The controls are ok on PC and you can remap the keys which is a blessing.
Story is ok but I still have a lot to do.
Gameplay is very good.. so why only 5 score?

This is a so called "AAA, full price game", a single player game with micro transactions in it (!!!). And this is straight ZERO points from me. The only reason I gave it 5 is because I got it at a lower price and I actually like it.

Dear publishers, just get the **** off with your ****ing MTX's. Leave the single player PC games alone.
If you really want this **** in your games, stick it in consoles, those dummies will pay for anything.

+ very polished. good performance, very few bugs. the technical level of the game is close to perfect.
+ outstanding user interface. the game has a lot of content and arranging it so well is not easy.

It's amazing what the Ubisoft team can do if you give them enough time. They no doubt created one of the best open world sandboxes.

The one complaint I share with many players is that while the game is technically great, it doesn't have much to do with "Assassin's Creed". The name could almost be dropped at this point. They really need to continue the main story. It's been 10 years and it should come to a conclusion at some point.

I have to deduct another point, because Ubisoft changed the story of the game to appeal to homosexuals. Nothing wrong with that, but it shouldn't have any impact on the story and Ubisoft should have the spine to stand up to social justice warriors and stick to their original story. Stop trying to appeal to everyone and just do your thing, for **** sake. Giving in to such idiots makes you look weak.

tl;dr: The only weak point in this game is the story.

There is a store to this game that I guess you can spend real money on but in no way did I ever feel temped to do so and the game does not push you towards the store at all. I think it mentions it to you one time only and thats it, you never hear about it again unless you want to.

-Decent Story with an interesting main character (I played with Kassandra)

-Finally an AC title with dialogue choices with an impact on the game

-Good combat, well paced with quite a few challenges when you play on the highest difficulty

-Lovely world, I especially liked the islands

-Enough funny moments (a real must for me to enjoy a game), but also some very good dramatic scenes

-Good looking equipment in the endgame (in the early game you end up looking like you actually mix everything together you looted from corpses)

-Very few trips out of the Animus, which were very immersion breaking in previous titles and not at all great for the gaming experience

    Cons:

-The world is too large/has too few interesting things to discover

-Voice acting was not always fit for a AAA title

    -Too few character interactions imo

-Micro-transactions simply do not belong into singleplayer games. (Also XP boosters are probably a reason why you have to do quite some side activities to keep up with the main stories level recommendations)

All in all I really enjoyed this game and appreciate the direction Ubisoft has taken with this title. The fact that the story and dialogues were all set in stone in previous games took some of the joy out of the experience for me.

It's just a fun, gorgeous, if slightly underwhelming on the quest side romp through ancient Greece. Definitely don't miss this game.

It appears you may need to lose attachment to previous AC games however, looking at the low ratings. This game does not deserve low ratings and all of them are coming from people looking to disgrace the company by giving low ratings rather than rating the game for what it is. Shameful practice.

I'm eager to know what Ubisoft got for us for it's next AC game.
I gave it a score of 9 because in every mission I have to be in a specific level forcing me to do side quests that are pretty repetitive.
What stunned me are the location and the beautiful graphics overall, and to me I thought Origins had insane graphics but Odyssey is even better.
To me, it's not an intirely an assassin's Creed game but it's a change of fresh air, and I loved it.
Hopefully the next AC will be more towards the Assassin's Creed genre, until then, Ubisoft did an amazing work, hands down.
Just didn't give a score of 10 because of the forced side quests but a 9 is well deserved.

For how big a budget this had, this is just such a poor product.

The stealth is glitchy and inconsistent. The difficulty is baffling (4 hits before death on easy difficulty against enemies that can land instant strikes). Tutorial is excessive in some places and grossly inadequate in others.

