Not-too-bright enemies coupled with garish graphics are both a lesson in frustration and an eyesore. It takes a lot of the fun out of blasting a floating brain type when the aforementioned baddie looks more like a smudge than a foe.
  2. Despite all its faults, and while its not a horrible game, it's just really not that fun to play.
  3. Those who have already experienced earlier versions of Duke Nukem will grow weary of this diluted version rather quickly.

It was the 6th FPS released for the system. Duke Nukem Advance brings all the attitude and fire power to the small screen in a richly detailed FPS. The game feautures 4 exotic locations taking you to Area 51, the Temple of Amun in Egypt, the streets of Sydney, Austrailia, and an alien ship orbiting earth. The game feauters 10 fun weapons from your mighty boot to a shrink ray. All of the classic enemies from the original Duke Nukem 3D are intact with a few welcome editions. This is not only the best FPS for Game Boy put, in my expert opinion the best game for Game Boy. This is definitely top-notch stuff! Full Review »

It is identicle to Doom in almost every single way. The thing that makes me notice Nukem is that there is more plot around it, there arent really cinemas but there are little text boxes which gives Nukem a little bit more of a plot. There is a little bit more strategy to the boss levels, for ex. you can use a crushing block to kill one of you bosses. There are some voice acting which i find cleaver. The graphics are decent, their not jaw dropping but they deffinetly dont suck. For some example i really like the gun that you are holding, they seem realistic. The monsters are a little cheap looking and their not exactly smart but thats alright. I also like the way the levels vary, you can go from egypt to sydney which adds some variety to the game. Good game! Full Review »
