    In comparison to Fortnite, this game is less accessible to newbies: no solo queue, matchmaking can takes minutes, the UI is cluttered, etc.

    I wish this game would have a solo queue... :(

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. -Gave it 4 stars at the beginning but now it's pointless. every 3 or 4 match i got 50% packet loss and can't even go back to lobby because it won't let me. It is a miracle if i get a server with a ping lower than 100ms, then it is playable but....
    .... whenever there are 3 squads remaining, there is always one squad that gets third partied and you won't manage 2 v 4
    -There is also a significant amount of cheaters and r99 spammers where you can't really survive a full mag of r99 which has no recoil. Nobody enjoys playing against streamers masturbating the game 10 hrs a day with 5 viewers.

    Edit: 02.05.2021 went back to the game after a month and it is even worse, can't get into a match without getting a 45% packet loss and 200 ms lag. You can't even go back to lobby you have to kill the process in task manager and start the game anew. How am I to rate the game if I can't even play it?    … Expand

    December 2021 update: Numerous improvements have been made. I have not come across any players that I suspected were cheating since I've revisited the game within the past two months. Great game now, although I would like to be able to play all the maps available not just a selected 2 or 3.

    I had to give Apex Legends a try. It is, after all, free to play. I've been having a lot of fun with it. It is a challenging multiplayer game. Gun fights are exhilarating, and the mechanics and feel of the game is quite responsive. Player hit boxes are appropriately sized. I've not experienced any latency issues. The graphics look great. The game runs smoothly on my GTX 1060 at highest settings. The map (only 1 thus far), is superb, there are some very cool environments (zones) all packed into a single map.

    I only have a few criticisms.
    -A number of the characters seem like they were ripped from Borderlands (Siren, Maniac (Octane)) and Overwatch. Three of the 'legends' require a lot of time playing to unlock or can be purchased with real money. though they are not needed to enjoy the game as it is quite balanced.
    -There are a number of cheaters playing. While it took a while until I identified a cheater with aim bots, I did find 2 within only an hour of playing during one evening. One was my random team-mate and then another that i suspected and spectated to see that indeed the player was using an aim bot. Apex Legends is a successful free to play multiplayer game, and thus, cheats are to be expected. I just hope it doesn't get any worse and the developers stay on top of it.

    Apex is easily the best battle royale game available today with satisfying gunplay, a cast of interesting characters and solid map design.

    Edit: Updated my score to an 8 as the servers are garbage and constant 2 man squads makes solo queue unplayable.

    Хороший бесплатный баттрояль во вселенной титанфол, только без титанов и паркура, точнее паркур есть но урезанный. Чем отличается от других баттроялей, так это то что игра по динамике как титанфал, но если бы это былл овервотч. ТТК в игре очень низкий, из за брони и т.д Минус еще в том что нет соло режима или дуо.     As a new player, don't even bother trying this game unless you are masochist :D All you will experience is just instant deaths over and over again. And that's about it. Use your time anywhere else with anything else :-D Ofcourse, unless you have no family and life what so ever and you can throw away hundreds and hundreds of play hours.     I won't lie. The game has high quality gameplay that is not found in others. But everything other than the gameplay sucks. The game is very political and forces certain ideologies down your throat. Not a very good idea for an international audience. The microtransactions are some of the worst I have seen. Lately the new content has been baffling. It was a good game, now it is on its way to dying

    Did not hook me up. The mechanics is fine, in-game communication excellent, but gameplay/idea got boring after few hours.

    Too much server/high ping problems, playing with randoms is impossible you must have your own team in VC, most of the guns are from Titanfall 2 not very innovative and at some point game turns into fast looking but in reality dull and boring gameplay.

    On the one hand the basic gameplay loop is great, the gameplay and movement is one of the best I've ever seen in a game of this scope, the characters add a lot of fun to it aswell.
    On the other hand it's a basic Game as a Service, with Battle Passes, endless seasons, skins, newly introduced characters, and all that shabang, which I find    Apex Legends is complicated to rate for me.

    I had some fun times with it, but expect to grind and get beaten up a lot, this game is a time-investment and whether you like it or not can only be said after a certain playtime.
    I have played it for about 220 hours since it launched, make of it what you want, but I've come to the conclusion that this is not a game for me. At this point I only play it for a few rounds after a major update, but quit after a short time, because of how boring and frustrating it is to me sometimes.    … Expand

    By far my favorite shooter, I think the BR aspects are fun too. I really like how this game has characters with abilities I like that a lot more than the loadout system like Titanfall or COD. The guns all feel really good, the movement is great without being too crazy like Titanfalls. The maps are all really good as well and the game is updated pretty often.

    Apex Legends is an utter **** show in terms of stability, reliability and performance, and not representative of a billion dollar company that is making money hand over fist with insanely high priced cosmetics and predatory FOMO tactics to make you spend more. This game has terrible matchmaking, broken sound, is littered with game breaking bugs, and plagued with cheaters that EA / Respawn have demonstrated they cannot stop and have no real control over.