It has the naval battles of Black Flag. It has the lieutenant captures and adding to your team like Shadow of Mordor. It has the RPG-like system of Origins with decision trees thrown in for good measure. It all actually works pretty well, especially the decision tree system. It starts at the very beginning when you choose which character to play, either the brother or the sister and there are big changes to the story for each one. I noticed a few small errors in some of the tree decisions like I made a major choice at one point in the story and the game in-inexplicably put me on the other path but it really didn't matter to me and I don't hold it against a game as massive as this as there are bound to be a few bugs. Nothing was game breaking.
The story is the big sell point. This is probably the best I've seen in the Assassin's Creed franchise. I felt many previous stories (of the few AC games I've played) were paint-by-the-numbers with little emotion or surprises. Odyssey changes all of that. This installment gets a lot more fantastical too with the option of fighting "pre-cursor abominations" in the guise of legendary Greek creatures of myth. That alone adds a whole new dimension to the series and I hope they keep it up in future installments,
One new feature that really sets this game apart from others in the franchise is the battle system. It's impressive to take part in an actual large scale battle and watch the two armies slowly widdle each other down. Sometimes there are only a handful of soldiers left standing once the fight is over. It's definitely more challenging when you assist the army on the attack at the defending army will have one rival mercenary for you to fight. I hope in the future that the game adds fortress raids, artillery or more challenges to keep it interesting.
The game is beautiful like most in the series, but I notice after the insane amount of detail in Red Dead Redemption 2 that this felt slightly... "plain"... in comparison. RDR2 is such a huge leap forward that I have a feeling most games will feel this way for a couple more years. Thing like the horse riding is stiff and awkward. Fire effects and weather effects, though good, instantly look dated thanks to RDR.
Speaking of RDR, one of my biggest issues with that game, I have with AC:O... fast travel. The eagle perch synchronization system is back, of course, but instead of unlocking fast travel to the nearest town.. or towns in that territory... the game fast travels you to this odd perch high up in the middle of nowhere sometimes. This just makes no sense. Some territories have no fast travel option. Including some islands that you will need to sail to if you need to visit again. In games as massive as AC and RDR, that require 100s of hours of playtime, a poor fast travel system is just a giant waste of time and just unforgivable in this day and age of gaming. At least travel by horse in Odyssey is a lot quicker than in Redemption.
My other major major quip is that the leveling is way too fast in this game. I think Ubisoft responded to complaints about the last game and over compensated even though I have a feeling that a lot of those people never even played that game. For example, the player levels up with nearly every major main quest completed.. of which there are many. However, if you take a side quest or two... and depending on where that mission is located (like in a major fortress with a leader to assassinate or regional treasure to steal) then you can easily level up again from just a single mission. Add on special assassin targets, legendary creatures, battles and more and you will find that you are always above level for the main story quests. Enemies and regions below your level will always maxed at only 2 levels below you which is fine. The problem is the gear you will find will be, at best, 2 levels below you. After leveling another time or 2 that already low level gear will become even worse very quickly. You will be switching to mismatched newly acquired gear often, making Legendary Weapons and Gear sets obsolete very quickly. The material needed to upgrade this equipment is just insane and practically pointless. So enjoy that new Legendary set of gear for a couple hours because afterwards you may never use it again. It's a shame because the gear this time around is a lot more unique and interesting compared to Origins, but it just becomes obsolete way too fast.
Overall the game looks great and is a blast to play with a surprisingly touching story and some fun new mechanics thrown in.

Assasin's Creed Odyssey is a very beautiful and large-scale game. It shows many interesting historical places and tells about the life of an ordinary Greek, but also tells an interesting story about a mercenary from the kind of Spartan kings. Do not let these whiny babies with 40 IQ and their 0 ratings distract you from playing one of the best Games of 2018 and best Assassin's Creed game in series. It is an excellent open-world RPG, not as good as Witcher 3 of course, but i doubt any game ever will be. Nevertheless it is very much worth playing. You can easily get up to 80 hours of fun out of it.

Shallow and boring combat mechanics with no feel in it. Movement and climbing are... how to put it mildly, as if they take place on a land of butter. Our hero/heroine can move, jump with no real effort without moving any muscle. Thinking of the years old AC3 had better mechanics than this game is just unbelievable. if you think old AC games have the same grinding missions going on forever, well try this one for an ultimate bore-fest. just adding tons of empty quests and meaningless exploration areas doesn't make it a good open world game, amd going one step forward and calling this game an AAA title is not fair while there are games like Witcher, GOW,GTA and RDR.

Believe me there are lots of things to say (bad) about this game ... but shortly it is a generic open world game. And if you have played Sleeping Dogs, Shadow of Mordor, Batman Arkham Series and even the Mad Max this game will taste cheesy and you will not find the will to play this game to the end, knowing u have already played better games than this years ago.

The only good thing about this game is our heroine Kasandra, but combat and movement is so cheap and generic she alone couldn't save the game from getting refunded.

PS. I have fully completed all the previous Assassin's Creed titles to this day except the copycat of this game (Origins). As Odyssey and Origins are basically the same games with different skins on them, so no need to buy and play both of them. And yet playing none of them is a better choice.

