The problem with arkham knight is that it relied too much on its batmobile combat and everything around it. Still the joker in batmans brain was kind of interesting premise but main villain wasnt that much.

Шедевр! Любители комиксов и хороших игр будут в восторге. Достаточно большая и проработаная карта, восхитительный сюжет, интересные дополнительные миссии. Атмосфера шикарная. Короче говоря всем к прохождению!

Don't bother to all people complaining this game is buggy, it has been fully fixed now, I had just 2 crashes in 55 hours. With my Nvidia 980ti all settings are on ultra and physx is enabled, 2k 60fps, the result is outstanding.

Another awesome game from the Arkham series and now with batmobile. Another awesome story and well-used villains.

Arkham Knight is the excellent closing of Rocksteady's Batman saga.

Only criminals remain in the city. Arkham Knight presents a very interesting script and a large cast of characters.

However, some of them feel quite wasted.

*PLAYABILITY*: Arkham Knight presents the best gameplay of the saga, but the repetitiveness of the Batmovil and some failures of the combat with the environment subtract points.

*GRAPHICS*: Arkham Knight, still in 2019, is still a beast graphically. The artistic design is superb.

*SOUND*: An exquisite soundtrack, convincing sound effects and excellent dubbing.

*INNOVATION*: Arkham Knight brings quite a few new things, but it's not the revolution that Arkham City was in its day.

Played this game after all patches they released for this game, thats why I have no technical issues during playtrough.
Story is great, graphics and atmosphere also. So many to do on the map, for at least 30h.
One big issue for me is lack of Boss Fights (with all DL's) which is not acceptable in Batman game.

Noticeable slowdown like 6 hours in when in the blimp... so I tweaked the settings and it ran smooth again. Seems like it's V-Sync stuff. Anyway, game is great, even if I understand the hate that Batman drives a tank and he can literally fly around the city faster than driving. It adds gameplay variety and the game was engaging from start to finish for me.

Old review: I'm terribly sorry to give this game a 0, but this pc port is a terrible, terrible thing that makes the game unplayable.

GTX 970, i5 4670k: 5 hard crashes in 2 hours, FPS caped at 30... terrible. As a consumer, I simply can't accept this sort of thing.

Edit: Played it in 2017, many of the original bugs have been fixed, yet others remain. A much better experience nontheless.

The game is epic and immersive, and of course you only get this for the fantastic graphic detail of it. Visually is impressive, and once more, like in previous games of the saga, the characters are extremely well designed and detailed graphically and with fantastic voice acting.

Fully recommend it, as the previous ones. Its one of the big games of the past years to "must have" to any Steam collection.

The game seems to be great and amazing... if it were not poorly ported to PC. It has technical issues that makes batmobile races unplayable, and found myself with a game breaking bug trying to follow Two faces missions. I could only see the bad ending, and without catching Two faces I can't see the true ending. I'm not going to waste another 60 hours playing a game that result I can't finish.

Aside from a few sputters during the animation when entering the Batmobile and the FPS cap at 30, I didn’t experience any of the problems many PC players were experiencing with the game. If any dark, rainy, dirty and downtrodden city could be beautiful, it’s Gotham in Arkham Knight.