    I've spent more money and time on this game than I care to admit, defended it on all socials for years, but after 2 years I cannot defend this game anymore. They do not deserve your money, and it is only a matter of time before a better game with stable servers, cleaner code, and better anti cheat comes out and utterly displaces Apex Legends.    … Expand

    Good gameplay but sounds suck. You can hear only yourself and your teammate on 300% when the enemies are on like 50%. You can't even hear the enemy team reviving themselves while they're 10 meters away. This game is a joke.

    개인적으로는 타이탄폴3를 늦추고있는 밉상이지만 한편으로는 정말 재미있게 즐기고 있는 작품. 게임의 퀄리티만 좋다면 레드오션이든 후발주자든 뭐든 시장을 씹어먹을 수 있다는걸 증명한 작품.

    I used to think Battle Royales were so stale after the glory days of Fortnite were over, but then I found Apex. Titanfall 2 is my favorite shooter game of all time, and Apex is the culmination of Titanfall and a superb battle royale game.

    the battleroyale mode isn't fun enough, you spend a lot of time finding random gear that may or maynot help you in fights, so there is a big down time where you re just going from one point to another trying to find better gear.

    Everybody plays like a **** in ranked because the ranked system rewards being timid and scared (in a shooter). It's extremely boring sitting in a chair watching your character sit in a corner for hours.

    Also make balance to the game cause there some changes that really too far for it. Add some new servers and fix the lag server

I can see Apex turning into League of Legends, but at least League has interesting legends with good abilities. Respawn pls ur giving TOO much, calm down.    … Expand

    While the game has racist caricatures and the abilities overlap, the game is quite fun. The latest update added another character who's abilities overlap existing characters. I wish they would get more creative. I like the game a lot, but the design decisions seem phoned-in. Also, WTF is up with the servers!?

    I personally don`t like battle royales, but this game managed to renovate on many aspects of the genere. It nailed squad communication due to the pinging system, which also helps solo players communicate with their squads.

    Well Bahrein servers are empty :) all the time. I couldn't find a battle royal match to play. overall servers are not even close to acceptable!

    One of the best battle royales out, the proof is that it keeps a healthy player base 4 years after launch which is probably the only battle royal out there except Fortnite that managed to do this

    There are of course things to improve but for a free game this is one of the best ones out there are the moment

For example, threats like the storm never truly feels like a worry as the game makes it far too easy to avoid removing it as a big challenge. it is also easily predictable to know when you will win or lose as once a squad mate or two is down, you know that you are playing against a group of far more experienced players. The game also has no solo mode meaning you will need to play with friends or with some people online. Overall, Apex Legends is however a decent BR and FPS game. Its a fun way to kill some time however Its no game of the year and its needs much work.… Expand

    Simply the best Battle Royale experience i've had. And one of the best fps games I've played so far. And I started back in the 90's with Quake III and Unreal Tournament (not to mention, Doom, CS, Tribes, etc, etc... I've played many fps).
    Fast paced and incredibly well designed. Easy to grab, extremely difficult to master. Tons of fun and adrenaline. I feel like all those negative reviews    Simply the best Battle Royale experience i've had. And one of the best fps games I've played so far. I feel like all those negative reviews come from bad players who can't even reach Top 5... And reaching Top 1 in a game is very challenging. This is the kind of game which requires constant training just to be average. Or maybe they just need to stick with games with freaking mobile graphics, cause you actually need a decent PC with a good GPU and good connection to play it. It's definitely not for everyone. Besides, complaining about lootboxes is irrelevant, since this game is completely free and, honestly, I don't care about cosmetics. Each frag you get is instantly rewarding, in Apex.
    I just wish there was a solo ranked mode, and less hackers on PC, even though EA is actually doing a great job to remove them (over 1 million accounts banned already, more than 3000000 only in China). But I'm here to judge the game, not the community. And this game is a pure gem. Way better than PUBG and Fornite, definitely.    … Expand

    Battle pass is getting worse every year.
    When you already have 500 lvl and you still don't have normal skins for old characters, it's worth considering whether you need to play something that doesn't reward you for many years of loyalty

    Emparejamiento malísimo, aunque juegues en duos o tríos siempre estás solo, no rellena.
    Hay más lag aquí que en los juegos de móvil, pésimos servidores, hay muchos bugs.
    Lo único que es defendible es su modo de juego

    The thing is... The thing is, I love this game... for lore. And I hate it for technical issues. It's really incredible how complex, interesting and entertaining characters in the game are, how much lore is there to uncover. I absolutely love this game for gunplay, how guns works, what you can do with them, HOW you do with them, how everybody have their own preferences in weapons etc. BUTThe thing is... The thing is, I love this game... for lore. And I hate it for technical issues. It's really incredible how complex, interesting and entertaining characters in the game are, how much lore is there to uncover. I absolutely love this game for gunplay, how guns works, what you can do with them, HOW you do with them, how everybody have their own preferences in weapons etc. BUT GOD, THOSE TECHNICAL ISSUES. 1. "SBMM" game is supposed to be fair and you should be put againts people with similar skill level as you... but, that doesnt work. Average player in Apex has probably 1kdr, I have 2kdr and It's just SO SAD when game puts you against 8kdr Predator with 20k kills. It just doesn't seem fair. The best thing is when you go to social media and you try to talk about this problem, You get spit on for being bad at game and just everybody tells you to stop whining and get better. 2.     Sadly that is it. The server management is horrible. 60 ping in 1 game then 200 ping for the    Best Battle Royale game. The only one that feels different. Has the best innovations like the creative ping system, the first BR with the respawn concept, ziplines, vaults, etc. Lastly, it is currently the only BR with multiple maps.

