    Another Battle Royale... Eh ok, I gotta admit that I'm not a fan of this genre and Apex Legends is an exception. To me, these games feel like cheap mobile games and not really something worth investing much time in to. My friends recommended Apex Legends because they though t was "so different than the others". Now I tried it and they have tried it for a couple weeks, we still end up playing old and bellowed Titanfall 2.

    Visually the game looks interesting, but it feels like it wants to be cool like Borderlands, but ends up looking cheap kids game. Maybe it was made for 12-year-olds, who knows?

    Technically it feels very similar to the old Timesplitters which is already ancient game by now. It's like TItanfall 2 didn't teach developers anything about why people love it so much. Weapon control, grappling hook, jump'n slide, wall running etc. made it unique among other fps games. I can't really understand their explanations that wall running wouldn't work in a battle royale game. I think that a Titanfall 2 with large maps, with titans and wall running, might actually make Battle Royale fun even for me.    … Expand

    Probably one of the few games over the past few years, which is well done. Despite some technical problems, the game is great, comfortable and this is the best Battle Royal that was.

    I'm not someone who likes Battle Royale games overall. I never got PUBG, I hate Fortnite, and any other Battle Royale game just lacks polish. However, this game is something special. Not only is the gameplay rock solid, but with its own free-2-play model with cosmetics, I am alright with it. Although the main reason why it's so good is probably because, allegedly, EA had nothing to do withI'm not someone who likes Battle Royale games overall.     Как уже многие сказали игра очень недружелюбна к новичкам. Если в других играх есть режимы с ботами, и матчмейкинг с такими же нубами как вы, то здесь вас сразу закинет к профи которые будут убивать вас прежде чем вы успеете понять что происходит. Игра мне совершенно не понравилась, хотя многие писали что она похожа на ОВ, ничего подобного я вас уверяю. Графика нормальная.     Not a fan of battle royale games, but this was fun to play, can be a bit repetitive after 3 weeks with the same map.

    Pros: Fantastic BR title with fresh elements, great game play, and loads of replayability. Graphics are fantastic. Shooting feels just right. Pacing is on point. The hero mechanics don't feel overwhelming or too underwhelming.... each character brings something to the table and provides scenario based advantages.
    Cons: Netcode could use a little work (though it feels alright). Some bugs    Pros: Fantastic BR title with fresh elements, great game play, and loads of replayability. Graphics are fantastic. Shooting feels just right. Pacing is on point. The hero mechanics don't feel overwhelming or too underwhelming.... each character brings something to the table and provides scenario based advantages.
    Cons: Netcode could use a little work (though it feels alright). Some bugs need to be fixed ASAP (auto windowed mode on every restart...... game crashes, and server instability (occasionally).

    Recommendations: Br games need to add some kind of currency specifically for wins.... so that winning feels even more special (gaining items with wins currency)... also the cosmetics are nice, but mostly just fluff. Hopefully they start working on a new map and FAST. because BR titles need more diversity in the map departments. Something pubg actually succeeded in (eventually).

    Conclusions: Great title, minor inconveniences, loot shop needs work. Overall balanced and great experience (especially with friends)    … Expand

    There is a good battle royale with fresh idea about legends and i like it. I like also combat features like pings. But its almost impossible to enjoy the game when you can disconnect or crash any second without reconnect button in 2k19.

    Not bad semi-cuckold game. Can be interesting if you are playing with friends. Be prepared for the fact that there is only one white male character and he is unplayable. At least there are no pajamas and retarded dances.

    As someone who abhorred Fortnite and barely found any fun in PUBG, I can honestly say that I am not a huge fan of the Battle Royale games/modes. This game is different and I am really enjoying it, despite the fact that I am rubbish at it. i like the different characters, I like the fact I am always in a squad and can be saved    7/10 does not mean bad, in fact this game is rather good.

    My main irk is that like most BRs, there is no matchmaking, meaning me, a noob, can get matched with people with hundreds of kills and who have dumped tens, if not hundreds of hours into BRs.

