Nov 20, 2024Augmented Empire is a solid game that is worthy of exposure to a larger audience than when it was first released. If turn based strategy games with great production values and an intriguing story and characters sounds enticing, then you should definitely check out Augmented Empires.

Apr 23, 2025Augmented Empire is a decent experience that doesn’t innovate enough to become truly engaging. The universe, with its noir and science-fiction ideas, is well-designed, with solid character interactions and voice actors that breathe life into them. The tactical combat system works well but combat spaces are too small to make the engagements interesting. The game is forced to make its QTEs more difficult to make sure players have to actually use healing or special character abilities. The graphics do not impress. Augmented Empire needed bigger combat spaces and more enemy variety to make an impression on fans of the turn-based strategy genre.

Aug 30, 2017With a dynamic and engrossing story playing out on a personal stage in front of you, Augmented Empire is a class act.

Nov 20, 2024While the gameplay can be fairly simplistic and levels are sometimes lacking depth, Coatsink delivers a gripping story with characters that feel truly real, like watching a book come to life. Repetitive combat may keep me from believing the game is a masterpiece, but Augmented Empire’s narrative threads, beautiful levels, and distinct vibes kept me hooked from start to finish.

Apr 15, 2025The original virtual reality tactical game came to PC in traditional form without VR. And it wasn't a bad move, although this game dominates especially in VR.

Apr 15, 2025Lack of challenge and concessions in gameplay depth hold Augmented Empire back from being as appealing to strategy genre veterans and those who like their games to put their skills to the test. Thankfully, the interesting approach to decision-making and the world of New Savannah make up for these deficiencies, making this indie title a solid augment to invest your time in.
