The game has good visuals and some good mechanics. I love Flying through the map in missions. But, the story is bland and boring. Everything turns out repetitive. I experience a few FPS drops and many bugs. I have 6hs played in the game. I do not recommend it, Destiny 2 it´s better than this piece of ****

Unfinished, buggy mess that repeats the mistakes of every live service to come before it. There is no excuse for releasing this kind of mess and charging full price. Anthem is a beacon of incompetence.

The people that say "but all the content and bugs will be fixed in the future" are part of the problem.

I do not recommend staying such an attitude towards the players, and even then we will receive Folaut 76 and such spitting in the face.
It doesn’t matter when they fix it up there and what they will do in a year or two to suck your money out of the store, after eating another such spit in a couple of years you will drown.

This game is just a massive disappointment. It's boring, repetitive, open world is empty, endgame is almost non existent, mission structure is boring. Story is below average, lackluster RPG mechanics, really wanted to like it but it's a terrible game.

The original review i did was positive 9/10. This was made when there was actually loot in the looter shooter. thats no longer the case. Its pretty clear that the leadership on this game has no idea what they have in their hands and are quickly destroying it.

The game is completely raw and empty! It is awfully boring! Boring to explore the world, boring to do quests and boring to shoot! It is difficult to find at least something that isn't boring! This is not a tripleA project, not now and is not worth its$50! The maximum price of the game in this form can not exceed$20. Thank you for listening.

    - Really bad console port: horrible ui, horrible swimming and flying which should be perfect because its one of the main aspects of the game
    - A million loading screen - it's literally a loading simulator, you get loading screens after 4-5 min gametime everytime, open world, huh?
    - Bad gear system
    - Awful little and bad endgame content, there are 3 strongholds from which 1 of is basically a story quest replay, the stronholds are so badly balanced and designed it's phisical pain
    - Downgrades and awful optimization / performance

I could go on for ages, but this game doesn't even worth the time it takes to sort all of the problems out...
The only pro's it has is the gameplay, which is fluid and sometimes fun, but that's all that is good about this game.
It was hyped, we had hope but it turned out it was for nothing. It's horrible in many aspects, I got bored of the game before release. It was a 3 day game. I didn't have high expections, I wanted like 100 fun hours out of the game and I would've been good. I tought that nothing will be as bad of a scam as Destiny 2 at launch. I was wrong.... at least Destiny was fun for a week, this game is "fun" for max 3 days.

    Sad.

In order to be able to play this game I had to switch language to French. I can only play this game in freaking french or it won't even load in English. What the heck is wrong with you Bioware ?

This is pretty much how you will experience Anthem: 10 hours in front of your software trying to make it work or waiting for it to load for 3 hours of actual playing time.

The worst part is that I enjoy the gameplay which is pretty much copied on Mass Effect Andromeda that I loved.

But the bugs, the crashes, being forced to play the french version, the lack of any story and the fact that I spent 70 dollars to support the studio that abandonned us Andromeda fans to create this joke of a game gave me arguably the worst gaming experience of my life and I've been playing for 25 years now…

Still, even though I can't enjoy it on an Oled screen, the game is beautiful, smooth and very promising and could be a good game in a year or two when it should actually have been released.
Hence the 2 points I give it.
It could even be a great game if Bioware were to offer us an only-solo DLC of no more than 5 to 6 hours exploring the lore of Anthem...

In the first few missions of the game all you do is go somewhere, kill enemies, find something, stand in a circle, kill enemies for a minute, repeat, then leave. You do this over and over again until after just a few hours you're bored out of your mind. I feel like I've done these exact things in a hundred other games already many, many times.

As far as the story is concerned, don't bother. It's cringeworthy and extremely generic. The characters are annoying and cliché. The voice acting is horrible to the point where I ended up just skipping the dialogue all together.

The only positive thing about this game I can think of are the graphics. They're beautiful; among the best graphics I've ever seen. But this also comes with a downside unfortunately. The performance on most rigs is utter **** and the game is very poorly optimized.

