    If any match-three puzzle / battle game is worth a simple one-time fee of five bucks or so, Gems of War is it.

    This is the only Match-3 game and one of the only gacha games to really hook me. Graphics and art are good, fantasy theme is well implements,This is the only Match-3 game and one of the only gacha games to really hook me. Graphics and art are good, fantasy theme is well implements, there's some decent humor, polish is pretty high, there's no stamina system, and ultimately the game is quite generous for F2P or minimal investment. There are a very large variety of game modes, for when you have more or less attention and more or less time--even though most of the "different" things are some kind of grind, that's what most players of these games enjoy. It definitely scratches the collection/progression itch, and I'm surprised it's not more popular than it is. I think it's probably too complex for most casual gamers and too simple for serious gamers... but if you're someone who enjoys the fantasy vibe and wants a fun collection game, I think this is one of the best.… Full Review »
