    Updating my review again, raised the score from a 3 to a 7. They have mostly dealt with the cheating issue. I only see one cheater once every 5 days. Overall the game is much more balanced now but there are still many frustrating issues with the game. The servers are very inconsistent from night to night. One night my squad will have constant lag/stutter/hitreg issues and other nights itUpdating my review again, raised the score from a 3 to a 7. They have mostly dealt with the cheating issue. I only see one cheater once every 5 days. Overall the game is much more balanced now but there are still many frustrating issues with the game. The servers are very inconsistent from night to night. One night my squad will have constant lag/stutter/hitreg issues and other nights it will be tolerable. No other recent games I've played (Overwatch, Siege) have this issue. Footsteps sounds will still occasionally cut out making you wonder how the hell a whole squad suddenly appeared next to you. The hitbox for pathfinder and wattson are still bad, better than before but still bad. This game could be a 9.5/10 if the servers were better. It will be sad to see this game die once COD Modern Warfare comes out.… Expand

    Its an entry level BR FPS with colorful characters and fast-paced gameplay. I like it. Servers are way better now. New modes can be interesting.

    So many cheaters, though, Wow. And the community is crap. If you're not playing with a group you're gonna have a bad time 90% of the matches. It can be good, i guess.     Probably one of the few games over the past few years, which is well done. Despite some technical problems, the game is great, comfortable and this is the best Battle Royal that was.

    A fantasticly fun game, that makes playing with strangers not only not frustraiting and hatefull, but even fun. Great Mechanics and flow to the gameplay. In short everything thats good about the Battle Royal Genre, but nearly all the negatives fixed or removed.

    Already kinda don't have a reason to play it after 5 hours. I play with friends only

    It's very polished, but I believe it'll suffer the same fate as realm royale and blackout. There just isn't as much replay value as fortnite or pubg

The game itself is 100% free, you can easily grind enough points to 'buy' the two other locked heroes in-game, aside from that, everything is purely cosmetic.     To all of the user's on metacritic giving this game a 0 because of crashes or skill, grow up. I've been able to help multiple users on the Apex Legends discord with the same issues that you're having easily. Google is your friend.    … Expand

    Apex Legends is a new approach to battle royale shooters, and one that delivers nicely with their named heroes, phenomenal pinging system, simplified inventory management, gunplay, balancing and map design. Unfortunately, the game has disappointing amount of content, unimpressive visuals and even more frustrating matchmaking and stability, which might take away the fun for some.

    I think that this is truly a unique game and I would recommend that if you are a fan of this type of genre then I think you should give this game a try.

    Com'on people! this game deserves more then 6.5! This is battle royal done right. For a free to play title this game is polished and very few bugs! its faster pace compare to PUBG, and the different character's abilities actually make a difference. if you like battle royal mode but cant stand Fortnite like me, this is the game for you!

    Here are some points I personally really like:
    Many guns are hitscan, or at least they feel like it. I haven't tested it fuily but it's nice to have some actual you-hit-what-you-clicked action going on, specially fun to play with the Wingman, a 6-Round Revolver that does pretty high damage.
    Also: There seems to be no falloff damage, at least with many weapons. This combined with the high precision makes for a really skillbased shooter.

    There's also no jumping fall damage. you can jump down a cliff it wouldn't hurt you.

    Now the abilities: Many of those remind me of similar abilities from Overwatch. There's a character that has a grappling hook, there's one that sets up a healing station, there's one that can fade away and is also able to create a teleporter that can be used to hop between two spots by your whole team. Then there's a guy who can place a shield bubble.

    It's nice to have some meta in this game instead of everyone can do nothing. At first at least. I know Realm Royale tried to do just that but failed. It might have had other reasons though.

    I hope this game gets some continued support so it can outgrow the abomination that is fortnite.

