Zero North Zero West is an incredible journey through unexplored worlds, packed with amazing sights rendered in a riot of color and effects, and a perfect vacation when your mind needs a getaway somewhere new.

Although there isn't a lot to it, its chaotic neon visuals and sense of introspection make it a worthwhile experience.

I'm looking forward to what Colorfiction will make next. They are talented in crafting interesting worlds, but they aimed a little too low this time around. I can see where they were going with 0N 0W, but it just doesn’t seem ambitious enough. I recommend the game to those who are looking for a bizarre, desolate experience that lacks any narrative depth.

0°N 0°W is certainly one of the best surreal themed games out there, on par with Yume Nikki and LSD Dream Emulator (more the latter, with its0°N 0°W is certainly one of the best surreal themed games out there, on par with Yume Nikki and LSD Dream Emulator (more the latter, with its emphasis on open-ended exploration), and is well worth the modest asking price. Colorfiction's art is the star of the show; it is beautifully vibrant and abstract with a touch of realism when necessary, bringing a periodic semblance of order to the chaos, and its use of colour palates, environmental design, as well as music create a myriad of ambiences ranging from awe inspiring to vaguely unnerving, although that part might just be me, I get uneasy when I'm completely alone! That being said, some of 0°N 0°W's zone transitions can, even when you're not epileptic, be quite headache inducing, so you might have to look away if that ends up being a problem for you.

I can see myself periodically returning to 0°N 0°W over the coming months/years, which is always a good sign, and for this as well as the reasons above, I would recommend it to those who enjoy this genre.
