    TLDR: More of the same formula that was established in Origins and Odyssey, with some expanded systems and features, but don't purchase it if you're looking for something entirely different or didn't like the previous two games. Play at your own pace and only play the content that you want to complete, otherwise it can become tedious and a bit of a slog to get through.

    PROS:
    - Very good worldbuilding and sense of exploration that has been a highlight of the series since Origins
    - 9th century Norway and England are fantastic and beautiful
    - Robust combat mechanics (if a little bit more glitchy and rough than Odyssey's more fluid animations)
    - Good weapon (duel wielding) & player customisation (i.e., hairstyles, facial hair, tattoos, etc)
    - Decent story and voice acting for most important characters
    - Fun and interesting puzzles off the beaten path
    - Good RPG mechanics for upgrading character's skills (bit hard to navigate the skill tree, though)

    CONS:
    - Too much filler content (completionists will hate playing this game!)
    - Armour sets are a bit dull
    - Some character models and animations aren't as detailed as those in Origins or Odyssey (especially non-important NPCs)
    - No naval combat (if you liked the ship-to-ship battles in Odyssey, then you'll be disappointed)
    - Raiding can be fun, but a bit repetitive at times
    - Settlement upgrade system seemed a bit of a chore to me; didn't really feel invested in it (although it was nice to see how your settlement changed over time)    … Expand

    It is the most boring AC game, I ever played. I am trying to finish it since one year and each time I try, I don't want to play it again. P.S: I played all AC games. After I purchased this game, I started to play AC Origins, which I bought many years ago. I could finish that in one week, as like all other ac games

    Exceptional game, far and away the best of the most recent trilogy, and easily the best since Black Flag. Beautiful, relaxing, and fun, with combat that finally feels deep and challenging.

    This is an amzing game, there are a lot of bugs but the story; gameplay and grafics are amazing and that is all that counts, there is so much to do in this game with great combat, viking lore and music.

    Good game. The game world is very rich. The atmosphere, many game mechanics, stories and much more. 100 in 1. It is rather difficult and time-consuming to list all the possibilities at once. Although the previous part about the Odyssey is my favorite, I also really liked Valhalla. An excellent choice for those who like long adventures.

    Sin duda, AC: Valhalla es un muy buen juego. La cantidad de contenido que tiene es simplemente apabullante y mucho de ese contenido es de bastante calidad, incluso muchas de las tramas secundarias y eventos del mundo tienen su historia y su interés. La historia principal es obviamente la más interesante, y tiene bastante que contar y un protagonista muy bien creado con buenos personajesSin duda, AC: Valhalla es un muy buen juego. La cantidad de contenido que tiene es simplemente apabullante y mucho de ese contenido es de bastante calidad, incluso muchas de las tramas secundarias y eventos del mundo tienen su historia y su interés. La historia principal es obviamente la más interesante, y tiene bastante que contar y un protagonista muy bien creado con buenos personajes alrededor. Las mecánicas de juego continúan lo visto en Oddysey y lo desarrollan un poco, pero no demasiado; y si bien hay cosas que se pueden pagar con dinero real, lo cierto es que no son nada necesarias si eres un poco dado a hacer mucho del contenido.

    Gráficamente, el juego está muy bien, con una alta calidad en la ejecución de todos los apartados artísticos. Aunque, personalmente, a nivel de diseño se me hizo un tanto repetitivo, la Inglaterra medieval no tiene una gran variedad de localizaciones ni sitios especialmente impresionantes o chulos, y eso la hace mucho menos atractiva que otros lugares visitados en la saga. A nivel de sonido es muy bueno, especialmente cuando suena la música de Wardruna, pero todo desde las voces a los efectos funciona de maravilla. Eso si, hay que tener en cuenta que tiene una buena cantidad de problemas, desde pequeñas tonterías a salidas a escritorio.

    Por todo ello, sin duda es un buen juego de rol que vale la pena explorar y disfrutar. Un 8.

    En cuanto al DLC de Paris, personalmente me parece flojo en todos los aspectos. No malo, pero tampoco bueno y sin duda no tiene la cantidad de contenido que debería para el precio que tiene.     A fun and engaging story, wide open world where you go go anywhere and do anything. Interesting side events and activities. Combat, while it can be buggy, is varied with different weapons and movesets. Great fun and a good buy.

