How can anyone give this amazing, beautiful Assassin's Creed game 0/10?? It's one of the best in the series, so whoever gives it 0 is clearly not a fan and never has been. I bet these people are just envy that this game gets attention. How tasteless and pathetic someone needs to be to give some good game 0/10 just because they are envy? Well now i'm angry, here's my 10/10, take that.

I had a faith in new AC:Valhalla and I wasn't badly suprised. That game is awesome. Yeah sure, some bugs are still there but nothing that patch will not fix. Much better than Odyssey, England and Norway are surprisingly beautiful and detailed. Eivor have a good voice, I like more men voice, but women voice acting are good as well. We'll see about Cyberpunk but for now this is MY GOTY!

World is beautiful, there is huge number of small side quests and activities, every time i am searching for hidden loot and gear feels like solving a puzzle.

Really surprised Ubisoft managed to make this. I mean they have had hits before, but after 2019 flop i kinda lost hope, seems i was too quick to judge. AC Valhalla is at least 100 hour game with tons of good content, locations, enemies etc. Story is also surprisingly good, specially if compared to Odyssey.

To anyone who is new to Assassin's Creed series : There's 100s of hours gameplay footage of this game on youtube. Watch it before you buy it! If it doesn't interest you, nobody is forcing you to buy it. It's great game but clearly not for everyone. I refuse to believe that someone who watched trailers, watched gameplay, bought it and then gives it 0 or 1. It doesn't even make sense.

I'm also happy that one-shot assassination is back, something that should have always been there, i have no idea why it was even taken out, it makes no sense. Anyway it's back and works just like in older games. Map is huge, specially England, Norway is big enough too. Everything is not absolutely perfect obviously, but i wasn't expecting it to be, specially in year like 2020. What i mean by that, some bugs. But overall it's very good AC game. Here's a question for everyone who give score between 0 and 3, are you banned from youtube? Is it so difficult to watch some gameplay, before you buy it? I actually strongly doubt they even have it.

AC Odyssey was weak, everyone knows it, but Valhalla was solid step back to what made AC games good. People seem to forget that Black Flag had huge open world to explore, so many locations. Only games from now on that deserve to be inspiration for future assassin's creed's are following: AC 4 Black Flag, Unity, some parts of Origins and Valhalla. That's it. The game is surprisingly good, an interesting plot, quests, filling of the world and interacting with it, characters, combat, crafting, equipment, exploring the world - everything has become a way better than previous games.

Finished only around 21% of the game in 16 hours. This game is massive and picturesque. Every region in the game differs from another with changes in climate, mountains, flora & fauna. Assassins Creed stands in line with all the other great episodes of this franchise. For me as viking-fan it's even more cool, because I love the setup of the game. It's not a big as odyssey - but in a positive way. Buidling a the own village...plundering with the crew...great.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 93% completion took roughly 104 hours of in-game gameplay time, with some Orlog, or drinking challenge remaining.
Some possible spoilers will be in this review, so if you did not play the game yet, I advise you to look elsewhere.

    Positives:

-First off let me start off with the story. Personally, I found the story really well written, and engaging, no matter if you played as Layla or Eivor. The modern arc, which I really did not like in Origins, and Odyssey took a turn to the better, with some plot twist, that are albeit somewhat predictable if you do the Animus Anomaly mysteries, but nonetheless, are surprising. (If you want to be surprised then do the Animus Anomalies after completing the main story, to truly understand what happened to the Isu gods)

-After that we have gameplay, smooth combat, rewarding stealth mechanics, and a variety of abilities, that feel much more rewarding to unlock than in Odyssey. I also really like the addition of the stamina bar in combat, which can limit the amount of attacks, or rolls you are able to do. In Odyssey, I spent most of my time rolling in combat, but parrying in this game feels more rewarding, as a good parry not only staggers the enemy, but also it can deal damage, and make it easier for you to do a stun attack or a stomp kill.

-Much better gear system, with less full inventories, but with a good upgrading system.

-The game's optimizations are really good. I have an i5 6500, and a GTX 1070 in a 4-5 year old system, but it handled the game really well, rarely dripping below 60 fps in intense combat situations such as raiding a monastery, or taking a castle.

    Negatives:

-Why aren't there any one handed swords in this game?

-Bugs, but that can be fixed when a patch comes.

    -Hardest difficulty can feel easy.

-However an SSD is required for the game to run smoothly. I played on an HDD myself, and the load times were awfully long, the worst one being travelling to Asgard/Jotunheim, which took almost 5 minutes, with a freshly defragmented HDD.

    In conclusion:
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a well worth game to put your money on, considering it gave me 104 hours of playtime for 48 Euros, which is less than half of an Euro for an hour of gameplay, which is a really good time considering Demon's Souls took 23 hour to complete (Although, that was 23 really enjoyable hour) for 60 euros. It is well worth the price for anyone longing for a great viking adventure, or if he is a fan of the series.

I like that they got rid of leveling system that was in Odyssey, even though I liked it, but constant gear upgrades were obnoxious. Instead we have a huge skill tree, that looks a bit like POE thing. It is great, but I don't know why did they hide the future nods, I mean, you level up skills and nods blindly not knowing what is next... you can always respec anytime you want, but just why? Anyway it is not a big deal - you can always look up skill tree on the Internet.

Game performance and optimization is average. They removed some options from graphic settings, that were in Odyssey, that were important to lower for me, so I had some FPS drops here and there. Also, Odyssey ran on directx11 better for me than dx12.

That being said, it is still one of the best games I ever played.

There's so much to do, voice acting is great, story is great, graphics are amazing. It's going to be something i'm gonna play until cyberpunk comes out. There's not much else anyway. Not interested at all in spiderman dlc.

Every single Feature feels incredible and sailing around with your Longship to Raid monasteries to get resources so you can build and upgrade your settlement is such a great grinding system. There is not 1 boring thing in this game. My absolute favorite thing is to upgrade my Gear and Weapons because not only is it super hard to find the rare Ingots, but each time you upgrade they get an improved look and you never really know what to expect so its kinda like opening a Christmas Present. And speaking of gear and weapons, this game has some of the best looking outfits and weapons I have ever seen in any games.

As a Norwegian I have been dreaming of a Viking Game my entire life and somehow Ubisoft manages to nail nearly every single wish i had for the Game. This is The First Open World AAA Viking Game ever created and I am honestly really happy that Assassin's Creed is the one.

This Game gives me the same feeling that Skyrim gave me when it first came out, a feeling that I never thought I would feel again. You can go to do a specific thing and then all of the sudden 5 hours have passed and you are at the other side of the map without even touching a single Main Quest.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will always have a special place in my heart and as much as I would love for them to make a Sequel I know that will not happen so I would very much like to see a Year 2 Pass or even better, a spin-off game with Online.

Beautiful graphics and great plot. But those boring, long and frequent finishers were more anoying than cool after few hours of playing. But the worst thing is puting another time unnecessary animus thread inside good story, that just destroying immersion. It doesn't make game more elaborate only destroying mood. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great-looking open-world game with impressive landscapes and cinematography. However, the checklist collectible open-world still needs some work to feel truly engaging, and combat is too tedious and too frequent to be compelling. As a lapsed fan of Assassin's Creed trying to see if I can click with the series once again, Valhalla didn't quite hook me as I was hoping it would.

Assassins Creed Valhalla is a lot of fun and easy to sink dozens of hours into. It is the best entry in the more recent trilogy and genuinely elevates the gameplay mechanics. Content could be considered somewhat bloated still, but it is diverse enough and the setting and story is solid most of the way through.