And now Gotham is blazing, the streets are captured by gangs, and Batman in the company of allies is scurrying back and forth, like an early superhero help, and extinguishes one "Fire" after another. After the first few hours in Batman: Arkham Knight, it becomes clear that this plot meltshenie will not end for the hero anything good. Rocksteady is ready to put an end to the story and make Batman's last fight with the criminal world of Gotham truly memorable.
This inner readiness to bid farewell to the character with which the developers spent six years is declared literally in every scene. You will first see a confused Batman, who understands that, choosing from two evils, he will still come to disaster. You will first see broken Batman, when grief fills the whole space of the game. You will first see a lying Batman, ready to go to treason to save Gotham. Perhaps you will first see a living Batman, and not a heroic doll, capable of doing only two things - pushing pretentious speeches and sending one villain after another behind bars. And the point here is not that the writers wanted to "revive" the hero. Quite the opposite: they are so focused on the "holiness" of the character, cut out of him a piece of live emotion after another, that at some point before us is a real monster. Sometimes I was just disgusted to look at this person, to hear what he was saying. I wanted to scream, "Wait, but it's not Batman, how's that!" But towards the end the puzzle was formed, the whole picture opened to me - and I was just sitting with a drooping jaw, amazed at how clever the writers had put together all the elements together, how masterfully they manipulated my feelings and emotions. But it was in the final, we again return to Gotham. Over the great city there is a danger. The mysterious Knight of Arkham in the company of Harley Quinn, Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-faced, Mysterious and other villains collects a huge army, before which the only task is to destroy all who dare to stand in their way and subdue Gotham and its inhabitants. The conflict came to a fundamentally new level: the streets of the city go tanks, the sky is controlled by drones. Around the roadblocks are broken, on the buildings are installed automatic turrets, opening fire on anyone who is in the radius of their action. Now your enemies are not the companies who drank gopnik, who picked up bits and knives somewhere, but trained soldiers, who prefer to act together. They keep in touch with each other, try to prevent catching "one by one". When the situation becomes critical, they simply go astray and comb one corner after another; "Burn out" Batman's hidden lazy; Spread on the ledges of charges, exploding in contact with a man, which limits the maneuverability of the hero; place turrets that respond to movement. The behavior that we have seen before, however, in the battles with serious opponents. Now this is the norm for most missions. At the same time, the acquaintances of the previous units "patsanchiki" have not disappeared anywhere - they are still wandering the streets in search of simpletons left in the city after the announced evacuation. But if you collide with them, then, as a rule, while driving a batmobile. Just go, knock them down, hit with an electric current or "neutralize" them from a cannon. They do not represent any threat - for example, urban garbage, which could not stand the competition with the well-trained army of Knight Arkham.

The conflict came to a fundamentally new level: the streets of the city go tanks, the sky is controlled by drones. Around the roadblocks are broken, on the buildings are installed automatic turrets, opening fire on anyone who is in the radius of their action.

Batmobile, perhaps, is the most controversial innovation of the game. And not because I have some complaints to him (on the contrary, I consider it ideal, even if he behaves on the road as a poorly managed trough). But the developers did not just write it into the structure of Arkham Knight as one of the options, and built around it a significant part of the game. Gotham patrols the units of drones, which are ruled by the people of Knight Arkham. Faced with them, you transfer the batmobile into combat mode (it turns into a kind of self-propelled combat vehicle) and eliminates the threat. In fact, the drones replaced the usual opponents, which we used to encounter on the streets of the city from time to time.

Arkham Knight proves it is the best title in the series by utilizing all the gameplay elements from the prior 'arkham' games while nicely weaving in the new bat-tank feature. This may prove divisive for you.... when i first saw the footage of tank gameplay I was initially conflicted with the idea but having actually played with it ultimately felt satisfied with the tank sections, as for me, this coupled with intelligent use of the detective mode segments (a-la origins) really keeps things feeling fresh.

Story is fantastic and it really feels that by now Rocksteady have mastered the story telling language for this 'arkham' game world. With all the dlc, it really feels like you're finally getting to play the fully realized vision of a decent batman action adventure with some light rpg elements thrown in. The updated visuals and animations really help tell a stronger story with some exceptional stand out moments which stay with me longer long after playing!

I read on launch the tech in this title was exceptionally bad... However, playing in 2018 the quality esp at higher than 1080p rez is very impressive for an unreal 3 engine game. Helps to have a decent gaming rig to play this on, however, even with latest patches/gpu drivers, I found there were moments where my fps would tank with no obvious on-screen visual benefit. Most of the time it would hold 1800p @ 50fps on my R9 390. Overall then this is a must have game IMO!

Arkham Knight is a really great game, probably one of the best in the series in terms of its complexity and possibilities. I really enjoy how they integrated the batmobile and it feels really seamless switching between game modes.