I can't express in words how disappointed I am. It's so sad to see EA destroy video games and their developers again and again because of their disgusting business practices. I hope one day people will finally stop supporting this disgrace of a company before it's too late.

Many people have mentioned the loading times, horrible central hub, awful design decisions and a storyline that is more bland than a dried up piece of bread, so I'll simply state the main reason I don't like it - it is the most soulless and boring game I've played in my 28 years as a gamer.

I really really wanted to like this game, and I'll admit it is a very beautiful game, but the world is empty and lifeless, the quests are literally the most generic quests you could ever make, and the combat, which is meant to be the focus of the game, is so mind numbingly repetitive and boring I literally almost fell asleep while standing on what felt like the 100th "defense" point killing wave after wave of generic enemies.

I really hope this game can be salvaged, but seeing as so many of the issues in the game are caused by design decisions buried deep in the core of it, I can't see it happening without a complete rebuild of the entire game.

In my opinion skip this completely, save your money and buy something that is actually fun.

Edit: There are a lot of unrealistic user reviews for both the positive and negative currently, so if you're unsure who to trust then go read the reviews done by the professional reviewers who have no bias and are reporting on the game as it is currently.

    The bad:
-They somehow made flying and shooting guns/grenades/rockets/lightning boring and frustrating
-I have Anthem on an M2 NVME hard-drive and the loading screens still average 2-3 minutes
-Said loading screens are absolutely everywhere
-Seriously, it's unacceptable to have a loading screen going into and coming out of your equipment screen
-The mission hub is lifeless, and characters are all 1-dimensional stereotypes
-You have 0 input on the story
    -3 different types of missions
-Enemies appear out of nowhere, and often disappear right in front of you
-Even itemization is lacking; You get maybe 2-3 variations on each gadget or extra weapon, with only about 7-8 variations on main weapons, and beyond that they're just rarity and level tiered
-The environments are utterly unvaried; they consist of valley and cave, and nothing more

I really wanted to like this game to justify my Origin Premier subscription, but each new day I though about playing became worse. I would think "I should give it a chance. Maybe it gets to be fun." Even while trying hard to force myself to play, I just couldn't. It's a barely functional disaster, devoid of enjoyment and rife with frustration. It's a complete waste of time. The fact that this little content took 6 years to produce is beyond shameful.

ça n'a aucun interret.

Note: I did not pay for my copy of the game. A friend whose been hyped for this bought it for me as a gift and I'm honestly considering giving him his money back so it doesn't go to waste.

The combat feedback loop is repetitive, unimaginative, and grindtastic. Weapons don't do enough damage to beefier enemies and drag out combat. Abilties are supposed to combo but there's no guide or info on how to make them do so which requires players figuring it out. If a player has to figure out how to use a mechanic of the game then the developer has failed.

Content is severely limited. There only so much you can do in Anthem and it all boils to the same thing over and over (and not in a gratifying way). To think that future content that realistically should've been included at launch will be added as "paid DLC".

Story: Lies. End of story. Go to the trailers in Metacritic and watch the "Our World, My story" trailer. It's all lies and wasn't executed at all. Notable Bioware story telling is nowhere in this game. All dialogue options boil down to answers 1 and 2 and have absolutely no impact on your story. Things that you do while playing the game have no impact on your story like the trailer says it will. This is by far the biggest travesty of Anthem and I suspect a false advertising lawsuit will be coming shortly against Bioware and EA.

Characters: First Bioware games have always been about player choice and there isn't any in Anthem besides choose a face for your player character you will never see and is entirely inconsequential. The characters you meet are unimaginative and honestly unlikable. If your going to be forced to talk to individuals to get quests and advance the story you've got to want to hear what they have to say. However there's not really any NPC that I actively want to engage with. Whats worse is the in-game/real money micro-transaction store NPCs are in game solely to try and sell players on buying cosmetics. In final, unlike other Bioware games you can't do anything with these characters besides talk to them and that's severely disappointing.

