    I will preface by saying this is an unethical entity because it is not a real game.

    If you are the type of 'gamer' who believes the cash shop where you purchase virtual items with real money is the hub of content, then you are the demographic. You can buy power indirectly by purchasing gems.

    To touch on my latter statement from the above. If you play the game through and through, you WILL be time gated for a month. You need gems to upgrade gear. However, by playing without the assistance of using real life money you can only obtain like... 3 gems per MONTH. But.... if you buy it all off the of the cash store well you can keep going. Blizzard implemented a "feel bad" system where if you buy a gem and it doesn't proc to an legendary gem you have to pay a little over $100 for the system to auto-proc that for you. Keep in mind that ONE proc could take $100. Now do that at least 12 times. Note! I haven't even gotten into the deeper microtransactional problems either. Haven't explored that and I never will. Miss me with all of this digesting and reprehensible system. I'm good.

    Disclaimer. Personally, I do not care about paying with real money for in-game cosmetics. You know, things that do not make your character more powerful in any way possible. I can literally care less. Even if those looks are better than anything farmable, again zero F's given.

    Final note, Diablo Immortal reviews are currently deactivated on google. You search for "diablo immortal review" and you are redirected to critic reviews. Which the world over knows they are literal shrills who have sold their souls for a $40k/salary to these degenerate gaming companies while simultaneously pretend to be the public gamers best friend. Lies on top of lies and again, reprehensible and disgusting to say the least.    … Expand

    People say it will be a good diablo game if there were no p2w aspects, but in reality, this is nothing more than a mediocre(at best) experience of diablo 3 with absolute 0 passion and interest put into it. There are many games that flop, but at least, in some games, you see they tried to make it good, but they didn't have money, experience, or both to make at least a decent game

    This game were the most wasted few hours of my life, as I realized that you can't play it without paying infinite amounts of real money to play it further. The fun level of it just sinks below zero, when you notice that. This is neither pay to win, nor pay to progress - when you look close it is pay to pay.

Activision Blizzard really pulled out all the stops and chose to bomb a beloved franchise out of uncontrollable greed. I can say without a doubt this game isn’t worth giving a moment of your time. And that last statement isn’t even based off the entire dev team being a bunch of loot goblins who want to rob you of your worldly possessions and instill a gambling addiction in all of its underage players. That being said the game is a reskin of Diablo 3 with some new boss assets to make it seem like “the Diablo experience on mobile” and they did exactly what they set out to, they made Diablo 3 for mobile because there’s nothing new to do. I may have omitted a new feature in the last statement! PvP a feature any Diablo fan has been yearning for, for years! And blizzard chose the perfect platform to introduce it on because it became a perfect example on why the model doesn’t work on mobile with lag being an obvious hurdle even the blizzard gods have not foretold. I’ve also never knew how much I enjoyed getting pegged by people in the upper class of Diablo immortal, I was never reminded enough about the class system in our society so Diablo immortal is a great lesson on classism. In all honestly even for free this game is a rip off its more advertising then content, “just killed the first boss demon slayer? As a thank you for cleansing the world I’ve got the perfect thing for you (insert: $0.99 loot chest). “Killed your second boss I’ve got the perfect thing for ya (insert: $2.99 loot chest). Hear me out it’s not a pay to win game, it is simply a pay to play free game. At which no point do they want you to forget the 800% value item in the shop that you’re missing out on by being a peasant. “we pour our hearts and souls into everything we create.”- Blizzard’s company motto, if that is the case they must have sacrificed some psychopaths for this because this is nothing short of predatory. I think this was the final straw to make me completely give up on them as a whole, this game from announcement to release was never made for us the fans of Diablo it is simply a cash grab they no longer see us as players but as piggy banks and they will continue to learn how to shake more and more out of us all.     After 3 weeks of gameplay, I am done with the game and going to delete it. Although spending a few hundred pounds is not a big deal for me but I won't, the normal battle pass is all what you worth. Oh yes, I never used metacritic before and registered an account only for you, therefore remember to transfer 4.48 as recommendation fee and keep the 1 pence in your creased coffee cup

    There are many issues with this game. Among these issues are:
    PvP is only active 2 hours a day, and during those 2 hours expect to get sh*t on by ranking whales.

