    The game takes around ten minutes to complete, and while the story feels finished in that time, there doesn't appear to be enough of a chance for the player to bond with and become emotionally invested in the characters in such a short amount of time. Worse, Lucy and Michelle feel like stock characters without much in terms of personality to set them apart. If players were to ask, as they might during a movie or television show or while reading a book, what makes these characters perfect for this situation, there would not be an answer. It seems this was done intentionally so the player could see themselves in either or both roles. Unfortunately, it also prevents these characters from being memorable as themselves rather than for the emotions they stir in the player. It is clear there was a lot of passion and heart behind A Lozenge, but it didn't quite hit the right beats to make it a standout of the genre.

I do wish we had more backstory about what led to the present course of events. As is we’re just dropped in the middle with little context and the ending isn’t much of an ending. The middle is great though and what content is there is enjoyable. The art style is great as well and I like the use of colour. The music was well done and a nice peaceful melody.

    I played A Lozenge on Linux using Wine. It never crashed on me and I didn’t notice any bugs or spelling errors. There is an option for resolution and refresh rate. Alt-tab didn’t work. There was no save option but it is a short game.

    I enjoyed the dialogue and characters but more context; backstory and more of an ending would have been nice. I finished my first play through in 12 minutes. I paid $2.60 CAD for it and felt that was a good value for what i got.