Microtransactions: This is at least where Bioware and EA didn't lie. Everything is purely cosmetic and can be purchased for real money or in game currency. While the in game currency cost is high (tens of thousands) In two days of playing I've earned 10,000 in game currency so it's not so bad. What it lacks is variety and anything of interest. It's also in poor taste that things that were unlocked by default in the VIP and Open trial weekends are now locked behind a paywall.

Bugs: So the VIP and open "demo" weekends were filled with a variety of largely game breaking bugs that have made it into regular release. Why Bioware didn't host a open or closed beta is beyond me. Many of these things could've been caught long in advance. I can only surmise this was because Bioware knew the state of the game and knew they (EA) wouldn't recover from it's premature exposure showing all it's glaring flaws and lies. So they forced a premature release bugs and incomplete resulting in poor reviews.

Ambiance: Fort Tarsis was shown during trailers to be this bustling city with lots going on. In reality it's a boring uneventful waste of time. People realized this quickly in the demo weekends being forced to walk through it at a crawl. To fix this Bioware added running but it didn't address the core problem of being a completely drab experience so they created a "launch bay" public area where everyones in their suits. Which is itself an admittance that the Fort Tarsis experience Bioware touted is simply unrepairable.

User Interface: No way to see public events in free roam so now way to gather players together. No way to communicate with other players by text. Overly complicated UI in all aspects. Destiny-like story in lore cards not active gameplay.

Animations: The biggest flaw I've seen animation wise has to be facial animations on characters. The best word that I can use to describe it is cringeworthy. They're just bad.

Honestly, can Anthem be fixed? Possibly on some of the issues (combat, content) but not story. Luckily as a multiplayer "looter-shooter" story isn't as consequential. Will they fix it in time before the player base drops it for the sad shell of a joke it is? Unlikely.

    Pros:
Unique "ironman" style game play that hasn't been done very well before.

    Cons:
Complete lack of engaging story and likable characters Bioware is known for.
    False Advertising in trailers.
    Unsatisfying combat
    Unsatisfying content
    Lack of usable User Interface
Unimaginative and Unlikable characters (both friend and foe)
Wasted and not fleshed out story
Gear isn't significant or unique and type limited.

is this worth $60? Absolutely not.

Sorry for the wall of text, didn't realize Metacritic can't format paragraphs.

The matchmaking would often crash and the game just felt like it became way to clusterf@#$y. The only positives I have for this game are that it looks pretty, and I generally enjoyed making my suits look pretty. Besides that, the game is really braindead. When I played my first BioWare game (Mass Effect 2), I was blown away by how good the narrative was. This game pretty much shatters what I always thought BioWare stood for: strong narrative-driven games. Maybe they'll make another interesting singleplayer game in the future, but I have no interest in Anthem. Expand

The campaign's ending was a huge killer to the narrative and is such a letdown. Everything about its gameplay is BORING and utterly repetitive. Once you get past the "honeymoon stage", you realise that the game is just made up of NOTHING.

At the town, known as "Fort Tarsis", I ended up just trying to quickly escape that horrid place as it is lifeless, soulless, and its just something you want to avoid.

Loading times are intolerable and dreadful, and almost every area you visit, there's a load screen.

I gave Bioware so much promise, and I had so much anticipation. It saddens me that my children will never be able to experience the games of yesteryear that gave my generation so much joy.

    - Poorly written
    - Terribly shallow dialogue options
    - Uninteresting villains
    - Very anticlimactic ending

One of my biggest problems with the story is that it barely explains a thing. For example one of the first enemies in the game are the scars. They are not explained and are just there because.

    Gameplay:
+ Fairly fun mobility in javelins
    - Boring, simple and repetitive shooting mechanics
    - Terrible menus
    - huge graphical downgrade on the map since E3

I'd some up the gameplay just like the definition of insanity, its the same thing over and over again and part of me expects it to change, but it doesn't.

