I'm no fan of EA, but BioWare what happen to you? 7 years of development for a boring story, annoying objectives, and only 3 dungeons of which 1 is the final boss? Just disappointing in every way except the flying mechanic. And saying all the DLC and future content will be free, well I hope it's free because it's not DLC it's just the rest of the game.

    After MEA and now Anthem, BioWare is no longer a trusted game dev period.    … Expand

    If you make games just to make money, they will always be bad. If you push them out unfinished to meet your fiscal targets, they will never succeed.

    This game had so much potential, but it was squandered by a studio in crisis. EA and BioWare's brutal work environments contributed to a game that feels unfinished. While beautiful and fun to use the flying mechanics, Anthem lacks a compelling story or characters. The loot is NOT consistent with diminishing returns, and the game cannot be played alone (if you want to have fun). Overall theThis game had so much potential, but it was squandered by a studio in crisis. EA and BioWare's brutal work environments contributed to a game that feels unfinished.     TL;DR The Division 2 will become a benchmark for the looter shooter genre, and Anthem will be a story of caution and dismay. Do yourself a favor and uninstall this garbage game.    … Expand

    its really bad even on ultra settings its doesnt look good
    controls are awful
    weapons suck
    most of the game copy pasted from mass effect andromeda which is also awful
    no soul no story

    So, so lazy. This game actually had potential, but instead they decided to go the lazy 'grindathon' route, that doesn't even have interesting gameplay or other fun mechanics.

    This game is utterly boring, and it pains me to say that damn, it just sucks too much to give a good rating to this trash heap. EA as usually killing studios has BioWare in their Crosshairs and therefore now they have released the **** game they could. I always knew the hype was too good to be true. I guess the saying has some wisdom to it. Unfinished, Unpolished, Shallow, Buggy Garbage.

Also there's no reason for a PC that meets the minimum spec and not be abble to haddle with the damn CPU usage, the game reach 100% just because yes.

    I'm tired of seeing games created just to make money. Ea is outrageous, a monster to make money and has nothing to do with the art of video games. It has ruined its own intellectual property!

    Deserve a big zero for this as this is the amount of patience i got after waiting for the endless loading screens. Btw for a looter shooter where is the loot????!

    A complete waste of time for everybody involved, both Bioware and the players. If you want to play a bad version of Destiny, go and play Destiny. I just hope that this failure doesn't kill Bioware and they can get back to making Dragon Age and Mass Effect games.

    The game is full of bugs on release.
    The PC version has no FOV slider.
    Controlls in the mainhub world are super sluggish.
    Weapons feel all the same and weak.
    Missions are almost all the same.

    + horrible UI

    I expected more from this game. BioWare started hiring developers by their gender, skin color and they got their own. They decided to play this game and they will get their own. If you look at Mass Effect: Andromeda, where feminist worked on the appearance of the character, but in ANTHEM fat **** (feminist) has already worked on the script of the game.     Parts of the world look beautiful, but again, a very boring story, weak and repetitive gameplay. Terrible game. Also, EA has a very BAD reputation for developing games with lots of bugs.

    In it's current state the game is probably the most boring game i played in years, it's the definition of 'Meh' and it plays badly also. It's just another overhyped cash grab from EA nothing serious. Don't buy it, it's not worth it!

    Bioware was famous for it's incredible, inmersive storytelling. This game has tons of lore, but the story doesn't deliver. Get repetitive, micro transactions, infinite load screens, few content after 6 years of development.....

    I've updated my original review of this game from a 5 to a 0, due to the numerous game breaking bugs. As things stand today, this game is not worth investing any time in, and that's coming from someone who got it for free. EA knows this thing is a turd. They have to, there is no way they could not.     Currently, the average user score for Anthem on PC sits at 4.2 Chalk one up for crowdsourcing, because that's just about what it deserves. Anthem is not a disaster the way some are saying, nor is it a triumph. It's a thoroughly mediocre game; beautiful and fast, but also extremely shallow with terrible design decisions throughout.

    The lack of social space in the game is the real head scratcher. It makes the entire world feel dead, or at least more dead than it already would. Fort Tarsis has the look of an area that was lifted right out of a 90s adventure game. People are moving around, but if you watch them, they aren't going anywhere, just following a simple script to move back and forth between two points. NPCs tell you they are leaving, then continue standing right where they are.

    For some reason you can see other players in the Launch Bay, but not Tarsis. This is never explained, but even if it were it makes no difference, because you can't interact with the other players anyway.

    The open world is beautiful, and strange. And dead. It's as if Bioware spent all their dev resources on level designers and graphic artists, with no one left to design an actual game.

    Right now, this game is worse than Destiny 2, or even The Division. It's probably on par with where D2 started, and a little bit better than the disaster The Division was on launch. And that's the silver lining; if Bioware commits the resources, the bones are there to make a good game, just like both those games did, after countless patches and dev hours.

    Will EA give them the time to fix it, and do they know how? Guess we'll see.    … Expand

    Cons: tons of disconnects my major issue with the game 2021.
    graphics are just okay with small maps which doesn't justify the performance, not even going to mention Tarsis city.
    Uninteresting NPC dialogs, repetitive combat and side quests.
    Pros: combat is nice, got nice amount of weapons and mods to customize your playstyle.

    I am a russian journalist and a proud homosexual. I am happy that EA fully supports LGBT community (i represent the russian LGBT community), but i am very sad that this game is bad. It's borring, full of bugs, bad fps, poor shooting mechanic. RIP Bioware

На минуточку, я играл в Варфрейм, Судьбу, Дивизию, но это полный шлак. 3,5к за предзаказ возвращать никто не хочет от чего еще больше портится представление об этой игре. в Мободрочь ради мободроча, ибо иных развлечений тут нет. И то теперь порезали систему лута, чтобы можно было получать топ шмотки лишь с данжей и все. ТупоЭто самая унылая игра подобного жанра из всех, что я видел. Игра проходится за 10-12 часов, после чего наступает время под названием "займи себя сам". Мне вот абсолютно комфортно убивать мобов в Сложном режиме и смысла идти в ГМ1-3 нет абсолютно. Ибо просто не за чем повышать себе сложно. Ничего кроме увеличения хп и урона нет. Тупо болванчики для битья. Невозможно унылый гринд. Я надеюсь нынешних Биоваров закроют за такую халтуру. От прежней студии не осталось ничего… Expand

    After a while, suspicion sets in: perhaps EA doesn’t believe in BioWare anymore, and had them release not only unpolished, but basically unfinished product to cut losses and avoid another total rework. [Issue#237, p.44]

    If you want to see Anthem’s lush jungle and glistening Javelins, do it right away — this game is losing audience fast, and there’s almost nothing to do after the campaign ends. Or check it out on YouTube to save yourself some nerves and money.

    It's obvious that Anthem didn't have enough development time, but had some great potential. It's a real shame, that everything turned out this way. Even now, the game can bring out positive emotions. Hasty climbers have sudden falls. No matter how ironic this proverb may seem, it's incredibly relevant for Anthem.
