TotalGames.netA fantastically frantic, competitive, addictive and exhilarating racer that manages to take the XG series to a whole new level.
-
The top speed gameplay and accompanying effects that come with it are really impressive. The only real downside is that there isnt enough depth in the gameplay.
-
Tight, if heavy control, a seriously improved weapon system that makes for a lot of fun, and the insane tracks that XG fans have come to expect from the franchise. This is a bigger game -- more courses and a slightly expanded Season Mode, too.
-
Unfortunately for Acclaim, the Cube has just been hit up with three outstanding racers including "Mario Kart: Double Dash!!," "F-Zero GX," and "Need for Speed Underground." In that company, XGRA looks average.
-
If only the weaponry was more balanced to better fit the racing action, this would be one hell of a racing title.
-
Play MagazineThe speeds are insane, the courses almost incomprehensible and the immersion factor deep, provided you have patience and surgical analog skills. [Oct 2003, p.72]