    Performance:
+ Runs much better than expected tbh, most likely due to the frostbite engine
    - UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNT OF LONG LOADING SCREENS, i played with a higher ranged PC and still got load times of about a minute or two
    - Terrible servers leading to fairly regular loss of connection back to the menu or to the fort
    - Some mission just straight up don't work, bosses or enemies just wont spawn causing you to have to restart.

This game stands as a testament by EA to show that they will ruin all they own. Bioware was once a praised developer but EA, just like many other studios, have had the soul sucked out of them. Anthem was good in concept and could have been an amazing single player RPG, but EA forced the live service ideology on them. Ruining any chance it had for success. The game also is clearly not finished shown by the poor polish and overall lack of content. Unless you 100% believe you will like this game DO NOT BUY IT!

Gameplay/loot/loading issues abound. Amount of content is about what you'd expect from an early alpha build. One struggles to imagine how it took 5+ years to get to this point.

While Anthem does feature some strong entertaining features that make it somewhat enjoyable to play, it is heavily outweighed by all its current issues. As someone who played from the Alpha up the official launch, much remains to be resolved. I've sent them personally a message that it would be better to delay a game till its polished rather than rushing a release filled with bugs.

Regarding the story, it feels so cheesy and generic that there isn't any sense of accomplishment once you finish it. The promises of our choices having consequences in the game was simply a lie which is surprising for BW as they are known for bringing in some of the best rpg stories out there as someone who played more than once the trilogy of Mass Effect.

The graphics might look nice and great in this day and age but it is by war the worst optimized game which doesn't make use of your current computer hardware even with the latest parts. The E3 2017 demo still remains one of the most spectacular trailer I've ever seen. It's simply a bummer that the game was heavily downgraded up to its current state. From my understanding, a lot happened since then and new people joined into the development and made changes to it.

The loot itself is a mess, the fact that they need the feedback from players to understand something so obvious makes me worry about what was going on during the development. There is no mini-map, no way to checkpoint on a map nor a text-chat.

While their communication has been premium, the same problems have been expressed since the Alpha and are still present in this current version of the game which was also promised to be way better and have a lot of fixes but it just keeps having more problems whenever they add new patches. Only time will tell if Anthem will survive all this chaos.

As someone who spent over 89 hours into the game, I'm starting to feel burned out as there is nothing rewarding about the grinding either. The rewards are simply vinyl which doesn't justify the high amount of grinding for it plus we're missing a bunch of gear variety pieces and emotes which they planned to sell via the vendor with coins and shards which is a bummer.

I definitely do not recommend this game in its current state but it could be a fun ride for some of you out there. However, if you are a veteran gamer, be prepared to experience some of the worst and best-looking game ever made by BW.

You've probably heard a lot of bad press about this game coming in and you're wondering if it's as bad as they say. It isn't. It's much, much worse.

Gameplay is a disjointed mess, with the actual game broken up by a mandatory first-person segment where you move at the speed of smell inside a too-large city to pick up quests and have pointless conversations. You can't spend any significant amount of time in your suit without having to return to this hub, which is hands-down one of the worst elements of the game. To get in or out of this area you have to sit through multiple loading screens that take roughly half a minute or more on even the best hardware.

The suits and the movement mechanics -one of the only parts of this game to receive plaudits- are hampered by a frustrating overheat mechanic that prevents you from flying for more than a few seconds without crashing even outside of combat.

You can't manage your inventory or customize your suit without sitting through two loading screens, one to get into the interface and one to get out of it. Both again 30 seconds or more.

The suit gameplay itself has the potential to be fun but the enemies are dumb and there's little variety or challenge.

The game feels at best half finished, if that.

It will take monumental changes at a level that I don't think Bioware or EA will be willing to make in order for this game to be worth playing. At a minimum that will mean:

-Doing away with Fort Tarsis or switching to a third-person view for these segments, speeding up your movement inside, and removing loading screens.