That being said, I'm only giving it a 7 because there are some major flaws with the PC port, mostly related to the absolutely abysmal control scheme. Controls can be modified, but unfortunately they grouped certain actions together so that changing one really awkward control changes a whole host of other ones. For example, MOUSE3 continues to be the button used for cape stun, but now they've attached whichever cape stun button you use to "cancel grapple" or "drop down", when for all the other games in the series it was left ctrl. That means the only way to set the controls to the same as previous games, you need to make ctrl your cape stun. Entering grates is no longer space+ctrl, but is now space+MOUSE3. It's very frustrating when you're used to playing with one set of controls and they randomly change it on you for absolutely no reason. Another good example of terrible control schemes is making "Enter" the exit challenge button, and "Esc" the retry challenge button, rather than the other way around.

Game is great, but they could have taken one extra day to not **** up the control scheme.

The stories about extremely poor performance and crashes on launch are unacceptable, and I cannot understand how a huge corporation like WB can make such a massive mistake. However, I can only comment on my experiences playing the game from its installation in March 2017. And from my own experiences, I can only say it is a polished port. I suspect I will get downvotes for that, however I can only give my opinion from the gameplay experience I've had.

In it, Batman faces off against Scarecrow, who is seeking revenge for Batman throwing him to Killer Croc in the first game, and the titular Arkham Knight, whose identity you can guess without even playing the game if you are familiar with the comics, and whose identity becomes obvious somewhere in the middle of the game even if you’re not.

This game continues on in the tradition of Arkham City and Arkham Origins in that you play Batman in an open-world city. The map is even bigger this time around, and you are given the Batmobile to drive around in.

The Batmobile is the big new feature of this game, and is very similar to the one seen in the Dark Knight trilogy of movies. It can turn into a tank and move around in any direction while in tank mode. This is essential for fighting the army of tank drones, autonomous vehicles which attack you and the city throughout the game.

Alas, while these sections are okay, they suffer from one major problem: it doesn’t feel very Batman-y. Given that these games are about feeling like Batman, this is something of an issue.

Alas, the rest of the game has little meaningful innovation. The fights in this game are bigger than ever, with a fight in the Batmobile against 60 drones, and fights against large numbers of goons appearing at various points in the game, as well as even more complex predator encounters, where you sneak around and pick off armed guards, including medics who can revive their allies, people who you can’t see through walls with detective vision, and huge goons with miniguns. The biggest innovation in the predator sequences is the so-called fear takedown, where you can take down a whole group of goons in sequence from hiding without them being able to shoot you while doing so.

Alas, this isn’t very innovative, and the predator sequences and the fighting with goons sequences don’t feel very fresh or new. And while that’s okay to some extent, the lack of really interesting new enemies is kind of discouraging.

Added onto this are the boss fights, or rather, the lack thereof. This game is very obsessed with the Batmobile, and unfortunately, a lot of the new boss fights are Batmobile centric. And indeed, the main boss of the game is the Arkham Knight, who you fight over and over again in various guises. This isn’t so bad – the fights are actually all unique – but they’re big on flash and not so big on substance. Cool fights – like the Doctor Freeze fight from the second game – aren’t really on the menu here, and while some of the fights are okay, and sneaking around blowing up tanks in the Batmobile is kind of neat in its own way, in the end, it feels a bit repetitive at times after a while.

The other villains are by and large much less interesting, sadly. Two-Face and Penguin make an appearance, but they’re just reskinned mooks, and are taken out in the same way. Deathstroke shows up again but is in a tank which is mostly a rehash of a previous fight in the game, Man-Bat is not really a boss at all, and while Firefly is a different take on the fight, it doesn’t feel terribly boss-like and is more of a racing sequence. Indeed, apart from the titular Arkham Knight, the only real boss-feeling enemy in the game is the Riddler, who pilots a gigantic mecha to take you out after you solve all of his riddles… again. This is actually a somewhat interesting fight, in part because it makes use of the switching mechanic which shows up in a few fights where you fight as two characters in the same fight, switching from one to another as you do team attacks, or just when you feel like it.

Unfortunately, the Scarecrow himself doesn’t show up in any meaningful capacity as an enemy – gone are the cool sequences from Arkham Asylum, replaced by and large with cut scenes. There are a couple of neat sequences, particularly towards the end of the game, but ultimately the game doesn’t do a whole lot with Scarecrow.