Huge, beautiful, open world to explore, with a ridonkulous amount of things to do. Few games can claim to have taken 100+ hours of my life through multiple playthroughs, but this is one of them.

A choice of playstyles: all-in brute warrior, archer with devastating ranged attacks, sneaky ninja taking out entire forts without raising a single alarm, or a mix of the three.

Combat is fluid and stylish, with finishing off an opponent or straight-off assassinations shown as cinematic instances of just how bad-ass you are, and I'm still not tired of it.

The game is beautiful to look at. Something as mundane as riding a horse through a forest or overlooking a newly discovered city or port is a joy, as is the climbing and rooftop-hopping movement AC is known for. Don't feel like finding a path to ride up that mountain? Just climb it instead.

Sailing between islands can also be serenely relaxing as you watch your ship glide through calm waters, or as your beloved boat negotiates choppy swirls as you hum along to your crew's catchy song floating out across the tides. That is, when you aren't ramming enemy ships, sending fire arrows into the enemy crew's ranks and watching them being welcomed to the depths of Poseidon's endless ocean: a welcome addition in my view.

The main plot is engaging, and you come to really care for the characters you come across, not the least of which are the main characters themselves, who are intelligent and charismatic.

The game can become grindy and repetitive depending on how you play it. Keep heading towards a main quest and you won't get too bogged down with a seemingly endless stream of random bounties and side quests. You'll find yourself being bogged down otherwise because of the sheer volume of things the game throws at you. As with anything in life or RPG, having an end goal in mind is important.

I never once bothered with micro transactions and never felt that I needed to. There are multiple ways to get the resources needed to upgrade that spear, or cash-in for that ship upgrade and, for me, that's part of the fun. Remember that thing about goals? Upgrades are easier to come by the further you get in the game too as the rewards from everything you do get better. The sense of accomplishment is what makes RPGs, RPGs.

I've docked a point off an otherwise perfect score for a few very minor issues, like clunky character climbing and movement at times, and a few AI issues, like your stupid ass horse running away from your character when you've called it to mount up, and lengthy in-city pathfinding.

The game has unashamedly borrowed aspects from other games, but it never feels like a rip-off. It's story, characters, locations and combat mechanics give it it's own feel and identity, very much set apart from anything else I've played. All-in-all, if you love "300", if you love Greek mythology and if you love RPGs, you can't go wrong with AC Odyssey.

These games do not need to make there game worse but adding this balance breaking nonsense into single player games, increase the ticket price by £10 if you really need and give a full balanced experience.

People who complain about the XP don't know to enjoy a good game tbh. You don't just finish the main quests in 10h, you enjoy the full awesome world with a lot of smart and fun side quests that this game offers. For me leveling too fast was a problem; had to grind for resources to upgrade my gear. There are lots of XP quests that take 5 minutes or less to complete and you get 1/4 of the needed xp to level up.

They are not on the level of mass effect andromeda but sometimes they are just off. They should have went with one protagonist instead of 2 and actually care about good animations. The main story is separated so you can ignore the abstergo story if you want. I think the story overall is acceptable. Story quests are most of the time really good, but sidequests ... man. There are about 5 out of 100 sidequests that are actually fun doing. The rest of them are fetch and kill quests. They tried to sell us this big battles between Athens and Sparta, which are completely boring after the first time. You start the fight, you kill a few enemys, congratulations you get loot. Which brings me the biggest problem: The combat
Holy fk, has anybody ever tested the combat?
Here is what to do at higher level: Go in your inventory and just dismantle all your melee weapons. Compared to the bow they do ZERO damage. After i realized that, the only thing i did was serving headshots to anybody. Even the last boss is dead in three shots which is just pathetic.
    Next thing: Bounty Hunters
Even if you kill bad people there is a bounty on your head. Bounty hunters have 1000% more health (at least it feels like it) and they always show up when you are in battle, wherever you are. Fighting against them is a chore and i think they shouldn exist. The whole rpg damage just sucks in general. Imaging a master assassin or master .. spartan sneaking up on you while you are asleep, stabbing you in the back but instead of dying you stand up and kick his ass. Thats exactly whats happening if your assassin damage is too low. Just sad,
All I can say at the end is, i hope the next one will be better ... but arent we saying that thing now for the tenth time?