    Last thing about the p2w-Elements:
    After playing this game today for roughly 5 hours I'm around 2/5 on my way to unlocking one of the two unlockable heroes only with the ingame currency. I think you get around 600 coins per game and a bit more for actually winning and one of those heroes costs 12000 coins.    … Expand

    However, technical perfection does not make a great game, at least in my book. I appreciate the tension and stress level that PUBG provides, despite “technically” being a game infested with bugs. I like how the shooting feels; I enjoy the excitement I get when I kill an enemy. Apex Legends, on the other hand, takes a much more casual approach to gameplay and that is simply not what I am looking for in a battle royale.

    Apex Legends has very good graphics and a cool setting. It offers some neat features (majority of which maybe taken from Overwatch) and interesting ideas to improve the cooperation between team members. There is not much to complain about and I understand why it is praised by game critics. On the other hand, I am a gamer and I judge video games based on my personal experience with them. Apex Legends is not my cup of tea, but there is no reason why you shouldn’t give it a go and decide for yourself…    … Expand

Простой интерфейс, удобная физика, отсутствие ШУМНОГО И ЕБУЧЕГО транспорта, быстрые матчи и куча приятных аспектов делают игру лидером в жанре на сегодня. Быстро падаешь, быстро лутаешь и быстро убиваешь врагов. Донат-Как и с любым батл роялем- первое впечатление может быть обманчиво, но по другому никак. Увидел это шедевр на твиче и подумал, что должен это попробовать и не ошибся.     the overall gameplay isnt good. it went from bad to worse since release,
    weapons mostly dont do damage when hitting or getting hit by fire. the movement isnt really made any good also. its wierd and when u move to a postion it doesnt always execute the command so placement can be a problem.
    the content isnt great either. the battlepas is boring and lifeless, not worth the price and    the overall gameplay isnt good. it went from bad to worse since release,

    The game can be very hard to play solo or with two people, but it's pretty certain these modes will come in the near future.
    The technical quality of the game is also exemplary. The graphics look very nice, the sound design is ver good as well. There are some Netcode and Server Issues, but those are rather minor if you own a stable connection.
    All in all Apex Legends is a solid shooter with some minor issues, which are to be expected with a newly realeased game.    … Expand

    It is rare that a game will surprise me in this day and age; however, Apex did just that. With the highly underrated Titanfall and Titanfall 2, I almost immediately fell in love with Apex's gunplay and fluid movement.

    Pros • Solid gameplay • Unique Characters • Introduction of the PING system for non-talking teammate cooperation • Traversal is fun and fluid • Demanding gun combat    It is rare that a game will surprise me in this day and age; however, Apex did just that. With the highly underrated Titanfall and Titanfall 2, I almost immediately fell in love with Apex's gunplay and fluid movement.

    Expect the servers to be down for the first 24hrs after every update. Also, I've noticed performance issues leading up to map changes in upcoming seasons. This only makes me imagine how amazing can be a battle royal with Frosbite in Battlefield. Gungame feelings are perfect, as they were in the Titanfall saga.

    BUT this game is not for those who are seeking something more realistic, calmed and pure real war strategy. This is pure action with magic, instant regeneration, weird magical movements like Overwatch, avoiding any realistic battle strategy possibility where dead is not even definitive anymore.

    After the first good vibes, this game goes far in the exploration of this new game style... but still not enough groundbreaking to offer something really interesting and too unrealistic for me. I will have to wait for a real successor of the buggy PUBG...    … Expand

В этой игре даже оружие на перезарядке после свапа перезаряжается с того же места, на котором оно и было.
    Минусы:
    -Выпуск игры под спонсорством EA у которых мега плохие сервера. Из-за чего недавно у моих друзей во время краша серверов перестало заходить на основные аккаунты, пришлось им создавать твинки, хотя у меня все нормально, но это от провайдеров зависит. Так же вылеты были.
    -Оптимизация
    -Ты не можешь реснуть своих тиммейтов на flyship'e. Кто играл тот поймет.

