The monetization is straight up diabolical. I am okay with spending a few dollars a month on something like cosmetics. But if the game forces me to pay hundreds of dollars to even have a chance to progress then I have no desire to participate. Greediness at it's peak. 0/10.

i had to come here to put a decent 0.

you may enjoy this game if you put your entire salary every month until you starve to death.

Dystopian business model. Immoral. Appalling. Disgusting.

There has to be a better way than this.

Worst predatory monetization system in a AAA title as of 2022.
I love Diablo and old Blizzard. They promised to change our minds, they did. I never though it could be THIS bad.
    0/10, don't support this

I don't even know why they named it "diablo".
A better name would be something like "credit card smasher" or "money crusher".

If you don't want to accumulate debts, you should keep your hands off the game.

First this is nothing more than a poor version of diablo 3.
Second the microtransactions system is just ruining the game just like all Pay to Win games.
Boycott this and spend your money elsewhere useful.

That saddest part of all this is that the game itself is very fun. However, knowing that I will always be behind my friends who spend money on this game has really put me off from playing at all. This is a new low for mobile games, which says a lot about how unreasonable, predatory, and greedy the in-game monetization is. Shame on you, Blizzard.

Pay to win. Shameful D3 old content and zero skill necessary. So sad that it could have been a great game but they made everything on autopilot, even the quests.

As long as people download and buys those gacha/p2w games they will continue to milk it. Do the right thing and never ever support this.

This game deserves 1 only for quality of controls and smooth graphics. NOT a Diablo game experience, the whole game seems to be built around the pay2win element, no way to just play when one wants to. Have to log in and do the dailies, nothing more, nothing less. Be prepared to pay if u want to be ahead of the rest.

The story is actually pretty good, considering the rating I've given. The story and writting is better than d3, much darker feeling. It's cool how it links d2 and d3 together in a solid way.

No, the 0 score comes down to the aggressive monetisation approach they've gone for. Every step and movement you make is monetised . You can barely breath without the game asking you to spend a little, then the little becomes a lottle (lot). The monetised design is the most disgusting predatory approach I've ever seen. They didn't just try a battle pass but they implemented every money making method possible.
You feel inadequate for not spending money. Its all a ploy designed by blizzard

O'right - don't get me wrong. I think that this game is actually great. It got the good-old-diablo-vibe to mobile phone. I had a ton of fun going through the story. Graphics are good and moody, skills are dynamic enough and gameplay is not as boring as one would think - mind, it's a mobile game.

But then - BANG - i hit the paywall. The shop was quite aggressive from the very beginning

But then - BANG - i hit the paywall. The shop was quite aggressive from the very beginning but at first I didn't mind. I don't see a reason not to pay creators for a good game they made - works just fine with Path of Exile - I just never pay at start as I need to see the endgame and make sure the game will stick.

So what's my problem, eh? My problem is Pay to Win. I won't write the obvious things - Bellular did that already - just go to Youtube and watch it - it's worth it. The game is one huge predatory Pay to Win scam - like nothing we've seen so far. If You won;t pay You won't be able to get a decent gear to compete with others without a ton of real money spent on virtual boosters.

    Sad. So, goddamn, sad...

Pay to win trash. Deleted this game immediately. Everyone needs to send a clear message to blizzard and activision that this is not okay. They’re testing the waters and if they get away with this they will include it in all of their games moving forward. Shame on you blizzard. It's really a shame because this could have been fun and introduced a new loyal audience to this beloved classic game. However, it's a predatory disaster of greed perpetrated by a company now beholden to profit over quality. Such a shame. D2R did things right. This is embarrassing and shameful.

Decent graphics and atmosphere for a mobile game, though predatory micro transactions make this a clear 0/10. Hope there will be more legislation like in Belgium that bans predatory games like this across the globe.

Blizzard, Blizzard ,Biizzard, a shadow of your former selves, you have sunk so low in the scumbag title, that scumbags are thought of higher than you are now.

100k+ to max a character out, what on earth is that all about?

Fantastically polished and fun gameplay, but so riddled with pay-to-win wale hunting microtransactions that it shouldn't be played by anoyone with even an ounce of self respect. This game in the end is nothing more than an app designed to make as much money as quickly as possible by scamming Blizzards customers.

    No. Absolutley no.
I was looking forward to Diablo Immortal. A diablo for mobile. Wow.
But this kind of monetization is TO heavy.
25€-Skins are bound to the character (not even to the server or account), 25€ for 10 legendary crests.
    No way.
Blizzard is going down a path that I will not follow.

Didn't played the game and will never do either. But this kind of insane corporate greed should be punished with a 0 rating! This is a big **** you for their fanbase and gamers in general.

I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game. To see it submit to mobile gaming's worst tendencies, rather than make any effort to be different, to be better, is galling. It may be flashy and efficient as both a Diablo game and a mobile game, but Immortal offers little that is bold, ambitious or innovative. Instead, its structure and pacing is designed with one goal in mind: to squeeze as much cash out of every player as it can. [Issue#374, p.110]

It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
