  • Summary: Race through the waves of Utopia, make death defying stunts and get that much needed boost to pass your friends on the final stretch. Inspired by the classics we took a modern take on the genre with interactive waves, split screen and online racing.

    It doesn't reach the quality level of the old Wave Race games, but it's still a good restarting point for the genre.

    With a decent number of modes and a solid core gameplay system, Aqua Moto Racing Utopia has the opportunity to surprise a lot of people. While it has some rough edges like its trick system not being easy to utilize and some issues at the start of races with overall chaos, I found myself having a lot of fun with the game more often than not and I’ll probably be heading back into the game to continue beating my best times and shaving that last second off wherever I can.

I like that with the weather system the tracks can be played both in rain and sunshine. Controls are easy and intuitive and the difficulty is well balanced. Good parts are the water physics, graphics, and the gameplay. Some polish could be used on the controls and optimization. When you start the game you get to customize your own racer. Face, body type, clothing, and gender are some of the things that can be customized. The menu is easy to use and serves its purpose. When the tutorial is finished you can choose between playing a quick race, championship, free ride, and local or online multiplayer. I found the championship races to be the absolute best experience. Controls can be a bit clunky at first but once you get the hang of it the first few championships become easy. Winning a championships unlocks more difficult competitions. In the end this is a very good game. This is a game in a category that is currently lacking good choices. If you are looking for a good jet ski game this is exactly what you want.… Expand