    Sadly that is it. The server management is horrible. 60 ping in 1 game then 200 ping for the next. Its gameplay (especially in Ass Canyon and Openlympus) is either:

    1. Find nobody until 10 squads left then after you find and fight 1, the 3rd 4th 5th 69th party comes for your necks
    2. You drop hot and die early game (if you survive the hot drop it would be the same as 1, that is the peak experience for the game)

    I am so tired of the game right now that I moved to a game that prioritizes winning over getting high kills (Valorant). The game is too casual right now (its just for the kills) unlike Valorant which is probably the FPS game with the highest competitive integrity right now. I am new to the game right now and there is no agent that you can play properly without some mastery unlike in Apex a lot of legends (Octane (especially with Revenant), Bloodhound, Seer, Caustic, and Gibraltar just to name a few) are too noob friendly and also the guns (L-Star, Rampage, Charge Rifle, Devotion (especially with Turbocharger) and R301 just to name a few also). Also, there are some annoying braindead legend combinations like the infamous RevTane (its nerfed now but still braindead)

    I also don't like the ranked system. There should be no "freebie rank" in any competitive game but in Apex the real ranked experience starts at Platinum. The consequence at losing in Bronze, Silver, and Gold is just not punishing. You can troll 5 straight games hotdrop and die first then on your 6th game you win the game and every "punishment" you had gets erased. On mid elo and high elo a lot of players just hide for RP until they can get an actual good game - making the system "grind over skill". A player who rats a lot and has horrendous aim and gamesense could get to Plat while a player who has decent aim and decent gamesense could be hardstuck gold because they take fights a lot and get 3rd partied a lot in the process. The ranked system doesn't promote playing smartly. You either rat, grief others while giving up your positioning, or be the one griefed.

    Lastly, the lack of content. Dry af. At this pace, the game is gonna die.

    This game was my favorite FPS at one point but it just stinks right now. I no longer grind it. There is just no reason to. I just play it casually and occasionally. Oh about Arenas. I forgot about it just like the majority of the playerbase.

    TL;DR = Probably has the worst servers in any multiplayer game right now. Ranked system is ass. Meta is braindead. Olympus and Kings Canyon are bad maps. Worlds Edge is good for ranked but also ass for pubs. Storm Point is boring af. Best BR? Yes. By far. Best FPS? No. By far    … Expand

    Probably the best battle royale game at the moment,
    fun, fast paced, pretty competitive game.
    Been playing for a year now and I can't see a problem with bugs or servers.. Works just fine.

    Quite good game I'd say but it gets boring over time. I was playing it on and off for past year and I don't feel like coming back to it ever again. After 800 hours I can say that you should try it but keep in mind that it might just get boring after couple hours because it's so repetitive

    The game is still very incomplete. Season 8 has arrived. You cannot enter the game by selecting the map. Badge system is very bad, nothing is understood. The introduction to the game (character selection) animation now makes my stomach blur. (It keeps repeating the same things). I can talk about bad things more. But it's still a very good game

    To me Apex Legends is one of the more fun BR games. The thing is the game makes it really hard for me to play. My first account got banned for cheating I despise cheaters and therefor can tell you. I did not cheat. Shame cause i bought a battle pass on that account. And now since the Apex genesis update I am unable to connect to the game on my second account. I am pretty handy in this sortTo me Apex Legends is one of the more fun BR games.     Oh joy... Another battle royale shooter, how thoroughly dull. This time the idea is you choose heroes? That's pretty cool. It's a shame that it does very little to actually change how enjoyable the game is. Battle royale shooters are dull to play and dull to win. You'd be better off playing something else.

    As for the gaming experience, this has too be my favorite FPS game, everything feels so smooth and nice and gun play is enjoyable. Movement is very exploitable, lots of hard strafing and crouch spamming as well as tap strafing. Unfortunately most of the casual crowd is starting to abandon this game for newer FPS games and those who remain are extremely good at the game and makes for a really poor experience when you're a newer player being put in the same lobby as the top 2% of players.

    Best battle royal out there the character choices are really fun and are always being balanced keeping the meta varied over the years, you can easily play for hours and not get bored. Seasons can be come stangnent about half way through due to un-interesting events every so often. Seems well optimsed since everyone I know can run the game.

    Apex Legends Is simply one of the best Battle Royale games ever made. What makes this game so great is ping system for easy communications, and Titanfall-esque gameplay with charismatic characters.
