This game is so god-awful. Even if people say the gameplay is good, the **** micro-transactions and pay-to-win features take away any enjoyment of the game. The game journalists are god damn brain-dead.

The monetization model used by Diablo Immortal has a profound impact on the gameplay. Even the shared spaces in the game are seemingly designed to incentivise the purchase of upgrades, since everything in the game forces you to compete against other players. Players have to compete for chests, shrines, and even the killing of enemies.
If you prefer to play games in a relaxed environment or if you think that games aren't worth thousands of dollars, this game is probably not for you.

STAY A WHILE AND PAY ME! Whoever thought this travesty was a good idea clearly doesn’t understand the audience. There are two VERY distinct user experiences here. I’m surprised there isn’t a Horadric Credit Card you can apply for through the app. I’d rate this game a middle finger and wallet emoji but it uses a number system.

Pay to win and some microtransaction to be OP. BLizzard is sad. If you want to be powerful in diablo immortal you need to spend some money.

The level of greed present in this game is beyond any sane and rational thought to the point that you would think it was a joke if somebody told you it could cost you 100-200 thousand dollars to fully kit your character. a SINGLE character.

How anyone is supporting this greed infested mess is beyond me, Blizzard really are the most disgusting kind of business, don't play it and stop this filth from spreading.

The story is okay but the micro transaction model makes end game futile unless you pay up. Absolutely the worst example of late stage capitalism in the gaming industry

Monetization knows no mercy. Blizzard once again spat in the face of the fans. Money-hungry liars.

    Juste à p2w game.

So many years of development for such a lousy game.... Blizzard is falling lower and lower....

This seems perfectly fine presentation and gameplay wise, but overall soulless. Ridiculous MTXs are included, predatory and evil. Pay 2 win fully.

So refreshing to have a mobile game free from constant ads and not be a pay to win. Do I care I won't get a maxed out character without paying for gems? No. Will it stop me from playing? No.
The only downside is the quests requiring 8+, for someone who is a casual player with not a lot allies online at the same time it's a little off putting. But there is still plenty of missions to

The gameplay adaptation from PC to mobile is seemless. Well worth the wait!

The pay to win aspect of this game is atrocious. If they're willing to do this to Diablo Immortal, I don't doubt for a second they will do it to D4 as well. This has to stop.

P2W, P2W, PW2... And more P2W. Prepare your credit card boys! It has a nice gameplay for a mobile game, but... If u want to be "good" Just pay... There is no another way.

The level of Pay to win/play is so agressive and shameless. They are just milking fans of diablo games for every cent they can. This was weird for the first time I finished the first Dungeon, but it just kept going. One more expensive and exclusive than the previous. The legendary games are at an unobtainable level. Streamers have farmed for hours and thousands of dollars to get the best gem and they are extremely rare. The sad part is for free there is a chance slim to none that you will even see one of the best gems that can have up to 5 stars. Let alone the chance to see a 5 star gem. To level those gems you need more legendary gems so it's just a paying cycle. Certainly disgusting. Expand

Playing on Android, not iOS. Game play itself is great and it really feels like a mobile Diablo game, just too bad after just a few hours you hit the pay to progress wall and you're stuck not being able to progress without paying to gamble.

pay to win garbage. not surprised as blizzard is a ghost of a company with genuinely evil management. this is part of a larger issue with 'F2P' games as they may be free to play, but not free to enjoy.

Everything about this game is designed to funnel the player into the store. Doing anything without paying a significant amount feels like a waste of time. This is the worst example of pay to win I've ever personally experienced, and I honestly believe that it could and should be the catalyst for legislation to reign in these predatory practices by the immoral studios of today.

The gameplay trully, is satisfying, giving you full diablo 3 notes, but better. However it doesn't matter, the monetization of this game is disqusting. I am appalled by it, how did we get here blizzard?

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