    After playing the battle royale referents in his day, H1Z1, PUBG and Fortnite, I can say that for me it is the best Battle Royale that I have been able to play, the graphics, the gunplay, the legends and everything related to the game is Sublime . I hope they continue to improve as I think we are facing a titan, and if things are done well we have game for a while.

However I have one small problem, which is why I'm giving it a 9/10 instead of a 10/10. You are being forced into a team. There is no solo, or duo.     I think it is fair to say that this is probably the best battle royal experience available at the time of writing. A great deal of this game is well thought out and executed properly. However, this game is lacking something which I cant put my finger on. It features a whimsically prepared tutorial where you can only pick 1 legend.     At first, game seems fine. But... Sometimes it just crashes(when you jump/kill enemy/heal yourself)! Error is: Memory 0x00000000 cant be read(or written) This is all because game does not have high priority. Only way to fix it is to add priority in Windows Registry, and then you won't be able to launch the game! So annoying.

    Game runs well outside of it's teething problems around launch. Looks great, great art. Classes and synergies allow interesting play. Weapons, gunplay, and gameplay are best in class, not up for debate. Lootboxes and MTX, who cares, they're cosmetic and there if you choose to support Respawn, and you should. As long as EA stays hands off, but just supports Respawn with whatever they need (financially/servers/engineers), and Respawn has a steady stream of content (weapons, maps, skins) this is the new bar.     As someone who abhorred Fortnite and barely found any fun in PUBG, I can honestly say that I am not a huge fan of the Battle Royale games/modes. This game is different and I am really enjoying it, despite the fact that I am rubbish at it. i like the different characters, I like the fact I am always in a squad and can be saved    7/10 does not mean bad, in fact this game is rather good.

    As someone who abhorred Fortnite and barely found any fun in PUBG, I can honestly say that I am not a huge fan of the Battle Royale games/modes.

    This game is different and I am really enjoying it, despite the fact that I am rubbish at it. i like the different characters, I like the fact I am always in a squad and can be saved by better players and I like the "hero-skills".

    My main irk is that like most BRs, there is no matchmaking, meaning me, a noob, can get matched with people with hundreds of kills and who have dumped tens, if not hundreds of hours into BRs.

    There is a good battle royale with fresh idea about legends and i like it. I like also combat features like pings. But its almost impossible to enjoy the game when you can disconnect or crash any second without reconnect button in 2k19.

    I'm not someone who likes Battle Royale games overall. I never got PUBG, I hate Fortnite, and any other Battle Royale game just lacks polish. However, this game is something special. Not only is the gameplay rock solid, but with its own free-2-play model with cosmetics, I am alright with it. Although the main reason why it's so good is probably because, allegedly, EA had nothing to do withI'm not someone who likes Battle Royale games overall. The simultaneous launching with the jumpmaster also helps to keep the team more together while landing. And the option to respawn your deceases squad mates also promotes team-play and can lead to some epic victories. The movement physics feels smooth and cool like in Titanfall, unlike the choppy unfinished animations of PUBG for example. The heroes all have a their abilities and are imho quite balanced so far. This is really an addictive game that i have really enjoyed playing so far.    … Expand

    So this game is amazing the ping system is super helpful and the map flows nicely and is well designed. The shooting also feels solid and fair. Even though the map is big it's still easy to move around in with zip-lines. if i had to knock the game for one thing it's that the team based part of the game doesn't feel fully fleshed out

    The gunplay and movement are magnificent. It might dethrone Counter-Strike as hottest tournament for this reason alone. The potential for weird **** is pretty high being an old head.     Fun battle royal with different characters with different abilities. This game reminds me of shadow run.. but the good parts of shadow run! Fun game to play with friends.

    Their are somethings I find annoying. The 3 party instead of 4 for example.

    For graphics, it looks.. decent but I wouldn't praise it for taking it up a notch and the map looks like the beta version of anthem's map, both being set in a jungle.

