. However, since last two patches, BF1 is on its way to be another masterpiece to be played and remembered for many years as classics. New DLC maps are fortunately and unfortunately way too great. Operation server browser simply saved the game from death. Operations of French DLC are WWI immersion at its finest. You wouldn't believe me but it's true. Verdun Heights - Fort Vaux is one of the best things i've experienced on my entire FPS gaming. Of course, premium is a joke, but fortunately and unfortunately i can say, just buy premium and play new great french, russian maps. More new maps are coming alongside vital movement patch. These 10 maps worth more than anything on the market. Great job DICE and keep up the good work.… Expand

    On the surface a pretty solid modern FPS. If you are fan of these type of games there is nothing wrong with it and has good enough gameplay. Where it falls down for me is the branding of it being a WW1 game when it's completely ahistorical and really just a WW2 game with some tweaking.

    Puntos positivos:
    -Gran calidad sonora -Doblaje al español hispanoamericano en PC (Call of Duty siempre elimina ese doblaje en el port de PC en Steam) -En la campaña, no hay Eventos de Tiempo Rápido (QTE), algo que se valora mucho excluir. -Multijugador    Un poco decepcionado. Desaprovecha mucho la temática de la Guerra Mundial con esa pésima decisión de historias distintas por fascículos.

La campaña es cortísima y mediocre. Pésima decisión. -Cinemáticas a 30fps. -Imprecisión histórica y sobredimensionamiento de mujeres y negros, los hacen ver como si fueran casi igual en cantidad que los soldados más representativos. Pasa algo similar en Battlefield 5. Aquí la portada es un negro, en el 5 una mujer... Cuando las portadas deberían de ser del tipo de soldado más representativo (un blanco, y un nazi o ruso, respectivamente). Este es un error muy típico de la actualidad para imponer su agenda de "diversidad e igualdad", una falacia enorme. En el multijugador no te sorprendas si ves más afros o mujeres más que cualquier otro tipo de soldado.
    -Gráficas e interfaz que me hacen pensar que es más un Battlefront que un Battlefield. No me convenció a pesar de ser un gran salto gráfico.
    -Multijugador con poca variación de armas y mapas estándar muy sencillos. Retroceso respecto a Battlefield 4.

    En resumen: Battlefield 1 posee grandes saltos en lo sonoro y visual, y llegaba muy prometedor con la temática de Guerra Mundial pero que se queda en multijugador como, especialemente, el modo campaña donde desperdicia de manera categórica la temática de Guerra Mundial. Una temática con mucho potencial tirada a la basura, al igual que pasaría con Battlefield V. Gran parte de esa culpa es la introducción de personajes forzados, de querer imponer una agenda, y, sobre todo, de la pésima decisión de poner mini historias que no te terminan de llegar nunca, que son cortas y no tienen la inmersión necesaria como para exprimir la historia de la Guerra Mundial. He prejuzgado mucho al Call of Duty WWII, pero creo que aprovecha mucho mejor la temática de la Guerra Mundial que la combinación de Battlefield 1 y 5. Cualquier campaña de los últimos Call of Duty creo que es mejor que el modo historia de este juego.

    I've played all the battlefield games (excluding the Battlefront games) since 1942, and I gotta say that even though this game sin't the one I've spent most hours on (I've grown up :)) it is by far the best Battlefield game ever made. The graphics, the sound, the immersion, the game modes, the weapons, everything has just been perfected. Even the single player campaign is excellent and itI've played all the battlefield games (excluding the Battlefront games) since 1942, and I gotta say that even though this game sin't the one I've spent most hours on (I've grown up :)) it is by far the best Battlefield game ever made. The graphics, the sound, the immersion, the game modes, the weapons, everything has just been perfected. Even the single player campaign is excellent and it alone is worth the buy. The new multiplayer modes Operations and Frontlines is just awesome. A truly amazing game that jus tneeds to be experienced by all FPS-gamers.… Expand

    Battlefield 1 is a great game, I was actually waiting to play it for two reasons, sadly, two reasons which ended up being based around falsehoods.

    First reason was that I heard the main campaign sucked and was tackled on, by the numbers, and boring. Second reason, was that I heard you couldn’t skip the cutscenes in the game, which I personally don’t mind that much for my first    Battlefield 1 is a great game, I was actually waiting to play it for two reasons, sadly, two reasons which ended up being based around falsehoods.

    First reason was that I heard the main campaign sucked and was tackled on, by the numbers, and boring.

    Second reason, was that I heard you couldn’t skip the cutscenes in the game, which I personally don’t mind that much for my first playthrough, but this is something that really hurts replayability, as well as the option to ignore the story in case it isn’t for me, or it ends up being, just, plain, bad.

    Turns out, in the end, the campaign is actually pretty good and done with care, and you sure as hell can skip cutscenes in the game. This is a good thing all things considered, mainly because of how re-playable some of these stages are with a number of collectibles and codex entries to find, as well as because the game features three levels of difficulty and a wonderful game design that prioritizes the player’s freedom on how to tackle their objectives, rather than a guided journey, in which you’re just left to follow directions and/or orders (looking at you Aliens Dark Descent).

