Aerial_Knight’s DropShot succeeds in delivering fast-paced action and intense stages, with ammo management and a strong balance between offense and evasion creating genuinely fun moments. However, limited variety and short stage length make the experience feel repetitive sooner than expected. The ranking system adds replay value, but it may not sustain long-term interest. Still, fans of the developer’s previous work and this style of challenge will likely find a few hours of solid enjoyment here.

DropShot takes a great stunt and asks what parts of it are essential to the spectacle. In stripping it down to its essence, Knight finds a shared connection between two artistic mediums that love to get our blood pumping.

I was done with DropShot after about two-and-a-half hours, and I could spend more time grinding S+++ scores if I wanted to. But I think the short length works in the game’s favor: DropShot explores its core mechanics in 50 great levels instead of stretching everything out into something that might wear thin. Even when I was nearing the end, I was still excited every time I flew through the sky.