And indeed, this leaks over into the story as well – Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight are both pretty generic and uninteresting, and the game as a whole is a mostly bland revenge plot with one real twist which is kind of neat and involves the (deceased) Joker. Indeed, the Joker is again the highlight of this game, which is kind of sad because he’s, well, dead the whole game. On the whole, the plot isn’t terribly interesting or exciting, and it feels very much like you’re just bludgeoning your way through, rather than taking control of the situation in the way that it felt like you were doing in Arkham Asylum.

The game as a whole isn’t tight. I 100%ed the game and took about 70 hours doing it according to my Steam play time, though I suspect it was less than that and I just left the game running for a while a few times while alt-tabbed out. And unfortunately, this game felt long.

It's a very good action game with a small amount of weak content.
    + very good story
    + very good music
    + very good gameplay
    + very good graphic

I would give it 10/10 but sometimes i don't feel a climate of batman universe.

The main problem of Batman: Arkham Knight this is the city. The impression is twofold: Yes, the city was needed, and the city is very beautiful but he is as useless and filled with absolutely dull and dreary third-party missions for the destruction of enemies. The worst thing is that to get this ending you need to beat the game 100%. It is not correct. Why the plot should depend on empty numbers?!

The plot is fun to follow. And if the game cut absolutely unnecessary outdoor world, the game would only benefit from this. You can spend hours to perform the third party tasks, then return to the story and not remember what is there in the story happens. Don't waste your time - game is to pass solely for the sake of the plot. Although I do not deny that there are a few interesting side quests to investigate.

It is a pity that the villains like two-face, Penguin, Riddler, I thought you are not interesting side quests. In the story they are not! This is a big minus. But as returned the Joker is just awesome - scenariste done, and in the end everything becomes more interesting.

Separately, you can select a PC release that is just disgusting. Although I have almost had no problems and I successfully passed.

Batman: Arkham Knight is a wonderful game - the beautiful, interesting plot, still fun battle system, but as well it is not an interesting side of the job, and an empty, useless city.

Putting simply, the animation/effects are brilliant. The gameplay is really full, the story is completely unengaging, the characters are aweful. Add to that, I never got my copy to run steadily at even 30fps. I'll be buying another WB product the day they pay me back for selling me a broken one.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A very solid game, as long as you have a very solid hardware setup to run the game.

Ran this on a 27" late 2013 iMac with 4GB of VRAM and 8 GB of RAM on a Windows 10 partition. I will say that in general, I was getting just under 30fps while traveling around the city, but anytime I would stay in one location or do AR challenges it would get up to about 60fps.

Love the decisions made to expand the game and combat. Huge map, and the addition of the medic makes combat much more challenging and interesting. Love the fear takedowns. Story itself is fairly good, but the real highlight is really just gameplay developments. The revelation of the identity of the Arkham Knight is pretty dumb and falls flat. The resolution with Joker venom/Joker and Scarecrow makes absolutely no sense. BUT there is fantastic voice acting throughout.

Personally, I did not enjoy the tank-related challenges. I found it tedious and bizarre for a Batman game. The fact that the final confrontations with both Arkham Knight and Deathstroke are nearly identical tank-missions made me just stop worrying about getting 120% game completion all together. Lame.

Considering I bought this during a Steam sale for $10 with all DLC, it was well worth it.

Overall the game felt like an ending reunion for Batman fans who grew up during the 80's and 90's (especially for fans of the cult classic cartoon). The biggest complaint I have of the game is the use of the Batmobile. I rarely found myself using it (needing it outside of the story) and found the controls to be a little unintuitive. At the time of this review, the PC port is riddled with problems for many users. I never experienced many of the performance hardships. With my 980, I was able to max the game out in 4k at 30fps. This game relies too heavily on awful tank battles. Nearly every notable boss battle was in the Bat-Tank. Really disappointing because one of the strong suits of the previous two games was the intuitive and really cool boss fights. This game makes the boss fights probably the least fun part of the game, when it used to be one of the strongest aspects. I mean, you fight Deathstroke in a tank. Deathstroke, the world's greatest assassin, uses a freaking tank to fight Batman. Pretty lame if you ask me. Get it on sale if you want, it's an okay end to the series. Boss battles were maybe too mild and not as challenging, ex. Firefly. I only needed to refer to a walkthrough once only because I was confused about a timed response needed in the game. This isn't so bad if you compare this to Arkham Origins, where I had to refer to forums and walkthroughs several times.

