I admit, I’m the target audience for this game, so I probably enjoyed it more than the average gamer. If you’re an Asterix fan who either hasn’t played XXL 2 or wants to play it again, this is certainly worth picking up, despite the game itself being a bit more simplistic and repetitious than it needs to be. A fun Asterix game and a decent remaster, so a goodish score. But why by Belanos isn’t Sam Schieffer called Samfishus?!

Probably one of those remasters that no one asked for, but nevertheless OSome studios deserves some kudos for delivering XXL 2 with considerably refined visuals. It’s a game, though, that is mostly aimed to those players with fond memories of playing in their PS2. Even then nostalgia and the abundance of humorous references could get those players so far before repetition kicks in.

The second game of "XXL" Trilogy elevates the combat to another level with enemies who make references to other game frachises like Mario,The second game of "XXL" Trilogy elevates the combat to another level with enemies who make references to other game frachises like Mario, Sonic, Lara Croft, etc. The graphic visual is a blessing comparing to the first game. The only thing who bothers me is the number of barriers that opens with bashing a certain number of enemies: there are A LOT, which makes the combat repetitive. Besides that, the story is funny and envolving. Expand