    The story basically follows five different sides of World War 1, focusing on a number of well-known fighters, although some focus more in smaller scale adventures, trying to mystify the journeys of tank commanders and air force pilots, you can play through these missions at your own leisure, but there is an order to follow according to the numbering of each, although the stories don’t really have a continuity between them; for the most part each campaign is evenly paced given that the stories at the most have around five or four missions each, totalling around 30 minutes to an hour for each campaign, depending on your speed and selected level of difficulty.

    What I really like about these campaigns was the variety as well as the focus of each mission, some are more emphatic in showcasing the motivations behind each soldiers enlisting, while in other cases they’re stories about the brutality of war, or the camaraderie between brothers in arms, is really cool from a narrative perspective because it keeps things going. But this transcends to gameplay as well.

    For the most part Battlefield’s 1 campaign, remains a shooter, you run around between encounters taking down enemies, but there are some cool mechanics to keep things fresh; for starters, the game added a very simple, but welcomed, stealth system, in which you can get silenced weapons from time to time, or distract enemies for inevitable takedowns, these sequences reminded me to those from the Wolfenstein series of games, essentially serving as a prelude to the actual fight, although there are times in which you can skip through certain fights just by stealthing your way through them, which was highly satisfying as well.

    There are also weapon tents throughout the levels, these held crates with different types of equipment, like better weapons or better explosives and/or tools, it’s pretty cool, adds variety, and makes it so you’re in the lookout for these things. Taking about explosives, I want to add that Battlefield 1 reintegrated the destructible system from the Bad Company games, in turn, there were numerous times where I had to either change my cover, or found myself in better, more advantageous positions after the enemy shot the roof on which I was standing, sending me crashing down into a house for better cover, to give an example.

    These missions are also coupled with some vehicle sections which, in my opinion, are the worst aspect of the campaign, is not that they’re bad, but they’re not nearly as dynamic as when you’re on foot, it’s nice that a lot of the times you can use these vehicles in the middle of the battle, like going in an out of a tank, or using horses to travel long distance areas, but it can also get quite tedious if I’m just locked into a tank, or a plane, and about the only highlight of the experience is the destructible systems, this is specially apparent in the airplane campaign in which, because of a tutorial -that I think was highly unnecessary at that-, you’re forced into subsequent plane missions, thankfully these gets better paced after a couple of missions in that campaign but still; I would’ve much rather prefer what they did in the tank encounters, in which you got to be in tank, but there were also sections where you just had to roam around or look after the tank, playing around with the vehicle strengths and weaknesses, all the while affecting the gameplay.

    Overall, I really enjoyed my experience with Battlefield 1, the plane campaign could’ve been better paced, but generally I really thought it was a fine experience and one that I really, really liked.    … Expand

    Looks fantastic (excluding the ugly lensflares!), sounds fantastic and is perfectly optimized AND has destructable enviroments (only at predetermined locations, it it isn't REALLY a destructable enviroment. Red Faction 1 did a better job than this!)

    Can't deactivate them.

    This game currently offers The best online experience overall - the gameplay, the tech, the community. Some minor bugs do still exist in the game, unfortunately, but I can easily disregard them. One of the greatest.

I get 60fps SP. "Fairplay" seems to weasel out cheaters but how many still lip through I couldnt say.
    I dunno, its somewhat fun but still unfulfilling...I find myself lacking any sense of excitement playing this ...maybe there just isnt enough meat in large scale competitive shooters for my liking. Maybe I expect too much.    … Expand

It's basically straight at your opponents up the gut. Only in stupid zombie games and Call of Duty do you see maps more restrictive as to where yo can move. And the gun play is ridiculous. You can only pick up certain enemy weapons. You run out of ammunition easily because even on Easy setting you some times must shoot an enemy 5 times to bring them down. The two sniper rifles I've seen so far are garbage. With one of the sniper rifles II shot an enemy in the chest with with open sights from about 20 feet away. And he didn't go down. Whether or not you get kills seems to be completely haphazard. I'll shoot a guy like 9 times with a rifle and he won't go down. Then I'll get 4 one-shot kills in a row from about the same range. I'll shoot directly at an enemy's chest and he won't go down. But then I'll just aim in the general direction of another enemy and he goes down right away. It makes no sense. There are explosions going on all around you with no indication of where the fire is coming from. I was hoping for a more realistic shooter. If you want satisfying gun play try Sniper Elite 4. The multi-player is really stupid but the campaign and co-op are great. And where's the co-op in Battlefield 1? Oh, that's right. No co-op. Most people will play this game for a little while and then quit. I finished my first campaign section and said to myself, is that it? Really, that's it? It lasted like 30 minutes or less. That means you can probably finish all of the campaign sections in several hours. Pretty content, but not much of it. Critics talk about how great the campaigns are but don't mention that they are so brief. No wonder EA started giving this game away. Shallow eye candy is a good description.… Expand

Some of the missions involving stealth, capturing points and infiltrating bases work exceptionally well, and are really fun to play - the shame is the fact there are so few of these its almost insulting and disappointing.