Battle with the large flying sentries could have been more challenging or engaging. Graphics = 10, Gameplay = 10, Story = 8. Wish Batman's other allies were more involved in the story and had their quests in the game, would have extended the awesomeness of this long game. Ex. Catwoman was quite involved in the Arkham City. In Arkham Knight, very limited. Robin and Nightwing drop in for teamup battles but then disappear afterwards. Wish you could explore their missions. DLC: Each story was great, but way too short. They could have taken their time to make a long extension pack that adds more story after the end of Arkham Knight. Mad Hatter's puzzles are extremely annoying to solve, might be a keyboard + mouse issue. Just don't play Arkham Origins, adds nothing new to the Arkham City engine other than snow effects and a dead boring city.

They use this cool camera trick a lot where things (or even entire rooms) change when they're just out of view. When Batman starts losing his mind at one point in the story the game does a lot of little fun things to mess with you. Nothing extreme like pretending the game is crashing like they did in a previous game, but stuff like billboards changing subtly after you look away. The combat is just as great as ever, with even more animations added. The batmobile has been a debated feature but I like it, it adds a lot to the game including new mechanics to be used in puzzles. Speaking of puzzles, there are a lot of them. 243. The Riddler has a lot of free time. Expand

Comprised of confusing and uncoordinated combat, poorly controlled batmobile segments, unworthy dlc, repetitive side quests, and no worthwhile boss battles, Batman Arkham Knight is a disappointing send-off for an otherwise beloved modern game franchise.

The developers were standing on tall shoulders, faced a bit with the dilemma that Oasis must have had, after banging out two great first albums. So what we have here, then, is Arkham Knight - a new villain, a bigger city, more gadgets and, of course, the batmobile. On paper it sounds great, and for much of the time, I found myself having a lot of fun. The only trouble is that not so long ago I had played Arkham Origins ... so despite all my best efforts at once again being able to play my favourite comic book character in a beautiful-looking and technically marvellous game, I actually found myself suffering from Batfatigue. I couldn't help thinking that I was playing a game I had played before, a million times. Initially I loved the Batmobile, but after a few tank encounters, it became a chore. Didn't play the game til it was patched, and can confirm I had zero technical issues playing at 4k. Definitely would recommend this to a mad fan, or someone who hasn't played Arkham City. Expand

There are around 20 ways to beat every mission and many different way to fight enemies. You have multiple ways to navigate thru the city and multiple ways of sneaking around enemies. I am not going to spoil this game too much so let me just say. Don't judge the game based on the older reviews when the game was broken. Play it now and I am pretty sure you will love it as I did. Before I go on: I am very well aware that a lot of people are still having trouble with the game. Yes, it was one of the worst game launches in a long time, shouldn't have happened that way. However, I will not let that influence my rating, as the review and rating are based on the way the game works TODAY (for me), and the game itself. I didn't get the game until September or so, and it worked perfectly well almost immediately

I do have an i7-4790, 16 gigs of Ram, a GTX 960 with 4 gigs of Ram, using the settings suggested by GForce experience.

After the patches/fixes that have been released (today's the 7th of Nov), the game works absolutely fine for me, no reasons to complain. The performance is great, no frame rate issues at all.

Gotham looks beautiful, and I love the atmosphere of the game. Basically, it's another No Man's Land type situation, which kinda makes sense because otherwise, you'd run over citizens by the hundreds in your batmobile.
Which leads me to the biggest innovation of AK, the batmobile/battank.

I admit it is fun to race around Gotham in that thing. Driving is nice, the thing is pretty tough, like a tank, so you can run into walls etc, destroy fences etc. In battle-mode, there are some nice tricks you can do, and the controls are totally different. It somehow reminds me of that DaVinci-tank in AC: Brotherhood... and I wonder whether the handling and "style" of the battle mode was inspired by this.

Melee is fun as well, blocking works great, so do special combos. Eventually, you will need to use them to handle enemies with stun batons, shields, swords etc. It can be rough, but I never thought it was unfair. In some cases, like bank robberies, you should approach it tactically.

