    Bad game. Stay away. Has nothing to do with FromSoft. Bad story full of tropes. Bad gameplay full off useless novelty.

    10/10 the best mech game ever created, i love this game it has everything a mech game should have and more. the bossfights are great, the costumization is really good and its all around just a good expirience.

    After playing the campaign I was extremely relieved as I am with most FromSoftware titles. The game is absolutely phenomenal. If you want a great experience play this game. Make sure you keep playing the story because there are 3 different endings. I honestly think this is in the top five best titles they’ve produced. Keep up the good work From Software

    Disappointed that FromSoftware has butchered AC with their Copy-paste Souls-like influence.

    A promise from the director that this "wont be another souslike game" is rather a betrayal to my expectations. What I was going to expect an immersive game play, scenery, and story turned into a massive hair puller of a "RESTART TO CHECKPOINT" of boss battles. Not only this immense    Disappointed that FromSoftware has butchered AC with their Copy-paste Souls-like influence.

    What I was going to expect an immersive game play, scenery, and story turned into a massive hair puller of a "RESTART TO CHECKPOINT" of boss battles. Not only this immense ridiculousness of the fights are frustrating, it pulls me out of my immersion too. I can't quite enjoy the story nor the atmosphere when the game gives you a massive middle finger and then shoves it up your rectum.

    Don't even get me started with the FromSoftware Community. They HATE and i mean HATE criticisms from their games. With nothing more than pure belittlement of "GIT GUD" or "You're wrong" and "You just suck". Rather than having fun and playing the game how you like, the game forces you to go META.

    If you are a long time AC fan just be cautious as this will just be another title for the SoulsBournSekiro-like fanatics. You will NOT RELAX with this title. Just emulate the older titles.    … Expand

    Amazing game. I finished 3 playthroughs, and I think the story is pretty interesting. Nothing is told straight to your face, it's all pieces of information you gather from various places and people then form a story yourself, which resembles Elden Ring. The mech and the animation have so much details that I was constantly in wows.

    I also don't think the game is as easy as some people mentioned, and definitely not like dark souls. The bosses are challenging, and require observation, adaptation and patience to do well. It's all comes down to how to adjust your mech to counter the boss. Before anyone says that I use the one meta build to beat the game, I have never used the meta build that everyone was talking about. In fact, I didn't even know it before I finished all 3 playthroughs. I played a diverse playstyle and constantly adjusted my mech to suit specific missions.

    TLDR: Amazing game, FromSoft never disappoint, and this is NOT a dark souls game    … Expand

    I have been a long time Fromsoftware fan. This is my first Armored Core experience, and honestly this is the most fun I had in the last 10 years with a game. The missions are cool, the combat is actually fantastic and feels great. It is not the longest game but that is because they delivered a more polished, fleshed out and more fun experience

    10/10 just like old AC games but great There's an online pvp 1v1 and 3v3, a good boss fight, lot of combinations to build

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The game is very simple. You will never have to look into what the mission wants you to do because it's just blowing other mechs up. The builds you make are one of the main aspects of the Armored Core franchise. The feeling of making your own AC and rolling with it is unbeatable.

    If you want gameplay first with scraps of story here and there, then this is the game for you. Even if you finish the game, there will always be new stuff in NG+.    … Expand

    Coming from Fromsoftware's previous titles soulslike titles Elden Ring, & Sekiro. This is has grown onto me so much that it has become my favorite fromsoftware game, difficulty is great especially for the bosses maybe a lil more health for enemies. But besides that, the artstyle, graphics, gameplay, story & music we're exceptional.

    First of all, very fluid and exciting combat which is to be expected from From Software. Customization works well and you can make almost all of the weapons work for most engagements. It's fun to mix things up and try something different to see what feels better.

    Boss fights were fun, but difficulty definitely varies greatly which is the only thing I'd hold against it.     This is a FromSoft game through and through. Really cool game, intriguing boss fights.