    The abilities are unique to the battle royale genre as no one except for realm royale has tried it but we all know how that turned out :/ However, I can start drawing many similarities with rainbow 6 siege in terms of abilities.
    Gibraltar has a shield when aiming down on his gun, similar to Blackbeard who can mount a rifle shield on his gun.
    Bloodhound can track other enemy's footsteps much like jackal from rainbow 6, caustic can place gas traps similar to smoke and mirage has clones which marks enemies who shoot it like alibi who can place 3 projections which tags enemies that shoot it. So their abilities aren't that unique but ill let slide.

    One thing I love is the movement, it all feels so smooth from the gun play and being able to traverse the map through ziplines which help the pacing of the game, filling me up with adrenaline and it was a bummer when wall run wasn't present although it takes place within the titanfall universe.

    The fact that there was only one map despite it being out for 2 months is starting to show and having a disappointing battlepass and it seems EA was focusing on skins more than actual content which I would say is a necessary evil for a game that seemed to pop out of no where.

    Something i'm sure no one asked for is political correctness. I'm sure this is just a pet peeve but we did not need to know that Gibraltar is gay and that despite we did not know where bloodhound was from or his species and real name, we apparently know he's non-binary? we've seen this with battlefield V and it is clearly to pander to the left. I am fine with this as long as it does not affect gameplay but the fact that this is even here seems unnecessary.

    Tl:dr: Fun battle royale with amazing gameplay but map feels sparse and bland, seems rushed to latch on the latest trend but is good for a free game and would recommend a try

    The fast-paced battle is probably loved by some players, not me. But that's not the main reason that made me give a negative score. The game experience is crap while new players get matched to 2000 and above kills players and the way they kill you in 2 seconds is just unnatural.

    While you might think that since the gun damages are so low, you might die slower? No, they just shoot you like their crosshair snapped to your body and they land 70%+ of their shots from either short or long ranges; high or low places; whether you are running or idle. I believe the shooting experience is one of the main causes that made this game lost so many players after the first few months.

    Now I only play when my friends invited me to play and I have to control myself not to rage quit after a few matches because of this unbelievably bad game experience that just got worse and worse after time.

    Skilled players might still enjoy it, I'm not and I turned to play some other type of hardcore games like Hunt: Showdown and Escape From Tarkov that looks made for that kind of experience, not this 'cartoonish', unbalanced, extremely reaction speed-based game that's going downwards.    … Expand

EA made so livers in ranked dont get punished. Players use this system and climb ranked. EA down-ranked livers, their teammates, people with bed connections, people who suffer from shutdowns in apex.. etc. Because they cantYou may play this game if you have perfect connection, and dont care about your time.     The game has lots of bugs, glitches, their servers are not stable and can disconnect you regularly with some random error. they can also be laggy, the game crashes often. the matchmaking is poor in both normal and worse case in ranked mode

    As a Battle Royale game, it kind of suffers from what all battle royale games suffer from: There is nothing more frustrating than running around for 20 minutes, collecting loot while nothing really happens, just to get killed immidiately by the first squad you encounter. But that probably just is the nature of all Battle Royale games.

    What I particularly like about the game is the character design; the different abilities of the characters are not huge, powerful game-defining resources (like in Overwatch for example), but rather feel like tools to make the most out of a certain playstyle you have to work for to make it viable. Want to trap an enemy squad in a confined bulding and have a terrain advantage? Play Caustic. Want to get the most out of positioning and high ground? Play Pathfinder. Want to play more aggressively and into-the-enemie's-face, play Revenant. No matter what you play though, the most important thing still is the gunplay, not to solely rely on your abilities and ults.

    Short version: Good engine, good character design, just a good Battle Royale game overall.

    The gunplay, UI and traversal system is really good. Maps are vast and never feel empty.