The boss fights are fun as well. They can be rough, but again, not unfair. Yes, it took me quite some time to take out the Arkham Knight's imba vehicles, but boy, was it satisfying.

Where the game absolutely SHINES is atmosphere and writing. I love the story. I am sure most of you know the big reveals in the game, but still, I'll try not to mention them. The state Batman is in, which kinda makes it harder for him, is extremely well done (with a certain villain talking to you a lot), and the end of that state is TOTALLY great.
There are some very very cool throwbacks to "A Death In The Family", which, to me as a fan of the comics, was a very special treat.

There are some very surprising twists in the story, not only the two big reveals I mentioned. Up until the very end, I felt entertained, and I thoroughly enjoyed the story and working my way through it...the boss fights were harrowing, but ultimately satisfying.

Now, for the negative parts (IMO):
    - There is too much focus on using the mobile. Yes, I can understand they put a lot of work into the mobile, but it felt TOO much... fighting gazillions of drones, driving around, having to find ways of getting your batmobile into a certain area or building to use it to progress... it is ok, but I wish they had cut the amount of driving, drone fighting and "need to find a way to get the mobile in here" by about 30-40%. YMMV

    - The "after death teases". They are part of the series, sure, but they eventually got more than frustrating. They were tiring, especially with stuff like the Riddler challenges (races, riddles, etc.) which I didn't enjoy at all.

    - The ending of the game, IMO, ROCKED; but... I didn't like the fact you have to complete ALL of the side-stuff in order to see the ultimate ending (Knightfall protocol). I loved playing the main-storyline, but when I realized I still had to finish ALL the side stuff to see that final part, I didn't like it. It DOES make sense that you need to do all that, considering what Knightfall is, but... I LIKED the fact that I didn't HAVE to do all the side stuff. Some of them were fun, but I liked that I had the freedom to leave out some of them. However, if you want to see the final ending, you will have to.
I wouldn't mind this, if not for the final, very frustrating Riddler challenge. I thought that some of his challenges (hint: glide and final race) were WAY harder than anything I had to do in the main-storyline. Add his very repetitve teasing and ridicule, it kinda sucks the fun out of stuff

    So, PROs:

    - GREAT storyline
    - Some killer twists and surprises in the story (even without the Arkham Knight stuff, which at some point became predictable)
    - Great atmosphere
    - Graphics
    - Sound/Music
    - Some of the Batmobile related stuff
    - New gadgets and moves
    - Appearance of some lesser known villains, sometimes in a surprising way
    - Duo fights...a ton of fun. they could have put in more of that, but thats a minor complaint

    Cons:
    - Too much batmobile (way too much)
    - Need to do every single side-quest to get the final ending
    - Riddler challenges..frustrating,not fun

I have no delusions about the fact that many people had problems playing this game however I find it odd that I, with a very mid-range PC, was able to play this with no problems AT ALL, on the medium-high graphical settings in 720p resolution. When I say I had not performance problems I really mean it. The two biggest issues I had with this game were as follows the fact that I saw Jason Todd as the Arkham Knight "plot twist" coming from 10 miles a way; it was obvious to any true Batman fan. Secondly the amount of time I had to wait to download this **** was LONG; hey developers not every gamer has amazing download speeds give us a break!

This game is spectacular but not perfect however it was the "perfect" ending to the trilogy.

Enemies, props, the environment, 2D effects, all blend in to the background because everything is the same color. The predominate colors are black, gray, red, and green. Only riddler objects are green. Everything else is some shade of gray-red. This causes a significant eye strain on the player due to the fact everything is hard to see in your periphery. Very often I am hit simply because I did not see the enemy in time. Red Counter enemies can be hard to identify, because their prompt is red like everything else. This lack of contrast makes for a very frustrating experience.

Red Unavoidable - There are certain enemies that have undefendable “red prompts” during combat. In Arkham City this was limited to a selection of enemies. I did not like the red prompts in Arkham City that much since it was a little difficult to remember how to counter them, at first. Eventually, I could remember. In AK there are too many red prompts, so I can not keep track of how to counter what.

