J.P.Jul 31, 2003For what a fps can be without a keyboard and mouse, the level design is very good and the gameplay is great. And the sound FX are also cool: 'Hail to the king baby!'

RockmanSnakeAug 8, 2003Fun to play, this Duke Nukem title is all about killing monsters, finding keys, flipping switches, that sort of stuff. Kinda like DOOM. It has a good framerate, decent graphics, and frantic action that will make it a worthy purchase. Don't forget the Duke Nukem attitude packed into it too!

This game has tons of action, blasting away at alien scum, and won't get beaten in the course of a couple of hours. It's definitely one of the deeper ones out there.
-
For the most part, the look of the game is very clean. Unlike "DOOM," which could be occasionally muddy and hard on the eyeballs, the levels in Advance tend to be bright and easy to maneuver.

As of right now, you can't find a better handheld shooter than Duke Nukem's first GBA adventure.