    Game runs well outside of it's teething problems around launch. Looks great, great art. Classes and synergies allow interesting play. Weapons, gunplay, and gameplay are best in class, not up for debate. Lootboxes and MTX, who cares, they're cosmetic and there if you choose to support Respawn, and you should.     At first, game seems fine. But... Sometimes it just crashes(when you jump/kill enemy/heal yourself)! Error is: Memory 0x00000000 cant be read(or written) This is all because game does not have high priority. Only way to fix it is to add priority in Windows Registry, and then you won't be able to launch the game! So annoying.

    At first i did not like it. It was confusing, but then about 10 games or more it became really fun and now i think its maybe the best game i played in a really long time. It needs friends though at the moment when there is no solo option. Try it its free and more than 10 games to make your own decision.

    I don't like battle royale games but this one has me hooked! The shooting feels satisfying and the legends are fun to play. I played Titanfall 2 and loved their multi-player so I'm glad we get to see it return here. It's a free to play game that is actually polished and fun to play.

Essentially every character can shoot guns the same, so there are no balancing issues, but they all have their unique features to make them stand out and assist the team in different situations.
    The game can be very hard to play solo or with two people, but it's pretty certain these modes will come in the near future.
    The technical quality of the game is also exemplary. The graphics look very nice, the sound design is ver good as well. There are some Netcode and Server Issues, but those are rather minor if you own a stable connection.
    All in all Apex Legends is a solid shooter with some minor issues, which are to be expected with a newly realeased game.    … Expand

    Игра поистине шедевральна, перечислять ее достоинства можно вечность... но твое восхищение разбивается о 5 краш репорт за последние 10 минут! это невозможно! что я только не пробовал: переустанавливал игру, патчил, ждал обновлений - ничего не помогает! играть невозможно! за последние 20 боев я не смог даже умереть ни разу. чаще всего вылеты происходят на первых 5 минутах матча с сообщениемИгра поистине шедевральна, перечислять ее достоинства можно вечность... но твое восхищение разбивается о 5 краш репорт за последние 10 минут! это невозможно! что я только не пробовал: переустанавливал игру, патчил, ждал обновлений - ничего не помогает! играть невозможно! за последние 20 боев я не смог даже умереть ни разу. чаще всего вылеты происходят на первых 5 минутах матча с сообщением "fatal engine error", либо игра просто виснет и больше не запускается ( в задачах отмечается как "не отвечает') даже если разработчики не исправят вылеты, но добавят возможность переподключения к матчу я поставлю оценку выше, а до тех пор оценить эту игру я не успеваю. 0/10

Unless New players have the opportunity to play apart from the experienced ones, a lot of people will eventually become discouraged and move on to other games.

    TL:DR: Ranked Matchmaking is needed so Apex doesn't become an Elite Soldier Slug Fest that turns off newcomers.    … Expand

    Вы остались против последнего отряда и игра вылетает(так частенько бывает). И все реконект не предусмотрен. 50% игр заканчиваются вылетом с ошибкой или без.    Забагованный кусок Г....

    This game is not friendly for players new to FPS Battle Royale and provides no skill level Matchmaking after playing a full day and not able to win a match it just seems repetitive and boring. Not worth time for new players at all.

So the biggest problem with all the BR games to date is that they die so d##n fast its pointless even installing them. PUBG you can only play on SEA servers as they shutdown the OCE servers, this means the lag is so horrendous its unplayable, you can't even open doors or pick up loot properly. Blackout is fun but the game has a high price and you need a fairly beefy PC in order to play it and have a good time which means the player pool is pretty small to the point where currently I can't get a solo game, duo game and have to wait a very very very long time for a quads match. Fortnite is fine but I don't like the building mechanic that is central to the game which is a shame.

    Enter Apex, they've managed to release a finished game, which is unheard of nowadays. Everything just works and works very well. There are plenty of guns, the loot is good, the map is fun and there are lots of elements such as the class system that I have been wanting in a BR for ages. They are really ahead of the curve with this title and the fact that it is free is great. It means the longest I've had to wait to get into a new match is about 30sec, and that is the longest. The game hit the ground running and I have faith that they will be investing the resources into this game with better and better content as they adapt to how players engage with the game.