    Moja ulubiona gra typu battle royale. Dynamika rozgrywki, sympatyczne postacie i ciekawy wybór broni sprawiają, że będę powracał miło do tej gry. Dodatkowo jest też sporo eventów z fajnymi nieraz nagrodami i interesujące aktualizacje, które zawsze wprowadzą coś nowego do rozgrywki. Moim zdaniem jedna z lepszych propozycji do pogrania ze znajomymi.

    Great game, cool mechanics, it's a pity to play in no way - no connection to servers, lobby bugs, crashes. The game is farting, farting, but not played. Cool game mechanics, cool gameplay, but half an hour of lobby connection? Do you want me to buy a Battlepass? **** To wait for the connection to the lobby ???? GAME THREE YEARS, BUT BUGS ARE THE SAME! EA games. A shame.

    This game will chew you up and spit you out, brutal learning curve. Gun play is good, the heroes feel unique and have interesting abilities. Pretty much the best BR on the market right now. The servers are quite underwhelming though, lots of connectivity issues and bad hit detection.

    The game is very fun to play, the guns feel great to use and every character plays differently, they all have their own unique abilities. The heroes look exceptional, the character design is great, weapon design is pretty cool, and the graphics are surprisingly beautiful.     Lastly, the map is very large and there are many areas to explore. A lot of chaos happening in huge teamfights full of andrenaline rushing fast paced action.

    One small problem, the different types of ammunition and the messy looting system can be obnoxious, but once you get used to it, it works fine.

    Favorite battle royale.
    I wish they'd put more effort into quality updates, like fixing audio, fixing mirage decoys not dying over a pebble. I wish the prices weren't that high and there was a marketplace.

    Great features: jumping together as a team so the loner doesn't ruin your time. The mods auto-equipping if they are better than what you have and if you have the spot open on your weapon is just such a great feature. And when you switch weapons, it will auto-switch the mods.

    Bad features: honestly almost none. Maybe the reload time is a bit too long? (but that just encourages you to pursue extended clips and rewards those who do) And yeah, the elephant in the room is that EA owns Respawn, but they seem to have their hands out of this one unlike Anthem, which already appears to be a full-priced game with microtransactions. This game does the MTs just like Fortnite, which is totally ok in my book. You can play the game perfectly well with them and enjoy them if you get them.    … Expand

    I give this game 8 because it is a great game and has some great points for gameplay, game story and plot, and great character for a first-person shooter. The issue with this game is the developers don't put enough time into preventing cheaters into their game that is all.

    But this game is such a mixed bag of unknowns. To start, aiming sucks. When I'm firing at an enemy, I generally like to know what I'm aiming at. The amount of muzzle flair is sickening. I'm shooting at someone one second, and the next they're gone.

    Looting is a confusing mess and took at least 12 hours of gameplay to figure out what the hell was happening. Why is the inventory so small and clustered? There are so many different types of guns yet you usually end up with the pistol shotgun at the start of every game. Not to mention, it is really difficult to carry around your ammo. You can hold at least 3 mags of ammo before you really start running dry. It's not enough because your inventory is cluttered with knockdown shidleds, health packs and energy shields. So it's fair to say that this is absolute BS.

    I put 20 something hours into this game and have yet to unlock a second hero. Why the hell is it so expensive to buy a hero? Not to mention my dailies often include using champions I do not even own, which are only unlockable then and there by purchasing them with actual money. So thanks again EA. Thank you for making a free to play battle royale that favors players who buy into it. You never learn.    … Expand

    Technically speaking, Apex Legends is above average and really fun. My only complaint by now is the visual confusion that having so many objects onscreen can cause. So many times my own bullets makes barely impossible to see the enemy.

    The battle royal aspects is done well, but the characters are too boring to be a hero shooter. Especially if you compare it to battleborn or overwatch.

    Apex Legends Is simply one of the best Battle Royale games ever made. What makes this game so great is ping system for easy communications, and Titanfall-esque gameplay with charismatic characters.