    Me pasa que desde un tiempo hacia aquí los Assasins los veo un poco sin alma, aun así tiene cosas muy entretenidas y este en concreto no es un mal juego de vikingos pero me falta un algo, tiene muchas cosas buenas pero no me he conseguido meter en la historia.

    Fantastic game, really detailed, nice graphics, combat polished to the max, however I don't really like viking mythology so I deducted 1 point.+ dlcs are not so good

    According to my prologue playing experience, I must note, that Ubisoft has completed a huge work with the mistakes of their previous parts, like Odyssey and Origins. Less boring grind and more interesting side quests, more complicated and challenging battle system where you have to think and to react not to grind if you want to win. Also we have a full-value stealth system including the possibility of the instant kill of EVERY enemy by the hidden blade which is also perfect for me. The massive battles are perfect if to compare them with the Odyssey. Now we have a complete captivating castle sieges unlike the previous part where we had tedious battles of blue and red commands. Ubisoft tryes to make the Assassins' Creed franchise great again and that is good. The only minus for me are some graphic bugs and boring music. Maybe the open world is a little empty. So the real mark is 8/10, the game is not ideal of course, but I have seen here a lot of nonobjective negative comments, so that's why my mark is 10. However it is the best Assassin from the Black Flag times. Keep it up Ubisoft - that was a very pleasant surprise in this terrible year.     Great game to spend time in November until Cyberpunk comes in December. Valhalla is graphically amazing. I have heard some people don't like combat that much, i personally like it, not sure what's the problem. Overall very good AC game, might be Ubisoft's best open world ever.

    This game deserves nothing but praise. Yeah it had some bugs at launch, but what games doesn't. Unlike Bethesta, Ubisoft always cleans their games up. In fact, huge patch is coming tomorrow.

    I'm about 50 hours into the game, about to the point that you pick your first big kill of people, still loving it, I think you you can not play and just walk around and find fun things to do, the game is not one I want and get bored.

    Playing on XSX, the game is amazing. I've played every single Assassin's Creed game at launch, and this is the most happy I've been with any of them since Brotherhood. A big part of that is probably because I personally love Viking lore.

    A more compact story and level scaling for more challenge would have gotten this game to a 9/10. Visuals are 10/10. 90 hour playthrough for me as very thorough first half then just hitting nodes near routes to story objectives. I ended up over-leveled and had to bump to hardest difficulty. If you're not feeling this game after 8 or 10 hours, I'd consider moving on to something else.

Все проблемы и вопросы игры были объяснены в конце, так что после прохождение не будет вопросов подобным: а почему мы можем выбирать пол персонажа в воспоминаниях нашего предка, это очень хорошо будет потом объяснено, кстати о поле, женщина канон, сорян. If the devs are looking at this: keep it up and make more games like this one. I had a really good time with this one and everything from story to combat and the brilliant world has been excellent.

    This game has a great Viking vibe, I find the characters in this game to be well written and the story interesting. the game is based on the gameplay of the last two assassins creed which for me is a good idea. the game has a very good soundtrack and related to the vikings theme and to finish the game is beautiful

    I have a love-hate relationship with ubisoft, I buy their game hate it and buy the next one. With the previous 2 installments of the AC franchise I thought that they lost the touch of Assassin's Creed, but i'm happy to report that they didn't. The story is interesting and heavily based on history, characters have depth and make you care for your relationship with them. Voiceover work wasI have a love-hate relationship with ubisoft, I buy their game hate it and buy the next one. With the previous 2 installments of the AC franchise I thought that they lost the touch of Assassin's Creed, but i'm happy to report that they didn't. The story is interesting and heavily based on history, characters have depth and make you care for your relationship with them. Voiceover work was done incredibly well both for the characters and the npc, it never felt like you were listening to a dude with a mic pretend to be someone. Their idea of being able to switch characters (genders) at any point with their clever signal scheme is very very nice, I can't count how many times I changed. Combat is smooth with nice hit impacts, every hit feels like it stuck in your opponent, the parrying system is very easy but balanced unlike other ac games were you were literally a god amongst men. I like that fights aren't leveled locked, for example I managed to raid places way above my level on my 40th attempt and a lot of swearing. When it comes to graphics no surprise there it's top notch. Music bangs and cinematography is decent. Lots of weapons and armors to choose and find. The store weirdly enough does not contain the coolest stuff in the game (except valkyrie armor i had to buy that it was beautiful). Also most of the store items or weapons at least you can get without money from vendors (luck based). Stealth gameplay is nice, the guards are the right amount of aware, they don't have the all seeing eye of aurus and they don't have object permanence issues. I also really like the quality of life decisions they made with the auto guided boat and horse that actually work well unlike witcher 3 were the horse would end up in narnia if you trusted it. Overall a very good game that I can safely recommend… Expand