    All I can say is despite it being free I am more than happy to spend my hard earned cash in the game. And that is something I can't say for any other free to play game to date.    … Expand

    BUT this game is not for those who are seeking something more realistic, calmed and pure real war strategy. This is pure action with magic, instant regeneration, weird magical movements like Overwatch, avoiding any realistic battle strategy possibility where dead is not even definitive anymore.

    After the first good vibes, this game goes far in the exploration of this new game style... but still not enough groundbreaking to offer something really interesting and too unrealistic for me. I will have to wait for a real successor of the buggy PUBG...    … Expand

But overall, the game is just another battle royale - that adds little to the genre - filled to the brim with overpriced, mediocre and laughably superfluous cosmetics. And of course, there's plenty of EA's beloved, junk filled loot boxes. Joy.

    The game is, by and large, quite polished. It looks good and generally runs well. Weapons feel viscerally satisfying, gunplay is snappy, and movement is quick and nimble. The map is, in my opinion, incredibly well designed, featuring distinct locations and choke points to funnel combat through populous lanes of travel. There are ziplines to get around, tons of high points to snipe from, areas to hide in and objects to take cover behind.

    Yet despite all of this, I'm not particularly impressed by the game. Though large publishers rarely allow their developers to release anything even remotely refined and finished these days, there was a time not so long ago when that was simply the norm. Now, when we see something that isn't a hot steaming pile of malfunctioning garbage, we applaud it simply for meeting our ever disappointed expectations. However, Apex is not without it's technical issues. For some, the game runs perfectly fine. But for an unfortunate proportion of players, constant disconnects and crashing aren't just occasional annoyances, but rampant ubiquities that to date haven't been addressed.

    One of the big draws of the game is it's array of abilities, but they don't have as much of an effect on gameplay as people seem inclined to give them credit for. Most of the abilities are double edged swords, serving as just as much of a detriment to your team as they do to the enemy; which disincentivizes players from actually using them. Some of the most potent abilities in the game are the passives, but even their impact is minimal in the grand scheme of gameplay.

    Apex is, far beyond anything else, a first person shooter. The better your aim, the better you'll tend to do. If your aim is poor, then like in any battle royale, you'll be spending a lot of time either hiding, or dying, or both. There are already aimbots readily available, and given that the game is free to play, with nothing more than account locking for offenders, it's naive to think that aimbotters aren't common.

    At the time of writing, trio que is the only que available. Naturally, all of the more enthusiastic, skilled and outgoing players have created their own coordinated groups to stomp all the noobs and teams of randos. You'll know you've come across one of these teams when you get two tapped to the head and become welcomed to the stats of your killer reading 2339 kills, 528 816 dmg.

    Finding a weapon, or decent gear, can be challenging. The game is littered with dozens and dozens of shields, heals, attachments, armor, helmets, ammo and various throwables of various rarities. You will spend a great deal of time sorting through piles of junk and running around opening bins filled with ammo, shields and low tier armor, but not a weapon in sight. (My record is 10 weaponless bins in a row.)

    Game pacing is uneven. You can get some action in the early game drop, but the mid game is often a dull slog of traversing the countryside looking for gear. If you hear gunshots, you best run towards them if you want to stay awake and get some better stats. Often, you'll think you're the team pincering a fight, when in fact you're really just entering into a clusterf*k sandwich. Fifteen minutes of mindless looting is quickly flushed down the drain by a single tumultuous battle before you've even had time to lube up your sphincters. Of course, you can just hide on the outskirts until late game if you want. It'll cost you 20-25 minutes of your life that could've been spent playing an arena shooter, but if you enjoy playing the video game equivalent of hide and go seek, then battle royale is for you.

    Look, Apex is a solid game. And I have had a good deal of fun playing it. But all this hype about it being the second coming of christ is unwarranted. It's a decent battle royale, but it's primarily more of the same. The better your aim, the more you'll enjoy Apex, as is generally the case for any shooter. But unlike an arena shooter, there's always going to be hours and hours spent gathering up the same old gear, over and over, to get shot in the back so you can do it again, and again, and again. If you enjoy looting, only for your efforts to get reset, then you'll unequivocally love Apex. It's like getting to clean your room repeatedly until the end of time; what's not to love?

    Apex Legends has great gunplay (based on Titalfall 2), a good map and diverse characters. That makes it easily the best battle arena game to date.