    - GRIND and pay to win. Nonsense. Ruin all the game, which is potentially 7-8/10.
    - Enemy Scaling/level up. You just can't have ENOUGH level. Some guys 1-2 lvl lower can easily beat you, while you have butthurt even to kill enemy 1 lvl higher.
    - Boring missions. Bad design, like in AC black Flag. Just copy-paste quests.
    - Lack of random events, just loosing so much opportunities.
    - Few characters
    - Mixing Witcher-, Mass effect-, For Honor-, action/rpg-mechanics with AC gameplay completely failed.
    - Naval battles are soooo bad

They need to rethink some of the approaches to game making. Specifically, in the case of this game and other games like this one, I would like to make a couple of points. This game does not quite work for the following reasons: First, there's a bit too much grind, and you cannot escape the ugly feeling of doing too much of the same. Some grind in a game is quite ok, but too much can ruin the game. Second, this is poor implementation of RPG+Open World combination. The game forces you to follow the linear path of the story in an Open World game?!!? How so? Well, if you go astray from the main story line and try to explore the game world away from the main story you cannot, because literally every creature you encounter is too powerful for you. You just end up running away from everyone and everything, in stead of exploring or doing quests. A minute ago, in the main story, I defeated powerful warriors and generals, and the next minute I run from ordinary wolves, boars, and peasants, only because I am in the area I'm not supposed to be in yet, and everyone is couple of levels or more above me. The game doesn't even show you the level of creatures with too high a level. There's only a red skull indicator telling you not to even bother fighting. That's ridiculous, and it defeats the whole Open World concept. RPG could work in the Open World concept, but a few tweaks are necessary. Ordinary creatures and characters everywhere should be less powerful than the game protagonist from the beginning. Only major bosses through the story line should be allowed to be significantly more powerful, and I have to level up or find better gear to be able to defeat them. There could be other tough characters, but I should be able to defeat them right from the beginning, albeit with more difficulty. Next, I don't care how tough an opponent is, three direct hits with a sword or spear should end the fight. If you want to create grind and make certain fights last longer, make blocking or dodging more frequent than hits, depending on the level of opponent of course. I feel silly banging on an opponent for 3 or 4 minutes, with every swipe a direct hit, and my enemy refuses to die because he's level 25, and I am level 22. Next, if you want to make certain areas more difficult than other you can populate it with more enemies, who are more vigilant, and with a few characters who are more powerful than average, but I should still be able to defeat them. Third, make quests more versatile, with variety of interesting tasks. This requires imagination and diligence. Game developers must not be complacent and just keep pumping out the same stuff all the time. They have to get better all the time. Fourth, and this is closely related to the previous point, if you're making a true RPG game that includes dialogues with choices, then you have to make dialogue interesting, engaging, and meaningful. This is a very difficult thing to do, and few RPGs ever have actually succeeded in this. Dialogues are usually tedious, or even dumb, and a waste of time. But games should progress towards true AI. I can't wait for the day when we'll see games writing themselves as you play them, depending on the way you play them, where no one knows what comes next, and how they might end. We're a long way from that, I know, but it could be better than this. Dialogues and choices seem to be of no consequence at all, except for a few key choices, and the level of freedom is actually the same as in the games from 10 or 15 years ago. Expand

The only plus of this game is that it has a huge map with beautiful places. This is why my score is 3 because Ubisoft managed to build a nice world.

Where is the music in the game, you can only hear it when you climb a synchronization point and that's it. I can not play this game for more then an hour, its very boring for me. Even when you are in a fight on the ground or on the water the game does not seems interesting. Where is the slowmotion when killing someone? Tt gave so much more dynamic to the game.

I can not play stealth in this game, when I have to kill a target that is two levels above me I have to exit the cover and fight him face to face, I cannot kill him by just going behind. Isn't this the whole point of the game? this is why it's called 'Assassin's Creed'. No hidden blade, no double kill. Really, really disappointing.

I cannot forget how nice were Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Black Flag were the story kept you in suspense.

The animations of the characters are very bad made as well, I remember that in Assassin's Creed 3 ,the character was jumping the obstacles sliding beneath them and leaning when he had to rise a slope, here all the animation that I mentioned are not present and the character feels and behaves like a robot.

There are so many other minuses to add but I think this is enough no make an impression about the games.

Not worth buying at all, better buy Assassin's Creed 2 or Assassin's Creed Black Flag, this game did not worth my money.

Best Assassin's Creed yet by far. Best RPG i've played since W3. I for one love all the side missions and massive quantity of things to do. It never felt like I was leveling too slow or like there was some ulterior motive to push me into purchasing an XP boost. In fact the levels came so fast there were times I felt like it was going too fast when I was getting behind on keeping my gear upgraded.