-Removing the heat mechanic outside of combat entirely or making it a buff for those who elect to manage it rather than a constant frustration for those that don't.

-Making it so that you can manage inventory and customize your suit without having to sit through 2-4 loading screens.

Why is it unlikely these changes will be implemented? Because if you take away all the frustrating penalty mechanics and busywork to get missions or customize your suit it becomes much more apparent how little content there is in the game and how all of it is very one dimensional and sameish.

Stay well away. This game needs at least another year of dev time.

Why I start the review saying this is because I think that the bad impression me and many others have about this game is not only because of how bad the game actually is but also because of how good it looked in those trailers back then. When I saw that scene where the character gets in the suite and jumps down the cliff and start flying through the beautiful map made me think that I was in front of one of the best single payer campaigns of all time because I imagined myself flying through the map freely discovering caves and new lands with npcs that give you missions. This game lacks everything that’s was going to make it good in the beginning, it is boring to the point that maybe you will get tired in less then a day of play, you will be doing the same stuff over and over again through the whole game in very similar places. Even if you like arcade kind of games Anthem will be too much for you and being so arcade is another reason for the game being the less immersive of 2019. While playing anthem you will not care at all about who your character is or where he/she is going because the story is weak and so superficial that you wont care. Loading screens are an absolute nightmare, I tried the game (full release, non beta) in a M2 drive and loading screens were atrocious not because loading screens take too long (some do) but because they are everywhere breaking again the whole immersion of the game. It is a game that forces multiplayer when it shouldn’t and requires a constant connection to the internet.
There is a chance that you get exalted in the beginning while you are learning the mechanics and you fly for the first time (flying its cool) and maybe you will get excited but don’t worry because the game will take care of that excitement just give it 30 minutes more and you will see.

UI for PC is terrible and almost everything but the environments screams minimum effort.
    Crafting is useless.
Loot is done in the worst, most lazy way.
Enemy AI and the amount of different enemies is pathetic.

Anthem lacks many expected features and basic qol features.

I got the game despite the bug riddled launch because I was hyped for the roadmap features they announced on their website - turns out the road map was a lie, the "new" events that they promised were just reused missions in a rotation. Cortex Locked event turns out to be "Kill 100 beasts"... Sad. Events were a joke and the new features like guilds and mastery system were postponed indefinitely at the last possible moment.

The developer is arrogant and treats the community poorly, the game lacks any meaningful progression.

If you are thinking about getting the game wait for massive discounts or play it with Origins subscription, 1 month should be more than enough for you to get bored with the game.

With the current rate of bug fixes and new content/improvements they'll need at least a year and a half to fix the game and maybe another couple of years to add any meaningful progression and content... if EA doesn't pull the plug first.

And then on the first mission after you get your first Javelin the matchmaking did not work. I waited for 10-15 mins without getting in to the match becoz there was no one available for matchmaking. At least they could have added a single player option like in Warframe.

It's NOT fun at all don't listen to fanboys that give a 10 score for this thing, almost everything about it is a total chore. Even normal gaming conventions are out the window. No guys, sorry but most of the core issues this game has cannot be fixed unless it goes back to the drawing board. There is nothing that warrants this game above a 5. From the Javeline (jet pack) that overheats WAY too quickly, to the glitches everywhere in gameplay, to the lack of prompts telling you where to go or what to do, to the HORRIBLE menu system and user interface, to the fact that switching guns you have to HOLD DOWN THE SQUARE button, even though PRESSING THE SQUARE BUTTON is the reload button. There is no excuse for this game to be this bad. Basic gaming protocols are pretty much out the window with this game. I will never again preorder any game from anyone, period. It is incomprehensible to me how a company like EA/Bioware, who are concerned with profits, can't figure out how to put out a good game that has gamers wanting to play it and wanting to buy it... therefore... PROFITS. This game isn't even half finished. This feels like a first Beta release. To those of you saying "awww it's not that bad...." seriously how much crap are you willing to put up with in a game? To highlight a few things that inexcusably suck with Anthem:

    - It is incomprehensible to me that they made it so the Javeline overheats way too fast, so instead of enjoying the views and experiencing pleasure with flying around, it's a total chore where you're constantly distracted by doing things so it doesn't constantly overheat. You inevitably come crashing down way too often.