I just had too many games where i was either shot immediately after landing, or when i walked around without encountering somebody, and then getting shot by a sniper. I dont usually suck -that much- in shooters ... There are enough other games which have a nice flow (battlefield, quakeVery nicely executed game.     Here are some points I personally really like:

    Also: There seems to be no falloff damage, at least with many weapons. This combined with the high precision makes for a really skillbased shooter.

    There's also no jumping fall damage. you can jump down a cliff it wouldn't hurt you.

    Now the abilities: Many of those remind me of similar abilities from Overwatch. There's a character that has a grappling hook, there's one that sets up a healing station, there's one that can fade away and is also able to create a teleporter that can be used to hop between two spots by your whole team. Then there's a guy who can place a shield bubble.

    It's nice to have some meta in this game instead of everyone can do nothing. At first at least. I know Realm Royale tried to do just that but failed. It might have had other reasons though.

    I hope this game gets some continued support so it can outgrow the abomination that is fortnite.

    Last thing about the p2w-Elements:
    After playing this game today for roughly 5 hours I'm around 2/5 on my way to unlocking one of the two unlockable heroes only with the ingame currency. I think you get around 600 coins per game and a bit more for actually winning and one of those heroes costs 12000 coins.    … Expand

    The unique nature of the Titanfall series has been stripped down, torn out and incinerated in favour of a Fortnite-looking PUBG ripoff with Titanfall's weapons thrown onto the pile for brand recognition.

    The characters -all eight of them- are totally unlikable. Emo chick, gay hologram guy, someone from a nation I can't figure out, and Lucio from Overwatch's sister are the characters you get to pick from in this travesty.

    Better yet on the cover, one of the characters is holding an L-Star from Titanfall 2. This weapon does not appear in Apex Legends, so that's a lie before you even click "go."

    You are forced into teams of three and are left at the mercy of the game at all times, I have fallen through the world several times and been "crushed" while walking around. I'm assuming it was a crush, I just kinda drop dead and it says I committed suicide. A multi-million dollar company has no room for excuses.

    In my very first match, I was dubbed "Champion" of my team, which means I am prioritised by enemies as I give more XP upon kills. This usually only triggers if you were the best-ranked of your squad in your previous match... but this was my first ever match. So that works well.

    The game has a premium currency because of course it does, with the maximum you can pay for "Apex Points" being around £79.99. While these do not allow for Pay-2-Win elements since you can't outright buy equipment, you DO have to buy two characters to use them. So yes, it is in part Pay-2-Win.

    I honestly want this game to crash and burn, it wouldn't be as bad if it released as an extra game-mode on Titanfall 3 - a game I'm not even hoping for if it's in the hands of these "developers."

    Overall...
    Take the "Titan" out of "Titanfall" and you're left with "fall".
    Exactly what this game does.

    Edit; I have recently found out that this game is held together with sticks and twine. Spontaneous crashes far into matches, audio bugging out and not playing at all, massive lag spikes... heh, it really screams "We didn't give a monkeys", doesn't it?    … Expand

    After playing the battle royale referents in his day, H1Z1, PUBG and Fortnite, I can say that for me it is the best Battle Royale that I have been able to play, the graphics, the gunplay, the legends and everything related to the game is Sublime . I hope they continue to improve as I think we are facing a titan, and if things are done well we have game for a while.

    A fantasticly fun game, that makes playing with strangers not only not frustraiting and hatefull, but even fun. Great Mechanics and flow to the gameplay. In short everything thats good about the Battle Royal Genre, but nearly all the negatives fixed or removed.

    What an annoying smorgasbord of spazzed out color and unrealism. Its seems to be art directed by someone who is constantly dropping acid.

    Combat is reminiscent of Tribes. Guns do so little damage you might as well just use your fists. I have no idea who this game is designed for but it sure as **** not me.

    Initially, I wasn't thrilled with the relative lack of mobility as compared to Titanfall, but Respawn gave valid reasons why they didn't include it, and technically this isn't a Titanfall game, just set in the same universe. It took a bit, but I got used to the lack of wall running and double jumping and am okay with it now.