    Got the game for free.
On the latest patch (1.0.6) doesnt support SLI & SLI support isnt planned. Game runs at 3 FPS in SLI (GTX 1070 SLI). When in single GPU mode game suffers from CPU bottleneck (i7-7820X 4.8Ghz all-cores) → GPU Usage drops bellow 80%.

Sadly, those happy days are gone. Obviously, greed now calls the shots at Ubisoft, so the entire gameplay premise of being an assassin that is able to instantly kill victims from close up with hidden dagger is gone, replaced by senseless quasi-RPG grind. You never do enough assassin damage, so you only scratch your victims, leading to messsy fights and escapes instead of professional hits.

Everything except graphics and the level of detail feels mediocre - ship combat, melee combat, the senseless grind where you need 150 tree trunks to improve a single sword a little bit.

This is the last Ubisoft game I have bought, I am boycotting the company now, until it mends its ways. The lootboxes are now being investigated by government regulators worldwide as unlawful gambling, I hope those greedy corporation and the people responsible gonna get burned. They certainly deserve it.

After AC 3 the reproduced the same AC over and over again and it was a pain in the butt.
Even i (big fan) stoped after Unity. Then AC Orgins came. First time the put a little rpg elements in it and make the world more open. I liked the first AC´s for its action narrating. Every second new bossfights, areas to explore, epic narrating, abstergo (real world) but after 100000 games like that i got boring like a new CoD or Battlefield.
So whats god about Odyssy? Everything. Grapic is gorgous. Story is good taled, sidequest are sometimes little bit boring but the story is fitting (Not like in other games - Fallout76 iam looking at you).
A lot people claim "Its just a new Orgins"... Yeah it is but with new World, Story, Weapons, History, Combat System. The brought even the boatfights from Rouge back.
So what? I like it and thanks god i is not an "old" AC with strict storyline and storytelling. For my opinion it could even be even more like the Witcher
Now the main reason for the **** Microtransaktions and the Grinding
I play the game on highest difficulity (nigthmare-albtraum in the german version) and i have absolutly no problem. First it was a bit hard to learn the combat system (its not the best one but it works) but once you checked it out even a boss a few levels abouth you isnt a problem anymore (except he is in a group). The grinding is no grinding for me its just pure gameplay. i didnt even felt it as grinding.. i was just taking over castels like always in AC. Most of the time i play the game for days after i finshed the main plot just to play fights fights and fights. Also this time the combat is hard enough to pump up my heart frequency.
Last but not least the microtransaction:
I didnt even recognized there is an ingame shop until i saw it in the critics. Iam not a fan of ingame shops but in this case it doesnt bother me bcs iam not forced to use it.

So if you enjoyed AC Orgins buy this.
If you want to have a AC2 back dont buy it
    Its that simple ;)

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I usually dont review games but when i saw so much negativity i got the feeling this game doesn't deserve it. I will share with you my experience with this game from my point of view:
    pros:
-combat system (you can block, dodge and plan yor attacks when the time is right and it is far better then Assassin Creed Origins; if you apply block 1 millisecond before or after the npc attack you, you will be punished; if you are attacked by several NPC, they will try to flank you and strike not all in the same time so they can trick you to block first attack but you cannot avoid the other npc attack - i really enjoy combat mechanic) Combat with bosses is not annoying like in Origins where you have to kill some bosses only from distance. IMO is the best combat system by far in any Assassin Creed game and is better then The Witcher 3. I played on nightmare from start and i enjoy it.
-environment, the world is huge and very beautiful. Everywhere you go, you see temple and statues. I already achived max level by exploring 2-3 provinces and doing only side quests and rampage forts/camps in stealth or direct assault with apropriate builds (stealth builds or combat builds (melee or ranged) - you have plenty movies on youtube which explaines this builds in details) or recruting gold npc for the ship. It become very interesting when you enter in a fort on the main gate, npc's signal the braziers, reinforcements come, you have bounty on your head (and bouty hunters will search you there in a short time) and you keep killing npc's soldiers, archers, captains, fort commanders, bounty hunter (who tryes to burn/poison you) and kill all of them in melee fights (not
with the bow, only running unpredictive, killing npc in rooms of the forts to avoid arrows). You get the feeling you are a bad ass and nothing will stand in your way. I think the developers tried to capture this emotion. Avoid using bows becose it is too easy.
    -naval combat
-you dont have to spent any money on microtransactions - it help you little with your time, i have gold stuff only by doing the main story or exploring the map.
-you can recruit "a henchman" (you can tame an animal as a follower: wolf, linx, lion, bear)
-soundtrack of the game, it tries to capture the feeling of beeing in Ancient Greece
    cons:
-story, but is not a big deal becose cannot be masterpiece, a masterpiece cannot be a story for a game - you do a movie for this or you just publish it.
-quest are too repetitive and become boring after a while, but i doubt there is a solution for this. What you can do except go to a location kill/talk npc's? Read a little story or listen an npc? People will not enjoy this.