    - When you do fly around you're also distracted by constantly watching the Javeline heat meter to see if it's overheating which is on the BOTTOM of the screen even though when you're flying around looking at the scenery, it's usually towards the TOP of the screen.

    - Lack of any prompts telling you where to go or what to do. I resort to following my team to figure out where to go because there are ZERO prompts telling you where to go next on your quest. Or if they are there, they're far too obscured. I mean come on... prompts showing you where to go should be EASILY and QUICKLY seen by the user.

    - When you actually do get to a quest spot, there is often nothing telling you what to do so everyone on the team is running around doing nothing... waiting for some prompt or some enemies to spawn in. Again.... WTF??

    - The dialogue is just stupid and often meaningless. During quests, the voices of the characters telling you what to do are so chatty and incessant, you can't figure out what they're saying because of all the other distractions you're concerned with. (See above.)

    - Not being able to change loadouts during gameplay or even see the stats of the new machine gun you just got is a pain. You literally have to go back to the Hub, open a bunch of menus... choose the new gun... launch a mission to check it out, and if you don't like it, too bad, you have to wait til the mission is over then go back to the hub....choose more menus... rinse and repeat. Oh and the LOADING SCREENS....

    - Don't even get me started on how many loading screens are in this game. Honestly this is the worst I've ever seen in any game, hands down. The loading screen issue alone kills this game for me.

    - The menu is an absolute nightmare, a total mess and completely illogical. I do user interface for a living and I'm speechless how bad the menu system is. I'm constantly having to Google where to find stuff.

The drop down menu itself is on an ANGLE. Human eyes don't go down a menu on angles and we're all used to vertical placement. Oftentimes the down button won't go down the menu either. Being on an angle, this menu layout leaves about 1/6th of the screen in the lower left corner completely unused. There are way too many drop down menus to get to the info you need too.

    - For some stupid reason the developers couldn't be bothered to include basic controller layouts or diagrams showing you how to do anything. I literally had to ask a friend how to switch weapons.

    - No mini map is another inexcusable thing left out of this game.

There's other stuff but I'm tired of typing out how bad this game is. I am honestly left wondering WTF were they doing for 6 YEARS????

I'm not sure if anyone at Bioware actually plays games or learns from other developers mistakes? This is the worst AAA game ever released IMO, even worse than F076 which is saying a lot. If you want to see a review of the game that is well thought out and hits every point, watch Skill Up's on youtube.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, ever, even after a year of patches. Too many other games from developers who know how to make good games.

I’m amazed people have yet to figure out why their beloved developers have fallen. This is what happens when you stop hiring, promoting, and rewarding based on merit. Skill, talent, work ethic have no place in such industries anymore. Arbitrary diversity, identity politics, and SJW activism have destroyed modern videos games. The result is Anthem.

Staggered releases - they distributed a spreadsheet showing who can play and when. Pay for early access - a trend we hopefully will see the death of. So buggy, so very very buggy.

Loading screens take forever and you can spend more time in a loading screen than the mission you load into!

The overall experience is so poor I cannot understand how this would have been a release candidate. We've basically spent money on a game to help them test it out and fix it - real money.

Ben Irving + Bioware + Dev Team: you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Way too flawed - pretty but hardly any substance. It's a shame that they chose to release this in its current state as I feel it needed a lot more polish and content. At the very least more variety would not go amiss. In addition I feel the hub as story thing just doesn't work very well for me.

In short, nice graphics, good sense of motion but poor long term gameplay and sub-par gunplay.

