It has a great open world structure which allows you to experiment and explore at your own pace throughout a large space themed environment teeming with various planets filled with towns,quests, dungeons and monsters. It has a morality system which comes into effect when making decisions and interacting and attacking NPC's, Zelda like combat,spaceship combat, mysterious story, deep lore, Awesome music, POKEMON MECHANICS, minigames, cheats, new game+ and even more things. Gameplay essentially consists of on-foot movement and spaceship flight which can be switched between at almost any time.
While in your spaceship you can land almost anywhere, but exploring space on-foot will require armor such as the Spacesuit. You can have two weapons equipped at any one time which can lead to some pretty fun combinations as well. Spaceships can also be equipped with different armors and weapons too!
My biggest complaints would have to be some small bugs, setting up the controls for a controller, and the lack of a cut scene skipper. A look through the forums will clear up any control setup issues though.
One thing to note I think is that all gameplay and playthrough videos on youtube made before May 2017 show completely outdated footage. The game was redesigned from the ground up during its time on early access so a lot of those videos show things that are no longer in the game. The version launched in May is completely different to the ones before it. Cool game and I'd recommend for all retro action rpg fans :)… Expand
