    This could have been a fantastic Diablo mobile game. I would have even made a one time purchase of 10-15 dollars for this game, but the minute you introduce micro transactions and pay to win I'm out. I'm giving it a 1 since it's technically a game and meets that minimum standard.

    That's right; The game doesn't let YOU figure out your limit by pushing harder. All to make make sure you don't feel bad when you die in game.

    However. If you DO pay money for strength you will progress faster, but that just means you will reach the next wall faster aswell. So.. I mean. Ok?

    As far as content goes, the game opens up the more main story you complete, and alot of the overwhelming amount of cash shop items eventually start to make sense.

    The graphics are amazing. It is a very well made game but it doesn't have that gear progression of older Diablo titles where farming certain areas or bosses was the way to go to get stronger.

    It's more like an on-rails kind of mobile game that we have seen many many times before. Just made using better graphics and ALL the psychological tactics.

    Because of the psychological tactics used and the dumbing down of gameplay elements that only serves as to encourage people to visit the cash shop I can't recommend this to anyone as doing so could mean this type of game keeps getting made. (Instead of real actual games)

    However, the type of gamer that plays into the hands of Blizzard and other mobile games like this aren't the type of person who will read reviews or watch content about how the community feels so in a way I guess this review is kind of pointless.

    But if you do come across this review just know that this game is primarily a wallet-warrior type of game and not a skill-based kind of game.

    I love the Diablo series, I even really enjoy Diablo Immortal. Unfortunately I know this enjoyment will be short-lived when I inevitably will be left in the dust by people who spend thousands upon thousands of dollars to cap the BGs. This is an embarrassment for the Blizzard name. Such a shame. Very predatory micro transaction P2W lootbox game.

    I've been a fan since Diablo II. I had to VPN to install and play Diablo Immortal and I fully understand why my country banned it. It's an absolute travesty what Blizzard has become. A great game that is completely corrupted by psychological mind-games to take your money.

    Player of D1, D2 & D3 here...with Immortal we lost the spirit of the game...everything was corrupted by the business model (free + in-app) and pushed way to far for me. I think this should be even forbidden, to protect people for loosing their money, being addicted by these mechanics put in place with combination of developers & psychologists to crack your wallet. The game was forbidden inPlayer of D1, D2 & D3 here...with Immortal we lost the spirit of the game...everything was corrupted by the business model (free + in-app) and pushed way to far for me. I think this should be even forbidden, to protect people for loosing their money, being addicted by these mechanics put in place with combination of developers & psychologists to crack your wallet. The game was forbidden in Belgium & Nederland for that reason. I think others countries should follow and use DI as the game who made the change to the laws, and clean this **** gaming industry...DI is not the only game but probably the worst in that domain.     However, much like Diablo 3, the game doesn't truly begin until you reach level 60 and the novelty of the second rate    The early phase of the game is mostly enjoyable. It's kind of like being in a playroom with a slick Diablo wallpaper surrounding you... The mystique and intrigue of the predictable, unsatisfying story is pumped up by riding on a sense of nostalgia for a beloved series.

    However, much like Diablo 3, the game doesn't truly begin until you reach level 60 and the novelty of the second rate toys in that playroom are revealed for what they are (cheap imitations that are the equivalent of a one-trick pony).

    In the later phase of the game, the game is reduced to an endless, slow grind for mediocre rewards, all in attempt to grow your character into a ceaseless "boom engine." Dungeons never change (which is interesting, since Diablo 1 revolutionized randomized dungeons), the loot drops are a trickle of worthless items that force you to constantly disrupt the tempo of the game with inventory management, your character will repeat the same sequence of abilities over and over again for every encounter (raid, dungeon, rift, all handled the same), pvp is an unimaginative timesink, everything requires other people--there is no solo casual experience in the endgame, you spend more time waiting for something to happen instead of playing the game, even when you get a legendary/set item it feels mundane (which is fascinating since it doesn't happen often), the list goes on.

    What's most disappointing about Diablo Immortal is the stagnation. Blizzard has pushed the envelope with each new release of Diablo. From 1 to 2, the game went through a metamorphosis that redefined the genre; 2 to 3, after a difficult early phase, the game once again redefined the genre (in some ways for the better and some ways not); Immortal, not only fails to push the franchise forward in any way but also seems to take a few steps back from the growth that Diablo 3 showed after years of refinement.

    All of this, not even to mention the insidious microtransactions... There are better games out there folks. Yes, you can play this game for the hefty price of $0, but even at free, your time is better spent elsewhere.    … Expand

    Was all good and fun until lvl 33 where you get soft lock to hell, was planning on just completing story but cant even do that without friction. The amount of Pay to progress 1000x faster is insane.

    Diablo Immortal is at it’s core a good game … for a mobile game that said. Sadly the game is riddled in micro transactions and P2W so much it is vile and vulgar. It’s micro transactions is almost predatory and clearly aimed at the weak willed and kids. This is a game you SHOULD steer clear off at all cost. Go play Diablo 2 or Diablo 3 on PC or console for a way better experience.

    Top 3 games of all time in the worst games list. P2W game, you can't even max anything out if you don't have tens of thousands of dollars just sitting there to be wasted. To max out everything in a SINGLE character, you need over hundred thousand dollars. This game is the definition of a game that should be boycotted.

    I'm bothered by the bland story of the world's destruction, which was vehemently influenced by the online nature and spirit of the game or the inability to change the camera. The game looks and runs very well, and you can also adjust the graphics settings on more powerful devices. I'd leave the disdain for the online elements of Diablo Immortal to the eternally doubting and overlooking, because just as you can recognize a good poem, you can recognize a fundamentally good game.     It is undeniable that Diablo Immortal's monetization system has problems and makes the more advanced stages of the adventure unpleasant, but the fact remains that the Blizzard title has brought one of the best experiences in the action RPG field to the mobile market, and it really is difficult to find on the App Store and Google Play Store another free to play with such high production values. Diablo Immortal is an excellent pastime for those who want to complete the long cooperative campaign and, above all, could represent the perfect entry point for those who have never approached the series: even without putting their wallet in, in fact, it remains a pleasant adventure to live while waiting for the fourth chapter to make its debut on the shelves.