    Multiplayer, Loot crates for skins...roughly 90% of the playerbase has moved on to Battlefront 2 so unless you pick this up for free, or as part of the EA All Access program, then simply don't bother.    … Expand

    This is the Battlefield I have always been waiting for.

    Finally, I don't feel that "fat character lag" that I always experience in the past BF.
    Now it's as fluid as a Counter-Strike or COD can be.

    All that with amazing graphic, building destruction, and all the tank etc...

Also probably the shortest but i do prefer it to pretty much anything ive seen from a first person shooter in quite a while. Graphics gorgeous, story ... incredibly moving and told in a more adult manner than just a chain of headshots and explosions.     Constant issues regarding hit detection. Thoughtless spawning which leads to you getting killed the moment you join. Horribly unbalanced matches and weapons.

BUT is an EA game, campaign too short, for the other half you need to buy a DLC, so stupid. A game with 6 hrs of campaign and a multiplayer that is the same thing, shoot, run, shoot, die, respawn, run, shoot, die, respawn... Well, I don't like the multiplayer of any game.

    I am sorry to say, BF1 is just like every other FPS shooter.
    Many years ago i was hoping for a WW1 game with potential to be huge (Verdun is good, but to small).
    What did I get?
    BF4 with new skins.
    Just a bunch of automatic guns and grenade spamming...

    The price? Jesus f-fing Chicken! I could buy a moped for what they sold this for in the beginning, and its still now worth it.

    This game has been out for almost a year and already has so much DLC but the fact that I'm still experiencing regular glitches/server issues is just unacceptable. The lack of coop in the campaign is also very disappointing considering the let down of the BF4 campaign. Overall, the game feels fun but that never lasts longer than a round or two because of the ugly flaws.

    A good looking shooter with a gameplay that was designed for casual players. Forget about teamplay, you won't get any. Forget about recoil paterns, Dice decided to use a random pattern generator instead. Fun to play sure, but miles away from what BF3 and BF4 were.

    The Quick match is totally broken, everytime i try to join a server by quick match it puts me on a empty server, the servers are horrible, i join a match, 5 minutes later a connection error, the server list do not shows all the servers. Do not buy this game.

    Optimization is excellent compared to graphics, years ahead of its release date. Only multiplayer podlagivaet, this game will be alive for many more years.

    One of my favourite games of all time, with regard to the superb gunplay, gun and soldier feel, and map design. Love this game, rebought it on PC recently in 2022 - servers are still full of people and its easy to find a game - and am SO glad I did buy this again! If in doubt, 2022 is a brilliant time to buy this on PC. If you have not played many games, this feels a lot like battlefieldOne of my favourite games of all time, with regard to the superb gunplay, gun and soldier feel, and map design.     There is no servers in CIS countries. And you will not find any info about it before you buy.

    I used to be a COD fan when I played Modern Warfare 2 back then and I used to buy every COD after that , but they weren't as good. So I decided to try Battlefield for once. Battlefield 1 came out and after some minutes in I realised that Battlefield games were on another level than Call of Duty. I couldn't believe what I had been missing all these years.     I have started playing BF series with BF3. Liked BF3 a lot and did NOT like BF4 too much. When I saw BF1 trailers and initial gameplay, I was mesmerized. Game looks, plays and feels amazing. Bought it in June 2017 after I changed my PC - it is to me one of the most addictive games I played so far. Truly beautiful, rich in details (look at the soles of fallen soldiers, even there they putI have started playing BF series with BF3. Liked BF3 a lot and did NOT like BF4 too much. Bought it in June 2017 after I changed my PC - it is to me one of the most addictive games I played so far. Truly beautiful, rich in details (look at the soles of fallen soldiers, even there they put some details!), feels like a WW1 game and not yet another fps game with stupid bots. If you were ever into WW1 there, movies, books etc, you will love this game. Well, I am older generation, 43 years old now, so maybe that's why I like it so much.

    On the downside - game still has some bugs, especially for planes or some graphic glitches. This is however 0,01 % of the gameplay, you barely notice it. Game was also substantially changed with introducing ttk 2.0, which is kind of update to the killing engine - it is faster than in original gameplay which I do not like. But after so much time I got used to this, fine.

    Overall this is amazing game. I have life, work, no time to play it all the time, but I played much to see this is truly great thing. Compared to BF V at which I cannot even look, it is disgustingly awful piece of c***, BF1 is true gem. I am sure that thanks to the failure with BF V , servers will bve fill for next 2 years at least and I am very happy about it.

    9/10 because of small bugs and changes such as ttk 2.0, but normally I would rate it 10/10 or close.    … Expand

    The game was bad. The menu was trash. I couldn't find an game but when i found one the teams were unbalanced and i was always put on defensive side when i wanted to try out attacking for once, but no im defending. One thing that was decent about this was the gameplay when rarely the teams were balanced and i actually found an game. I didn't enjoy my time "playing" this. Don't buy this evenThe game was bad.