The most impressive narrative in this game is when you connect that Odin is Eivor, and Asgard is memories from Great Catastrophe. The game has so many things to do, and the skill tree and abilities are SO GOOD. I love this game, really underrated. The fighting system was really nice, withThe game is just so very very good. Took me 70 HOURS to complete the main story and kill the order. The most impressive narrative in this game is when you connect that Odin is Eivor, and Asgard is memories from Great Catastrophe. The game has so many things to do, and the skill tree and abilities are SO GOOD. I love this game, really underrated. The fighting system was really nice, with parrys and heavy attacks combined with abilities. My main problem is that the map is so huge, so you need to ride a lot with your horse.     A very large game and a great script makes me play for 50 hours and more and more.

    Very fun game! Can't wait for Paris DLC and after that next Assassin's Creed game that is exactly like Valhalla! I also hope it will be at least 300 hours long and have 2 big DLC's. Long live AC!

    My first AC in years since the first one. I gotta say I'm impressed. The storyline that aboards begin pretty interesting, also sometimes the game feels like another game when visiting unique places, taking apart of the viking to a next level. I'll would give the game a nine if wasn't because the combat it's not very well polish but I do enjoy it yet so... Ubisoft finally is raising again.

    Not regretting trying it, here's the lesson, never take negative reviews seriously on metacritic until you have tried certain game for yourself. You might miss out on many outstanding games that are hated for dumb reasons.

    Haven't finished it yet, but i can say i have had so much more fun with this, than i did with Odyssey and Origins combined. Valhalla finally feels like actual AC game. Specially after they added Assassin outfits. There used to be some bugs, but most of them are fixed by now. Good game.

    I've really enjoyed it. Gameplay, story, characters...all the things that I didnt like in AC Odyssey (which made me not liking the game that much), they did them great here. The only 'BUT' i could say here is that the game is too long, but that's it, I enjoyed everything else.

    As it will be last Assassin's Creed, because next one will be live service, i think Valhalla deserves little bit more respect. Overall it's very beautiful open world, not all missions hit the mark, but i could say that for any game.

    Of course, there is a large game world, hundreds of game time and a diverse plot and missions of the game, which makes the game not forgettable cool and exciting.

    This series of games is as much amazing and exciting as life that I recommend to many for immersion in the reality of this game

    Haven't finished it yet, but i can say i have had so much more fun with this, than i did with Odyssey and Origins combined. Valhalla finally feels like actual AC game. Specially after they added Assassin outfits. There used to be some bugs, but most of them are fixed by now. Great game 100 more time piayers!

    It's a hell of a cool story when I watched the video, and when I started going through the game myself, I saw even better than everything stunningly gorgeous in the game and an amazingly big story like the big Valhalla game itself. This is one of the best Viking editions and an amazing story! I am very glad that I have officially purchased this edition!

    Was really surprised with this AC, visuals and combat are better and the rpg elements suts this game better than the last AC. im having fun :) One of my new favorites in Assassin's Creed series !

    Really colorful game for 100 or more hours that I'm still going through today AND getting new updates as well as free updates. This part of the game is amazing in its staged scene, I just decided to come today and write this praise!

    My compliments to this game and such a great storyline. I just got a game update and a new free add-on, it's going to be fun! I have not even taken Paris in one dlc yet, but I will definitely try it.

    Better graphics than Elden Ring, that's for sure. Overall this game surprised me, it's not best AC game, but it has more to offer than Odyssey or Origins. Story is not most interesting thing in this game, but open world and exploration makes this game solid. I still wish they would go back to Black Flag/Unity era tho.

    I like the scenario. A good world, the gamepaly is repetitive, but you know that if you buy a Ubisoft game. So far I had a lot of fun with Valhalla...

    Penguinz is almost like anime villain, because you know when he gives low score to games he don't like or understand (he has never liked AC games) then his minions will give 0's to that game without even trying it. He also looks like anime villain, so it actually makes perfect sense. Valhalla is good by the way, so much better than Odyssey.