    You'll be met by pay walls and nursed into checking the shop daily for free items - where you'll be met with offers of hundreds of percent in value (when it can be argued that there is in fact no value to a digital object). And if you were to buy anything by spending real life currency, trading isn't even allowed - as it has been, and still is, in all other Diablo games.

    You can't buy loot boxes directly, but instead you buy "Crests" (tokens) for "Rifts", where the bought crests guarantees good (randomized) loot. If you use the tokens that are given to you daily for free, you can instead expect to get ... terrible loot.

    The use of these tokens is a brilliant workaround the use of loot boxes with randomized loot, as the use of loot boxes is illegal in certain countries - hence apparently making the game legal in some of the countries that have banned games that use of loot boxes.

    In terms of visual design, the game straight up reuses tile sets from Diablo III. In terms of the actual gaming experience, it's incredibly close to that of the Diablo III experience, and basically runs and feels like Diablo III.

    Now with all that said ... You obviously don't have to pay anything if you want to play the game, but if you don't ... do not expect a great experience playing this game.    … Expand

    The amount of predatory micro transactions and loot-box type mechanics completely ruins everything that makes this a Diablo game. This is far worse than the real money auction house scandal from Diablo 3 as this veers very close to criminal. Honestly Activision/Blizzard should be taxed as a casino would at this point with how many Gambling mechanics are involved.

    I preregistered to play the game. Following all the MTX related info that is being shared, i am disgusted with Blizzard. WILL NOT be playing Diablo although i have played all their previous games. This is just a new low for how manipulative they can be. I would have gladly paid 100 bucks for the full game without any MTX.

    Diablo Immoral is the latest Gamble Simulator from Activision Blizzard. Trying to manipulate you into spending more money. It is of course full of lootboxes behind mechanics and has multiple layers of manipulation and monetization.

    I was not even allowed to play it because the game itself is illegal in my jurisdiction due to the gambling included ;)

    The game has hidden caps for none paying gamers just to get you to spend money, the grind is impossible for fri gamers plus you have to pay around 15-25 thousand dollars to get one 5/5 star gem, absolutely insane. Do not support this game, stop wasting your money on this please

Is insane how pay to win this game is. Worst part, they have great scores in their respective stores (Android and Apple). Most ppl trying the game don't understand how the monetization works in this game. The advantageI spent about $50 in the game since I wanted to support it. It is fun to play, the graphics are really good for a smartphone game and as usual the lore of Diablo is nice.     It's impossible to reach the game developers about issues/bug reports, they will refer you to their forums and you wont be able to create forums freely either. The Event times are very terrible, Clan System is a joke. awfully bad. I cant imagine how they could think this is alright for 4 years work.     Just another monetization nightmare disguised as a "game". The hammer needs to come down on these predatory gaming companies. Diablo 3 sucked and i have zero hope for the next installment. There's a reason games like Elden Ring are such a hit because they avoid all the things gamers hate.

    Great Gameplay, for a mobile game it really does feel satisfying to play and the visuals and effects on the higher graphics settings are really good actually. However the story is quite bad and uninspiring, the progression really becomes slow and annoying the further you continue, there are more in-game currencies than you can count with 4 hands and most importantly:

    I can't give this zero, because so much of the game is almost ok, but I can't give it above 1, because I can't bring myself to play it again, and any game considered unplayable is almost as bad as it gets.

    I gave it 2/10 because the mobile version does play very nicely and it's cool to be able to have Diablo in your pocket. Some might say that doesn't negate all the predatory p2w crap, but I think it's worth something.     The fact that this game is P2W is absurd. Blizzard could have released a mobile game with a full experience for 19.99 and people would have made the purchase. And if a pay feature needed to exist it should have been purely cosmetic.

    This is clearly geared to the Asian market and nothing more than a money grab.

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