    The gameplay is relatively fast, after getting used to the interface and how the game plays (never played a BR game before) it's pretty well laid out and not overwhelming, with a lot of quality of life features that streamline the experience to allow me to concentrate on the gameplay. The Ping system is also great, even useful when you do have mics.

    This really does feel like a labor of love from Respawn, as EA was not actually involved in the development aside from funding the game. Respawn wanted to make this and the effort they put in shows, I just hope they can continue to provide updates and content enough to keep the game going strong. As I see it, this game will just help to get more people introduced into the Titanfall universe, which will help whatever future Titanfall game Respawn decides to make.    … Expand

    For starters some of the game mechanics are phenomenal. The game has a "ping" system where you are able to point out objects, locations and enemies with ease. This allows to play whole rounds without using a mic. Another great mechanic is the games revive system. If you were to get downed by an enemy, your teammate has the chance to revive you (like every battle royal) but If you were to get killed, your teammate can grab your tag and bring it to a revive station. BAM, you're back in the game. This adds a unique spin and I love it.

    One this that should be said is that right now you can only play as a 3 person team. I've played a good amount of games with a full squad and as solo w/ randoms. So far I've won 2 games with the squad and 1 game with just one random. Regardless, each match was fun, entertaining, and exciting. I know that they will be adding more game match options but even as it it now, its fun!

    I've player majority of the battle royal games out today and this is how I would put them into order (top being better):

    Apex Legends
    PUBG
    Fortnite
    Black Ops: Blackout
    Ark: Survival of the Fittest
    H1Z1
    Realm Royale
    The Culling

    I am excited to see where this game goes!

    It has some good features and some bad features. But what really stands out is the communication. You can ping everything. When you see an enemy in PubG you can tell your allies by saying "yea over there at 345 and then they have to calculate where you are standing and in which direction you have to look at your position.     The characters are unique, and each one can be a play maker in their one way. On a side note and not really important, most of them are pretty ugly.
    The map (the only one available yet) is packed with stuff, not a single spot on it feels empty.

    Could be the best Battle Royale available. FPP only, top quality, beautiful graphics, epic weapons, Source/Quake engine based for smoothest ride possible. Brought to life by legendary producers who created the original Call of Duty series. Can't get any better than this. Can't stop playing. Forgot to mention. It's free. You can pay for cosmetics if u want to. I will, just to be fair. GL HF.

    Apex Legends piqued my interest due to its popularity, but after playing a half-dozen games and not having any fun, I uninstalled. Without a versus AI option or solo option, the developer is clearly stating that they don't care about appealing to new players or to players inexperienced with the genre. I don't think after mediocre sales of Titanfall 2, that launched with Battlefield 1, EA would even allow Respawn to develop a sequel. Most likely, EA gave them a choice, either you make a good BR game, or Respawn is fired. 1 point to Respawn for saving their studio.

    And secondly, people are complaining about the "LGBTQ agenda" and that is somehow forced. First of all, it's an FPS, why would you care how your character looks? Second - there is a white straight character, so stop complaining, it's fair. So, the butthurt from the homophobic community deserves another point, that's why we have a 10 here.    … Expand

    The BR game that i can actually enjoy. Gunplay is amazing, also there is extremely little inventory management, which really takes away from the BR games.

    It has many microtransactionable items in the game but honestly they look incredible and honestly next-gen which animated camouflage patterns and such.     Firstly its eas product, secondly servers were down for really long time, i couldnt even play this game last night. There were problems with downloading this game, origin couldnt even download not broken files really??? And now game cant open. I wish this game could be in development of other studios.

    So what people say?

    1. Game has micro-transactions
    So what? How does a machine-gun painted with pink and butterflies affects your performance? Standard skins have high quality and decent looks. Only things worth buying for anyone who wants something new are new legends, they don't cost too much and it is absolutely fair.

    2. It should have *** like other Titan games
    I haven't played Titan games and I don't see 'titan' in the name of this game. Wth?

    3. It is team only, and you cant win without a team of friends.
    Random teams plays absolutely okay. I had around 60 plays and we got to the top1 16 times which says winning in the game is no problem. Yes, sometimes you get newbies, other times you get experienced players. Want stable results - bring a friend which I did in the end.