Disjointed mechanics, lack of feedback in combat (especially with guns), poor sound design, poor UI design, poor story, loading screen after loading screen, lack-lustre loot, negligible end game, atrocious story... it's just all so tiresome. BioWare had so many examples of what to do and what not to do with a looter/shooter and didn't take any of the mistakes other's have made in to account.

I'd like to be able to say that many of these fundamental design choices can be fixed with patches or time, but I'm just not sure they can be. It's clear that after almost 7 years this is all that the studio is capable of, and it's a damn shame. It could have been amazing, but it's not and I doubt it ever will be.

And visual part of this game is the only somehow eatable aspect in Anthem, gameplay is repetitive and boring, not many toys to play with, enemies are just simple Bullet-sponges and do not have any normal VI/AI (tbh, even CS1.6 bots have more intelligence, than enemies in Anthem), games becomes boring very fast, does not have content to Play-with, also it's a worst optimized game in last decade (I could not even think that it's possible to create game with worse graphics and worse performance than Conan and ARK did... And it's not a joke, games from 2014 look better even on medium settings, than Anthem shows on high, and they perform twice better... Anthem can't even see more than 2 light directions, works on Dx11, not even Dx11.1 and have just 5 meter rendering distance....), also Graphics is the complex of Technical and Visual decisions and it sucks in both.
It's a very bad game, even Small/Indie Free to Play games bring much better quality or the gameplay/visuals/performance/flexibility/diversity than Anthem did... I mean, that this game is not even worse to be a Free to Play...

    1) How can people defend such weak game that in my opinion is another cashgrab insult sold for 60 bucks?
    2) Why do people still buy games from EA, after what they have done for the past years?

    What did Bioware had:
    - almost 7 years od development (they started in 2012)
    - know how
    - decent budget
    - EA's assurance that this time it will be different

And we received a game with:
    - great flying mechanics
    - downgraded graphics. Quite nice but without variety (ME: Andromeda had it done way better)
    - weak story, or mediocare at best (yes it's a looter/shooter, but story was somewhat prioritized)
    - very weak optimalization (fps drops with good PC's, eternity long loading screens)
    - bugs/crashes
    - dull missions without variety
    - brainless AI
    - basically no interesting drops in a looter/shooter
    - previous gen gameplay menu with loading screens
    - nothing to do at end game
    - shooting "feeling" mediocare at best
    - microtransactions

Basically again an unfinnished game with a lot of issues.

So what happend with common sense and logical thinking? It's EA. Everybody should know by now how it will end, with EVERY title they will ever produce. And don't get me started with: "But Bioware was working on Anthem" Bioware is long dead, only the name remains, nothing more.

To be honest this game deserves a 5-6/10, but because it was another promising title destroyed by EA I gave it a 1/10. They deserve that 1 point for the flying mechanics.

Ну что пацаны, говно-дрочильни от EA продолжаются! А вы что ожидали? Игру для души? Расслабитесь все давно продано, теперь только игры-сервис по выкачиванию бабла.

its just a poorly made game. The story isn't what we come to expect from bioware, the enemies are bland, the loot pool is even more bland, the game is fundamentally broken in MANY instances. It's just a bad bad game. Sad to see this happen to one of my once most favorite developers.

After a while, suspicion sets in: perhaps EA doesn’t believe in BioWare anymore, and had them release not only unpolished, but basically unfinished product to cut losses and avoid another total rework. [Issue#237, p.44]

If you want to see Anthem’s lush jungle and glistening Javelins, do it right away — this game is losing audience fast, and there’s almost nothing to do after the campaign ends. Or check it out on YouTube to save yourself some nerves and money.

It's obvious that Anthem didn't have enough development time, but had some great potential. It's a real shame, that everything turned out this way. Even now, the game can bring out positive emotions. Hasty climbers have sudden falls. No matter how ironic this proverb may seem, it's incredibly relevant for Anthem.