Lets be onest: you cannot create Assassin Creed II in 2018. You have to come with some new things which will change the game so much and it become something new. I tryed to play Assassin Creed II couple of months ago and after 40 min it become boring. English is not my native language and i am sorry for my language mistakes.

I have put in 100 hours and the negative reviews for this game are lying about a few things and I would like to set this straight.

    2. It's a re-skin of Origins. I played about 60 hours of Origins and Odyssey is very different than Origins. This is just absurd hyperbole.

    3. Micro-transactions. Yes they are in the game, yes they should not be in the game and it makes me angry as well. That being said I never once felt the need to buy them to enjoy the game. The game is a 100% completed game and is fully enjoyable without purchasing anything extra. You more than enough get your moneys worth.

    4. Poor PC optimization. I run this on a PC and the game runs butter smooth on everything maxed out. People are angry because they can't run it in 4K butter smooth, but guess what, no modern open world game can run at 4K with everything maxed out at a perfectly stable 60 FPS. There is absolutely nothing wrong with optimization.

    5. The story and or writing aren't good. This is rather subjective but I think that anyone would enjoy the main story. It's a good story, better than Origins and on par with the other AC games if not better.

Anyway, after you finish RDR 2 you should totally play this game. It's really good and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Don't miss out on something great because a bunch of haters that don't know what they are talking about. How many of these haters put in 100 hours into this game? Don't trust them, trust me. Hilarious to read users complaining about PC optimization. Decent computer made in last 5 yrs plays this perfectly. Commit, whiners! If you want to game on PC, optimize YOURSELF!
And who really cares if it's not as AC as some AC-lovers want AC to be. Game is gorgeous, enthralling, hilarious, so long to justify its price. If you are crippled without AC lore, there's some lousy AC-erotic

Optimization on PC is total crap. I have a GTX 1060 6GB and an I5 8600K 3.60ghz 16GB DDR4 and i cant get consistent 60 FPS on medium setting.
The side quests and honestly the entire story are boring as hell
Comabt System is a big improvement over AC Origins but still feels weird.
Overall the game feels rushed and unfinished and its a shame unfinished product costs 60 dollars

Odyssey is a bit less interesting then Origins. The map size is quite big, bigger then Origins in fact. The story is surely an interesting part, but it's the side quest with a ! that are fun to do. They mix humor, philosophy, ethics and politics into the mix. All the bounties, contracts are very dull. I did them at first but stopped halfway. I also stopped all the taking sides of an army,Odyssey is a bit less interesting then Origins. The map size is quite big, bigger then Origins in fact. I did them at first but stopped halfway. I also stopped all the taking sides of an army, because it has no real impact on the story. The fighting is the same, got better with the arc. The naval fight are still fun. The water effects, the quality of the textures on high is great. The draw distance isn't always well adjusted and some lighting's takes too much time to render. The sounds are fine especially when the sea is near or involved. The animation can be robotic at times but in general it's not too distracting. The music wasn't as strong then Origin. I did love the boat singing, especially with a female crew. I recommend you play this game on EASY. You need to be one or two levels over your enemies to enjoy this. Even then, it will take around 65 to 80 hours to finish the main quest with most of the side ! quests. There is another ending after the first one. There was less modern content and that was a deception in the end. I give the game a 77%. A big RPG with too much useless stuff but there is some things related to the birth of democracy, philosophy, medicine in the Greek-Spartan worlds. Expand

The latest addition to the Assassin's Creed franchise is truly a wonder and a fresh take on a stale idea. The excellent execution, gameplay and story is only overshadowed by greedy micro transactions, paid XP and awful optimization.

An excellent and beautiful game from ancient Greece. Maybe it’s very different from the first game, however this evolution benefits the brand. [Issue#290]

While AC: Origins was packed with interesting stories, Odyssey is a generic ’Ubisoft sandbox’ in the worst sense, with hundreds of the same-looking places, dozens of ”kill-fetch” quests and almost zero motivation to grind further.