    4. Lags, poor optimizations and so on
    I have seen a lot of AAA game starts, like BF series, and every start is a ton of issues that makes the game unplayable for hours if not days. And I was amazed how well this game runs on its start I had no issues whatsoever. My friend has old CPU and 1060 card which is average at best and he had nothing to complain about.

    About the game itself. I'm not a good writer and I'm sure all things were covered by other reviewers but I would like to confirm a few things I liked very much.
    1. The game feels very optimized and runs very smoothly, in terms of input lag, FPS and network. You feel everything in the game under control and that feeling is so crucial for action games.
    2. Gameplay is so intense and it makes it very good. The gameplay itself and everything in the game organized in a way that you don't have to spend your time waiting for something. You have a new match in a few seconds and match starts very fast no need to wait minutes for other players and other loading screens.
    3. In game pinging is very cool and makes game enjoyable and coordinated for a team with no mics.

    The game has only one map at this moment and after playing 30 hours you know it by heart. I hope we will see more content very soon.    … Expand

    The game is very balanced and insn't p2w as some people are saying, only 2 heroes aren't available at the start and both can be purchased very fast with in game currency. And the developers said that EA didn't touch the game at all. Yeah there are some bugs but none of them affects you gameplay at any way! All of them are    The movements are fluid.

    Too many kids play it that don't shut up. And you are forced to play with them on your team. There is no solo mode. So you got another Overwatch game.

    These are the points i really like about this game:
    - Movement smooth af, a little bit slower than titanfall but thats okay
    - the UI is well thought out and clearly arranged, I love the colorcodes for ammo
    - the ping system is so simple yet so powerful, communicating with my team was never a problem
    - the Legends abilitys are not too powerful but still can turn a fight if used in the right way
    - the map is perfect for BR, no widely open areas where you get sniped outa nowhere
    - gunplay is hard in the beginning but even more satisfying after you learn how to pre-aim

    My only bad point at this game are:
    - it takes at least 15 hours or more to get enough credits to buy a new legend, this could be a little bit less time consuming
    - finishers take waaaaay to long, you get killed most the time while doing them
    - some areas are so bright it hurts my eyes at night, I need an gamma slider ffs!
    - currently the servers are crippling under the huge load and this leads to crashes or disconnects (though this point should be temporarily)

    Most of these bad points can be easily fixed but all in all it is a well polished game. Try it out it is F2P and not P2W.    … Expand

    It's nothing like Titanfall. The Titanfall series is one of my favorites.
    Just a battle royal game nothing more, very laggy servers, the gunplay feels off, only one type of game mode, you can't play alone, the network lag is unbearable, only a few types of characters, its a laggy mess, something is wrong with the distant gunplay too, poor optimization.
    No double jump, no wall run, no NPC    It's nothing like Titanfall. The Titanfall series is one of my favorites.

    There is only 3-person parties which i dont like, cuz sometimes they can be really [not smart]. Game graphix is not iptimised at all. I have like 40-50 FPS on low settings with 1050 ti and i5-7500.
    Game crushes like every 3rd game.

    Es un gran juego, después de cada ronda dan ganas de volver a jugar, la forma como se complementa el trabajo en equipo, habilidades y armas es única.

Certain attachments are only useful for certain weapons. Some items are only useful if you have certain other items. Instead of quickly running through and looting I    Clunky and Slow.     Look. It's a free game that's like Blackout but with more mechanics. What else are you asking for? If you don't like it or your potato PC can't run it then don't review bomb this game.

    Probably the best battle royale on the market right now. Ping system is perfect, nice hero balance and diversity, optimal server stability and hit registration, loot boxes for skins with luck protection and % and it already has a road map. It's gratis so give it a shot!

    This is BR done right, mechanics, polish and monetisation seems on point and considering this game came straight out of nowhere as a full release product is a big plus. (Fornite is still in 'beta', lol)
    As other people said though, I would love more of Titanfall's mechanics in this, wall jumps and riding would be a big big plus.

    Apex Legends Is simply one of the best Battle Royale games ever made. What makes this game so great is ping system for easy communications, and Titanfall-esque gameplay with charismatic characters.