    Seems like most haters went quiet after it was revealed that this game was massive success lol. Some losers still remain (who very likely never played it), but nobody cares about them. Great game, more of this Ubisoft!

    I'm so happy that this game turned out to be as awesome as it is. One of the best games of 2020 without a question. Reading these hate comments makes it very clear that none of these losers who gave it 0/10 or 1/10 have never played it. Can't wait for Far Cry 6, because Ubisoft is back!

    Great game, Ubisoft forever! Most underrated video game company in history of video game companies. They make games that are from decent to good, they often have rough launces, but they ALWAYS fix the problems in few months. And what happens?     First of i am a fan of this franchise, but of course a few entries diapointed me over the years. Valhalla manages it to get me totally back on track with AC. because:
    1: combat is great, takes the good things of AC odyssey and AC origins and expended on that

    Не нравится в первую очередь это тупость ИИ, противники и союзники очень тупые, действуют не так слажено и не так как должны в реальности, это основное что не нравится. Ну и конечно баги.     It's really good game, if you actually wanna enjoy it, not rush it, so you could play next big game faster. Assassin's Creed games are meant to be played for months NOT few days. I bet penguinz gives it 4.5, because not enough action and too much sailing.

    This game is incredible! Even just small details how insanely beautiful water looks when sun sets in England or Ice caves in Norway. There's so much to do and explore. But this game is very clearly not for people who just wanna finish quick game and move on to next one. I think everyone should know that at this point.

    Better than odyssey and origins. Congrats to ubi team for gameplay, story and the world. The map is smaller than odyysey's but it's fullfill not empty like odyssey. valhalla has good story about vikings in England and has story about templer.

    Combat (to me) feels okay, i have read some youtube comments that "combat is so bad", i strongly disagree. I bet they watched some youtube who told that he didn't like combat and now some people just spread false information. It's not perfect, but far from bad. Would recommend.

Like one youtuber said that choosing between male and female character is not enough? Kidding me? You should be happy you can choose your character. My favorite games were GTA 4, Max Payne 3, Alan Wake, Skyrim, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Red Dead Redemption, stuff like that. But when Assassin's Creed 4 came out late 2013, that was first time i actually got interested. They innovated so much within 2011-2012 i always knew that something called "Assassin's Creed" existed, but it never really interested me, i simply didn't care about it. My favorite games were GTA 4, Max Payne 3, Alan Wake, Skyrim, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Red Dead Redemption, stuff like that. But when Assassin's Creed 4 came out late 2013, that was first time i actually got interested. They innovated so much with that game, it's crazy. More i played it, more i liked it, i started looking up historical facts about that era, etc. First time ever I really liked Assassin's Creed game and from then on i have been huge fan. Yeah Unity had awful launch, but they pretty much fixed it in first 2 months and i almost hate that people bring it up all the time, because so many games have had absolutely awful launch, but they never get so much whining, maybe it was because AC is so popular idk. Either way Unity has best parkour of the series and graphics that still impress me today. Odyssey was kind of mistake imo, because story was meh and it grindy. Now Valhalla fixed it all and bring back stuff i loved from Black Flag and parkour elements from Unity. Overall Valhalla is very good AC game and better than last two.… Expand

    Verything is like promised, you can raid, you can go in stealth, you can wear hood, you have hidden blade, story is solid, big and open world i'm enjoying it.
    I will support and play this game for years to come with all my heart.

    Good AC CV game with much improvements since odyssey. Ubisoft has done it again.
    Huge missions and a different approach to each make the game exciting for many days and months)

    Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a great-looking open-world game with impressive landscapes and cinematography. However, the checklist collectible open-world still needs some work to feel truly engaging, and combat is too tedious and too frequent to be compelling. As a lapsed fan of Assassin's Creed trying to see if I can click with the series once again, Valhalla didn't quite hook me as I was hoping it would.

    Assassins Creed Valhalla is a lot of fun and easy to sink dozens of hours into. It is the best entry in the more recent trilogy and genuinely elevates the gameplay mechanics. Content could be considered somewhat bloated still, but it is diverse enough and the setting and story is solid most of the way through.

    Sneaking is fun, fighting is fun, walking through the great outdoors is so much fun. Sightseeing too! Valhalla is free minded and could be innovative, but lacks skills to persuade its players about that. [Issue#308]