The Good - Dual Team Combat, new Big Guys (electrical is my favorite), playing as Nightwing and Catwoman. Oh wait, I played as those guys in Arkham City. Not much has improved on Batman’s combat.

Preadator difficulty - The difficulty in predator missions has been massively nerfed. Instead of a scenario in which Batman must think how to achieve the goal, you simply attack the guards one by one in any order. You can use the numerous floor grates the Gotham City Council put in everywhere for no apparent reason. Or you can use the many perches, vents, tight rope wires, etc. Most predator maps have roughly the same number of safety zones like perches and vents, so there is not much variety.

Alarm Collars - Every predator mission feels the same to me, the challenge barely changes. The neck collars worn by inmates in Arkham City no longer exist, there is nothing replacing or improving that mechanic. Players can kill enemies in any order without fear of getting caught often, since guards have idea who is dead until they walk near them. If guards walk near them it is very easy to attack them as well. Most of my predator missions ended with a solitary pile of guard bodies.

Silent Takedowns - The radius for takedowning enemies has been increased, thereby decreasing the difficulty too much. There is little risk in performing a silent takedown.

Fear Takedowns - Fear takedowns were enjoyable at first, because it looked cool and played in to the dominating aspect of Batman. However, as the game went on I realized they became a crutch for players.

Environmental Takedowns - In Arkham City environmental takedowns stunned enemies, forcing the player to swoop in and kill or merely use it as a distraction. In AK they kill on contact.

Driving - Driving the Batmobile in AK seems like the coolest feature ever. Hooray, the BATMOBILE!! Instead, it becomes an unnecessary device in Batman’s arsenal. The Batmobile can drive through anything, and I mean anything. Mailboxes, traffic lights, freeway supports, sides of buildings, churches, etc. Few objects in AK stop the player from driving the Batmobile. Batman AK is no GTA, Gran Turismo, or Mario Kart, I get that, it is not a driving game. But that’s exactly the problem. Driving is too easy in AK, there is no challenge to it. The car makes things too easy in some cases, such as killing riddler spies, and allowing the player to run down APCs. There are even a number potential predator missions that are finished completely by a few hits of the Batmobile’s Bathowitzer. Driving the Batmobile DOES NOT fit within the fantasy of Batman.

Tank mode - Driving the Battank is by far, the worst experience in a Batman game. It is the most repetitive and least interesting part of Batman AK. All you do is slide away from enemy fire, then shoot. Slide, then shoot. Slide, then shoot. It gets repetitive fast, and lacks any depth. There are special weapons like the EMP blast or missile barrage, but they grow old quick since they require very little skill. After enough tanking those special weapons are only used because it means the tank battle will be over soon. Battank battles do not fit within the fantasy of Batman.

The final boss battle in Batman Arkham Knight was just a repeat of the previous Cloudburst tank battle. Except this time it was easier. Woooo.

That’s it, one boss battle and it is a copy and paste of a previous encounter. Very big letdown to have no bosses in a game like this. I think riddler has a boss battle, but I won’t be playing long enough to encounter it.

Batman: AK could have been an epic conclusion to the Arkham series. Instead, the features they decided to add to the game detracted from the original game. Batman is someone who sneaks around and out-thinks his prey, getting into hand-to-hand combat when necessary (and kicking ass when he does). Batman does not do most of his work

As a fan of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City I am very disappointed with Arkham Knight and wish I have not wasted my time on this "epic finale" of the trilogy. What is the point of playing the game anyway when you can't even get it running smoothly and make you get frustrated all the time?

Activision, EA, Ubisoft are no doubt the top worst game companies, but I think it is safe to say that WB has now joined the list too.

This is post the October end patch, the game still runs pretty bad. No optimization at all, deserves a zero , but since the story is decent, i give it a 1. Total disrespect to PC users

Playing as Batman? Awesome. Playing as Batman through repetitive, empty missions? Less awesome. Playing as the Batmobile? Awful.

Porting issues aside, Batman: Arkham Knight is a decent enough game. It's not the spectacular swansong we hoped for from Rocksteady, but it's another solid - if predictable - slice of Arkham gameplay, with a couple of great sections along the way.

An entertaining superhero power fantasy, let down by awful Batmobile combat, a laughable villain, and serious performance issues.