    Cons:
    - Short
    - Graphically poor

    The story of AC6 is not very interesting at the start, the way the story is being narrated is also way too different from usual. But the story gets way more interesting in the later chapters and in NG+ and NG++. The gameplay is top notch as well, everything is smooth and I love the various weapon options.     Its all in the expectations man. I expected an Armored Core game. I got a Dark Souls game with a xbox 360 era mech skin on it. Even if I am to set that aside, the game play still isn't great. You CANNOT play the game in anyway you want. The game has bosses that pretty much can only be beaten by very specific builds, and if your not playing on that, well that's to bad.     A really good game that you won't find in the market that would compare to its kind. This game is a Fromsoftware game and if you ever know their reputation is that their games are challenging. So understand what you are getting yourself into. This game really goes back to the 7th- 8th-generation console era when games like this used to thrive and I love it. So if you have been playing the same old open-world cinematic games over and over again and you want something that brings fresh air, then play this game.
    This game plays really well, smooth, optimized, and fun. Bosses are challenging and you are expected to change your builds to optimize against certain bosses. Some bosses even require you to do specific builds to counter them. The missions can go from 1 minute to 20 minutes which is a weird choice in today's world. Later on in the game, the game missions go for much longer and you will need to resupply. There are secrets or areas in the game you need to look for if you want to get new parts for free. The game is extremely replayable even though the game is an average 10-15 hour game. There are small variants of branches you can choose throughout the game and get a different ending. So you are expected to replay the game.
    Is this a 10/10 game? No and the only reason why it is that the game suffers from its UI and mechanics. It throws a lot of terminology at you before you can figure out what they are and the contextual menu doesn't help. The best way is to try and experiment with your armored core until you find a build you enjoy.    … Expand

    I am very sorry, Metacritic is probably the worst place to put this review, I have a full review of this game that I can't post because Metacritic does not work or even attempt to deal with the sheer size and detail of my review so I'm going to be plain.

    This is a 7/10, you can see it immediately when playing the game, I like the gameplay I like the customization but the design of AC6 weighs it down, It's a dated game that may satisfy people who may ignore certain elements here and there.

    This game is not up to the standards I expect, and that's fine, From Software should innovate a bit more and make their game not only feel good to play but make it look good to play in all aspects.

    This game contains all pure meat. Character movement is very stable, in my opinion this is FromSoftware's best in terms of character movement. this game is not as difficult as other FromSoftware games and not too punishing because there is a checkpoint system and you can change your strategy there. Maybe this game is too short for 60 bucks, although NG+ brings a new challenge

    Only thing that brings the game to a 9 for me is the story is kind of boring but doesn’t really matter much when the rest of the game is this good. Would give a 9.5 if I could.

    From software hits the mark again and delivers an action game in which adrenaline, action but above all gameplay are the heart of the game.     Pros:
    -Amazing action with mechs
    -Great bosses
    -Perfect controls
    -Deep and big mech customization
    - excellent characterization of the characters.

    Con:
    -some balancing issues tend to make the game a little too easy if you know what you're doing
    -Some problems in the cameras and locking of multiple targets.

    Few chances were taken in the by-the-numbers design, but its damned good to see Armored Core back in business. Too bad that the first new AC out of FROM in many years has to be so overwhelmingly mediocre. Sluggish storyline more like a radio play, the characters don't even have a picture or portrait. Awkward controls in battle (again many keyboard/mouse buttons cannot be assigned as in Elden Ring and their previous games), uneven difficulty curve. Overcomplicated,Very mediocre at best.     Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is able to charm with artistic solutions, beautiful mechs, gloomy atmosphere of corporate wars. But there are too many of annoying factors in the game.

    Overall, Armored Core 6 is excellent for newcomers and longtime fans alike. It serves as a great introduction to the series, and you don’t need to be familiar with past entries to have a great time. On the flip side, the gameplay and mechanics are familiar enough that you’ll feel instantly at home here if you played AC5 or Verdict Day. Given the positive response to AC6, I hope we see more of the series sooner rather than later. It deserves to be one of FromSoftware’s cornerstones as much as the studio’s Souls games do.
